Integrating the Spirals: Be your own Shaman

I am sharing a beautiful story I received this morning via email from Nick Polizzi, Host of Remedy: Ancient Medicine for Modern Illness & Founder of The Sacred Science:

When you hear the word “shaman”, what imagery immediately comes to mind? Is it a male or female? Old or young? What nationality?

There is an interesting phenomenon that most experienced ethnobotanists and anthropologists are well aware of, and it’s this: most shamans don’t like to attract much attention to themselves. They tend to dress and act exactly like the rest of the community. Only family, friends, and local villagers who at one time needed their services are usually in on the secret.

Ten years ago, my colleague Shannon and I had the great honor of meeting with well-known ethnobotanist, Dr. Rosita Arvigo down in Central America. She shared some poignant plant wisdom with us (which we will be sharing with you in the coming months), but the biggest teaching I received that day came from a story about a legendary midwife that Dr. Arvigo befriended decades ago in Belize.

This woman was Ms. Hortense Robinson, known by locals as “mil secretos”, or a thousand secrets.

Born on the Island of Cozumel, which happens to be the mythical sanctuary of the Maya moon goddess of medicine and midwifery, Ixchel, Hortense came from a long line of midwives, her mother and grandmother included. When she was thirteen she had to be hospitalized after a severe asthma attack and it was here that the legend of Ms. Hortense began.

One afternoon during her stay at the hospital, a group of chicleros (gum factory workers) raced into the room with a pregnant woman on a stretcher. She was in the middle of hard labor and there were no doctors or nurses in sight, only little Hortense. Desperate, the woman on the stretcher yelled to Hortense, “Come here, child, and catch this baby!”

Instinctively, young Hortense knelt down knowing exactly what to do, guided the little baby’s head out of the birth canal, and caught the little one as it came out. She did exactly what she had watched her mother and grandmother do many times and massaged the belly until the placenta came out. Next, she removed her hospital gown and used it to wrap the baby and placenta up snug, then sat down to wait for the doctor.

The nurses frantically rushed into the room, saw what had occurred, and pleaded with Hortense to not tell the doctors what had just happened. Forgetting that she was a child, they handed her her first cigarette. For some, adulthood starts well before age 18.

Thus began a life of perhaps the most important work there is, delivering babies into the world. Not only that, Ms. Hortense had 8 children of her own AND adopted 14 unwanted babies, raising them all to adulthood!

In Dr. Arvigo’s words, “If she delivered a baby that a woman didn’t want, Hortense wrapped it up, put it in the crib, and took care of it. Sent them all to school. So she raised 22 kids, most of the time as a single mother.”

That was just a peek into the depths of Ms. Hortense.

According to Dr. Arvigo, everywhere they went together, someone would say, “That’s Ms. Hortense and she delivered me!”, or “She delivered all of my babies!”. But what most didn’t know is that Ms. Hortense was also a female shaman.

Rosita told us a story that still makes me smile as I write this:

“Hortense was a female shaman. She had such a connection with animals. All the time that she was staying with me, animals, and birds, and creatures that I never see would come up on the porch and just walk in front of you. Armadillos, all kinds of animals.

Hortense was with me one winter for about four months. She was sleeping in the downstairs bedroom and I was in the upstairs bedroom. One morning I heard a strange noise. It sounded like something scratching. So I got up out of bed and I looked down to the first floor veranda and there’s a jaguar walking across the downstairs porch.

And off it goes, over my deck and jumps into the bush. When Hortense got up, I said, ‘Hortense, you won’t believe it! I saw a jaguar this morning and it was right on the porch by your bedroom!’

She said, ‘SHHH! Don’t you dare say a word. That jaguar comes every night to sleep.’ She said, ‘You didn’t notice that it’s injured?’

And I said, ‘Yeah, as a matter of fact it was limping. It was kind of walking on three legs.’ And she said, ‘That jaguar knows this is a safe place and it comes every night for protection and as soon as dawn comes, off it goes. And it will be there until that leg is healed, so don’t you dare tell a soul.’”

