A surreal vision of soul-departing

Vision of a soul departing

At this time, I am ready to write about a nearly indescribable experience I had the morning after my dad passed away.

My dad passed away in his sleep the night of March 8th, 2019. The next morning when I got the call (from my son), my husband came home from work and we drove 2.5 hours to the property where my son and dad lived. My son, distraught from finding his papaw in that way, asked if my husband and I could stay the night, and of course, I had already decided we would (though we really had not had any presence of mind to take anything with us).

So, as the night wore on, I slept sporadically. At one point, I awoke and cried. As I was about to fall back asleep (about 5am), I had an incredible vision. I saw that my amazing father had been sleeping on the couch in his motorhome and about two feet of the wall, near the ceiling, had opened up and an immense golden light appeared. At the far edge of the golden light, similar to the golden sunlight the next photo captures, there was a distant outline of a city.

Now, I’ve never been one to believe in heavenly streets paved with gold or anything, though the Wizard of Oz is one of my favorite movies, and there’s that scene in it of the shimmering green city of Oz. So, perhaps that was coming through my subconscious. But, the next part is what totally blew my mind!

When that golden light appeared, it took my daddy’s soul, instantly, up and out of the motorhome (through that opening in the wall) and my dad had no choice in the matter. His eyes and mouth were open. His soul departed his body out through his eyes and mouth. My son confirmed to me that dad’s eyes and mouth were open when he found him.

In the vision I was given a knowing that when my dad’s soul departed, he did not have thoughts of missing anyone here, what things he had left to do, what else he had planned to do–Nothing. It was that quick. His soul just left. Poof!

I took a moment to write the following, right after the vision, so I wouldn’t forget it. And so I could tell of it later. This is what I jotted down on my iPhone:

Eternal Love

I know my dad loved me more than I could ever know. I have grieved his passing mostly because I thought he was doing well. He’d not been sick. He looked fine. Not overweight. No beer belly. No diabetes, or any other chronic illness that I knew of. In other words, older, but the picture of health.

And I grieved because I hadn’t seen him since Jan. 6th, when I had visited to commemorate what would have been mom and dad’s 59th wedding anniversary. We lost my mom 21 months prior to dad’s passing.

Dad had called me a few days before he passed and made an “appointment” with me (his word, not mine) to visit on March 18th. Often he’d tell me he knew I was “busy, busy, busy.” Ugh!

Papa had stopped by our place unannounced the week prior, but as fate would have it, my job had called me out of town on short notice, and neither my husband nor I were home when he’d stopped by (and he never just popped in). It was just all salt to open wounds of grief.

I have read that in India, when someone dies with their eyes and mouth open, that it indicates the person did good deeds in this life. Oh, yes! I know this was the case with my dad. Though he’d made his share of mistakes (haven’t we all? I know I sure have!), he learned from them and lived the rest of his days as a beacon of what loyalty and love means.

Forever Home – A Calling

I took this next picture in our home state of West Virginia. It’s of the last property my daddy bought, and of the tree stump where dad used to sit and gaze upon the hills. My son had smoothed the seat after dad had told him he loved the view from there.

Oh, I wonder what dad thought about while he sat there. I have at least one voicemail also, where he’d mentioned this was where he was sitting when he called.

I am now realizing the road of life can be rough. But, when we love, and we know our dear ones loved us, we can consciously choose to smooth it out and know we have nothing to fear beyond The Veil.

We Are All Connected.

Even when we choose, like I have, to take the long way home, it is said that we shall meet again. My soul finds rest and comfort in that knowing. [Insert BIG ❤️ here]!

Every morning I look into my eyes and I see you there. And when I miss you, I kiss the palm of my hand because your blood runs through my veins and connects us still.

Hugs and kisses, papa and mama. Until we meet again.

To everyone: Be a blessing. Much love to you in ALL ways. Amen and Namaste. OM

Turn to the Heart

Turn to the Heart

Turn to the Heart and dive deep into its sweet waters.
Become drunk with the sweetness you find there and nowhere else.

Turn to the HeartTurn to the Heart

Why crave about a million thoughts that won’t enrich you,
when the treasure of all treasures is right inside you?
Why run after knowledge, when the fruit of all knowledge is ripe and ready to pick in your Heart?

You have searched, since the beginning of time, for the reason of your existence.
By endlessly seeking you have forgotten how to find.
Now let go of the childish games of the mind and open to the source that is calling to you from before time!

Why travel a thorny path when a soft road lies at your feet?
That road leads to the source of love in your Heart.
Here God awaits you with the food you have longed for;
here the bliss of your existence flows like a never-ending stream of delight.

Why are you still thirsty? Bow down to love.
Empty your pockets of rods and fill them with the emeralds from the riverbed.
See the light pours into you from the Heart and from you into the world.

You are rich beyond understanding.
Why do you still behave like a beggar?
Fill yourself from the source and empty yourself into the world.
You will find that your fullness will never end.

It’s ANCIENT and Expansive, not NEW AGE

It’s ANCIENT and Expansive, not NEW AGE

My path, my journey, isn’t NEW AGE. My path is an ancient and expansive one, as deep and vast as the Universe itself.

Not new age
Not new age

Besides, NEW AGE is just a label. A way of dividing us.

My friend, Dr. Alison J. Kay sent me (and her subscribers) a beautiful email today explaining it like this,

My path is not “New Age” In fact, it is quite ANCIENT.

There are SO many erroneous portrayals out there now that the enlightenment path, known today as “Awakening” during humanity’s Spiritual Awakening occurring 2012-2032, has coupled with the marketplace.

Social media memes, you tube videos, even our much beloved – and my fellow – New Thought leaders – still focus on information only, which is in the exact opposite direction of the openings required, after a certain point.

