‘Thrive in 25’ – Book Review: “He Was Weird”
I am grateful for fellow authors and blogger pals, like Michael D. LeFevre, author of He Was Weird.
Once you read, He Was Weird, the story will stick with you. Within the pages of this book is a multifaceted story that holds deep meaning for parents, teenagers, teachers, and those in authority. The story of will grip you. It won’t let you go until you reach the final conclusion, which isn’t simply what the boy does, or why, but how his actions change (both directly and indirectly) all of those around him.
While reading the first few chapters, it occurred to me that I wasn’t the target audience for this book because “I’m not a sports person,” nor do I have teenage children. I’m not a school teacher, or authoritarian figure who might influence a teen either. I wondered if I could make it through the book! But we do have a 13-year old granddaughter who is on the Autism spectrum. We think she’s outgrown most of it, but we do still find that she needs help, like more time to complete her school assignments. My daughter works with said granddaughter’s teachers and school administrators to give her that extra allotment of time, thankfully. But other kids have bullied our granddaughter and I’ve offered her the same advice my mother gave me when I was little. I was bullied from the time I was in kindergarten. Ah! So, there’s the touch point.
The more I read of the bullying our main character endured, the more hooked I became in this book. Though the story is about a boy, I could still relate a bit. Especially the name calling. Even as a girl, I got physically hit, had hair pulled, and had toys broken when I was little, so there’s that. But overall, I think the bullying made me think less of myself–it dropped my sense of ‘self esteem’. And in this case, for a young boy on the Autism spectrum who suffered deficits in attention, motor control, and perception (DAMP), it was so much worse. I connected with him, while thinking of my granddaughter and how she absorbs words and actions deeply, and as some would say, “takes EVERYTHING to heart.”
I won’t give you spoilers because there’s so much action within the pages of He Was Weird. Besides the main characters, there are many others you will get to know. There are characters you’ll love and several you’ll want to hate. There will be characters you’ll side with and those you’ll want to kick out of the job or office they’re in. I sympathized with several and couldn’t imagine living in their shoes. And there were many I would never want to know, much less live near. But I don’t want to spoil it for you. I will say, be prepared to sit with this book and learn lessons from it. There’s plenty of blame to go around by the end. This book is engaging and potentially life-saving. You’ll see.

This is the three-hundred-fiftieth new music post for 2024! This is part love song and part ‘missing you’ song. When Richard wrote this, I can imagine he was longing for someone true in his life. I’m glad he eventually found me!
I often read articles I disagree with
I challenge myself as part of my daily process (and practice what I preach and teach in Integrating the Spirals), by reading blog articles, or other media on topics or perspectives that differ from mine. Case in point, at first glance I disagreed with the following article, but after reading it, I sat with this blogger’s perspective and appreciated their insights and information. There are myriad points within the article that make sense to me (I’ve never agreed with having Christmas trees on church altars, and I do believe a LOT of people fall for the over-commercialism of the holiday). However, the overall philosophy presented here differs from mine–because I view our Creator (or the Dao) as Limitless Omniscience. But folks, reading material like THIS, is how we broaden our perspectives and expand our consciousness! We must coexist!
I challenge my beliefs every single day. Not because I aim to be perfect but because I always (in ALL ways) want to make virtuous progress while enjoying the journey and Connecting. I’m human. I’m real. I strive for transparency and forthrightness, but I am fallible. Nobody’s ‘Perfect.’ I’m probably not ‘rightly dividing the word of God’ when I read the scriptures, but then again, which version of the Bible are you (and this blog article’s author) reading? (Hint: I don’t just read one version.)
Boundaries? Okay. But be flexible too!
Last night, my daughter came over and though I had our door locked (which is always my cue that we’re in bed), my slippers were at the foot of our stairs (my cue to my husband that I’m upstairs in the sauna and not to be disturbed), I had not fully communicated these two cues to my daughter–and it was sort of an emergency. She needed me, her mom, to listen and give her some emotional support. So, she knocked on the door. Richard was in the kitchen but heard her and went to the door to let her in. She asked where I was and he told her, “Upstairs.” So, up she came but stopped at the closed door upstairs and asked me, “Are you in or out of the sauna?” I was just getting in and had just set my phone up to play some new songs I had wanted to listen to by blogger/songwriter cookie nieves.
I got into the sauna and then welcomed my daughter to come into the room. She visited for my entire sauna session. When I was done, I invited her to meet me downstairs (so I could get dressed). She stayed another couple of hours and we ended with big hugs. My ‘Mom job’ was done. Though I didn’t get to relax to cookie’s songs as I’d planned. I know there’s no rush, but I had literally just sent a comment to cookie that I was going to listen. Best laid plans, right?
My daughter and I had a wonderful visit though, and I did a little EFT for her too (she’s still not interested in learning/using it for herself though). And that’s okay. We each learn at differing rates of speed and along the path of the spiral, it’s ALL good.

