THINK Beyond Your Genes – August 2022
Two days after hurricane Ian ripped through Florida, making landfall about 35 miles south of where we live, my husband, Richard, suffered a stroke.
Richard had a few new songs in progress at the time his stroke occurred. He had literally just finished the music for this, but hadn’t sang it yet, within hours of having the stroke. Once again proof that the hurricane caused his stroke, or was the straw that broke the camels back at the least. Stress and over exertion is what I will forever blame. And the lack of useable communication from the power company that holds the monopoly over where we live in Florida. Ugh.
When we listened to this song, that we got back from our Nashville, Tennessee studio today, we cried. Literal tears fell on our faces because we turned our upset (about the storm and lack of actionable communication from FPL) into art!
Ready?
Here’s the song! (It’s not me singing; we hire professional singers who do studio work in Nashville, TN):
We’re focused on learning new ways to cook and eat. New ways to save money. New activities to improve our physical bodies, such as moving more, walking, working out with our Yamuna balls and other rehab type gym equipment, and taking more time to sit together and hold hands.
Now, I am Reiki certified for levels I and II. I have an herbal class on my schedule to accomplish in December and then I will be working on reaching the Masters level Reiki in January. I give my husband Reiki every other day now and send distance Reiki to anyone who asks (I have a schedule for this). I have also been contacted to help with communications for Dr. Raymond Moody of Life After Life! And I am feeling the blessings in ALL of this!
I thought this would be a short post, but want to thank a few people! ❤️😉
Thank YOU, Victoria Stitzer (and our beautiful Reiki circle practitioners and attendees) for sharing and teaching profound Reiki concepts and practical application. https://transformvegas.com
Thank YOU so much Beaird Studios! https://www.beairdmusicgroup.com
Thank YOU family and friends for gifts, calls, Facebook shares (of our story and music), as well as warm thoughts, prayers, holistic bio healing sessions, and sending loving Reiki Energy.
I have a new book coming out SOON! Stay tuned.
I have a passion for WORDS and Connecting people. In particular, I love speaking and writing about spiritual and consciousness raising topics, holistic wellness and simple healthy living. I am empathic, intuitive, compassionate, and kind, with a keen and unified wisdom about life.
I’m an Amazon bestselling author of two co-authored books: “Transform Your Life Book 2 Inspirational Stories and Expert Advice” and “Energy of Receiving”, available on Amazon. Two days after hurricane Ian ripped through Florida, making landfall about 35 miles south of where we live, my husband, Richard, suffered a stroke.
I have no pictures to show you of what the stroke did to his brain stem, but I have seen the evidence of how it has impacted his speech and physical abilities like walking and playing guitar.
We understand the brain is like a sponge for three months, ninety days, post stroke, so now is the time for Richard to push himself a bit to encourage neural plasticity to relearn things and create new neural connections. It seems all my study into how the brain works (I’d been studying it for other reasons than to rebound from a stroke), are helping us through this time. My monthly calls with Dr. Bruce Lipton and listening to the recordings in his online forum have given me hope.
We’re grateful to meet a general practitioner medical doctor near us, who also happens to be a guitarist songwriter, has helped us understand the medications a bit more too. He can communicate with Richard and connect with him on multiple levels, which is very reassuring.
And of course Richard’s sister, Rose, and her husband, Alan were our biggest supporters throughout this time, actually driving from Kentucky to help–her decades as an ER nurse and personal experience were invaluable to us. We still incorporate things we learned from them as we live our “new normal” each day.
Emotions have run high during the nine days Richard spent in the hospital (yes, some are symptoms post stroke), as well as during his rehab and recovery at home. Synchronicities hit us when we listened to a song he’d finished and received back from our Nashville, Tennessee studio just prior to this event happening.
We’re now, actually living the concept of “go where you are celebrated, not just tolerated.” We’ll be moving to a new area when our lease is up in Bradenton, as #1 we don’t want to live near the coast anymore, and #2 none of our friends from this area have shown up in person to help us. I know that sounds negative, but I don’t intend it to be negative as in bad, simply that now that we know this, we can move to a northern area of Florida without any guilt or feelings about missing them.
