Not everybody thinks the way you do!

A while back I had a conversation with a friend who told me, “Sheila, not everybody thinks the way you do” and I was sort of put off by her saying this. However, a few days later I felt she was paying me a compliment when she offered me that insight. If you would rather listen instead of read, play the audio:

As well, my daughter told me her ex-husband didn’t think the way I did (when I’d told her I thought he was keeping my granddaughter away from me to “hurt me.”) He’s a narcissist. And yes, I realize I am labeling him, yet I strongly dislike labels. But he is a classic narcissist and I am not perfect, so there’s that. She felt it was much more likely he didn’t consider me or my feelings at all because all he thinks about is himself. Again, providing me insight that others do not think like me.

Thirdly, my husband has offered me similar insights during our twenty years together. He has told me often to, “quit trying to figure out what others are thinking”! Apparently, he hears me lament about what others may be thinking that motivates them to do or not do certain things. All actions are first motivated by thought, ergo, I often attempt to discern people’s motives.

I live in my head a lot. I think it makes me a good writer, analyst, and detective. As well, it helped me get ahead in my career and feed/house/clothe my children. But I have had to work on squelching the overthinking.

And now this! Tada! New book is LIVE on Amazon

WOO-HOO!!! My 4th book is out now, in the paperback version on Amazon!! Yippee-YAY!! This is the cover—yes the paperback cover is different from the ebook. I sort of did that as a test to see which one got more attention. We shall see!

Plus, my eldest granddaughter’s favorite color is yellow so there’s that. Ha! Of course, I love the spirals and fractals but so far that cover hasn’t helped get eyes on the Kindle ebook. Yet, fractals make me feel good! Aww, I know.

We’ve been having a little chatty chat about the different colors for the book’s cover, and how I used the Kindle Create app to create the covers, for the ebook I uploaded a background I’d made in my fractal app, but for the paperback I went with a template and modified it.

You tell me. Do I go with the yellow even though yellow is traditionally meant to mean “caution”? I liked the green color too, because green is for growing and living plants, etc. But it just didn’t jump out at me as much. My eldest granddaughter loves yellow and my soulie sister/friend, Nikki Payne of How I Found My Muchness, showed me chakra information on yellow that resonated with me too! Thank you, Nikki!

I can’t tell you what you ALL mean to me. This commUnity has really inspired me… breathing! And when I was slammed with work this past month and had to put the completion of this book on hold, you inspired me to get it done–especially, Nikki, because she sooo wanted the paperback version. Oh, yeah, Nikki… giggle giggle like you do!!! Wink! Giggle giggle!

The new book, Blue Eyes: Ethereal Messages of Connection has launched!

My new book, Blue Eyes, has passed the Amazon review process and is now LIVE (available in paperback as of 11 pm ET last night)! It was incredibly exciting to receive the email notice just before midnight last night and ring in the new year knowing the work was complete! Ha!

The book had to be put on hold for a couple of months because of my husband’s stroke and all the new caregiver tasks and responsibilities of mine (plus I still work full-time too). Thus, I took a week off work—to get the book done—between Christmas and New Years.

Many synchronicities abound and show us God’s grace! We are humbly blessed at every turn, that my husband can walk unassisted (he’s getting a bit better every day), is talking better (clearer, but still with less volume than normal), able to do a little work on the computer (like designing the cover for the book), and re-learning guitar (on a new Spanish acoustic that has a neck that fits in his hand better)!

I’m so excited to release this book out into the world! This past week has really been a birthing labor process to be sure! I knew it might take me a few days, but I had no idea! I used Kindle Create to prepare both the Kindle version of the book and the paperback, and each has their own set of distinct requirements! I see why many authors pay someone else to do this process! Ha!

Every time my husband and I would get frustrated over making yet another change to correct something, I would breathe and remind him to breathe, and I would say aloud, “I am a Technical Writer so I can do this or can figure this out.” Haha! I guess that helped as we’re still here and with hair on our heads too! Didn’t pull it out. (Wink!)

You’re always so busy busy busy

From my Facebook post today:

My commentary: A deep ACIM calendar quote for the day…  “This holy instant would I give to you…” and as a friend has commented, it is the same message each day until the end of the year, so I really don’t need to post the image again and again. But alas, here it is. 

I’m coming out of the funk I was in yesterday. I know people are busy. My dad used to tell me that every time he called. He would say, you’re “busy, busy, busy.” and you know what? because I was busy, I have many voicemail messages from him so I can always replay and hear his voice. Problem is, I don’t do that very often.

Why?

Because I am still, busy, busy, busy.

But I’m one person. I’d love for many to read this book I’ve poured hours, days, and weeks into. But of the 30 early readers, three actually read any of it. I’m grateful for those three. They know who they are. I would have opened it up to be read for free to many more had I known those thirty wouldn’t have had time. Some of my closest friends were honest from the get-go and told me they didn’t have time.

Now, I’m not saying all this to put guilt upon anyone, but to tell you, you can have hundreds of likes, loves, and comments on your posts and those will convert to ONE sale. It’s happened to me (with the last book). So, I do ALL of this writing, from my heart to those hearts who will listen. I do what I do, for the few. 

And FYI, though my dad’s words to me about how busy I always was will haunt me, he evened it up by also always telling me, “love you, love you, love you” at the end of each phone conversation or voicemail. So there’s that.

Omniscience God knows.

