Is God Real?
Is God Real?
For many of us, WE wouldn’t even pose this question. And yes, I do draw a distinction between “real” and “exists,” such as if I were to ask, “Does God exist?”—a similar, yet different question.
WE undeniably KNOW God is—but, is the isness real (as in physical matter), or spirit?
Those who know God is Real don’t just believe, but came to this knowing through experiencing God, via our senses, by way of esoteric phenomena that we can only attribute to God.
I believe atheists and doubters have asked either or both questions at some point in their lives, because everyone experiences some things that they can’t explain.
I’m not here to change an unbelievers mind, but I would like to present a slice of my reasoning for believing the answer to both questions is YES.
Defining Reality
Any good survey starts by providing definitions. So, let’s examine my previous articles to provide my thoughts on the definition of “Reality.”

Hearing from God
In the article, Research Is Shedding New Light on Hearing Voices, the author writes that William James, who established the first experimental psychology laboratory in America at Harvard, concluded:
God is real in the reality of the impacts on those open to the possibility. Considering whether or not to choose such openness, James decided that it is more beneficial to act as if there is a transcendent that gives an ultimate meaning to life.

Granted, not all believers in God claim to have heard God’s voice, such as Neale Donald Walsch, author of the series of Conversations with God books. Nevertheless, most believers do credit God with healings and a variety of phenomenon (such as synchronicities) that cannot otherwise be explained.
My friend and fellow spiritual author, Elliott Eli Jackson also writes of conversations with God in his series of The Sapiential Discourses books.
Sacred Sites

Life After Death
As you may recall, I wrote an article, https://sheilamurrey.net/2019/04/19/a-surreal-vision-of-soul-departing/ after my dad died (crossed over to the Grand Beyond), which was quite the profound experience. That surreal experience, as well as others regarding my still born sister, Christina (link in the section: Metaphysical Experiences), lend to my knowing of Life After Death, and add to my beliefs of Omniscience (my name for the unknowable Dao, or God).
Friend, film producer, co-founder of the Spiritual Cinema Circle, and author, Stephen Simon has now, published a book with his beloved wife Lauren (who crossed over to the Grand Beyond in her sleep). Turning towards Spirituality
Because I just can’t put all my trust and faith in any ONE person, concept, or teaching anymore, I have turned towards Spirit to lead and guide me.
I consider all I have learned up to this point in my life, as guideposts. Like training wheels help a child learn to ride a bicycle with proficiency and under self locomotion, that is how I view all religious instruction. Good for a time, but once you’re strong and steady in your knowing, and you have fully integrated Spirit, God, Source, Divine Essence, live the Dao, accepted the garment of the Christ, etc. you’re walking your path.