I had more friends in the St. Petersburg, Florida area and points north anyway, and living somewhere between Ocala and Brooksville should work out better for us to seem them whenever we can. It seems to me that people who live north of the Skyway Bridge do not want to travel south of it and drive across it very often. And of course in general, many in my circle have not been venturing out nearly as much after March 2022 when C*VID became a thing.
We’re focused on learning new ways to cook and eat. New ways to save money. New activities to improve our physical bodies, such as moving more, walking, working out with our Yamuna balls and other rehab type gym equipment, and taking more time to sit together and hold hands. And I am getting certified in Reiki again and practicing more self care and in turn, practicing Reiki on Richard each day. And I am finding blessings in ALL of those things.

Oh, there we go.
Okay, good morning.
I can talk while I’m driving on my way to meet Gloria Grace Rand’s and Dr. Bruce Lipton or uncle Bruce as we call him in Bruce’s online community. And Gregg Braden and Dr. Shamini Jain in West Palm Beach, Florida. (I was traveling to attend the Consciousness and Human Evolution – TCCHE conference that day.)
Alright, so the interesting thing that’s already happened on this little journey… I’ve been in the car now about an hour actually a little more than an hour, and when I left Bradenton there was absolutely no traffic on Manatee Avenue and I don’t think I’ve ever seen, is that by leaving at 5:09am in the morning on a Saturday, there was absolutely no traffic. I saw two other cars that were even out and awake, they were not going in the same direction as me.
Then when I got out side of town just a wee bit heading toward Myakka and Arcadia (on route 70 out of Bradenton), I had the extreme pleasure to start experiencing a little bit of rain. And I thought, “Oh no, don’t tell me it’s going to rain all the way there” but because my “soulie sis” friend, Jacqueline, had sent me an Abraham-Hicks YouTube (and I didn’t have time to listen to it, the day she sent it), I emailed the link to myself and started that (playing in the car) when I left the condo.
I was listening to Esther Hicks channel, Abraham. I’ve been listening to this and it’s a compilation–a one hour Abraham-Hicks link and I’ll link it here: https://youtube.com/watch?v=e7OAUqJWH0A&feature=share
I’m listening to this and the rain starts. I thought, “Oh no, I’m not having that thought of this rain.” And “I’m gonna have to drive all the way in this rain because I know Florida and I know Florida weather and it can change in 15 minutes or five minutes even.” So, I just told myself, “I’m not going to have this thought.”
I (noticed) that I was behind a big truck. And there was another big truck beside of me on this four lane highway. I realized that I really didn’t want to be beside this truck. So, I got around one of them and I was behind one. And I thought I don’t want to follow this truck. But then the rain started coming down harder. And I saw, we were still X.
When I had initially recognized that this was going on with the trucks on the road, I thought, “Well I bet we’re the only people on the road at this time, right? Because they gotta get to wherever they’re going a job site or something early.”
I decided that with my windshield wipers not so great that I’m going to stay behind this truck. And Esther continues to talk; I continue to listen. I started appreciating that I’m behind this truck.
Now at this same time, another thought that comes into mind from the movie Die Hard. In the second Die Hard movie when they’re landing the plane. Holly was on the airplane. When they were landing the plane, Bruce Willis goes out to the airfield–he’s on the tarmac–he started a fire from the bad guy’s plane. which lights up the runway with fire. And so yeah, it was one of the other planes that had came in and it just kind of slid in without its landing gear. I think that’s what it was anyway, and then there was a fire. And he says, “Holly!! There’s your landing lights!” And so as soon as I remembered that flash from that film, I was like, “Wow, thank you!” And I and then I realized I was behind a toilet tanker truck. A fairly large truck and and he had LIGHTS. He had his regular tail lights but also a third brake light that was high up on the top of the tank.
Oh, there’s some deer; a little deer family. Thank you that you were far off the road and that you were in no way in any jeopardy of me hitting you. I appreciate that. And I just passed a sheriff deputy too. So thankfully, I wasn’t speeding like relentlessly but I’m out in the middle of nowhere. Yeah, I saw the deer and so I started slowing down. So, that’s a good little thing too. That just happened.
