Challenges 3-7-2025
May 6th – Already committed (for sure)!
It’s May 6th, 2024; Here’s an original pop song about someone who’s already committed and can’t take on anymore. That was me (many times) on our 4-day long drive to move from Florida to New England this week. Richard would say, “This doesn’t feel right,” about me turning onto an exit or such and I’d reply, “I’m already committed.” Ha! I love Bubba Hudson’s vocals in this unique song. I also love the melody of this tune. A smooth groovin’ production mix (including keyboards) by Steven Cooper, Nashville, TN.
Songwriting
Here’s the one-hundred-twenty-seventh new music post for 2024, as I consistently harp about how unique we are as songwriters–especially hubby and loving partner Richard Murrey. I know Taylor Swift started writing songs as a teen, and so did Adele–but from what life experience did they have to draw? I’d say Richard is just as prolific or more and he didn’t start songwriting until he was in his 30s.
I wrote some songs (plays and poetry too) when I was a teenager, even creating the treble clef and plotting notes on paper to go along with the lyrics. I didn’t play an instrument though (so how did I do that)? I remember a bit of that. I had a great high school music teacher. Sadly, I’ve forgotten most of that. I used to know how to create all the various notes, whole notes, half notes, quarter notes, and so on. I’d been reading sheet music in church for years, in order to sing (both in the choir and in the audience, standing alongside my mom, aunt, and grandmother).
Committed but continuing to receive input
We arrived in New England from Florida! Though I have screenshots on my phone from various points in our journey, I don’t know how we got here. UGH
I received input from Richard, the GPS on my iPhone, my daughter (via texts when we’d stop), roadsigns (or lack thereof), and several times, I’d tell Richard I can’t process all of this information. I’d choose a lane, or an exit, and commit to it. At least until I could find a place to turn that big moving truck around. Driving one of those is not for the faint of heart. And I’m old (my standard catchphrase when shit happens).
Receiving input
I don’t know how I did it. I drove the whole way (took us 4 days though) from Florida to New England. We thought Richard might drive on some of the straightaways but his depth perception was so off that he was afraid to chance it. Thus, I committed and that was that.
Richard held my phone (I couldn’t find the phone holder), and he helped me navigate, but would often put his head down because it bothered him to look at the road for any length of time–and that was another reason we sold our car a year ago. After the stroke he experienced Oct. 2022, Richard got dizzy while sitting in the front passenger seat of our car and I figured that riding together in the back seat of an Uber or Lyft would resolve that issue–and it did. But there’s no back seat in a moving truck. He committed to the ride, we just didn’t know how he’d do, physically. And his blood pressure did go up after the 2nd day on the road. I probably didn’t help matters much because it seemed like at least once each day, typically in the morning too (what’s up with that?) something would happen that would trigger me.

I have a long way to go if I’m measuring my personal growth and development by this meme. I’ll talk more about that in tomorrow’s post. But I’m going to try and not overthink the move. We’re here and I’m so extremely thankful to all the powers that be.
Enjoy (IN Joy) everything and love! Be Everything All the Time.
May we all soar in ’24! Here’s to being thankful, and living FREE!