The Watch
The Watch
When my mother passed away, or as I believe, crossed over to the other side Beyond The Veil, I felt that I needed to find something of hers to hold, to sort of self soothe or comfort myself.
I remembered mom had given me a teal color gemstone pendant many years before. And I sought to find it.
I looked for the pendant several times. We live in an RV, so it isn’t like there are that many places where it could have been stored. I searched through all of my jewelry. But, I couldn’t find it. Maybe the thought to look for it was something put in my mind to keep me busy. I don’t know.
Instead of finding the pendant, I found my mom’s wrist watch and a very old pocket watch, which I think had belonged to my maternal grandfather.
When I brought both watches from the bedroom to the living room and sat down, the thought dropped into my mind that mom was telling me something: It was time. And that I was given both watches in case only finding one wouldn’t get the message across—and she then impressed upon me something only she could, “because you can be thick headed.”
Understanding this message from my mom, made me laugh a little and really lift the sadness I was feeling about her death.
My mother died in West Virginia. A state she had always loved. It took some time for us to travel from our Florida home to where my parents had been camping in their motorhome.
As soon as I pulled the car into the driveway in West Virginia, my dad greeted my husband and I and handed me the thin gold chain my mom had worn everyday for the last several years of her life. We hugged. And cried. And my papa was not a man to show tears.
Gold chain
I wear the gold chain daily that my papa handed to me when my husband and I arrived in West Virginia. And yes, I eventually found the teal pendant that my mom had given me. It had been in my jewelry box all along! But it had been wrapped up in a tangle of smaller chains and until I took the time to unravel the chains, I couldn’t see it. When I discovered the pendant, I was surprised and was certain this was another lesson from my mother.
Time with dad
While we were in West Virginia, my dad and I walked, talked, and appreciated ALL.
While walking through a nearby campground, that a long time friend of dad’s had owned, Papa told me about all the different kinds of trees there, which thrilled me, as I didn’t know dad knew all of the names of the trees in that area.
I told dad about the how I’d found the watches and asked if he knew who the pocket watch had belonged to, and he wasn’t sure. But dad also wore a wristwatch and always had. I never looked at the kind of watch dad was wearing.
Awhile later, papa found another one of mom’s wristwatches and gave it to me. It was one that the face was in a heart shape and had little footprints 👣 inside. It symbolized the story of “footprints in the sand.” And I recalled mom wearing that watch for many years.
21 months after my mom passed away, I received dad’s personal effects from the funeral home, and low and behold, dad’s watch had a blue face (when the light shines on the face the blue looks different). Looking at dad’s watch, brings my mind right back to the story I wrote as, That Little Blue Dot. I instantly tune to the knowing that, mom, dad, and my unborn siblings (in particular, Christina), are ALL together.
I recall sitting in dad and mom’s little Hyundai (about a year later), and thinking how mom had always wanted to give me a car. She talked about that often. Mom had not wanted me to have to work at age fifteen to buy a car, or make so many car payments over the years.
So, in one clear, mystic moment, I said, “Thank you.” Thank you mama and papa for leaving me your little car. Thank you for Everything.
Growth transcends Time
I observe only growth, and note how each item of Omnipotent God’s creation grows at differing rates of speed, be it bird 🐦, bee 🐝, or me. Growth transcends Time.
Time with mom
I share spiritual moments with my mama still. When my heart is open. When I am washing pots and pans she gave me years before she died. When we use the stoneware she gave me. When I drink from the crystal glasses she left behind.
My heart is full. We are all connected. We are all one. Gratitude envelopes me. I resonate with ALL of this knowing. Eternal. No time. Everything happens as it should, and mostly for reasons that mostly only later dawn. ❤️🦋🌀🙏☀️💦🌱☮️

Be one who predominantly appreciates and loves.
If someone says or does something that upsets you, it’s okay if you don’t know or say the right thing “in the moment.” After all, you don’t have a staff of writers at your beck and call. And nobody’s perfect.
Just breathe and take a moment to ground and recenter yourself. Take a moment to feel freedom and peace within and outside of yourSelf. Balance.
In my experience, people either speak from their ego or their programming most of the time. It’s rare to talk with someone soul to soul, and priceless when you do! ❤️🦋🌀
My mission and mantra
I’ve read again my previous articles here and here and redefine my mission as follows:
In every moment, while BEing my deep, authentic self, acknowledging and integrating Source Energy (Spirit) in ALL I do, I release Ego and judgmental thoughts and hold true to my “GodBumps,” (as my physical guide, to remember “to thine own temple be true”), I will seek to awaken, and connect independent souls to their limitless talents and potential. On feeling the need for Protection
No protection required.
What is “Protection” about anyway?
It acknowledges (and often promotes) that there is anything or something “out there” to fear. And I want to “fear not.” I believe in a friendly universe. And Omniscience has my back anyway.❤️🦋🌀🙏😉☀️🌱🎼
On feeling down
Whenever I am feeling low, or in a down state, I reach for “a better feeling thought”, typically one of the enveloping Omniscience that exists in and through ALL (that immediately dissolves BS, whether it be from others, or of my own making), or that Everything Resolves to Gratitude. Then I say aloud, Thank You. I see it all as the Universe bringing ALL back into Balance. Lessons learned and healed. ❤️🦋🌀😘
Present moment
Why live in the present moment?
- To feel freer
- Audaciously awaken
- Fully engage my authenticity
- Function from a positive or neutral place
- Open to new awareness
- Balance any imbalances
- Embrace limitless possibilities