Rosita said that she saw that jaguar about 10 more times. If you were careful, you could get up in the early morning and as soon as the sun came up, off it went.

One night, Rosita asked her if she could sleep with her and wait for the jaguar to come. And it did. Almost exactly at 10 o’clock. The animal came limping in and it laid down. Sitting up in bed, she could see the cat’s back. It was about 6 feet long. A big, big animal and all night long you could hear it breathing.

It was guarding, but was also there for its own healing. It felt safe because of Hortense. It was there because she was there.

In addition to her gifts as a midwife, Ms. Hortense had an innate connection with the natural and spiritual world. Her knowledge of medicinal plants, home remedies, and spiritual healing was enough to fill a library, and she had a lifetime of hands-on experience with patients, big and small. She healed thousands of sick people, using only traditional methods and prayer, and welcomed everyone into her home without prejudice.

According to Ms. Hortense, much of her knowledge came through dreams in which she was shown the herb to use for a particular patient and how to prepare it.

In a beautiful essay that Dr. Arvigo wrote to honor Ms. Hortense after her passing, she says:

“She had humility, and would never big-up herself – in her own words, ‘you could never be too humble.’”

She wore no special garb, had no elaborate ceremony or entourage of devotees. Ms. Hortense lived a life of loving service to others and revered nature like few others do. If you asked her if she was a shaman, she would probably smile to herself and tell you no.

8 Crocodile / IMIX – Vision Quest: Day 8 of 13

Mine your MIND

Why do we always say something is ‘mine’?

Why do we have to own anything or attach for that matter? Why must anything be ours, or BELONG to us? He or she who has the most toys doesn’t win. That’s just a way to keep us moving closer to the proverbial carrot. Finding joy in the journey is ALL you have. As the elusive butterfly teaches us, it is always moving, dancing, fleeting.

I don’t even have to attach to ME! I’m not my name. I’m not my body. I’m nothing in particular in fact, but I Am. I am here. I exist. Why?

There’s another way to define the word, ‘mine’

To walk the path of the shaman, we must dig in the dirt of ourselves and mine our mind. We must break out of our programming and truthfully examine our conditioning.

I’m here to challenge you to dig deeper. Honor your past. Honor your ancestors. You are not here by accident. You didn’t pop out of a pod. A woman gave birth to you. And a woman gave birth to her. And so on, and so on. And a man was involved in some way too. The two became one. YOU!

ALL of your ancestors who came before, honor YOU! You stand on their great shoulders. Do you accept the responsibility of their sacrifices? Of their LOVE?

Know this though, when you dig through one layer, you’ll find another. When you escape or break out of one box, you’ll find another.

Open the box. We find another. It's dimensional.

Balance isn’t the point though. Remember the wavy line that separates the black from the white in the yin and yang symbol. It’s wavy because it’s always Balancing. Flowing. Never done.

Life endures. And continues.

Creation never ceases

We are each a bright shining fractal of Ever-Living, LIMITLESS Source Energy! Creation never ceases!

When we examine things in terms of degrees, layers, and doses, Truths will emerge. There’s not only one Truth, there are multiple Truths. There are Universal Laws. And the greatest of these is Love. But can all creation love? This is where we spiral back to programming and conditioning.

At my best, when I am aware of my programming and conditioning and desire to rise above it, I am love-and-in my spirit and heart: I love unconditionally–that means without conditions, such as: I don’t care how much money you have or don’t have. I don’t care what ancestry you have, what skin tone, what ailments, what religion-or not, and certainly not what gender or sexual orientation you are-think you are or want to be!

Underneath the outer layer of our skin, we are all pink! Our blood is blue until exposed to oxygen and then, it’s red!

Because We Are ALL Connected. Because I believe each of us matter. I believe each voice matters even if, in the moment, it seems hurtful. I can then choose to make a different choice. And full circle time, I will own my choices. ❤️🦋🌀〰️

I want you to speak your truth. I want you to be FREE. Yell FIRE in a theater, IF it’s on freaking FIRE!

Good and Bad are LABELS

Why do we always label things good or bad?