I’m following this truck and I’m realizing it’s a toilet tanker truck. Then I look at it and love how his lights are so bright. And so in all that rain, I could really see the truck. And I could see the road really well.
We have brand new tires on the car so I didn’t have any worry or fear or anything like that (about the rainy road). It was a matter of trying to see because it was dark at that time in the morning.
So, it’s completely dark. It’s raining. I’m noticing these lights and how bright they are. I’m thinking about Holly, here’s your landing lights, and instead of being in a hurry because I knew that I left early enough and I didn’t oversleep or anything like that. I’m just feeling really good this morning. I got up though, a little tired or sleepy or groggy, but now I thought this is so cool (to take this drive alone). And then I realized I’m behind the toilet tanker truck.
Now normally, and especially if you have any doubt at all about any kind of accident occurring, this is not the kind of truck you want to be following. Maybe. It’s up to you. Maybe it’s full, but I just had put a smile on my face and then I patted myself on the back of each shoulder with the opposite hand. You know, keep one hand on the steering wheel yet pat myself on the back and go. This is a really cool way to be thinking of these thoughts while I’m listening to the messages of Abraham.
So, I I was thinking, he’s my angel. He’s my angel toilet truck. Toilet tanker truck driver. So he’s my angel toilet tanker truck. And I’m just gonna follow that and so Abraham was talking about just when you get to this good feeling place on whatever subject you’re on, just milk it you know, just milk that good feeling.
So I was just like man, big smile on my face listening to Abraham. And like, how does it get any better than this? It’s raining. I’m behind an angel toilet tanker truck. And he is my landing lights. He’s guiding me as we go because the road turns from a four-lane a two-lane and it runs all the way across Florida. It’s route 70 from the Bradenton-Sarasota area, all the way to Palm Beach.
We use this route when we go to Jupiter as well. It’s really a beautiful drive. And I mean there’s not a whole lot to see but you see old Florida, you go through little towns of Myakka and Arcadia and Okeechobee. It’s mostly flat. It’s beautiful though. And then of course leaving that early and more, how dark it was. You you can probably imagine what else I was going to experience this morning, the sunrise! What I didn’t think about was the where the moon was in its position.
So, Mr. Angel toilet tanker truck, just about the time that the rain starting to ease up. I would have followed this angel toilet tanker truck for about 20 minutes or so 20 to 25 minutes. As the rain just starts to ease up he turned off. He peeled off and went to his destination. And I thanked him, energetically, with a wave of my hand kind of thing and said, “Thank you, Mr. Angel toilet tanker truck man or woman. Thank you for being my angel this morning and guiding me through that rain.” And then I didn’t have to worry about not being able to see a dark road in front of me that kind of thing. I didn’t have any worries because I knew he was my angel. I just felt that he or she were my angels. So then it stopped raining. I didn’t need him anymore. It stopped raining. I can’t not notice this. So I was just smiling and laughing to myself even more about that. And then within maybe five minutes I’m looking just scanning the road the sky and I see a little tiny this this this tiniest shimmer and there were a lot of clouds in the sky, as it was still so dark.
I mean, it wasn’t sunrise yet. It’s only getting to be sunrise now. I’m nearly an hour and a half into my drive. But the sun still hasn’t broken through but it’s that wee early hours kind of light in the sky. There’s a lot of clouds.
I look up and I see the smallest thin sliver of the moon! It was a pretty good size moon, not huge, not like a blood moon, autumn moon, or Harvest Moon, but it was just very pretty silver. And it was like telling me, here’s your silver lining. I mean it was the end. And I tell you I can almost see the outline. It was almost like a lunar eclipse. You know, the eclipse of the moon where you still kind of see the outline of the whole circle, but then you’re really only the light–just catching like the edge.