Our minds tend to get convoluted and play tricks on us. Sometimes referred to as the “monkey mind”, our individual minds often skew our reality according to the “old tapes” (phrases) that play over and over in our heads, fears, conditioning, past traumas, invalid prejudices, opinions that belong to others—not our own, beliefs that no longer serve our highest and best version of ourselves.
When you are aware your mind is filtering your reality based on the past, you can change it with that awareness. In fact, awareness is the change.
I never understood “worry.” I’m too independent and determined for that. ❤️🦋🌀
COVID-19
I thought you couldn’t believe in things you can’t see? This virus has expanded your thoughts about the unseen things, hasn’t it? Now, do you understand the phrase, We Are All Connected?
So much love… to you, through, and around you…I feel it too (though not as severe as you experienced yesterday, but who knows. Maybe my time is coming. And now, thanks to you, I will know more). So, for me, it is all the other changes we’ve been going through, plus when I go to the store, I see many empty sections: no eggs, less vitamins, no rubbing alcohol (wanted for bug bites, not for hand sanitizer recipe), etc. I had to really force my conscious mind to notice the fresh produce, and canned goods, water, and so forth. It is all so weird. I am quite a mix of energies at the moment.❤️🦋🌀
On death
I feel into this and it aligns and resonates for me. After losing (in the physical), both of my parents in the last couple years, and having beautiful visions from both of what they experienced during/after their souls departed, I no longer see death as any kind of end. I’ve never feared death, though I used to cry a suffer through grief when anyone close to me died-especially pets. But, after seeing all I have seen, some of which is on my blog, I do not grieve anymore.
All we need to do is love and keep our intentions pure, always helpful, always kind. Because in the end, Everything Resolves to Gratitude.

Mirror neurons and Soul-connections
I learned long ago that we cannot change another person. The habits they have and their personal characteristics are held deep within themselves—they may hide certain habits to win you over too. But, what they showed, that attracted you to them. For example, in the beginning of the relationship if they cursed a lot, you thought it was funny or cute. Ten years later, when your significant other curses, it annoys you. Really, that is your issue. You’ve changed. They haven’t.
After a year of dating, another year of cohabitating, and then five years of marriage, my mirror neurons synchronized with my husband’s mirror neurons. It took a job loss, our two doggies getting older and slowing down, and my proving to him that we couldn’t pay for our house (that at the time we had 25 years left on our mortgage), to get him to come around to the idea of full-time RV living. But, two weeks after we had moved into our 5th wheel—and I am NOT KIDDING—he sat across the living room from me and said, “I love this! We own this? Why didn’t you MAKE me do this YEARS ago?” Hahahaha
I about fell out of my chair!!! I don’t MAKE him, or anyone, DO anything!❤️🦋🌀🌱🤩😉

Loneliness
What’s the difference between being Alone and being Lonely?
I always knew there was a reason I loved that old song, “Love the one you’re with.”
I’ve learned not to put anyone on a pedestal. Actually, I have had to learn that more than a few times.
And as others here have said, family isn’t always defined by blood.
Spending time with and being present with those you love is the best gift any of us can give/receive. And if you don’t have anyone, go find someone new. After all, there are 7 billion people on the planet. No one needs to be alone.
Oh, and loneliness is not a lack of people, but a lack of purpose.
And all of that wisdom cost me a lot more than two cents!❤️🦋🌀🎄🎁💫