Less than one year here and we are moving again. We are leaving Ocala, Florida
Yes sadly, we are moving again—in less than a year of living in Ocala, Florida. And this is a big move! We are leaving Florida. The state Richard and I have lived for 40 years. But we’re very excited to be going to New England and get to live next door to our family!! If you would rather listen instead of read, play the audio:
Why are we moving again so soon–what’s gone wrong?
Let me know if this list is too harsh for me to post (after we move) as a review of the apartment complex. They’ve been asking for tenants to leave reviews for the complex on Google but I’ve hesitated to leave a bad review, since A) I don’t want to be THAT person, and B) I didn’t want to cast any more negativity on the community as they’ve already brought upon themselves. Thank you in advance!
- Neighbors – Our upstairs neighbors are quite heavy-footed as they walk around in the upstairs apartment. I waited three months after we moved in to complain as I thought it may take them time to adjust to apartment living. Sadly, things never got any better. This has been an untenable situation. Yet apparently, due to the Federal Fair Housing Act, the apartment community cannot assign people to particular apartments based on age, working hours, or whatnot. These younger tenants work nights (or something) because they come in between 11 pm-1 am every night and then leave around 4-5 am in the mornings! They slam the door. They stomp up and down the stairs. They drop things on their floor, which sounds like a bowling ball hit our ceiling. I have literally jumped when this has happened! They have had yelling matches. They had their loud Dodge Charger car backed into the parking space in front of our bedroom window and left it running while going back upstairs to get things before leaving!
- Apartment Community – We enjoyed paying our rent and sending communication to the office via an online portal, but shortly after we moved in the community closed the pool area for nearly six months (to rip up every bit of poured concrete around the pool and resurface it) with no reduction in rent. The pool has now reopened (we’ve yet to use it) and it IS beautiful, but we didn’t think anything looked wrong with it before.
- Apartment Community Signage – Every time someone (either our Kroger grocery delivery or Uber/Lyft driver) tries to find us, there’s no signage anywhere within the apartment community to direct drivers to where each building is, much less where each apartment number is within a building. I had to update this post to add this to our list of negatives about living here because we just had another Kroger delivery driver lament about how he’d driven round and round and some of the building numbers are on the backside of the buildings! Granted some of the drivers are working their first delivery job, but even our very experienced Lyft driver turned the wrong way and came back by our apartment after dropping us off a week ago as there are no exit signs in this place! There are a couple of signs that point one to the leasing office, but that’s it. I imagine the office would say that each delivery driver could stop in the office to ask where the apartment is that they’re delivery to but we all know most won’t take the time to do that (until they become exasperated trying to find us). And yes, I have (each time) added details to our orders to state how the driver can find us, but often they enter from the opposite entry than the one my directions are from and there’s limited characters for me to instruct them from both directions. A few signs would certainly ease a lot of people’s frustrations, as some of the large building numbers are on the backside of the buildings. Something I didn’t realize until one of the Kroger drivers first told me and then I had to look at each building after that to confirm to myself.
- Apartment Community Mail/Business Center – The office staff has changed and not for the better. The office put in a new locker room for package pick-up, so we rarely even go into the office anymore to enjoy the way they remodeled it (having completed that project just before we moved in). On one occasion, we had needed to use the business center (which was an amenity I had very much wanted that we didn’t have in Bradenton) and it was such a joke because the new printer wasn’t yet connected to either of the two computers. Purposely, I’d waited to try and print there for a month after the remodel so I wouldn’t run into these kinds of issues. The office manager had me use her computer as a workaround to print my mailing labels and lists. Also, the mail carrier won’t pick up any packages for mailing out. We had to catch him (to give him a small package) as he was delivering mail to the Italian restaurant where we happened to be dining! I have no idea why, but the apartment community office does not want people to leave packages there for the mail carrier to pick up.
- Parking – We don’t have a car (so I have no idea why they put us in an apartment on the parking side of our building when we could have been in the back), at least this does help delivery drivers find us once they find our building. But about a month ago a tow truck dropped a car in front of our living room window and didn’t even park it correctly, which was a nuisance to see. When we complained about it not belonging to anyone here, as it has no community parking decal, the apartment office manager quipped it must belong to someone because they fixed the tire! She (Ms. Personality) thoroughly missed the point and could have cared less! As I finished recording this, the upstairs neighbor called a locksmith, got into the car, disconnected the battery when the car alarm went off, and has now, driven away in the car! Whether he figured out how to buy it from a finance company or whether he stole it, we don’t know and don’t care! Ha!
- Overall Community Appearance – We were in the community office one day and overheard a lovely little old lady complaining (to a younger office staff lady who seemed to have cared less) about some of the things we’d witnessed too. We had not complained (about those items) because we didn’t feel the office would do anything about it. We’ve seen trash lying all around the community as we walk to the mail center, grocery store, and restaurants. We have seen overflowing dumpsters. We have seen huge piles of dog poo where people haven’t picked that up (and we could tell it was all from the same dog as it was near one apartment near the sidewalk and all three piles close together). Yuck! People still speed though the community newsletter begs people monthly to adhere to the 10mph speed limit—the community should put in speed bumps! We needed that a whole lot more than a package delivery system and pool area! I hate to complain because I know we can’t control other people, much less change their behavior. We simply model good behavior, respectful and polite, and try to inspire others (though there is some sense of control involved even in that, I realize).
Mind-Body
I am not of a mind to ‘give up’ but as I just said, there’s only so much we can do. And I must draw a line on how much Energy I expend to try to continue living here. As it’s turned out, living here has not helped my mental health much, because the people we moved here to meet up with have not been able (yet) to make time for us. I am still hopeful that we’ll meet a couple of them during April! And I’m fine with continuing to peel layers of the onion and feel better even if we don’t get to meet up. I know wherever we go we take ourselves with us! Ha! And I know everyone is fighting some kind of battle we know nothing about. Tada!
I’m incorporating lessons learned (from our move here)
- I have secured a Budget rental truck for a week (no more U-Haul!)
- I put our furniture on NextDoor for sale and posted an ad for local loading help
- I sent our Notice to Vacate to our apartment community as soon as I knew what date we could move into the apartment next to my daughter
- I’ve made a checklist of all we need to do before we move, which seems much shorter than the list I had when we left Bradenton last August.

