May 8th – Everything to nothing

It’s May 8th, 2024; Here’s an original pop song that offers a philosophy for living and loving. This is a unique song, lyrically, about going from everything to nothing and realizing you’ve been played. A unique song with vocals by Bubba Hudson and presents a smooth production mix (including an organ-sounding keyboard) by Steven Cooper, Nashville, TN.

All for your enjoyment

Here’s the one-hundred-twenty-ninth new music post for 2024, as I consistently showcase a unique song of ours every day for your listening pleasure and enjoyment.

We’re each just walkin’ each other home

My daughter and I had a great day together today, returning the router modem combo I’d ordered from Amazon (it was supposed to work, but didn’t). We went to Staples to do the Amazon return and then we went to Best Buy. The tech who had come out to our apartment this morning from Comcast said the router modem I had from Amazon had an HMC number but they needed a C number to be able to add it to our account. UGH! At Best Buy all the router modems had HMC numbers. So, I don’t know if the tech was wrong or what. When I walked over by the TVs a Best Buy guy popped out from one of the aisles and asked if he could help me find anything. I told him we’d had trouble getting our router modem to connect to Xfinity (Comcast) and he directed us to the same brand that we’d had but a better (more expensive unit) noting that the one we’d picked (same as the one we’d ordered from Amazon) was OLD technology. Go figure. So, he recommended this one or another (but they were out of the other). $179 later and another $35 for the 4-year insurance and we were set. Then we walked around looking at the washer-dryer combo machines we’re eventually going to buy and put in here.

After that, we had a lovely lunch at a Mexican restaurant and brought home some food for the hubby. As well, we stopped at the liquor store and did a bit of shopping. Back home (in the apartment, which is attached my daughter and son-in-law’s house) my daughter got our internet working… YAY! ALL is better now! LOL

Spiral thought: In retrospect from the Ocala FL cable office fiasco, at least I said, “I’m on my last nerve,” not “You’re on my last nerve”! Ha! So, I see my progress. And if you don’t know what I’m referring to, go to yesterday’s post.

Actions speak louder

I so much want to embody this quote because I do believe we should all be able to coexist and get along. But know your actions do speak louder than words, and so do mine. I will move on if I’m disrespected or put down.

Meme: “Coexist. Your beliefs don’t make you a better person. Your behavior does.” –Author unknown

I really am a humble person. I can take a lot. But I refuse to be walked on. Been there done that. I am nice and caring. But I am always seeking my own level, like water. And when I get too much piled on me, unfortunately, I buckle under the pressure. I am working on that. I’m working on being kind to the assholes I encounter. I realize I will never understand what they have going on in their lives and that they could care less about what’s going on in my life. I get it. And that’s why I really like minding my own business and minding my own energy.

Enjoy (IN Joy) everything and love! Be Everything All the Time.

May we all soar in ’24! Here’s to everything happens for a reason, and living FREE!

Yours in expanding, caring, spiraling consciousness,

Sheila “Spiral Sister” Murrey

May 7th – Anything I can do

It’s May 7th, 2024; Here’s an original country duet song about a couple working together to help each other. And that’s exactly how Richard and I got through our 4-day moving adventure. Even if he simply held my iPhone before an interchange! Ha! We work well together. And together we made it to New England from Florida. Woo-freaking-hoo! So, here’s a song to celebrate that offers a charming production mix (including a lot of lively keyboard playing) by Steven Cooper, Nashville, TN.

You help me do it better

Here’s the one-hundred-twenty-eighth new music post for 2024, as I consistently offer everyone a unique song each day this year for your listening pleasure (and help us get our songs heard). I am always amused by how Richard keeps me laughing even when I get triggered or stressed, even if he agrees with my fantasy of choking someone. Okay, yes, only in our thoughts. My hubby helps me do better.

The Yin and Yang of it

I know it’s always up to me to mind my energy.  As in managing my thoughts, triggers, emotions, etc.