Moving into 5th density experience
5th density experience
I truly see where I’ve been moving into the 5th density of experience since 2005.
In the beginning
I became aware something profound was happening to me when I started getting GodBumps while talking about Conscious Living, expanding awareness, Christ Consciousness, raw vegan foods, Spirituality, etc. with coworkers. And I have been on a quest to discover “WHY” ever since.
Getting it
When you really GET Jesus (or the Christ, or Buddha, etc.) you no longer need the church, temple, etc. Going can be invigorating or fun, but you don’t need it.
You’ll find church to be wherever you hang out with others of like-mind and they will uplift you.
You don’t have to be brainwashed or programmed into a certain rigidity. Too narrow of a focus can lead to separation.
Virtuous Integration
If you want to experience the love of unity, apply and integrate what you’ve learned into your day to day. Practices do not need to become rituals, but deeper awareness while performing daily tasks. Pray without ceasing. Seek the meaning and lesson from every interaction.
Continue to become aware of your own virtues; the highest ideals and values of your life.
When you really GET why you came to live in a body, you’ll no longer need teachers or coaches. You can have fun with them and continue layering knowledge and wisdom gained into your system, but mostly everything you need to know can flow into you, if you are open to receive. Be an open vessel.
Layer upon layer new techniques or such, but understand why you are taking care of your body. You’ll live a wholly vibrant life!
Reasons people leave Church
- Outgrow it – see through the programming
- Have been offended
- Not being told the Truth
- Been traumatized or abused
- Victimhood
- Intolerance
- Bashing other churches or faiths
- Questioned too much
- Gossip / slander
- Infidelity
- Sanctimonious attitudes
- Hypocrisy
Now, don’t kill the thought messenger for pointing these things out. You are more than sheeple!
Our bodies are our temple
Having cleaned a branch church building for months and then being told to leave during a storm when shelter was needed, showed my mom which side those “good church members” were on—and it was not God’s. I could see right through them, though it took mom a bit longer to come around to that knowing. Those hypocrites were living in fear of the insurance company!
Ah, split energies! Know this: Jesus didn’t preach in churches!
Choose you this day how you will feel, and whom you will serve. Find your inner tranquility in each moment.
My being-ness resonated with this video.
I appreciated Neale’s transparency and Eckhart’s powerful stillness (even while he was speaking), as contradictory as that seems.
Bliss. Yes, the more we integrate and allow our Spirit to lead (instead of our Ego), in our daily activities, the more we feel it and know the truth of us.
No graven images
Why no graven images?
Primarily because graven images remind us of the past. And we are to live in the present moment. The dead do not need shrines. And everything man-made will be destroyed in the end. Everything is temporary.
God is ever-living Omniscience
Are you smarter than God? You think you are if you presume to know how God wants you to worship a particular religion. The knowing or “path” to LIMITLESS Source Energy Creator is a narrow one because most find it too difficult to let go of earthly material possessions and simply be present in every situation.

The Grand Beyond
Ah! The bliss and joy I feel when I imagine what the heavenly realm of the Grand Beyond is!
I imagine all the beautiful sunrises and sunsets one sees from the expansive view from the Grand Beyond.
What might it be like to reconnect with my loved ones in the Grand Beyond…
Even if I am not with my loved ones in the Grand Beyond after my Continuation Day, perhaps I will go on to create a new galaxy where many can enjoy the earthly fruits of their labor. And my loved ones can gaze upon that galaxy with awe. They may choose to join also!Oh, what a heavenly and splendid galaxy it will be!
I am writing a metaphysical novel that will explore the nature of these things, but for now, I will leave you with this:

About Omniscience
Limitless
Omniscience is Infinite Spirit, limitless, unbounded, and eternal.
The phenomena of ALL Nature, physical (seen and unseen), along with the spiritual, are the myriad expressions of Infinite Spirit.
Understanding of these expressions, and living in harmony therewith, bring about balance, joy, and vibrant living.
Omni-Everything
There is no particular “God” bigger or more true than another, as there is ONE SOURCE. All religions offer ways (practical and mystical) that are belief systems in an attempt to help humans rejoin Source, as streams and rivers rejoin the sea.
ALL existence (not merely the personal egoic identity) of the individual continue after the death transformation when the body releases the soul and resides again in fullness beyond the veil.
Each of us are fractals of Omniscience. There is no one more important or more powerful than another. Is one color of the colors in the rainbow more powerful or important than another? No. So, there is nothing wrong, only our limited perceptions delude us when we think that way.
Everything is Energy. Those who dismiss that are denying the omnipotent power of Omniscience.
Living it
Live a moral life to feel better and help others feel better also. There is no boogie man in the closet nor in the depths of your mind. You have Free Will to delude yourself, but ultimately nothing is wrong. Have no fear. Everything resolves in the end. And you will thank God for your life one sweet day. You will see then, how every thought was known and every action was seen.
The Golden Rule is a good standard to follow. It is found in the Bible and other sacred texts of various religions:
“Whatsoever ye would that others should do unto you, do ye also unto them.”
This will serve you well, especially if you make your Free Will choices with that end in mind. Not out of fear, but from a calm and centered place of knowing.
I feel that I’m walking my talk and living in alignment with my purpose when I feel a physical sensation in my body that I call, God Bumps. But even with any perceived missteps I make, I know that Omniscience envelopes me and I check my Ego at its feet. Some may call this Grace or Mercy. Some call it “being Saved.” No harm can come to me. I Am. Eternal.
Ivan Panin a self proclaimed atheist spent 15 years pouring over the Bible’s sacred texts and proved numerically that the original words could not have been scribed without divine intervention. His research changed his mind and opened him to accept God’s eternal plan. Will you study to show thyself approved?
Omniscience shall not be mocked!
No fear shall prevail against the believer. We humbly bow to a Higher Authority. 🙏