All in all, we’re feeling a bit better and able to load the Budget rental truck and hopefully, the loading help will show up; here’s a link to my NextDoor event and I’m already getting some offers of help! Yippee! I’m certainly hoping for that. If not, we’ll take our time and load it over two days as needed. We’re going to give ourselves a lot more love and self-care this time!
I also just noticed that our apartment number equals 8. And 8 is the number for infinity but also of COMPLETION! Woo-hoo! Perhaps our run of ill karma regarding places we’ve lived has been completed. I’m certainly considering it so!
Enjoy (IN Joy) and have fun! Be Everything All the Time.
May we all soar in ’24! Here’s to loving ourselves more, expanding our consciousness, living without regrets, and living FREE!

Integrating the Spirals to ease suffering

My online Zoom video course, Integrating the Spirals is helpful now more than ever because I know people are suffering. (Let me know if you’re interested in the Integrating the Spirals course.)
As an empath I want to help ease suffering and raise hope. I want to uplift others and raise our collective vibrations and consciousness. I teach breath work and meditation so we appreciate the value of Detachment. We till our inner soil with our breath and that offers us peace and calm. Meditation is an easy way to Connect us with spirit, higher selves, Omniscience God, and receive personal guidance.
Be the best version of who you want to be–because if you’re reading my words your soul is probably beckoning you to align with it and live up to your highest ideals. Not perfect because who is perfect? Most stagnate or ‘get stuck’ while on their way to being whatever they think perfection is. Making progress is enough. Carrying your Karma lightly is enough. Be kind to yourself while living responsibly. Who you ARE affects us ALL. We Are All Connected.
Omniscience knows ALL. Omniscience is always with you. You are never alone.

March 26th – I’m your handyman
It’s March 26th, 2024; Here’s an original jazzy rock song about a handyman! Right from the start, the guitar rocks! And then, the saxophone kicks in as the melody takes off. With lyrics that include smart innuendoes like, “I’m coming baby, I’m almost there… I’ll give you my service all I can spare…” you get the idea this handyman knows what to do. Haha!
Work all night
Here’s the eighty-fifth new music post for 2024, as I consistently plug one of our original music tunes into your day–all for your enjoyment. This is one of my favorite original songs that gets me dancing early in the morning. Ironically, the lyrics sing about “working all night,” and our upstairs neighbors were banging around from 1 am to 2 am last night. UGH! I had just been about to fall asleep when all that started! Go figure!
I love it when I pull up a song for the day that is so tied to what is happening in our life, or fits well into a holiday, etc. Allowing the Universe to surprise me is one of the things that entertains me about writing these blog posts every day. And I must tell you, my stats are improving! This is an indicator to me of how much fun I’m having putting these articles together.
Are you handy?
I got the rental truck last night and am back on Angi.com to find loading help. I’m also going to ask on NextDoor. No way we are loading stuff ourselves again. And I’ve listed our TV credenza for sale on Next Door. I know a handy person would also love this wooden bookcase I have (I haven’t listed it yet because I plan on just setting it outside with a FREE sign on it for any of our neighbors who have children–to see if they want it for school books or such). Or I’ll give it to whoever buys the credenza.
Places to see
While I was on the NextDoor site, I noticed a question about someone wanting to take their children to do something fun and read through the comments before offering my suggestion–Weeki Wachi to see the mermaids show. I saw a couple of ‘things to do’ mentioned (like visiting the Butterfly Rainforest in Gainesville, FL) that I never knew about and would love to see before we move. They also posted about the Clydesdale Tours. I would have enjoyed seeing those horses.
What has stopped us? The Uber we use is a bit pricey, so we limited our outings. Now, I’m thinking of renting a car for a day and just going around and seeing a few things before we move. I simply don’t feel like we’ve seen much of Ocala while we’ve lived here, and that’s probably my only regret. There’s no way I could have known we would end up with loud neighbors–just the luck of the draw, I guess. And I know the apartment community can’t place people by age or work situation (like all the night workers living in the same building) because that goes against the Federal Fair Housing Act (or so we’re told). The apartments could have been built better though (in terms of layout and insulation). We should not have been able to hear so much structural noise from the upstairs (and the stairwell to their unit runs in between our living room and bedroom).