The woman at the cable company had no idea what day I’d had (and the day prior as well–nor should she) to my arrival to drop off our internet router–though my driving a 16′ moving truck and full body sweat could have given her a clue, no one really ‘gets that’ unless they’ve gone through it. I was in NO MOOD for her uppity tone or demand for me to move the truck though she knew (because she said so) we were only there to return equipment which would take less than 5 minutes. And to my point, the parking lot was nearly empty! Again, not her problem. I believe you should FIRST take care of the person in front of you before worrying about whoever may come in later. I was there first, and I should have been able to park wherever I wanted! (Is that my ego?)

I’m still a bit peeved about the whole experience, but believe me, the Universe showed me real F’n fast that I was the one attracting trouble upon myself (I felt handicapped and hurt already from loading the truck for two days at that point) but I chose to pull that big truck into the lot crossing over two handicap parking spaces when I could have just as easily pulled in on the other side of the lot. I did see someone with a different kind of trailer on the other side, so I guess I wanted to avoid him–but I don’t know. I guess I wasn’t thinking (I know my brain isn’t processing as fast as it used to–I’m old!

So, MY error, brought her sailing out of the cable office within 30 seconds of my pulling across those two spaces, scaring Richard and me when she popped by his door window to ask me to move the truck, at which time I hopped out with router box in hand (thinking, “I only have this one small thing to return), but before I could say anything she was at my door telling me to move even if I was only returning equipment. I uttered, “I’m on my last nerve.” And I was. I didn’t want to practice backing that truck up at that moment. But I was still pleasant about it. I didn’t call her any names, throw up a finger, or whatever. It all happened so quickly. I don’t think I thought that far–again, I wasn’t processing the situation that fast. I was just hot, sweaty, hurting already, and still getting used to driving the big truck loaded with all our belongings. I tapped the gas (I didn’t think I floored it), and the truck took off faster than I’d expected, sending a stack of tall boxes flying and some odds and ends (we could hear it).

I got my real fast ‘yin and yang’ type of answer from the Universe though! Expend my energy–receive a pushback! That was the sign I needed to regain my composure before I hurt myself or someone else or break our stuff.

I pulled ahead to the stop sign and checked my GPS (to turn the volume down I think), and while sitting at the stop two e-bikes went down the sidewalk within inches of the front of the truck and I didn’t even see them. Richard warned me and said I should wait a minute or two before easing my foot off the gas to proceed. They scared him taking a chance like that. I’m famous for easing out into the road and have now learned that lesson too, though I do not expect to do much of any driving from now on–(we returned the rental truck this morning). I then got out into the middle ‘suicide’ lane and made a left turn to reenter the cable company parking lot to park in a more appropriate space. God knows if I’d said any more to her or threw the router out the window or one of any of a hundred other possible responses, she’d have called the law on me and that would have ended our moving trip right then and there. So, after centering my energy for a moment, I hobbled into the office while holding my back. If anyone had questioned me I was going to say, “I’m handicapped”! I didn’t speak to the ‘manager’ or whoever she was, though she walked by with her nose in the air, when I went into the office and the young gal who helped me was very kind. I didn’t care that she thought she was right. I don’t always need to be right. I just needed to return the router and get on the road. Thankfully, and as I’d expected, it only took two or three minutes for her to update my address and give me credit for returning the router. Jesus. We weren’t even out of Ocala yet and I was frazzled.

My emotions fluctuate

The older I get, the less I know sometimes (I think). And as spiritual as I think I am, and though I aim to teach Awareness, I still lose my shit too! I am just thankful Omniscience God got us to our new home in one piece! And none of our stuff broke either! Yes, a few boxes had toppled over, but in the big scheme of things that was nothing.