And so it is…

  • Ills are like rain on dirt. Rain washes away dirt so gems can be more easily mined!
  • Recognizing our individuality and uniqueness, yet all the while like sticky snowflakes, We Are All Connected.
  • A growing world is merging = EMERGING!
  • Acknowledging our inner alchemy.
  • Turning on Reiki Light.
  • Always turning to balance while Integrating the Spiral.
  • Choosing to make food and TIME work FOR us.
  • Thanking ALL for Grace, no matter how things look.
  • Prayer works!
  • OM-ing works! OM. AUM.
  • TRUST is huge!
  • Asking for help helps too!
  • Managing our Energy IS self-care.
  • Not burying head in the sand. (Pay attention to our health!)
  • Observing and documenting.
  • Involved but not entangled (with external happenings).
  • Amplifying and supporting ALL voices in commUNITY.
  • Accepting and surrendering what we cannot change but not quitting, burying heads in the sand, or laying down.
  • Freeing and beautifying. 
  • Raising vibrations.
  • Simplifying complex topics.
  • Aligning with SOUL to walk a purposeful path.
  • Each of us has God INSIDE us. Always in ALL ways reMember.
  • Every. Moment. Gratitude. 
  • Know who you are. Then, Blend. 
  • “Be Here Now” and Be Kind to ourselves/others.
  • Grow through the “not always pleasant” dirt. Yet, ALL for growth. (I see you.)
  • We Are All Connected.

By grace we ARE.

Why am I here?

I’m here to challenge you to dig deeper. Honor your past. Honor your ancestors. You are not here by accident. You didn’t pop out of a pod. A woman gave birth to you. And a woman gave birth to her. And so on, and so on. And a man was involved in some way too. The two became one. YOU!

ALL of your ancestors who came before, honor YOU! You stand on their great shoulders. Do you accept the responsibility of their sacrifices? Of their LOVE?

Balance is achievable though not always the point. Remember a wavy line separates the black from the white in the yin and yang symbol. It’s wavy because it’s always Balancing. Flowing. Never done.

Life endures. And continues.

We’re all pink!

Underneath our skin, we are all pink! Our blood is blue until exposed to oxygen and then, it’s red!

Finally! My book is done!

Since I met Patricia McGivern and had a one-on-one hypnotherapy session with her on my birthday in 2016, I have been keeping notes about observations in nature, dreams, visions, and surreal experiences (nighttime visitations) from my mom and dad since they have crossed over to the Other Side of The Veil, transitioned to the Grand Beyond, or had their “Celebration Day.”

My new book draws from these experiences. I named the book, Blues Eyes, a metaphysical novel because it’s centered around things my one day old sister, Christina has shown me.

I’ll write more and put out some videos soon about what the writing process has been like, but for now, I want to highlight some important lessons and concepts:

Note from March 18th, 2016

“And birth is only the beginning. It is overwhelming sometimes to ponder how courageous and brave it is of each soul to agree to this carnal ride.

Oh, how bumpy and bizarre this ride! How curious this journey of becoming human. How mysterious and magical to be in a living, changing, growing, wonderful body!

As an adult, we think we’re big enough, strong, and tough enough to survive, but we know the body and mind are fragile too.

Imagine when we are in the womb, how fragile, delicate, and vulnerable we are. Oh, how indescribable it must be!

So, let us all pray and meditate daily about how grateful we are to have been born–to be here!

We are able to live, move, and have our being, while not every soul who desires and strives to be here, makes it.

And lets be kind to our bodies, our children, and each other. For we are all blessed to be here, and IN Joy relish the time we have on this magnificent planet.

Note from March 18th, 2021

An Aha moment! While reading the preceding paragraphs, held within about 500 writing “Notes” in my iPhone, I realized (seeing with REAL EYES), that I’d written that 3 years to the day BEFORE the DATE dad had set with me to visit each other—due to me always being “busy, busy, busy” (dad’s words).

Overarching Takeaways

Sitting in this “complete and fulfilling state of GRATITUDE and GRACE” I Am humbled.

When anything disturbs me (including myself), when my expectations aren’t met, I will choose to let it go as best I can to Limitless Omniscience God, and forgive myself and others as we can never see the whole picture, or know the whole story—much less control anything.

Cherish nothing else except each moment of Presence.

Know that you yourself are essential to this world. Understand both the blessing and the burden of that. You yourself are desperately needed to save the soul of this world.

In a Sacred Hoop of Life, there is no beginning and no ending. To everything, turn, turn, turn. There is a reason.

Each of us is important and have a mission. Much love and multitudinous blessings to each of you in ALL ways. ❤️🦋🌀〰️

What a Feeling!

What a FEELING

I must say, today has been a ridiculously aWEsOMe day! I’ve just been published, a second time!

Celebrating the book

The book launched on Amazon.com with amazing success… by this evening, yes the end of the first full day – the book “The Energy of Receiving” reached #3 in the Self-Help category, AND #1 in the Self-Help, Spiritual category!!! I, along with my publisher, and the other 16 authors (18 total) who co-created this book are THRILLED!!!

Getting ready for the yoga festival

Also, my husband and I will be participating in the Awakening Into the Sun weekend festival in St. Petersburg March 7th and 8th 2015, and we’ll have a booth where I’ll be selling, and signing copies of the book. I will have 20 paperback copies for sale so, if you want a signed copy, come on out!

Glorious feelings!

As an empath, it will be interesting to see how much I feel during the event, and how many times I experience “God bumps”. I continue to note, when and where I feel God bumps, and it seems that it’s whenever I am talking about God, or spiritual (deep thought) topics, become familiar with someone’s pain (mental, emotional, or physical), or open a gateway (to unlimited possibility).

Update

The festival was an aWEsOMe success! We enjoyed meeting many new people, reconnecting with friends, watching and listening to new musicians, and sharing with other like-minded, like-spirited folk! I will be blogging about many of our friends in the upcoming weeks and months, so stay tuned! 🙂

On the eve of our 10th wedding anniversary, my husband and I really have a lot to be thankful for, and celebrate.