Enjoy (IN Joy) and have fun! Be Everything All the Time.
May we all soar in ’24! Here’s to loving ourselves–handy or not, expanding our consciousness, living without regrets, and living FREE!

March 25th – Leaving someone, thing, or place you love
It’s March 25th, 2024; Here’s an original country song about leaving someone, something, or a place you love. The song gives us a feeling of return. When you love someone, something, or a place most of us at least have a dream of returning even if we doubt we ever will. That seems to be built into our human nature.
Leaving a love
Here’s the eighty-fourth new music post for 2024, as I plug along at a consistent pace to share our original music for you to hear and enjoy. This is a smooth country tune that invites you to hum or sing along. Almost everyone has left someone, something, or some place they loved. Leaving a love isn’t easy.
Richard left Kentucky over forty years ago. I don’t know how difficult it was for him then because A) we didn’t know each other, and B) he had a great desire to live in Florida. I think when we have more of a reason (or energetic pull) to move somewhere new, it makes it easier for us to leave our current home place. What do you think?
Music helps to soothe the savage beast as the old saying goes. And that’s our hope with this song. I also think this is a point of convergence in this blog and why our original songs marry nicely in the whole kaleidoscope of my Integrating the Spirals spiritual message, philosophy, and mission.
People, things, or places
Is it easier to leave people, things, or places we love? We’re preparing to leave a place (the state of Florida) that we’ve loved for decades. We have to focus on the wealth of good things ahead for us in New England to dissuade us from fretting over leaving the state Richard and I have both loved for so long. I think it may be easier to leave things (because a lot can be gotten again if it’s really needed, unless it’s a priceless memento or such), than it is to leave people (though we can, via technology, see and hear them whenever we want. So, perhaps leaving a place is the most difficult, but let me know in the comments.
In speaking about our upcoming move north, one of my dear Facebook friends offered, “Florida will always be here.” Suggesting we can always come back, or at least visit, etc. And I am sitting here in Florida thinking that once we leave, we’ll never come back. So, taking my friend’s thought to heart, it can help me leave and feel better about it.
I think ‘Letting Go’ in general is difficult for people who are hell-bent on ‘Hanging on’ to anything. So, perhaps ‘Letting Go’ is a skill we can work on? I think there’s value in learning how to gracefully ‘Let Go.’

Enjoy (IN Joy) and have fun! Be Everything All the Time.