Meme: When the Bible says “do not lean on your own understanding, ” the Bible is being serious. Your heart is deceitful, your emotions fluctuate, your understanding does not see the overall, big picture. God never lies, God never changes, God knows all. Trust Him.” –Author unknown

As I wrote yesterday, apparently I still have a long way to go in my personal growth and development. Yet, why do I care anyway? I mean, I know nobody’s perfect. But I’d like to live a nice long life without hurting anyone. I seek calm. I seek peace. Maybe I can use this story in my standup routine in the future. The haughty arrogant cable office woman. I don’t know. I’ve written up the first couple minutes of a 5-minute standup routine and would like to present it at an open mic night sometimes, but we’ll see. Maybe my ego needs some more humility.

As I wrote in 2020 in this blog, “…sharing her own truth, by speaking freely about her personal struggles and the challenges she continues to overcome.” So, I think that when we are stressed to the max, the next slightest thing can set us off. That’s how bad things happen.

Enjoy (IN Joy) everything and love! Be Everything All the Time.

May we all soar in ’24! Here’s to believing Omniscience has our back, and living FREE!

Yours in expanding, centering, spiraling consciousness,

March 1st – Big announcement!

It’s March 1st, 2024; Here’s an original traditional country song for you today. It’s a story about young ones playing games and then later, adults playing games again. Great times!

Our big announcement is official!

Here’s the sixty-first new music post for 2024, as I consistently share an original song each day this year. Have you ever played this game with anyone, Rock, Paper, Scissors? I’m so looking forward to playing games like this, board games, and such with our three young granddaughters when we move to New Hampshire by the end of June this year! Yes, it’s now official! That’s our big announcement! We’re leaving Florida and moving to New England (over a thousand miles away)! Woo-hoo! We’re excited about it!

We’re moving north!

A fellow Facebook friend posted the following one day in his Facebook Stories and I grabbed it (I save a LOT of these as screen captures). It spoke volumes to me at a time when I felt low (“down”) about friends who never visited, never invited us anywhere, and so on. I felt like we always had to drive TO see everyone and then NO ONE was there for us after Richard had a stroke (Oct. 2022). I thought once we moved to Ocala and left Bradenton, I could get over it and get on with life, but unfortunately, the friends we moved here to see have not visited either. So, I give up.

We are thankful that Richard’s sister and her husband have visited us, and two of our friends we’d not seen in decades. So, there’s that. We sincerely appreciate that they chose to take the time to visit us here in Ocala, FL!

It’s time for us to make the move

After Richard had the stroke, my daughter had mentioned several times that perhaps it was time for us to leave Florida. She genuinely wanted to come and help us, but she has three young daughters, a job, and a husband who works too. They are also landlords. To say they have a LOT going on would be an understatement. My daughter has a LOT to juggle. Thus, I know we were on her mind, especially when her brother, my son, left Florida and moved to North Carolina.

When my son left Florida, I felt so alone here. I mean, we used to have friends we thought cared for us–we certainly cared for them. And I don’t want to be bitter. Some of our friends have passed away in the last few years too. So, I just don’t feel there’s anyone left here to help us as we get older. And my daughter wants to help us.

Meme: “In life, friendships change, divorces happen, people move on, others die. By Les Brown; Life Learned Feelings

The more I walk my talk and work on my Integrating the Spirals processes, tips, and tricks, the more I understand why people have shied away from us. They are busy in their own lives and we just don’t rate high enough on their list of priorities to try and come and see us. One has tried, but I was sick the day she was going to drive two hours to visit with us–I am hopeful we’ll see her again before we move.

Though I do look back, I’m always reaching for the better feeling thought, as Abraham-Hicks says. I am always working on myself, and am currently taking a class with a Theosophy group of about twelve people. I am grateful for them, otherwise, I’d feel quite left out. As an only child, feeling “left out” was always the worst feeling I had. I would even force myself to sit at the dinner table with my parents and watch them eat whenever I was too sick to eat (as a child). That’s how much “joining in” meant to me as a child. And the community has meant just as much to me as an adult. It must be because my soul has always recognized that, We Are All Connected.