Why do we judge so much, or at all? What a waste of time and energy. (Unless you’re a judge or sitting in a jury box, don’t each of us have enough to do without all the judging and condemning of our bother and sister humans?

Don’t we each have enough to do everyday to take care of what’s real?

Light and dark, hot and cold, wet and dry. These aspects of reality are real.

In traditions dating back millennia, the dark, wet/moist, and cool aspects were associated with the feminine. and light, heat, and dry aligned with the masculine. This is why the earth was said to be our mother and the sun our father. The dark soil of the earth accepts the light of the sun and nurtures plant life to grow.

We don’t say the earth is bad and the sun is good. Sometimes too much sunlight can burn our skin (so that could be bad). And when something is extremely cold it can feel hot, or if something is extremely hot it can feel cold. So, again, our senses can be fooled. Definitely calling something good or bad can vary depending on who’s judging what.

Let’s, for now, consider issues we view as bad, to simply be INFORMATION. Yes, even criminals. At some point we have to take a good hard look at our innards, shadow, guts, and admit that in some way, no matter how small or seemingly insignificant, we ourselves have been the criminal, even if only in our thoughts!

To walk the path of the shaman, we must dig in the dirt of ourselves and lift up the dark to clear it. Indeed, to heal ourselves.

Terence McKenna quote

Why do people need some threat (police, judge, jury, prison, or damnation), held over their heads to inspire or coerce them to live a righteous life? Why do we need a supreme Diety or Divine to live rightly?

Are we innately good? Kind? Obviously we get it if someone is hurt, abandoned, or abused they might consequently hurt other people (the whole “hurt people, hurt people” thing). But not everyone abuses others because they were abused. It is more than likely that when we’re hurt we fall out of alignment with our true selves, our Divinely guided inner being.

Some of us simply walk uprightly because it feels so good to do so! We tell the truth because it feels good (and we can’t sleep at night if we don’t).

So, I’m here to challenge and call out the whole idea of good vs. evil. The yin and yang tradition doesn’t specify a preference between them, yin is not bad while yang is good for instance. In the Asian wisdom traditions it’s all a question of Balance. Keeping things on an even keel. Working towards the middle. Staying neutral. When I practice Reiki, I am a neutral channel of pure loving Reiki Energy.

But Balance isn’t strived for in the good/evil traditions.

Let’s do this little exercise, as suggested by Nick Polizzi of the Sacred Science — here’s a link but watch it quickly as I don’t know how long it will be available: https://inneralchemy.thesacredscience.com/day-3-ist/

Write for 3 minutes of a recent “bad” situation that you’ve experienced. Not what someone else experienced as that’s none of your business.

Then write it again but use the terms light/dark or yin/yang to reframe and describe the situation to see how much emotional, spiritual, intellectual we can stretch, open, expand and change our language around the experience. This assumes it was our experience and not someone else’s we have no business in viewing/judging.

What have you learned? What new awareness has surfaced? Do you feel a bit lighter after reframing the situation and releasing the need to write bad/good judgements in the story?

For your upliftment

I hope so! Because the aim of this work is to uplift you.

We are each a bright shining fractal of Ever-Living, LIMITLESS Source Energy! Creation never ceases!

I am love-and-in my spirit and heart: I love unconditionally–that means without conditions, such as: I don’t care how much money you have or don’t have.

I think we care about each other because we are human. We are ALL human beings. I don’t want to exclude ANYONE. I want to be known for Inclusivity.

Because We Are ALL Connected. Because I believe each of us matter. I believe each of our voices matter. ❤️🦋🌀〰️

And, yes, I want you to yell FIRE in a theater, IF it’s on freaking FIRE!

Speaking your truth is healing!

No labels

I am all for NO LABELS!

I could care less what people do (or with whom) in the privacy of their homes, cars, RVs, motel rooms, tents, bathrooms, etc. and I don’t even mind public reasonable shows of affection (it doesn’t have to be vulgar—yes I know I am still judging). And between consenting adults, please. (My mind cannot abide with people taking advantage of children—see my previous post about that.)

Yes, I accept all for who they are. (But I don’t have to live with them.) I have had way too many experiences on different levels than to judge—more than I just did.