March 8th – Going to Silver Springs
It’s March 8th, 2024; Here’s a traditional country original song for you! There’s no permanent damage after relationships end, even if one was in a very bad situation (and I can think of some extremely horrendous scenarios). Each of us, if we’re still alive, has the opportunity to heal, restore, and move on. In fact, I often say, “onward and upward,” after any kind of relationship ends. This goes for jobs, friendships, etc.
Most people have a lot of trouble ending relationships though, or aren’t so resilient when circumstances change. And this is what I’d like to help people with. But folks have to be willing to change and grow. Each of us can learn from our mistakes or missteps IF we’re willing.
You’ll do just fine
Here’s the sixty-seventh new music post for 2024, as I consistently advance through Richard’s original song catalog with one new-to-you song every day this year. Even when the other is out of their mind, there’s no permanent damage. You’ll do just fine. More or less.
We’re getting out of the house
It feels like Spring (maybe even Summer) here in North Florida this week! And we have family in town for a few more days, so we’re going to Silver Springs and taking a break from our apartment. Ha! I’ll share some pictures tomorrow.
Put a new spin on it
Whatever is ending, a relationship or a move from a longtime place, we can always put a new spin on it, right? See the positives. As for new relationships, look for someone who challenges you in good ways, because if you find someone too much like yourself it might be boring! Haha! No drama. New roads! Adventures await.
Enjoy (IN Joy) and have fun! Be Everything All the Time.

May we all feel freer and soar in ’24! Here’s to experiencing new adventures!

March 1st – Big announcement!
It’s March 1st, 2024; Here’s an original traditional country song for you today. It’s a story about young ones playing games and then later, adults playing games again. Great times!
Our big announcement is official!
Here’s the sixty-first new music post for 2024, as I consistently share an original song each day this year. Have you ever played this game with anyone, Rock, Paper, Scissors? I’m so looking forward to playing games like this, board games, and such with our three young granddaughters when we move to New Hampshire by the end of June this year! Yes, it’s now official! That’s our big announcement! We’re leaving Florida and moving to New England (over a thousand miles away)! Woo-hoo! We’re excited about it!
We’re moving north!
A fellow Facebook friend posted the following one day in his Facebook Stories and I grabbed it (I save a LOT of these as screen captures). It spoke volumes to me at a time when I felt low (“down”) about friends who never visited, never invited us anywhere, and so on. I felt like we always had to drive TO see everyone and then NO ONE was there for us after Richard had a stroke (Oct. 2022). I thought once we moved to Ocala and left Bradenton, I could get over it and get on with life, but unfortunately, the friends we moved here to see have not visited either. So, I give up.
We are thankful that Richard’s sister and her husband have visited us, and two of our friends we’d not seen in decades. So, there’s that. We sincerely appreciate that they chose to take the time to visit us here in Ocala, FL!
It’s time for us to make the move
After Richard had the stroke, my daughter had mentioned several times that perhaps it was time for us to leave Florida. She genuinely wanted to come and help us, but she has three young daughters, a job, and a husband who works too. They are also landlords. To say they have a LOT going on would be an understatement. My daughter has a LOT to juggle. Thus, I know we were on her mind, especially when her brother, my son, left Florida and moved to North Carolina.
When my son left Florida, I felt so alone here. I mean, we used to have friends we thought cared for us–we certainly cared for them. And I don’t want to be bitter. Some of our friends have passed away in the last few years too. So, I just don’t feel there’s anyone left here to help us as we get older. And my daughter wants to help us.

The more I walk my talk and work on my Integrating the Spirals processes, tips, and tricks, the more I understand why people have shied away from us. They are busy in their own lives and we just don’t rate high enough on their list of priorities to try and come and see us. One has tried, but I was sick the day she was going to drive two hours to visit with us–I am hopeful we’ll see her again before we move.
Though I do look back, I’m always reaching for the better feeling thought, as Abraham-Hicks says. I am always working on myself, and am currently taking a class with a Theosophy group of about twelve people. I am grateful for them, otherwise, I’d feel quite left out. As an only child, feeling “left out” was always the worst feeling I had. I would even force myself to sit at the dinner table with my parents and watch them eat whenever I was too sick to eat (as a child). That’s how much “joining in” meant to me as a child. And the community has meant just as much to me as an adult. It must be because my soul has always recognized that, We Are All Connected.
I will sit with my feelings and meditate on the external sounds that I am unattached to. This always helps me heal and balance my mind because it’s all frequencies), and God only knows what others’ motivations are. All I know is, I’ve tried. And as Richard often says, “The road runs both ways.” If we mean that much to our friends and family, they will make the effort to come and see us.
All I can ever do is, mind my own Energy. Just as my t-shirt/mug/sticker design says, Minding My Energy. If I didn’t get down once in a while, I wouldn’t appreciate ALL the times I’m UP! And I’d rather laugh than cry. Wink!