It was so pretty and it was this crescent moon. Now I’ve seen the crescent moons many times where they look like if you were to open the palm of your hand and stretch your palm out to catch water or something. That’s the bottom crescent. The crescent of the moon is on the bottom, but this was on the side. And it’s open. It’s open side would be on my right. So if I were to hold, you know try to draw you a picture here with words but yeah, so in fact if I find a picture of a similar photo, I will insert that image here.
I was just relishing, you know, listening to Abraham… I was relishing the rain stopping, and that I would tell the story about my having had an angel toilet tanker truck guide me through the rain. And then I realized that I hadn’t had a chance to wash the car (for weeks) so really, I’m now getting a car wash while I’m on this drive! When I get to where I’m going there won’t be bird droppings and stuff on the car. Because normally we park in covered parking at the condo but where I’ll be parking at the convention center the car may be outside. So, this way, there’ll be no bird droppings. A bird recently dropped something fresh on the car. It’s now been washed from this rain.
All Things Considered. Everything’s going my way. And that’s what Abe often says about everything. I am where I am and it’s okay and everything’s going my way. And why not me? You know why not me? Because we know Source Creator omniscience is the bigger part of me, and you!
So, why don’t we imagine like Source? No. So why can’t we imagine at least that everything is going our way?
Why not me, as it was, the main message Abraham had for me. And it reminds me of that song. If you know it, the old song The Judds, saying why not me. So don’t judge me.
Yes, well, thank you for reading. Thank you for listening. Much love and many blessings to all as I continue my journey.

Jesus said you could do greater miracles than He, but most of us don’t believe it!
Most people were raised “programmed” to go to a doctor, professional, when you had a problem. I’m different. I wasn’t raised that way. We went to elders of our church for laying on of hands for healing. My grandfather went to a chiropractor and so did my grandmother, and then mom and so on. Yes, my mom took me to the same chiropractor and then to his son (who also became a chiropractor–that family business is, in fact, still in operation).
As I wrote in my health book, Take It Upon Yourself to Live a Wholly Vibrant Life, my grandmother took fire out of burns. My grandmother also was healed of St Vitus Dance when she was a child by her mother (my great grandmother) massaging her arm as it began to wither and “dance” uncontrollably.
Your subconscious controls your belief. Think depths of ocean = subconscious and surface are the awareness, or what we are conscious of in our daily life. To practice stillness of the subconscious allows you to have more conscious awareness of what’s going on at the surface and no matter what is going on at the surface, external factors, inside we are calm and content. Bliss. Not thinking. Not anxious. Not fearful.
Why is this important, now?
I joined Bruce Lipton’s Community recently and been doing back through all of his previous webinar videos (one can only access when they are a paid member of the Community), and I am educating myself, and continuing to expand my own consciousness of how we heal ourselves. Biology of Belief x 1000! Haha!
Would you love to join me? (Here’s the link: Bruce Lipton’s Community)
I’d love to see you there!
Here’s what I’m learning more about (these are the list of topics uncle Bruce has answered from people like us, on the monthly webinars):
I am also putting these in a spreadsheet to count how many times people ask about the same or very similar topics. But certainly, if you read through this list, you can get some idea what people are interested in who follow Bruce–of course, I assume you have read his book, Biology of Belief, right?

In many circles you will hear people say that “words are powerful,” but do you believe it?
If words are powerful, do you know why? Because words carry vibration. Vibrational TONE. The tone sets up something for people, and animals too, that carries your intention forward.
Think of a time when you called out to a loved one, or pet, by name. Maybe they came to you. Their choice. Their free will. But, maybe they didn’t come to you. Or maybe not immediately. Perhaps they chose to stop whatever it was they were doing that you didn’t like. Or, perhaps not!
You call out again. Still, they do not bend to YOUR will, wishes, or desire. You call AGAIN. This time your tone of voice changes, getting more irritated, annoyed, angry, and LOUD. You can’t understand why, with all of the energy your vocally transmitting to this person (or pet), that they aren’t listening. And hear me now (believe me later), you’re not commanding their attention.
You are attempting to control that person or animal with words.
Yet, the only difference in the words is the tone.