On Empathy and being an Empath

As a highly sensitive person and empath, I experience the feelings of others.

I love to find new ways to think and feel that help me keep my heart open to others (and my ego in check. Meaning maintaining a healthy ego—not being egotistical). ❤️😉

On empathy and being an Empath

The Power of Like and Connection

A friend of mine, Michelle Howe, runs Empath Evolution. I highly recommend her and her work.

About Empathy, Michelle writes, “The POWER of LIKE…….. is really the power of connection…. it’s not about how much you know…. or, what you look like….. or, how much money you make…. It’s the power to put others at ease within conversation and CONNECT to FEEL GOOD with one another.

It’s so interesting….. In making my decisions, this one little thing overrules the rest of the stuff. I have to really enjoy someone which, means our energies compliment one another…….
You know it immediately… it’s like a soft pillow.”

And my reply was:
I love that! And now I feel even better about myself as I have often been told (in my tech career), that I easily put others at ease. ❤️🦋🌀😉

Speaking of Power

After watching the story of how Sly Stallone got his movie, Rocky, made—I made the following observations:

Sometimes we do things (things of which, we may not be so proud), but all of it had to happen, just the way it did, for us to build our character, and allow us to have compassion and empathy for others. For when we walk empathically on the Earth, we can be real and genuine. And then, when we make it to what most perceive as “the top,” we carry ourselves with grace, and easily off grace to others.

I can only speak for me, but I think keeping my ego in balance, taking responsibility for all of my thoughts, words, and deeds, using natural health solutions, and staying grounded, are all major reasons I am drawn to Shamanism.

Empaths and Boundaries

I wholly agree with Sadee Whip.

Sadee says, “I often hear people who identify as empaths talk about how overwhelmed they get, how much they take on the energy of others, how hard it can be feeling so much of what is going on around them, etc.

My dears, what you are actually identifying is not the burden of being an empath, but the imbalance you are experiencing at the lack of your own developed warrior energy.

Warrior energy is an ability to use healthy anger and righteousness to set boundaries, say “no”, and properly protect and defend oneself.

If you are experiencing problems being an empath, seek to bring about balance and wholeness within yourself.

  • This means use your voice.
  • Say no.
  • Tell people they are full of shit when they are.
  • Don’t let others walk all over you.
  • Don’t let others disrespect you.
  • Don’t give of yourself until you are depleted.
  • Ask for what you need.
  • Accept responsibility for your circumstances.

Being an empath, I promise you, is not actually the problem.

Learning to be open and not bleed out is an art. One worth practicing. Focus on your warrior energy and bring that into balance with the empath energy and you will find both peace and power.”

And to this question:
How does this work for healers – mental health therapists, social workers, teachers, etc? I can only say no and set boundaries to an extent in my daily life. My entire day involves saying yes to walking with others through their trauma and pain.

My friend, Andrea, shared her answer:
It’s more about people letting others energies in. Picture your own personal energy space surrounding you about three feet out, with a pink cord from your heart out to others. We stayed connected to others by the pink heart cord, but we don’t let others energies into our personal, self contained space- unless we want to.

This practice is one people can learn to keep others energies from affecting them, draining their energy and so forth. One can do energy clearing every day, from head to toe, visualizing a silver waterfall (and if you do this while showering it can be even more effective, as water is extremely energetically and physically cleansing). And then you can visualize your body surrounded by white or gold light. You can also visualize the violet flame inside your chakras too. This burns off all residual energies of others. (Many thanks to Andrea for this recommended practice!) You can read more at: Andrea’s Personal Blog.

Chakra Balancing:Yoga to Balance Mind-Body, Spirit and Soul

I am sooo glad I attended this aWEsOMe class four years ago:

Chakra Balancing:
Yoga to Balance the Mind, Body, & Spirit offered by Dr. Ronald Porter in St. Petersburg, Florida

In the yogic tradition, the chakras are known as wheels of spinning energy found throughout the body.

Usually, energy has the ability to flow though us with ease. However, the situations we encounter in life can often leave our energy blocked and unable to flow freely.

