It’s October 9th, 2024; We have an original rock for those with short attention spans (because ADD isn’t even a diagnosis anymore–those that used to be diagnosed as ADD now have ADHD. So, we’re not so politically incorrect anymore! Ha! Go figure. This is one of our favorites that Richard and I have performed Live. Here we were performing it when we lived off grid and my son had shaved my head.) It’s one of our favorite songs! Bubba Hudson did the vocals on the pro demo and Steven Cooper of Nashville, TN produced it. Let me know if you like Richard and I performing it Live better though.

Here’s the two-hundred-eighty-first new music post for 2024, as I consistently share hot new music with you that you’ve never heard before. Move your body, and consider the lyrics. Everything is a suggestion. That’s my mantra and my spiel. LOL

Stay prepped

Friends in Florida are still prepping. We’ve stayed prepped since 2019 or before. Not necessarily for storms or pandemics, but for financial meltdowns. We learned during Obama’s first term how fickle the banking industry is and how quickly we can lose a home, job, etc. I wish I had put as much effort then into building an at-home business, as I did trying to get another job in 2008. Then also, when Richard was forced to retire in 2010 after Obama ended the manned space program. You just never really know when you might face a catastrophe. This is a common these I keep hearing when we watch REAL PEOPLE on YouTube talk about the devastation in North Carolina after hurricane Helene hit them. “We never thought it could happen here!” Well folks, disaster can strike anyone, anywhere. Stay prepped!

We have Richard’s original art for sale (here’s the beach artwork), we have our original songs for sale (on Spotify and other online music stores under the band name: Chevy Ford Band), and I have been selling Super Patches for the last two months. We bring in a few dollars a month from these sources and it gives us something to do, promoting such things. But these are supposed to be our golden years! I’m just sooo glad we moved from Florida this past May, as I could not have dealt with two hurricanes in 2 weeks of each other! We did all that in 2004 when we had three hurricanes back-to-back (Charley, Francis, and Jean)! I’m so done with Florida!

Everything happens for a reason

Yes, Everything Happens for a Reason and Everything Resolves to Gratitude. Knowing that each of us (as fractals) uplifts my mind and allows me to view life as a lively kaleidoscope grand design that moves about in an ever-expanding, revolving, melodious, consciousness. Even if we have to disconnect from some people, for a time.

Enjoy (IN Joy) everything and love! Be Everything All the Time. Let’s soar in ’24!

Yours in expanding, gathering information, balancing, spiraling consciousness,

    1. I never knew about DAMP but am reading about it now in your book. My eldest granddaughter has ADHD now. She was diagnosed with autism at around age 1 and a half. She got three therapists and made great progress though because my daughter stayed on top of it and got her all the help she could.

      1. Great news about your granddaughter, ever since my grandson, who is further along the Autistic Spectrum, went to a special school, he has come on leaps and bounds. Kudos to your daughter for staying on top of it. BTW, how far are you along in the book?

  1. I can’t access the Vimeo Sheila. But the song on the video here has that guitar riff which is great. The impact of current worldwide dilemmas is really worrying. I like Ali Zack and her centralising philosophy. I can’t watch news or read anything anymore though. Too many impactful worrying themes presently. Even weather manipulation realities and theories too. So avoid and stay at arms’ length now. Maybe ignorant and selfish, but essential for personal well being. Great write up as always Sheila. All the best.

    1. I totally understand, Gray. We have to watch funny videos after every few hurricane or war update videos. It helps us stay centered, balanced, grounded, etc. We cut the cable years ago and only watch news from real people, no mainstream media. Well, except a few mainstream news clips that now show up on YouTube.
I don’t know what’s wrong with Vimeo. I hope it’s not because of where you are or if you have to subscribe or something. But I will check it out.
As a test, if you go to my homepage of SheilaMurrey.net do you see the video of Richard and I there on the right hand side? That’s Vimeo too. Just curious if it plays for you. (Once there, you should see the ADD below that, while on our Vimeo page). I put those on Vimeo during COVID because silly YouTube was removing people ad nauseum for this or that reasons and my trust level in them went down, down, down.
I like Ali Zack too (she’s new to me).
We appreciate your like of the guitar riff, Gray. Thank you!!

      1. Too much negative pressure from the news of nowadays. Angie gets frazzled and reacts badly to the imagery of so many current problematics. I ask her not to watch the material because it affects her so much.

I did see your video. I’ve watched it a couple of times now over the months. Hit the ‘V’ at the bottom and it does exactly the same as on this blog link. States ‘video is not rated’. I don’t join platforms at all now, too much on the algorithm front. Pinterest has no social interaction and has amazing ideas for house and garden. So joined that on retirement. Only FB, WP and X ( rarely visited). Nothing else. Well, Bandcamp but only for my faves like cookie and Old Shep. And I use YouTube for watching advice or music videos. Oh! Bandcamp…….also Stan, who has visited my site recently, is now followed too.

      2. Ah, yes, I have been sharing daily (these music blog posts this year) on Pinterest. I never thought about it, but you’re right there’s no social interactions on there. Only sharing of content. Gotcha.
I understand about Angie’s ‘frazzled’ feelings because Richard is much more sensitive too (since he had that stroke).

I also post on Facebook, X, and others but don’t interact much because people are ridiculous and rude (not my friends, but the random butthole). You know what I mean. I even had a troll the other day on Truth Social! Ugh!! I got so mad! I shut the laptop and was done for the DAY! Ha! But Ugh!
So, yes, I hear you about Vimeo. Thank you for telling me that. Maybe I should share a direct link. Maybe it’s trying to share a mobile link. That has happened to me a few times before when I shared links from my phone. I don’t know. Ugh

I don’t like Bandcamp, but now I might try it again because you have me curious about cookie, Old Shep, and Stan! Cheers, Gray!

      3. I love cookies smoky atmospheric voice, songs of intuitive daily life observation and poetic lyrical writing style. Shep is a fantastic harp player with a great knowledge of music. Session plays too. And Stan is a great musician who has only just started exchanging comments with me. A very decent person who encourages. I love the positivity from all three.

      4. Brilliant. Works a treat. Great chemistry between the two of you. A vibe as natural as it gets. Your haircut is the same as mine currently. Well mine has grown a little more now over the past 4/5 weeks. My crown has disappeared alarmingly. So now a necessity. Suits you. Richard is a natural in comic and musical timing isn’t he. So grateful for your persistence in getting to realise success in uploading this. Well worth the efforts. Much appreciated. Do more! Be great to see different songs and presentations. All the best Sheila and Richard.

      5. Great! Glad that link worked, Gray! Well, my hair is halfway down my back. It was really cute short though before the curls came back but no way am I cutting it again until next spring. Ha!
Thank you! I think we have great chemistry and comic timing too, and is why we considered doing a podcast. But not sure we have the energy for it anymore. Glad we did those videos though!
