I’ve got some exciting news to share! I’ve created several new songs in the last few days!!! How? What? But Richard is the songwriter! Uh-huh. He is. And now, I am too! How is that possible? I’m simply his muse. A singer. I’m not a musician. Ah, but with Suno AI, it seems I don’t have to be a musician or know anything about music or songwriting!

Listen to the first song I created, Whisper of the Ancient, with a simple prompt having to do with the metaphysical experience I had in 2004 when a deep voice (outside of myself) woke me up in the middle of the night with the words, We Are All Connected:

Whisper of the Ancient (v. 1) — Sheila Murrey, songwriter using Suno AI

And yes, Suno AI gave me two versions. And I love them BOTH! So, since I can’t decide which version to use for my music video… you tell me (in the comments)! Which version do YOU like best?

Whisper of the Ancient (v. 2) — Sheila Murrey, songwriter using Suno AI
Suno AI even generated this image along with the song. In all of about ten to fifteen seconds. I love it! Doesn’t it totally capture the essence of the song?

But is this AI songwriting stuff a good thing? I mean, I am a multiverse author, writing about ALL things multiverse… (you’ll see when I get my 5th book done), but I just couldn’t get beyond the fake-ness of AI! I must hear SOUL in the music I listen to! And AI has no soul. Or does it?

I’ve been highly skeptical of AI for YEARS! In fact, one could say, I hated AI.

It would take jobs away from authentic illustrative artists and in this case, songwriters. And for those of us, like my darling husband, it would add even more songs to the glut out in ‘pick me’ original song land and make it that much harder for our original songs to be heard and chosen for commercial projects (TV shows, films, games, and so on).

Maybe all we’re doing when we dig deep into authenticity, is that we’re just balancing out the fakes? Does fraud exist to balance out the authentic real?

Speaking of fakes

While reading about Suno AI on Rolling Stone, I saw this article about Johnny Depp calling out all the scammers using his name and likeness to bilk people out of thousands of dollars. And I remembered writing about one contacting me on Truth Social. –Rolling Stone: https://www.rollingstone.com/tv-movies/tv-movie-news/johnny-depp-warns-fans-ai-assisted-impersonation-scams-1235226994/

I must thank fellow blogger and songwriter, Gray Summers for strongly suggesting that Richard and I should check out AI music generation. (I fought against the suggestion, he can attest to that.) Synchronistically though, Stephen Cooper (you’ll remember his name from all those daily music blog posts I wrote in 2024, as he was our first and long-time music producer in Nashville, TN.), sent Richard a link to try Suno AI. My new job has fizzled

I’m not sure what’s going on with my new job. But after only a few days, I haven’t heard anything. I was supposed to be on a Zoom call Thursday with the team and without any notice (and I sat on the Zoom for ten minutes, waiting), I found out they couldn’t get the Zoom working for ‘technical reasons.’ Ugh! I was sooo disappointed! I’d been working so hard to prepare for it. Was all that a waste? I was excited, and I guess that had been good. At least, I’d been having fun.

Spiral thought: Maybe the way we feel, the excitement, the thrill, is our payment? Our payment for spending time on a project even if it falls flat.

I’ve updated the Connect with us section below, so keep scrolling…

Everything happens for a reason in the multiverse with myriad sides to every story

Yes, Everything Happens for a Reason in the multiverse and Everything Resolves to Gratitude. Knowing that each of us (as fractals) uplifts my mind and allows me to view life as a lively kaleidoscope grand design that moves about in an ever-expanding, revolving, melodious, consciousness. Even if we have to disconnect from some people, for a time.

Enjoy (IN Joy) everything and love! Be Everything All the Time. Let’s THRIVE in ’25!

Yours in expanding, coexisting (because there’s more than one-side to every story), balancing, spiraling consciousness,

About us

Richard and I play at the intersection of Energy, Spirituality, Health, and Music, to let FREEDOM ring for ALL! We’re down to earth (even if we are conspiracy theorists), yet not in the ground! We’re just dancing around in rhythm with the mystifying Multiverse… all humble like. But we’re always thinking, onward and upwards, so we keep exploring and creating!