I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to drop whatever I am doing and go near a person who’s yelling at me, especially when I hear them using an angry tone. If however, I sense they are calling for me from a caring heart-centered place, I will go. Especially, since I am an empath.
If, however, I sense the yelling has a concern behind it, such as: “Get out of the way,” “Fire,” or “Help,” then yes, I will likely respond by moving quickly, calling out to others, getting help, or offering assistance.
You can tell someone’s intention by their tone of voice.
We almost instinctively perceive tone!
The first thing the person who yells a lot must get (understand) is that they do not control anyone.
The authoritative shouter may make someone uncomfortable enough that they choose to do something for them / bend to their will (think of a soldier going through boot camp) but, 100% of the time, all day, every day, the person on the receiving end of the shouting / yelling has a choice.
If you are yelling at me, I can choose to do as you desire, or NOT! The world does not revolve around you!
So, why do people feel the need to control others with their words? What is all the damned yelling and shouting about anyway?
Over time, yelling at me just desensitizes me to the shouting. Or, my body becomes so stressed that I leave, and get away from that person – even if it means quitting a job! Loud vocals stress my body, if I choose to internalize those commanding words.
I would simply say, loud vocals stress my body, but that is only true if I’m accepting of them.
For example, if I love a particular rock band, I can go to the concert and love the loud singer! So, again, it’s all in our interpretation or how we perceive the tones, or words.
Children hear, “sticks and stones may break my bones but words can never hurt me”. Is this true?
Studies show people who are constantly yelled at become negatively conditioned. (The particular study I linked to here says it also depends upon how much credit we give to the person yelling at us, someone in authority, or parent, etc. their words carry more weight!)
Words roared at us, even more so by those we love, either set us up to become aggressive (anger directed outward) or go into our shell, turning anger inward which, turns into depression or resentment. They may get to a point where they no longer pay attention to anyone who yells at them or they cry, become nervous, etc.
Yes, some words hurt, but maybe not for all the reasons we think.
The intention of the person using the word sets the tone. It’s not just the word that hurts.
Words after all, are just words. They are not REAL. They may represent something, but they are abstract and we can choose to define them any which way we want!
Words need to have a shared definition before they really count for anything anyway. Shared definition is very important – for example, you may define the word “fun” very different than I define the word “fun”. Interestingly we may define the words: “hurt,” “fear,” “pain,” etc. very differently based upon our understanding and experience.
When someone speaks light, fun, happy, or encouraging words to us the tone is typically lighter too! We feel it. Think of how your lover speaks to you. Think of how your best friend speaks to you when you’re engaging in fun, giggly, or perhaps deep insightful conversation. Think of how your grandparent or other close relative speaks to you WHEN they are flowing pure love (energy) to you. You feel loved, warm, and cared for as they speak! You know that they love you, their words are soothing and envelope you in love. Ah!
So let’s try a little experiment. As you sit there and read my words, be sure there is nothing else going to make you excited, no drama – ok? Make sure you’re not distracted and that you are relatively calm and peaceful.
As you begin to read the following list of words – note if any push your buttons. Specifically do they get you riled up, mad, sad, or other negative emotion. You’re safe. No one is physically going to harm you and you know this. Only check as you read each word slowly if you feel any mental or physical response. Here goes:
Do you feel anything in your mind or body as you read the words? Can you agree that these are just words. Characters on the screen. If you felt anything in your mind or body do you see where that is because of the way you define the word or link it with a previous experience?
When someone relays a hurtful story do you, do you find yourself wincing or in some other way empathizing with their story? Again, you are not IN their story – no one is attacking you, but often I find that many of us (especially empathic people) in some small way can sense or feel the pain the person went through during their experience. It’s also the reason I won’t watch certain movies. If I don’t feel the pain in my body I may have bad dreams because the movie assaulted my mind.
To take this topic, “Words are only as powerful as we allow” in another direction, what about doctors who tell their patients they only have 6 months to live? Those words hurt in another way.
In my opinion, doctors break the Hippocratic oath when they tell patients they only have x number of weeks or months to live or there’s nothing else they can do. The doctor may not shout at you, so it’s not the volume of the voice (such as yelling) but those words are very heavy to receive. In fact, it has been theorized that a doctor’s end of life time frame prediction could induce an auto-suggestion manifesting as self fulfilling prophecy.