Years ago I had rented a condo on the lake in New Hampshire and invited friends and family to visit. Dad didn’t think he could even make the trip, though he said he would have liked to, and I understood because of all he had to do with caregiving for Mom. But it was the first time in my life that he didn’t visit me in a new place. And cousins who didn’t live that far couldn’t find the time to visit. But one of my coworkers from a few years prior found the time and inclination to visit me there, and she got to meet my granddaughters. I was thrilled! I will never forget her choosing to visit me–it meant the world.
Of course, I was primarily there (for a month in New Hampshire) for my daughter and granddaughters, and I got to see them after work, and on weekends. We had a blast! I also began developing my Integrating the Spirals back then (while staying at the lakeside condo). I couldn’t fully realize that then though. I’d begun bowing to the four directions each day because of a wood plaque that was hung on the living room wall of the condo. The words on that wooden sign fed my soul daily. Later, when we went to Ireland, England, and Scotland on our Sacred Celtic Journey, the seed those words had planted within my psyche and soul resonated with the uplifting and empowering vibrations I experienced at Newgrange, Stonehenge, and with the Yew tree at Rosslyn castle. Aha! Time spent with friends, family, and sacred places matters.
May we all feel freer and soar in ’24! Always planting new seeds and integrating the processes that help me and ALL of us balance and find ease, and JOY!
Yours in expanding, balancing, spiraling consciousness,
Sheila “Spiral Sister” Murrey

Connect with us
Here are the social channels where I am most active:
We have arrived! Our first week living in Ocala, Florida
Here’s a run down from our move to Ocala, Florida. We are loving Ocala already! If you would rather listen instead of read, play the audio:
First impressions:
- Furniture – We lived in an RV for 11 years and then a furnished condo for 2 years, so while we are minimalists, we still needed a few pieces of furniture. We got a great deal on two twin mattresses at the first store we visited ($250 each!) and the next day we found a huge furniture consignment store and made offers on a computer desk and leather Serta office chair, and Broyhill console for our TV. Yes, we had bought a new TV 2 years ago for the condo since the one that was there didn’t work right or we couldn’t figure it out. We also ordered two barstools from Amazon for the bar/raised kitchen counter.
- Doctor – We’re very happy with Richard’s new doc and I’ll be seeing her as well, whenever needed. She took Richard’s blood and sent it off to a lab for results to come in a few days. We are self pay currently and she only charged us $79 and gave us all the lab fees for the blood tests up front too so there were no surprises at the check out counter. I’ll be writing another article about her so watch for that if you want to know.
- Grocery store – We can walk to a Publix and that was the prime reason we chose this apartment community (along with their amenities, beautiful grounds with large oaks, unit floorpan, and availability of a ground floor unit). Publix is employee-owned.
- Restaurants – We love the Italian restaurant and diner next to the Publix! Great customer service and selection of food. The food has been hot and delicious. Plus we have a Subway in the plaza too and the Publix deli. Of course I cook–(but not this week as I’m on vacation).
- Banking – I started a new account for us at one of the two credit unions here in the plaza. They are not planning on joining the Central Banking Digital Currency (CBDC) thing and are owned by members headquartered in Lakeland, FL with branches all over Florida. They even offer a high-rate Certificate of Deposit that is now paying over 5% interest! We were treated very well and got our new account setup within an hour (though we did have to walk home and back to get our lease to prove our new address). Two banks failed in California recently so I really wanted to move our funds to a safer place and we’ve always loved credit unions.
- Apartment Community – The community had a food truck come in yesterday and that was such a treat! We’ve never had that before! We didn’t have anyone help us unload our stuff on Monday or furniture on Tuesday but I asked and that’s what was important. Mostly as you know, I’m very self sufficient. I noticed several people wearing ear buds so that’s why a few didn’t help because they didn’t even hear me ask. I also asked the guys at the furniture store but no one had time or knew anyone to refer us to call.
- Neighbors – Our upstairs neighbors were moving in on the same day too so they couldn’t help. And they haven’t learned how to walk in an upstairs apartment. I will wait to see if this improves or we adjust before I say anything about this though. Update 3/25/24: this never got better so we are moving. Yes, again. This has been untenable and apparently, due to the Federal Fair Housing Act, the apartment community cannot assign people to particular apartments based on age, working hours, or what not.
- Parking – We don’t have a car and don’t plan to so we have no issues with that. Though our bedroom is in the front of the unit by the parking lot so our neighbor wakes me up at 5am every morning when he starts his Charger. Go figure. Ha!
Mind-Body
It seems man always has a problem describing or explaining quantum mechanics while Nature simply plays it out intrinsically, organically. We can move our fingers, and whole body, in a wave-like fashion and observe our own movements. We don’t need to know the speed of light or how it’s measured in order to do this. We don’t have to know or understand wave function collapse. Any child can strum their fingers on a desk (or in the air) simulating a wave by moving each finger up and down incrementally one after another, and indeed they always have. No knowledge of physics is needed.
I’ll write another article on my mental health observations regarding moving as I already feel layers of the onion peeling away. I noticed yesterday I am much calmer and clear about some things but yes, wherever we go we take ourselves with us! Ha!
U-Haul missteps
- Incorrect store location sent to me via confirmation email
- Incorrect store opening time sent to me in ALL communications right from the start as well as in confirmation messages
- Improper coordination with third-party moving helpers via the U-Haul application and that you have to pay in advance to reserve that help but if they cancel or cannot fulfill their service, they have 3-7 days to return your money! If someone is short on funds they then cannot try to schedule an alternative moving helper company because they will also have to pay in advance for them (while still waiting on the first company to refund their money)!
- I’ve sent a review to U-Haul but may also send screen captures of the communications to them at a later date (I’m not sure it’s worth my time/energy)
- Thankfully, the U-Haul location for the truck drop-off went well and the lady there, Carla, was quite nice and welcomed us to our new home. Also our Lyft driver from there back to Publix was a retired state trooper from the Virgin Islands and super nice—we even discussed a potential tutoring job for me!