Natural laws exist as a container for the human experiment. Breathe.
And as you breathe, think of something to be grateful for. Yes, #GRATITUDE for ALL you have been, and have the opportunity to BE.
Experience
The putative (subtle) energy of Omniscience is known by different names within human traditions. In traditional Chinese medicine it is called Qi (pronounced CHEE), in the Judeo-Christian tradition it is called Spirit, and in Ayurveda it is called Prana and represented in the doshas.

What do you do after?
What to do after?
After a loved one passes away, transitions to the Grand Beyond, and has their Continuation Day?
How long do we mourn? What else is there to do?
Well, I grieved, yes. But fairly soon after my daddy died, an awareness came upon me. And of course I had that vision, so that soothed my mind and calmed my emotions.
Good grief
How can grief be good? Who the hell came up with that old adage? Ugh!
I have cried and cried, but at some point I realized, I couldn’t change anything.
So, why all the tears? What good was that doing? Okay, I was processing my emotions and letting them out. That’s helpful perhaps. I was cleansing my body by the act of crying. But why was I crying?
Guilt
I can’t change anything in the past.
I can’t spend anymore time with my parents (in the physical), or talk with them anymore.
So, because of that, because there is no more time to sit with my mom or dad, I feel guilty for not visiting them more, for not listening to them more, and for not taking more of their wise advice. I feel guilty for a lot of things.
However, as I allow those feelings to flow over and through my mind and body, washing my heart center, I realize those are simply my thoughts (my perceptions) of situations that occurred in the past. Past hurts were previously discussed (in many cases, YEARS ago) and lovingly forgiven, so there’s no practical need for my mind to rethink on those times now. I have learned that regret is simply an action of the mind. I don’t know if anyone really understands why the mind does that, but I think most people’s minds go through those gyrations.
Eternal Gratitude
As I sit NOW in this time and space, I feel utter and thorough GRATITUDE for ALL. Ahh, the Eternal Gratitude!
My beautiful parents gave me sooo many priceless gifts! They created ME! They gave me life, breath, and were my most important teachers! And as much as I love, speak and write about them, no amount of words can begin to describe the immense gratitude I FEEL. Ahh!!
I am so glad that both of my parents knew I loved them. Oh, how glad I am that we always told each other, “I love you” and “hugs & kisses” each time we talked!
Learning
We learn through the mistakes, miscommunications, fault-finding, pain, and more. And we learn humility. We learn grace. We learn that we can’t take anything with us when we transition from this life. And how many of us think that day will never come. But, it will.
Time
We count it and think we can keep it. We say our watches are time keeping.
For some, our Continuation Day will come too soon. For nearly everyone, it will come unexpectedly.
Shine
In every moment, are we exposing our best selves to each other? Are we a shining light?
Stones to Diamonds
What’s the difference between the diamond and the rock?
Pressure. ❤️🦋🌀
And the cutting. Look how the skillfully cut diamond SHINES!!!
From stones to diamonds, pressure over time makes the difference. Do we buckle and cry under pressure, or grow stronger emotionally?
In loving memory
Let’s enjoy (IN joy) each other. Let’s enjoy each moment.
No moments are wasted. All bring value.
Let’s talk. Laugh. Video conference. Take the road trip. And fly to new lands!
It is easier, and feels better, to release the grief and celebrate in Gratitude. Eternally.