I filled out a form, added a couple of personal sentiments/sentences in Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.’s behalf and believing he will be appointed to HHS Secretary.

December 5th – Are you fixed
It’s December 5th, 2024; We’ve got a fun original song for y’all today. Are you fixed features Bubba Hudson on vocals, asking the title question. I suppose anyone dating these days might find this an appropriate song. I know I remember being a bit shocked when I first heard it, wondering why Richard would pen such a song. Ha! It did go over quite well with the crowd when Richard’s band, The Righteous Buds, used to play it out Live.

I don’t know. Sometimes I think I should give up trying to make sense of the memes I see. Oh, wait, it’s because there’s so much chaos, and so many sides to every story. Let me see. Perhaps we all need to be fixed. Then again, check out the stats in this meme regarding the drop in sperm count. Maybe all the women who are upset about seeming losing the federal right to an abortion are focused on the wrong aspect of the situation. One day, they may want a baby, and will be unable to conceive.

Painting class
My daughter, Marie, and I went to a paint class the other night, and this was the stencil used for the project. Everyone got the same stencil, but each project was still unique based on how we used it. This was the first time I have painted on wood, and our instructor, the shop’s owner, had to show me how to follow the line of the stencil so the paint wouldn’t run underneath the stencil. She had walked by and noticed my brush strokes. But I was artfully painting. because I wanted to create a woodsy effect with the brush–and I don’t think she realized that. It turned out okay, but when the light hit the letter B, I think of that brush stroke ‘lesson’/correction. Afterwards, I did the first brush stroke following the stencil as she’d shown me, but then I went back over it with a bit more paint to achieve the desired effect on the tree and antlers. I just didn’t think to go back over the letter B. Oh well! There’s no Perfection in art! Ha!
What does the word ‘Believe’ mean to you?
There are sooo many ways to interpret the word, ‘Believe’ don’t you think? At its most basic, I see the Christmas sign with the word ‘Believe’ and think of ‘Believe in the magic of Christmas,” or “Believe in the Spirit of Christmas.” But taken further, beliefs are so individual to each of us. This is the three-hundred-thirty-fifth new music post for 2024! I love two-steppin’ to this rockin’ country song–and I’d love to do it more! I’m hoping to get a local band to play this song, but I guess just my wishin’ won’t make it happen. I’ve got to go knock on some doors!
I collect prayers. I read them, along with a few pages from a variety of Sacred texts whenever I feel I’ve moved too far down the emotional spiral. Here’s the prayer that touched my heart yesterday–the squirrel got my attention and drew me in (my mom loved squirrels). I can’t show pictures of everything I ordered yet, because one was a Christmas present for my daughter. But here’s a sampling of the Christmas cards I ordered and the special gift Linda included in my order. I love how every card is unique and that Linda handwrites each card! What a gift of her spirit and time! I also love how she packaged the cards with a bow (that I didn’t have to destroy to remove)!
I am also so thankful for the GIFT of the bookmark that Linda included with my order! I promptly placed it right into the current book I’m reading (nod to another blogger pal, 80smetalman: He Was Weird). I love that with each project that is painted, the multifaceted nature of life means that no two creations are ever exactly the same!