All in all, we’re sore from doing all of the unloading and walking, but we’re very happy to be here and feel a complete sense of accomplishment getting so much done on our own. Next time, if we ever move again, we’ll hire movers. Ha!
My 4th book is on Amazon!! And here’s how you can read it: Have Yourself a Wholly Vibrant Life: Reversing Asthma and Other Chronic Illness Naturally
To our better health, ease, joy, and sustainment in JOY!

Current TO DO list
This is a post of my current ‘To Do’ list and what my day-to-day life looks like. If you would rather listen instead of read, play the audio:
List of current tasks
Good morning. Good afternoon. Good evening.
Reiki
I sent the following list to my Reiki group when my Reiki teacher asked one of the others to find out why I wasn’t coming to the Reiki Masters weekend class that NOW they want to have June 17th/18th.
The class date has already changed multiple times—and one was due to my request from having to work one weekend. Thus, I was flexible and canceled our vacation, which was to be this week when the class was set for June 3rd/4th. I say this to admit the lens of irritation I am looking through at the moment.
In the order of importance, my reasoning for not attending is:
- 1) I can no longer leave Richard for a whole day (much less two days in a row)
- 2) I have no car and taking Uber/Lyft is too expensive, hassle of riding alone (Richard always goes with me anywhere in Uber/Lyft when/wherever I have to go)
- 3) No one has came to see us/visit, etc. Not just from Reiki but the other friends we have had here for 6 years and I am feeling effects of that – the yin/yang and push/pull kind of energy disturbance. Now, I am distancing us from others as I perceive this whole flux of energy—be it right or wrong; that’s what it is
- 4) I know my Reiki master teacher and other friend there are probably enjoying the avocado trees I brought over when we had a rental car, (neither could visit us to pickup the trees, so we went out of our way to drop them off a month or so ago). No one has sent me any updates or pictures, thank you’s or what not of the trees. And yes, little things like that add up to me. Actions speak louder than words. If I hadn’t started making this list, because someone couldn’t accept No as a complete sentence, I probably wouldn’t have realized this annoys me, but I guess it does. I realize everyone is busy and that the trees are small things. But I put a lot of money, time, love, and Reiki energy into those. And I am human. And now, yes, by choice, homebound. So, the lack of any updates is magnified.
- 5) I am running a Power of 8 group now via Zoom, so I think my desire of group Connection is fulfilled
- 6) I am running another course, marketing books, music, and still working my job, which keeps me busy – so my mental plate is FULL and I don’t feel it is necessary anymore to complete the Masters Reiki. No one is taking me up on my offers of prayers or Reiki support either. Or at least, not many, and my other health business is taking off.
- 7) I miss several others from our earlier Reiki circles (the Tuesday nights) and thankfully, one has reached out to me for other reasons than why I am choosing not to attend the masters training. I really am not feeling pity for myself. I humbly remain in Gratitude for ALL.

