I’m sharing two more sketches my soul-sister, artist, and connected friend, Linda Lewis of Thailand (previously from Arkansas) has shared on her blog. Linda and I continue to uncover more ways in which, We Are All Connected. And sometimes it’s almost scary how many levels and ways we DO connect! I will continue to share sketches every so often of the ones that I enjoy drawing and coloring, as Linda is always encouraging me to find the JOY in each and every artistic endeavor I take on. Thank you sooo much, Linda!
See Linda’s painted sketches on her blog at: https://creativeartworksblog.com – as I read Linda’s articles about her daily life, her visits with her dear husband (who’s in a nursing home), and their son, who’s been so brave and steady in the face of the changes his parents have had during this last year or so–taking on the task of moving them from Arkansas to Thailand and all the minutiae of paperwork, organization, and care that has went into that! I honestly believe he’s provided a herculean effort that most wouldn’t even consider much less accomplish with so much love and compassion that I’m taking a big breath just to imagine!
I want to honor our connections on this lovely Mother’s Day. It could be any day though. Because after reading four exceptional articles from The Realist Juggernaut this morning, I am finding that honoring our connections (both current and past from our lineage and family ties), is what’s most important in life! Thank you, John, for these articulate and deeply profound posts that certainly, I will be reading again tonight and sitting with for a long time. I hope others will find them validating and valuable as well:

Health update
The naturopathic doctor used myofascial release and other soft tissue releases to continue working on my left foot, knee, and hips. I’m getting a bit more range of motion when attempting to lift my big toe, but we’re not there yet. I wonder, but hope, I’ll get full use of it again. I’m in no pain with it, so there’s that. It is numb on the inner half of big and second toe. But the sciatica is nearly gone in my back, thus I cannot complain. I have not resumed dancing yet, though I plan to soon!
Continued Forward Motion
I’ve been busy getting ready for Gina’s conference. I’ve done everything on the checklist for her, but I am continuing to refine and practice my keynote speech. I’ve also been building connections with the other guests she’s had on her podcast and previous conference, as well as the other guests on this upcoming June conference. Be sure to follow Gina’s YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@GinaVirginiaCasella
We’ve been watching the three Lord of the Rings films and now, the three Hobbit movies. I must say, my husband and I stay entertained! And I’m nearly complete on reading Russell Brand’s new book and I’ll review it in a couple of weeks. Stay tuned!
Continued prayers for a Facebook acquaintance (her sister, sister’s husband, and niece were in a head on car crash). The crash killed the unobservant driver. Her sister is an organ donor and being transferred to another hospital to keep oxygen flowing to her body–it’s been a traumatic last few days as she’s asked her readers to pray for a miracle, but now, it seems as she’s found some peace in knowing her sister’s organs will aid 8 other people to live more fully. She’d been angry at the hospital at first for not following the family’s wishes–they did NOT want the brain test to see if she was brain inactive. And you know me, I do not give up hope for anyone until we’re in the ground. She’s now simply asking people to stay more present with family and friends. And aware while driving. I agree. None of us know when our end will come.
Also, continued loving vibes and prayers to our author friend and blogger pal, Michael and his family in the UK (https://peacefulrampage.wordpress.com), as his half sister is recuperating from an incident in Idaho. We know physical distance makes things more difficult.
Integrating the Spirals – JIGGLE WIGGLE
In my YouTube channel, I encourage those “over 50” to:
- Open to lifelong learning (observe, gently question, and loosen up pre-conceived beliefs, aka ‘Programming’)
- Become more aware of our thoughts and emotions to encourage more ease
- Loosen up and move our bodies (we’re stuck in our heads also due to our “Programming” and physically unhealthy)
- And become strong and resilient in spirit, soul, mind, and body.
- And to question EVERYTHING!

Sciatica! It took me almost a year and monthly deep tissue massages to resolve mine. My left leg was in a bit of pain, and my big toe was completely numb. I really credit those massages because I didn’t do anything else to get better. I think it was caused by driving for almost 13 hours straight. I’m too old to be doing that, so I’m not doing it again.

Ah, yes, driving will definitely do that, Edward. That happened to me, with my right foot, many years ago when I would drive long distance (say Missouri to Florida for a weekend) and before I had cruise control! Ha! Glad massage fixed you right up. Bravo! I have not had a massage in a couple of years. Thing is, now, where we live, the massage costs more than the chiropractor! But compared to the naturopath, the massage would be less, so I may consider that. Thank you!

You’re welcome, Sheila. I hear you, they can be expensive. The recommendation was twice a month, but I wasn’t willing to pay that much, so I went monthly. I found a good deep-tissue massage therapist, and since I’m a regular, she gives me a discount. The key is to find someone who knows how to do deep tissue. It hurt the first time, but after the second visit, the sore muscles got better. I also had some slight discomfort in my neck, and that’s gone now, too.

That’s fantastic, Edward! I’m going to ask my doctor if he’ll take a cash discount or that I’ll need to reduce my visits to once a month. I will also check out the massage therapist that I can walk to (she’s so close).

Thank you very much, Sheila. This was a very thoughtful and well-written post.
I really enjoyed the artwork you shared from Linda, along with your own sketches as well. They all looked very nice. I love paintings and all types of visual art, so it’s awesome to see people still taking part in that kind of creative expression.
I also truly appreciate you taking the time to share and discuss our articles throughout the post. Thank you very much for sharing those. That genuinely means a great deal to me and the crew. I’m also very grateful for the thoughtful way you connected those larger discussions into your own reflections and experiences.
And honestly, your reminder about staying present with family and friends was one of the strongest parts of the entire post because it is something many people need to hear more often today.
Thank you again, Sheila. I hope you have a great night and week ahead. God bless you and yours always. 🙏😎

This is such a deeply heartfelt and beautifully woven reflection on connection, creativity, resilience, and compassion. 🌿
What stands out most is the thread of humanity running through everything — from Linda’s art and shared creative joy, to the honest updates about healing, movement, and personal growth, and even to the quiet grief and prayer for those facing loss. It feels like a reminder that life is never just one thing; it is art, struggle, healing, memory, and love all existing together.

Oh, so true, Mr. Verma. Life is a weaving of all of it, of everything from quiet struggle and perseverance, to art, joy, healing, and sorrow. Thank you for always offering words of wisdom in your comments.