Gentle way to bring healing to your body. It’s as close to you as your breath.

Working with the chakras through yoga is a means of restoring a healthy flow of energy throughout the subtle energetic body, therefore bringing balance to the physical body.

Dr. Ronald K. Porter proved to me (during the workshop) that through movement and breath, I could partner with the Energies in my body to heal it!

In the class, we explored both the meaning of the chakras and subtle energetic body, and engaged in a yoga practice specifically focused on balancing the chakras.

Practicing yoga in this way, and incorporating it into my soul helped me realize I was also doing some very deep soul work too. Thus, why I added Soul to the title of this post. ❤️🦋🌀☯️

I found relief in my body, as I did the breathwork to move Energy into spaces and places I had not focused on in years, if ever.

Specifically guiding my breath, brought immediate healing to one of my knees, and kept the energy medicine working on it for several days later! I knew I had found a healing method I was going to continue to use for the rest of my life.

I now incorporate basic elements of this in my transformational self-coaching program, Integrated Spiral. Won’t you join me?

Do you think Jesus was a Shaman?

Was Jesus a Shaman?

Think about the following list, in comparison to what we think of when we hear the word, “shaman,” perhaps Jesus was a Shaman.

Story of blind man – Jesus instructed the man to put mud on his eyes

Tempted? Jesus purportedly said it would be better to pluck out your eye (if you couldn’t control your own lust) than lose your soul

Faith – touching hem of his garment (energy flowing through him encompassing his clothing – aura)

Fasting much

Prayer – all the time and in every thought

Solitude – Spent 40 nights in the wilderness

Preaching outside – walked and taught to people where they were, typically to people who did not attend church

Overthrow money changers in the temple – honor God – disruptive – he condemned the corrupt and greedy religious hypocrites

Jesus proclaimed things that were counter to what the priests in the synagogue were preaching, and spoke with authority

Essential oils – used natural elements

Alchemy – changed water into wine

Walked on water and calmed seas – controlled and “partnered with” nature

Jesus ate with publicans and so-called sinners, to the point that some labeled him “evil.”

Jesus was disruptive. ❤️🦋🌀

Perhaps, we can each be our own shaman.

Perhaps, digging in the dirt when I plant seeds in the dark, moist soil, doesn’t make me a shaman, but when I repot a root bound plant, I consider how I am disrupting it for a moment, so it can have more room to grow. And somehow, that makes me feel like a shaman—at least a little bit.

And we can each, grow through the dirt. ❤️🦋🌀☀️🌚💦🌱

Thoughts?

Do you think it’s time to disrupt religions?

God Omniscience IN us, not us IN church. You know, like when Jesus threw those moneychangers OUT of the temple. 🧐❤️🦋🌀🎼☯️🙏☮️

Raising Consciousness: Dense not Dark

Raising consciousness – that darkness is density. While it is hard to look at the inhumanity that occurs, I know it’s important to not bury our heads in the sand and ignore. Dark and heavy subjects are so difficult to write! I choose to look on the positive things in life, but I know there is a dark side (lower dense vibrations), and because of that, I strive to help others by raising our vibrations and expanding consciousness. I do this by offering what I write, from listening to and reading what others write, and offering prayers (full of belief that ALL really is well), and by emitting unconditional love, and compassion whenever possible.

Shamanism

I have been one of those people (in an attempt to keep my vibration high), that ignores drama and tragedy—at least that’s my desire (admittedly, not always possible).

Now, as of Feb. 29th of this year, I have been drawn to the Shamanic path that includes observing the dark, as well as the light. Previous article about this here.

I don’t know, of course, where my shamanic path will lead, but as long as it enables me to expand my ability to help others and offer the most compassion I can muster, I feel that it will be a good pursuit. ❤️🦋🌀🙏

Yes, (winking)… Shamans take that “Rise” shit literally.

Shamans take that “Rise” shit literally.

Observing density

I wish we could ALL drop the word “Dark” and replace it with the word, “Dense.” Density of vibration (lower vibration) is typically what is being referred to when someone is talking about a painful topic.