A few days ago I had an experience of healing via meditating on (breathing in) Omniscience, and then (breathing out) Doom, Gloom, Fear/Pain. It worked. It works. We Are All Connected. Air and breath proves it. We rise (like bread) through heat and air. Blessings in ALL ways. Here’s the audio. You might need to turn up the volume or wear headphones as this was recorded in a whisper:
Every breath we take is from God, but every breath we take is not acknowledged.
Breathe in breath from the Holy Spirit, omniscience, God.
Exhale, fear, doom, gloom, doubt, illness in the body.
Oh, the multiple and myriad ideas (that’s the fractal nature of things), that can come from one idea.
Now, I know why I didn’t share Debra’s post and my meditation until today. Very early this morning I awoke with a feeling that one of my aunts (on the Other Side) was near. I fell back asleep. And I dreamt I was with her, having a little chatty chat. She was so happy and lovely. I don’t remember what she told me, unfortunately, but I was able to tell her a couple of things that were very important to me! The last thing I told her that while we’re never in the same place/state of knowledge at the same time, we all learn at differing rates of speed. And she gave me a nod and one of her biggest smiles! It made me feel so warm and comforted! I just had to write her eldest son, John, and share that with him too! He has two sisters and I’m hoping he’ll share this with them over Thanksgiving. If not, I will. HUGS!

This is the three-hundred-twenty-fourth new music post for 2024! This is the time of year when so many “cry-in-their-beer” and that’s what this song is about.
I am grateful to still have my best friend in this world, who helped me survive in the adult world after my first husband left me (many years ago). She’s with the love-of-her-life, celebrating their anniversary at an undisclosed location. They’ve already been to Bali, so I have no idea where they are, but I always think of her when I listen to ‘A bar with no mirrors’ because the first time she took me out to a bar to try and have some fun, I just sat there and cried! Aww! And then some greasy jerk told me to “dry up those tears, you’re depressing everyone!” I’ll never forget it as I could have punched him!

Meanwhile, they’re still trying to get to the bottom of what happened when President Trump was shot at during that outdoor rally in Pennsylvania a few months ago. And I must say THIS is why we follow Dan Bongino and watch his show on Rumble. He knows when to listen and when to speak! He’s not some 20-second news clip of a soundbite either that the mainstream media are blaming for how people get their information and why their ratings are dying. No one TRUSTS the mainstream media anymore! Duh!

Truths were withheld
I think after all of the studies come out that were shushed previously, even more health care workers will be brave and courageous and the tide will turn on these Pharma companies and faulty shots.
Transcend Fear. Let go of Ego.
As I wrote yesterday, I let go of my Ego decades ago. I don’t understand the doctors, nurses, and other health professionals that don’t see Fauci’s lies! But of course, right? Because I am not looking at him through their eyes or their side of the mirrorball. This is why I continually work through my Integrating the Spirals DE-Program, so I don’t upset myself when I see liars try to pull the wool over people’s eyes. I know the Truth is multifaceted. I know that lies are a subversion (reversed mirror image) of the Truth.

November 20th – Midnight Sun
It’s November 20th, 2024; We’ve got a brand new original song for ALL. Through the escalations of tensions abroad, Richard has been writing new lyrics, and the following is a result. Richard wrote these lyrics and sent them to Bubba Hudson. Bubba did the vocals and remixed the result. I know we’re now on the brink of World War III. Just when I thought I could stop my political posts too. UGH. But yes, I will do something fun in a few days, and have my sauna tonight to rest, meditate, and ground. Take care of yourselves and your loved ones. That song, If we make it to December (or in this case, January), feels appropriate.
As I’ve written previously, we follow Scott Ritter and Colonel Douglas MacGregor (some have their own YouTube channels and some only interview with others, such as with Judge Napolitano. I read a LOT of news from my unbiased sources, as well as holistic health and wellness folks, many of whom I have followed since 2005 or 2008. Both pivotal years in the reclaiming of my health and the evidence of my doing so as seen and felt in my body. I continue to recommend a good many of these professionals and experts.

I let go of my Ego decades ago. I just don’t understand doctors, nurses, and other health professionals who continue to stick up for Dr. Fauci and all the lies that were told to us all through COVID. I don’t stick up for Bill Gates, though I had a 35+ IT career in large part due to him and his good salesmanship (he didn’t invent/code DOS which became MS-DOS- the operating system/backbone of Microsoft).