I will sit with my feelings and meditate on the external sounds that I am unattached to. This always helps me heal and balance my mind because it’s all frequencies), and God only knows what others’ motivations are. All I know is, I’ve tried. And as Richard often says, “The road runs both ways.” If we mean that much to our friends and family, they will make the effort to come and see us.

All I can ever do is, mind my own Energy. Just as my t-shirt/mug/sticker design says, Minding My Energy. If I didn’t get down once in a while, I wouldn’t appreciate ALL the times I’m UP! And I’d rather laugh than cry. Wink!

My meme: The planet has ice at both poles. If you want to get warmer, move closer to middle ground. Polarized people are often colder (bitter).

Years ago I had rented a condo on the lake in New Hampshire and invited friends and family to visit. Dad didn’t think he could even make the trip, though he said he would have liked to, and I understood because of all he had to do with caregiving for Mom. But it was the first time in my life that he didn’t visit me in a new place. And cousins who didn’t live that far couldn’t find the time to visit. But one of my coworkers from a few years prior found the time and inclination to visit me there, and she got to meet my granddaughters. I was thrilled! I will never forget her choosing to visit me–it meant the world.

Of course, I was primarily there (for a month in New Hampshire) for my daughter and granddaughters, and I got to see them after work, and on weekends. We had a blast! I also began developing my Integrating the Spirals back then (while staying at the lakeside condo). I couldn’t fully realize that then though. I’d begun bowing to the four directions each day because of a wood plaque that was hung on the living room wall of the condo. The words on that wooden sign fed my soul daily. Later, when we went to Ireland, England, and Scotland on our Sacred Celtic Journey, the seed those words had planted within my psyche and soul resonated with the uplifting and empowering vibrations I experienced at Newgrange, Stonehenge, and with the Yew tree at Rosslyn castle. Aha! Time spent with friends, family, and sacred places matters.

May we all feel freer and soar in ’24! Always planting new seeds and integrating the processes that help me and ALL of us balance and find ease, and JOY!

February 29th – Pickin’ and grinnin’ happy

It’s February 29th, 2024; Here’s a happy and fun, toe-tappin’ country song for you today on this Leap Year extra day! What a great time to “take one day out of life” and improve our thought processes. Or change our perceptions! Now, even if you don’t feel like it, smile big and see if this song doesn’t lift your spirits. Then let us know in the comments.

Toe tappin’

Here’s the sixtieth new music post for 2024, as I consistently offer an original song each day this year. Pickin’ his guitar more and more, this guy is a boot-stompin’ cowboy. He loves the ladies and he’s pickin’ and a grinnin’, as happy as he can be. When was the last time you were this happy?

It’s a timely philosophy

A fellow blogger mentioned how positive I always seem to be. And that was an uplifting comment to read! I tend to find the ebb and flow of life. I do look for the silver lining when things seem cloudy, or look to the bright and light side, to begin with. But if circumstances turn downward, I’m human and though I don’t want to be “down,” it happens.

Perception management for Very Advanced Souls advice from TUT

The more I walk my own talk though, and work on my Integrating the Spirals processes, tips, and tricks, the more I can regain my cheery disposition. I’m always reaching for the better feeling thought, as Abraham-Hicks says. And I am always working on myself, investing time (and money), to improve my outlook, which I think improves mental health. I agree with TUT that advanced souls are always on the lookout to improve their perceptions.

I love music (and believe in sound healing because it’s all frequencies), and we’ve invested heavily in it to be sure, as this is one way for us to “be happy” and attempt to spread cheer to others. Albeit, a lot of Richard’s lyrics are simply observations on life, thus, there are some sad songs too.

Even after a sad song, we could say, “Cheer up, dear soul, it’ll be okay.” as TUT says.

Remember that t-shirt design I did a few years ago? It follows along with this line of thought. It’s called, Minding My Energy.

May we all feel freer and soar in ’24! And here’s to keeping the beat in our lives by integrating processes that bring us more calm, ease, and JOY!
