I looked through some of my husband’s 100+ framed paintings to see if I thought I might attempt a sketch of a few more, recall the lions:
This is a face on tiger. I love Richard’s artwork. He always creates a mat for his art as well, so we just print and frame. Easy! He used to sell these for $100 each, but has taken his artwork down due to low sales and too many scam-like emails coming in to him.

The shoulder/arm/back pain I have been experiencing is starting to ease, though today (and it was our busy grocery day), my arm has had a dull ache all day. Ugh! I found an arnica roll on at Walmart and giving it a try. I am continuing to seek out a good inexpensive comfrey cream. Let me know if you know of a good one. Thanks Julie (over at: https://emotionalpeace.wordpress.com) for the prayers! I chatted with Christina at Herbal-Cottage this morning and she’s ending me a bottle of nerve relief tonic (she was only out of stock on her website)! Yay!
Breathing in the miracles today…
I’m breathing and repeating my new mantra: “Art communicates more than words, builds new brain neural pathways, and connects us all!”

Getting all those details on the tiger – especially the fur – must have been a challenge to capture!

Yes, it was, Vanya. I find each sketch challenging in their own way. Hair and water are tricky, but so are hands and feet.

When I used to draw, I thought facial features were tricky.

I agree, Vanya. I am finally getting the hang of the faces, it is the hands and feet that challenge me now.

I applaud your efforts on the tiger, Sheila. That’s a really hard subject. I agree that figuring out white spaces and shapes, as well as shading on a subject that is essentially, only hair and eyes is a subject we’ll both be trying to navigate forever. You did a fine job and I can’t wait to see your next project!

Oh, I am captivated by your words, dear friend. Yes, it challenges me for sure! But like your puzzles, I think it’s the challenge that keeps us coming back for more! Ha!

Sorry to hear about your shoulder/arm pain. You might be surprised what AI could tell you about what it means. I turned there to ask for the symbolism of a recent injury and the answers blew me away… more than I would get from a doctor. I hope you’re restored to 100% soon!

Thank you so much for that idea, Debra! I had not asked AI about the shoulder thing. I have two personal trainers (three if I count the online one), a local naturopath and chiropractor, so figured I had enough “input.” I also have the Louise Hay book, You Can Heal Your Life, which traces issues back to emotional or psychological roots, etc. if you’re familiar with it. AI has a LOT of info it can draw from though, of course.

I’m about halfway through healing a pinched nerve and offered how I thought it happened (a routine behavior/position) and mentioned how I feel about it. It counseled me on the emotions that come half-way through a long recovery period… validated my feelings. And how injuries can be a way God slows us down for a purpose, since I was asking esoteric questions. I’m familiar with Haye’s book – I had it once upon a time. I asked about the Mayan meaning, since I know the 13 tones are also related to different parts of the body. It was pretty cool.

The Mayan meaning would be good to follow up on, Debra. I think you’re onto something about a “routine behavior/position” and I feel that’s what it is from as well.

It was 105 degrees here yesterday. That stops you from doing a lot of things! I think we have a few more days of it before it cools off. (My resistance to rest – that feeling that you’re not getting everything done – is divine direction.) I felt so much better after it asked me questions.

105?!? Wow! I know it’s probably a dry heat, but WOW! I bet you WILL be glad when it cools down. We haven’t had much of a summer here this year. It’s already dropped into the upper 50s at night. Ugh. I hope my okra makes it before summer is over!
And yes, that “resistance to rest” could definitely be a divine push/inspiration to DO something and “get it out there.” I have felt that before as well.