What’s wrong in this scenario is that people ascribe so much weight to the doctor’s words because of the physician’s credentials and so-called authority. The finality of the meaning we ascribe to the time limit of this death sentence (no pun intended) really packs a punch! In fact, I recall several people telling me that when their doctor told them they only had x weeks or months to live they literally felt a “punch in the gut” of their body!
So, do you stop to question if the doctor’s statement is really true before reacting? Do you take a few minutes to engage your cognitive mind, stay calm, and let the doctor know you want a second, or third opinion? Do you seek out many other experts? Or do you take this one doctor’s word for when you will die? I invite you to think about that because the nocebo effect (read Bruce Lipton’s book “Biology of Belief”) is being proven every day. Of course if you challenge those negative words (and some do – thankfully) they prove the opposite and outlive the prescribed time frame and experience spontaneous healing!
I have been studying the placebo (and nocebo effect) that Bruce Lipton, Phd. speaks of for several years. When we got into the “raw and living foods” philosophy of eating back in 2008 we shared meals with many people who rejected their allopathic physician’s “limit on their life span” and took it upon themselves to gain knowledge and allow their bodies to heal naturally. Dr. Lipton still interviews about the placebo effect and how traditional western doctors only get about 15 minutes of education on it in medical school. In my opinion, even if doctors got a whole course on the placebo effect (and nocebo effect) it wouldn’t be enough.
Dr. Alison J. Kay talks about the placebo effect as well. She has studied in the east, Asia and India and thoroughly knows and understands the basis of the placebo effect (using several modalities, including meditation) and it’s relationship basis of subtle energy. (Reference my full article about Dr. Kay’s work here.)
Recently I’ve come upon an interview by Dr. Paul Drouin of http://iquim.org/ along with Dr. Joe Dispenza where they discuss the placebo effect –>> Click here. This also may explain by how so called “false hope” may indeed be helpful to someone. When you look at the science (which is just measured observation) it begins to make sense.
Let me give you some happy and light words and see if now, they change your mood, or if you feel these in your mind or body:
How do you feel now? Again, just words. Again, just what meaning you attach to these. Did you think of your pets, loved ones, children, etc.?
One of the Pixar short video’s we love is called, “Dug’s Special Mission” from the movie “Up”. In it there’s a line that my husband and I say to each other often when we’re seeking to be understood. It’s always said in fun, and with a light heart. The line is: “Do you understand the words that I am speaking to you now”? It is our belief that the intention and tone used when words are spoken, often say much more than the word chosen implies.
I am a tonal. I read between the lines – a LOT! Sometimes I get it wrong, or maybe not. Maybe people just catch themselves and then clarify what they mean when I question their words, but I am always seeking to understand. Sometimes when I perceive someone speaking in a harsh or brisk tone it takes me awhile to figure out if they intend to be forceful, irritating, or hurtful. Their tone has probably caused me some undue fatigue. I have even been irritated by the tone of someone’s laughter! Has that ever happened to you?
If you are in any kind of pain or dis-ease, let’s try that same word power game. Focus on the pain in your body. Assign the pain a number 1-10 with 10 being the most intense. Now read the following words:
Check in with your pain again. Has your number 1-10 come down?
Even if your number only came down one number say, from a 9 to an 8, that’s improvement! If so, this validates and proves to you the power of words. Read them again but this time in the voice of one person (who either now or from your past) who has a voice you love and who always spoke in a nice, sweet, caring tone. Do it now.
Recheck your pain level.
Bottom line: Words only carry the power (vibration and energy) as we allow. The tone in which the words are spoken (either out loud or in our heads), or the authority of those who speak the words – attempts to make the words carry more meaning / power, however we still have a choice whether to buy in to that or not. If we do not buy into people’s authority, the power of their words mean less to us. If we can decipher someone’s intention based upon the tone we can also better choose whether to accept or reject their words.
Peace and love to all.