A surreal vision: soul departure
Vision of a soul departing
At this time, I am ready to write about a nearly indescribable experience I had the morning after my dad passed away.
My dad passed away in his sleep the night of March 8th, 2019. The next morning when I got the call (from my son), my husband came home from work and we drove 2.5 hours to the property where my son and dad lived. My son, distraught from finding his papaw in that way, asked if my husband and I could stay the night, and of course, I had already decided we would (though we really had not had any presence of mind to take anything with us).
So, as the night wore on, I slept sporadically. At one point, I awoke and cried. As I was about to fall back asleep (about 5am), I had an incredible vision. I saw that my amazing father had been sleeping on the couch in his motorhome and about two feet of the wall, near the ceiling, had opened up and an immense golden light appeared. At the far edge of the golden light, similar to the golden sunlight the next photo captures, there was a distant outline of a city.
Now, I’ve never been one to believe in heavenly streets paved with gold or anything, though the Wizard of Oz is one of my favorite movies, and there’s that scene in it of the shimmering green city of Oz. So, perhaps that was coming through my subconscious. But, the next part is what totally blew my mind!
When that golden light appeared, it took my daddy’s soul, instantly, up and out of the motorhome (through that opening in the wall) and my dad had no choice in the matter. His eyes and mouth were open. His soul departed his body out through his eyes and mouth. My son confirmed to me that dad’s eyes and mouth were open when he found him.
In the vision I was given a knowing that when my dad’s soul departed, he did not have thoughts of missing anyone here, what things he had left to do, what else he had planned to do–Nothing. It was that quick. His soul just left. Poof!
I took a moment to write the following, right after the vision, so I wouldn’t forget it. And so I could tell of it later. This is what I jotted down on my iPhone:
Eternal Love
I know my dad loved me more than I could ever know. I have grieved his passing mostly because I thought he was doing well. He’d not been sick. He looked fine. Not overweight. No beer belly. No diabetes, or any other chronic illness that I knew of. In other words, older, but the picture of health.
And I grieved because I hadn’t seen him since Jan. 6th, when I had visited to commemorate what would have been mom and dad’s 59th wedding anniversary. We lost my mom 21 months prior to dad’s passing.
Dad had called me a few days before he passed and made an “appointment” with me (his word, not mine) to visit on March 18th. Often he’d tell me he knew I was “busy, busy, busy.” Ugh!
Papa had stopped by our place unannounced the week prior, but as fate would have it, my job had called me out of town on short notice, and neither my husband nor I were home when he’d stopped by (and he never just popped in). It was just all salt to open wounds of grief.
I have read that in India, when someone dies with their eyes and mouth open, that it indicates the person did good deeds in this life. Oh, yes! I know this was the case with my dad. Though he’d made his share of mistakes (haven’t we all? I know I sure have!), he learned from them and lived the rest of his days as a beacon of what loyalty and love means.
Forever Home – A Calling
I took this next picture in our home state of West Virginia. It’s of the last property my daddy bought, and of the tree stump where dad used to sit and gaze upon the hills. My son had smoothed the seat after dad had told him he loved the view from there.
Oh, I wonder what dad thought about while he sat there. I have at least one voicemail also, where he’d mentioned this was where he was sitting when he called.
I am now realizing the road of life can be rough. But, when we love, and we know our dear ones loved us, we can consciously choose to smooth it out and know we have nothing to fear beyond The Veil.
Even when we choose, like I have, to take the long way home, it is said that we shall meet again. My soul finds rest and comfort in that knowing. [Insert BIG ❤️ here]!
Every morning I look into my eyes and I see you there. And when I miss you, I kiss the palm of my hand because your blood runs through my veins and connects us still.

It’s ANCIENT and Expansive, not NEW AGE

My path, my journey, isn’t NEW AGE. My path is an ancient and expansive one, as deep and vast as the Universe itself.
Besides, NEW AGE is just a label. A way of dividing us.

My path is not “New Age” In fact, it is quite ANCIENT.
There are SO many erroneous portrayals out there now that the enlightenment path, known today as “Awakening” during humanity’s Spiritual Awakening occurring 2012-2032, has coupled with the marketplace.
Social media memes, you tube videos, even our much beloved – and my fellow – New Thought leaders – still focus on information only, which is in the exact opposite direction of the openings required, after a certain point.