When one describes a color as dark, that really has to do with color saturation, or the absence of light. But too often people infer that when anything is dark, it’s wrong, bad, sinful, painful, and so on.

I observe the same color, in low light, and the color itself doesn’t change, only my perception of the color changes.

Expansive (and unifying) Reminders

“Don’t place religion above God.” (I don’t know why any of us insist on knowing what we know or being “right” about anything, when God only knows.)

Sisterly Tapestry

As a peacemaker, and a Spiral Sister,

Consciousness, as a topic and in all of its aspects, beckons me to study it further, not out of mere curiosity as much as out of this fantastical question of “where do I stop and you begin?” –and because of my mother, aunt, and grandmother all suffered with Alzheimer’s dis-ease. I am a sleuth of sorts, always and in ALL ways forward-thinking to try and solve the riddle of why we’re here.

You may also like my post, Expanding Consciousness here.

In Closing

About the word. “Love” – you may love someone, (unconditional), or “like,” lust, or infatuation, which many use the word love instead, though it really isn’t love.

Love is patient. Love is kind. All the time, not just when it’s convenient.

Love is caring. Love is being supportive and having another’s back (not back biting).

Love doesn’t require anything. ❤️🦋🌀🙏

The Universe is always (ALL ways) listening!Synchronicity: when you think or do something and someone else shows up in your experience saying or doing the same. Or when you think of someone and within minutes they call you.

Becoming an Everyday Shaman

My current environment (living off grid on private property), has afforded me the opportunity to really, thoroughly, BE in nature.

My husband and I also live in an RV. We’ve lived in our 38 foot 5th wheel home for 10 years, as of this writing. Initially, we both worked outside the home, but now, we are both home all day, everyday. (I have been working from home for the last 3 years.)

I have had to be a hermit due to COVID-19 too.

An Everyday Shaman

So, here’s my little breakdown of what I have learned so far and why I am exploring Shamanism:

Bug bites

I don’t like being bitten by bugs: yellow flies, ants, or other. Do I know they have a right to be here? Yes. Do I know they are food for other creatures? Yes. But I am aggravated when my skin itches and feet, fingers, or toes swell up from the inflammation the bites have caused!

I take a moment and BREATHE.

I try new and different salves.

I make my own salves from Comfrey I have grown. Shamans are said to learn from plants and make nature-based medicines, like balms, tonics and tinctures, and salves, and are focused on documenting and sharing beliefs about herbal remedies for various maladies. Check!

And I am getting better at remembering to apply bug repellent (I have tried many different natural and botanical pest repellents), BEFORE I go outside. Even if I am only goinglring out for 5 minutes!

I have had to accept insects are on this planet for a reason. They do a lot of good!

In our garden, insects turn the soil. They attract birds and pollinators too, which enables our vegetables to grow. ☀️💦🌱

I say again, what you resist, persists!

Take another moment and BREATHE. Change your Energy. ❤️🦋🌀

Multi-Directional, Multi-Dimensional

Every morning for the last few years, I have been doing this shaman-like practice:

I fully bend at the waist and let my hands and arms hang to the floor. As I rise, I raise my hands to the sky and say, “Thank you for all the gifts and blessings (knowings) that I have received from the East” (and do this for each direction, north, south, east, and west while turning my body to stand facing each of those directions).

I thank God above, earth below, my past behind, my future ahead, and the cells of my body within. I thank my parents and ancestors and know ALL are WITH thee (my grandparents name was Withee, and this makes that statement personal for me). I know ALL is WELL. ❤️🦋🌀🙏😘

I then, consciously send LOVE out in all directions: north, east, south, west, above, below, forward, and behind. Unseen and seen. Past, present, and future. Indeed, in ALL directions for the benefit of ALL.

There is nothing to forgive, because there is value in Everything. And Everything Resolves to Gratitude. ❤️🙏

Unifying

Lately, I have mostly been getting my socializing online. And while I enjoy being online, some people tend to hide behind their keyboard and say things that are disempowering, unsupportive, judgmental, even unkind online that they wouldn’t tell me in person. And that saddens me.