Updated Blue Eyes: Ethereal Messages of Connection
I had a few small items to correct in the ebook and that is done. I have to update the paperback version as well.
Joined new writing group on Facebook
I am now in an Akashic Records writing group on Facebook. It’s a paid private group that meets twice a month for about an hour each time, on zoom.
Started writing a new book!
I have a name for the new book and have started getting my notes together in Scrivener for it! Curious of its name? It is something I have blogged about and say many times. Let me know in the comments.
Decluttering laptop
Checking off moving tasks
- Uship – setup moving request in draft
- Found a Uhaul place in Ocala near one of the possible apartment communities in case there’s any issues with Uship
- I feel I can do most of the move myself if need be but I will take a week off to do it
- Have three potential apartment communities to call to get final availability on June 15th for August 20th move-in – one called today and sent us two potential unit numbers to check the community map to see which we might like
- Started packing our bedroom this past weekend
- Ordered more totes from Thirty-One for organizing/packing
- Using up food stored in the kitchen so we will have less to move
Seeking a way to travel to New Hampshire this summer
We don’t want to fly, but we are open to traveling by train (though to reach our destination will require us changing trains three times or more, plus still renting a car and driving a hundred miles or so for the last bit).
I think it would be lovely to travel with a group of like-minded friends and add some sacred site stops in along the way! I have a list of places we could see and fantastic AirBnB places to stay as well. Anyone interested in that? We could make the trip 10-14 days in length. Florida to New Hampshire and back. Let me know in the comments.
One of my cousins called and offered to fly to Florida and drive us in a rental RV or van to NH. We are thinking about it.
Finding ease within responsibility
We Are ALL Connected and the decisions of others can and do tug, push, or pull us to the degree we ALLOW. I still believe in personal responsibility because if I influence someone to higher or lower frequency—I am culpable. Omniscience knows ALL.
What do you think? Let me know in the comments.

Lessons from mom
Diary pages
Along with several diary pages that mom had written in the 1960s and 1970s, I found an unsigned letter to her that made me question which is more important taking advice from family or from friends. The statement in the letter that got me was, “I’m disappointed in you that you feel that your friends understand you better than your family (and me).”
Who wrote it?
I have an idea of who the letter is from, but I am not sure. It was typed, single spaced on one sheet of paper. As of this moment, it doesn’t matter to me who wrote the letter. I will say that it ended on what I would consider to be a positive note, though still preachy. “Don’t continually think about what is in your past. Let’s live for the future.” Now, as for me, “I’ve had my share of sad kicks in my face, but I have come through” (to quote from one of my favorite Queen songs, We Are The Champions). I haven’t cried much in the last year since mom passed, mostly because I still communicate with her in subtle ways, and I am keenly aware of her continuation in my life by occurring synchronicities. Yet, today, I cried. I had meditated and upon coming out of meditation, I was filled with emotion. I cried and spoke the following aloud:Family reflect who we were; friends reflect who we are.
Family reflect who we once were, or who we were in the past. But, our friends reflect who we are now, who we’ve become, and how much we’ve grown (or not). That’s why we sometimes tend to love our friends more than our family. Yet, some of us (like me), who are very blessed, have family we are also friends with and who we want to spend eternity with. Time limits us, but thankfully (Thank you, God), that eternity is not limited. Here’s something that’s true for most of us. We’re stuck in a box, or bottle. Even if its clear.
The box or bottle I’m referring to? The fences (rules) of religion—even when religion supposedly isn’t involved.
From a dream
Dream: Mom was reminding me about all the notations she had made in her Bible about “No gossip”, and “not to gossip.”
Best lesson
Thank you.
