The Pharma compainies are a menace to me. They have such a huge profit margin that it’s crazy…and yes the side effects that could fill a book.
I’m a capitalist…so I get making a profit but peoples lives at risk like cancer medicine and they make it a crazy profit off of it and refuse to let generic medicine that does the same thing on the market until years later. Sorry…I’ll get off of my soapbox now.

Brilliant and right on the money, Max! I am standing beside you on that soapbox (ever since a friend sent me a speech her then boyfriend was going to say to VPs of a pharma brand 20 years ago)! His speech was over my head then but ALL it talked about were the profits. NOTHING to do with healing people. It turned my stomach. She ended their relationship too—thankfully.

Well I shouldn’t have made a speech on your blog lol…but yea I’m with you. Making a profit doesn’t bother me…but price gouging does…on anything… but this…are peoples lives.

I agree but I am always challenged to draw a line. I often say I challenge exorbitant prices or outlandish profits (and outrageous CEO salaries and bonuses), but then someone will ask me what number constitutes exorbitant, outlandish, and outrageous. Ugh.