Some of my “Love and Light” friends don’t act like they believe in unifying. They claim to believe in unity, but then they call me, or others names. Name calling is NOT unifying. There, I’ve said it.

And for Christians, one of the most used directives in the Bible is, “If my children,” “When my people,” and so on, do this or that.

God’s children, God’s people are called to be unifying, to serve, and to Love.

For more about this, read my previous article here.

So, yes, sometimes it is loving to leave someone, if you can’t manage to see another’s perspective and be open to growth and change, or muster the self control to be kind. ❤️🙏

What you resist persists

Will we get mad at certain things or people? Probably. But to live a wholly vibrant and fulfilling life, self control (starting with mastering your thoughts and emotions), is your work. Everyone has their own opinions. Let others be. Is it really your job to ruffle feathers?

Consider these quotes:

If we could change ourselves, the tendencies in the world would also change. 🦋

Ghandi

Remember, when you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

Albert Einstein

Every feeling makes a subconscious impression. The dominant of two feelings is the one expressed.

Neville Goddard

Self control

Look at yourself. Are you perfect? And what is perfection about anyway? As I’ve written about before, expand your mind to find perfection in the imperfection.

Life’s an art more than it is a science. The need to be perfect is fear based. There is no perfection in Art.

Shine your light. No judging required. Have a little self control. Timing is Everything. I get that this is a matter of practice.

Conditional

By its very definition, Love is unconditional. You can’t say, “I love you” and then get mad when your loved one does something you do not like. That would mean you only like that person when they meet your conditions.

You are rarely loving anyone. You like people. You like animals. You don’t love people when they do or say things you don’t like or agree with. It’s a wonder anyone stays married anymore or has children. So much discord.

Try a little patience with those who think different than you. Love is a seed. Let it grow instead of rooting it out or stomping it to death.

You don’t know what’s best for everyone. Nor do you or I know everything. Honestly, none of us will ever know Everything.

Art of Allowing

Because I have had to find a way to actually live my beliefs with a husband who is “constantly under foot” and doesn’t always agree with me in thought, word, or deed (action and timing), I am so glad the Universe brought Law of Attraction and Art of Allowing into my life in 2008.

Now, I am really integrating everything I have learned into my life!

When I get stressed, I stand up, take some deep breaths, exercise, do some yoga or qigong, take a walk, or sing!

Growing living things

I have planted seeds and watched them sprout.

Too much rain washes them out of seeding containers or moves them out of the place where I put them in the garden.

Too little water and the plants die. I am hydrating myself more now too!

I love watching ferns sprout through the dirt and form a delicate spiral. I love ferns and never knew they did that until I walked through the forest enough times to observe them growing.

We all grow through the dirt. ❤️🦋🌀🙏☀️💦🌱

Sending love

The gratitude and love I feel and send is unconditional. I must send it to those I disagree with, as much or more than to those I agree with, otherwise I am not growing or expanding my consciousness.

I have broken down too. But, for now, I choose to bend as the willow. I choose to rise in growth. I choose to unplug from my phone and rest. I choose to turn, turn, turn. There is a season for ALL things.

Wrapping it up

I’ve written previously about some of my dreams and hypnosis sessions (similar to vision quests that Shamans do) to gain knowledge, direct revelations, and other dimensional guidance and healing.

I use breathwork, solitary time (to include prayer and meditation), fasting, singing, and chanting, like Shamans do. I enjoy drumming, but tend to do it only on my body, instead of an actual drum. I don’t use psychedelic substances, but can reach an altered state of consciousness by meditating.

I communicate with crystals, dirt, sky, stones, trees, and some animals. I know that I am a diviner, with an ability to bring healing to the planet by connecting Heaven and Earth.

Some shamans work with unseen elements within the subtle realms of sound frequencies and light (bodies of light and shadows). And while I know they are there, I am not bold enough to think for a moment that they work with me, though I am grateful for their help should they choose to intervene.

I embrace the ALL of what is wanted along with what is not wanted. The dark and the bright shining light that comes from mindfulness and accepting the sacred geometry within nature. There really is value in Everything.

Namaste. OM