My husband of 19 years, Richard Murrey, is an award-winning illustrator, plus he’s a seasoned guitarist, bass player, and songwriter (having penned over 400 original songs).

Video of us performing Live: https://vimeo.com/416711742?ref=fb-share

All of our 400+ original songs are available for song placement in TV, film, games, etc. Video content creators, filmmakers, podcasters, production companies, deejays, Vloggers, YouTubers, and more can use our original music and songs in movies, TV shows, video intros, and such. We’re also seeking bands to play our songs. If you know of any up and coming musical artist, please forward this blog article to them.

  1. Hi Sheila. When Richard began using AI imagery for his songs’ videos, it got me thinking of a guy from my past. Dill was in bands that were around back in the 1970/80s and he has currently made about 190 albums. I listened to a podcast where he spoke that he was using AI for his songwriting. I have no idea as to what is involved in such ventures. But it is always interesting to seek for further knowledge. As you are doing now. Who knows where it may lead in your using such media to build onto your own philosophies and presentations.

Since I have been recording my songs using GarageBand, the reality of situational need is that I use various inherent instruments to create ‘bulk’ for my songwriting ideas. So I play on an AKAI keyboard that allows access to hundreds of different instrumental sounds. I play the guitars, sing vocals and write the keyboard tunes/melodies. Avoid inherent alterations like pitch perfect, type of vocal sounds for changing my voice. The ideal situation for the actual finished song would always be to involve real musicians. But it is good to see how a song could develop with added overlays. Your own views on using Nashville and session musicians is very valid. Soulfulness is something we have both mentioned in the past re: music. The human touch. But what you have produced here is really soothing. Especially the first female vocal one. Reminds me of the relaxed sounds from the art form that is New Age Music. I remember listening back in the 1970s to New Age. So that has been around for decades. So back to your new venture here. A worthwhile contribution definitely to Complementary Therapy, Yoga, Mindfulness, etc. and such a really great vibe.

I did read about Johnny putting a message on Instagram about this situation. Unfortunately there are very many scammers out there. Do certain social media platforms really protect you from them? No. I was scammed out of a £100 before Christmas and the scammers were allowed to continue because they were not breaking any rules! Many complained to the platform, but no one listened. Cheers Sheila.

    1. I’m so sorry to hear you were scammed, Gray! And to think the platform allowed them to continue?!? That IS maddening!

Thank you for all of your super kind words about my new songs, especially the first one on this post. Yes, I remember New Age music, though most of what I used to listen to was instrumental with some ooh ahh’s or such. But on these songs I prompted AI to use Celtic, Ambient, Rock (believe that?) and this is what came out of it. I spent a couple of days on this and didn’t have to pay anyone! Ha! Sure beats the Nashville studios as far as cost is concerned!
Of course if we had interest from someone with a big budget we would hire a band to play and record these again or have them go on tour, but that seems like a pipe dream. And after decades and $100,000 or more spent, this fills the void and is actually fun for Richard and I both to play around with! I was never too interested in the songwriting aspects before and even the singing felt like another chore I had to do. Ugh!
Yes, Richard was going to check out Dill’s songs but then Stephen Cooper sent him the link to Suno AI. I am curious about Dill’s music though, so I will check it out from what you sent previously (I still have it in my sent email box).
Lovely chatting, Gray! Thank you again.

      1. I think you have a very good songwriting capability Sheila. This AI experience is bringing out the truth to your inherent songwriting visions. And free, at present, too. As you say, in no way could I afford to bring someone to my songwriting party now to play and be paid. Also. At £200 a day for recording studio time? Out of the question.

Dill was a great friend back in those days. My Mum absolutely adored Dill to chat to. She worked in the Wholefood Shop that Angie worked in, way back when, in Coventry, UK. His band God’s Toys were well ahead of their time. Toured with Adam and the Ants I seem to remember. TV appearances too. I believe Dill has the God’s Toys album on his Bandcamp site. Well worth a listen. And remember it was recorded way back then in the 1970/80s.

I’m so pleased you are looking at and analysing your AI experiences. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. All the best.
