Getting into the spooky Halloween spirit… uh, maybe?

I don’t really decorate for the holidays, but I did get a witchy hat recently, and I hung the Halloween skull outside the front door (image follows). Oh, and I bought some new little battery lights for the clay ghosts I made last year and moved them to the built-in next to our TV in the living room. I’m now humbly calling that whole built-in (which has three more shelves above what you see in the picture), our ‘ancestral wall’. That is with the exception of an old photo of ME that my dad always loved. It was one of the few items I got from my parent’s home after my mom passed in 2017. Richard loves the ghosts and has asked that I keep the light ON in both–even during the daytime. LOL

Moves Method

NEWS! I have now lost 3 inches in my waist circumference! I’m thrilled that the daily movement, as well as eating more protein (mostly by consuming a cup of Greek yogurt daily), has given my metabolism a boost and encouraged my body to release the lard (as my friend Linda always says about her weight loss).

Here’s my most recent post about doing a horse stance and shoulder dislocates 30-Day challenge. Yes, I am attempting to maximize my time. And integrate mind-body, spirit and soul (I get some prayer/meditation time in while moving.)

Currently, only my Instagram and TikTok posts are tracked by Moves Method (for potential payment IF and when I accumulate a certain amount of views, and as of right now, I’m no where near enough views after two months of plugging away at these posts). But I am hopeful AND the potential helps fuel my motivation! Haha! Win-Win!

But I still share to Facebook and my YouTube channel as well, because why not! Eventually, I’ll earn some YouTube revenue. Right? Maybe!

Balancing out the spookiness

One of my memes that I had to revisit this week after someone told me in a Facebook comment, “Shame on you.” I didn’t reply, pretending I didn’t see the comment. I don’t really know what that phrase is supposed to mean anyway, especially coming from someone who knows nothing about me other than I am giving Russell Brand the benefit of the doubt in regards to his trial. I understand a lot of women are up in arms about “no means no,” but since I wasn’t there, and neither were they, and he was quite admittedly under the influence of his addictions at the time (drugs, alcohol, and sex), and the accusers waited 20 years to bring a lawsuit, I am simply not going to grab a fire lit torch and start chanting to burn him at the stake. For God’s sake.

On the lighter side for Halloween; Diving deep re: UFOs; Multiverse in our DNA?

My daughter and granddaughter had an art class at the studio where my daughter works, and made these beautiful Halloween scenes out of fused glass. I knew at least a few of you would like them (Dawn and Linda!). Ha! I have not been sketching this week, as I’ve been trying to learn CapCut for making my Instagram/TikTok/Facebook/YouTube mobility videos to promote the Moves Method. I have been using Edits, and I’ve pretty much mastered it now. Thus, I thought I’d drive myself crazy by learning another new video editing too. Ugh! LOL

Moves Method

I got through the corn maze just fine and didn’t even get winded! My son-in-law and daughter (both were still recuperating from a bug, he actually had pneumonia!) and the three of us completed the maze in 20 minutes–even with turning around a couple times! The three granddaughters went on their own and it took them 35 minutes longer to get out of the maze! Kids! I thought they’d beat us out. Nope!

Now, I don’t know how much weight I’ve lost, but I’m feeling so much better! I’m down almost 3 inches in my waist circumference now, so maybe I’ve released 20 pounds? I know all my clothes are looser than they were last year!

September 15th – The taste

It’s September 15th, 2024; We have an original country song for those who love Country Music. This has some fiddle in it too! It’s a great song about why extraterrestrial aliens might have come to save the planet. “They say this is the taste, that saved the human race. Uh, oh! (Speaking of moving)

In one of those series of cascading events, painful and humorous moments, my daughter and I went out to an art class last night and both ended up hurting ourselves. Not from drinking either! In separate events, my daughter had been sitting on her couch, cross-legged. One of her legs fell asleep and when she got up, she thought she could just ‘walk it off.’ She’s done that in the past with no problem, but not last night! She put too much weight on her left foot and ROLLED her whole foot over on her ankle (toes went completely underneath her foot)! She called her husband to come downstairs (he does Live YouTube streaming on a gaming channel), and he said she was crying so hard he thought someone died! He came over to coordinate things with me (because the twins were in bed, oldest was at her dad’s and not home to watch them), so he could take her to the ER. I got out of bed too fast, to answer the door and twisted my leg or something and got a twist in my right knee!!! Already dealing with sciatica, I knew this wouldn’t be good, and then I wasn’t much in a mood to go next door, but sat down in a chair by our door to chat with him. After I got back in bed, I began laughing at the absurdity of the whole situation.

At the art class, we sat with a lady who was wearing two boots, one on each foot, and I could just envision my daughter getting one of those and wondered if we’d unconsciously set ourselves up for this! Uh, oh!

Our son-in-law took my daughter to an Urgent Care center this morning. I kept tabs on the twins. She has a divot in the bone. Not sure how long she has to wear the boot! She’s having trouble on the stairs, but think she will be able to drive in a day or two.

Sound and frequency: Cymatics

I think I’m going to start playing some music beside my knee! I’ve got four tubes of various remedies to put on it, and I’ve already used the magnesium (I used to sell), this morning. It’s about 50% or 60% better now than it was last night. Plus, I’ve figured out how to walk and sort of use one side of that foot so I don’t put pressure on the whole knee. Thanks to what I learned years ago from Feldenkrais sessions I had! I offered the lotions and ointments to my daughter too, but she’s going to leave the long boot on for a while.