Eternal thanks to Dr. Alison for her timely and resonate email, which sparked me to write this post! XOXOXO

Awakening

Are you Awakening? Are you open to experiencing expansive shifts in your life? You can! It’s possible! Free your mind from the whisper of limitations. Feel for the powerful energy that’s available to us ALL!

  • Work with an aWEsOMe teacher, like Dr. Alison, Sadhguru, Pedram Shojai, Jeff Primack, Dr. Joe Dispenza, or Lama Nicholas Packard, to make massive shifts
  • Put in the consistent discipline required, via meditation, practicing Qigong, yoga, eating high vibrational foods, and so on
  • Know thyself; every thought a prayer, every action in alignment and integrated

It all hinges on one’s ability to know oneself. Put aside your ego mind (in each moment before DOING anything), sit or stand still and KNOW (feel for it) that you are ONE with Omniscience, and that the Universe really does have your back. Always loving you. You’ll know and feel it when you ALIGN with your Soul. With your Purpose. With your power. With Omniscience.

You will walk in integrity as it comes from a deeply embedded place of truth. Truth that resonates from your Soul, that’s pulsating from Omniscience.

Who are we?

Each of us are a fractal of Divine Omniscience! Together an exquisite, ever-changing, brilliant, and powerful kaleidoscope!

An invitation

Come out and play with us, March 2nd and 3rd, 2019 at Awakening Into The Sun in grand downtown St. Petersburg, Florida! Let’s discuss the amazing AWAKENING that’s occurring. It’s a dance, a conversation, a celebration of the expanding positive world we ALL can create–together!

We Are All Connected. OM

Many blessings to you in ALL ways.

Name calling

Where’s the love?

Obviously, not everyone can agree with everything or everyone. We may not like everyone. It seems that’s human nature.

We think different. We act different. We look and smell different. That doesn’t make us stupid, bad, or wrong.

The next time you are tempted to call someone dumb, illiterate, or crazy, take a moment and breathe.

Do you even know the meaning of the negative names you’re calling someone?

One of my family members is functionally illiterate, which is different than being illiterate. He was a slow reader all through school and couldn’t spell very well. He can read well enough to get by, holding good paying blue collar jobs his whole life and running businesses.

No one should call someone illiterate who has an extremely high IQ, runs billion dollar companies, and holds the highest political office in the country. A person can be intelligent, yet prefer not to be intellectual. Also, the mass number of Americans speak on a 4th grade level. When a politician (or other authority) uses doublespeak or legalize, the majority simply cannot relate.

What you resist persists

Will we get mad at certain things or people? Probably. Everyone does from time to time. But to live a wholly vibrant and fulfilling life, self control (starting with mastering your thoughts and emotions), is your work. Let others be.

Consider these quotes of Neville Goddard:

Do not dwell on the imperfection of yourself or others. To do so, is to impress the subconscious with these limitations.

What you do not want done unto you, do not feel that it is done to you or another.

Every feeling makes a subconscious impression.

The dominant of two feelings is the one expressed.

Self control

Look at yourself. Are you perfect? And what is perfection about anyway? As I’ve written about before, expand your mind to find perfection in the imperfection. Life’s an art more than it is a science.

If you really feel stuck and can’t move beyond the low vibrational name calling, I suggest doing The Work, beginning with The Four Questions with Byron Katie: http://thework.com/en/do-work

Byron Katie quoteByron Katie quote

From doing The Work years ago, I ascertained that for most it’s nearly impossible (and not our job) to absolutely know some particular thing is true. I learned to watch and feel for how I feel in my body when I believe certain things are true (vs. how much better I feel when I let go of my judgment about whatever it is and move on to better feeling thoughts).

Again I ask, where’s the love?

Where’s the love?
Where’s the love?

Think about the times you wanted something and didn’t know exactly how to go about it.

It takes breaking a few eggs to make an omelette.

Only the pressure of gravity over time can create diamonds in the rubble. We’d waste our lives waiting for it to happen, wouldn’t we?

Directional

Allow and share LOVE in all directions, north, east, south, west, above, below, forward, and behind. Unseen and seen. Past, present, and future. Indeed, in ALL directions for the benefit of ALL.

Conditional

By its very definition, Love is unconditional. You can’t say, “I love you” and then get mad when your loved one does something you do not like. That would mean you only like that person when they meet your conditions.

You don’t know what’s best for everyone. Nor do you or I know everything. Honestly, none of us will ever know Everything.

Love everywhere

For about a year my daily routine had been to bow my head with hands together while turning and thanking each of the four directions, north, east, south, and west for all gifts and knowledge received.

One day, I realized that I had been missing something.

Now, I put my hands together and stand in silent Gratitude for ALL, above, below, in front of, behind, unseen, and seen. For those who have lived, and for those who will live.

Sending love

The gratitude and love I feel and send is unconditional. I must send it to those I disagree with, as much or more than to those I agree with, otherwise I am not growing or expanding my consciousness.

So, stop the name calling. It only reverberates back to you. And then you may be the one with egg on your face.

Namaste. OM

The fences of religion

The fences (rules) of the religions of the world are somewhat similar. Have you noticed that?

Defining the rules

By definition, the rules of religion are the dogma, doctrine, or set of beliefs taught by a religious entity, whether that be a denomination, or sect. Of course, political parties, institutions of higher education, civic organizations and others can have dogmatic rules of order too, but for purposes of this discussion, I’ll limit my scope to faith oriented groups.

The rules of engagement can be based on written texts, such as the Holy Bible, of which exist a variety of translations and versions, but also taught by example. Before written texts, the rules were passed down through repetitive stories.

If you attend a synagogue, mosque, or church, you by no doubt, know there are many rules you should follow–whether you believe in all of them or not.

Walled church
Walled church

Short version: Fences (rules) are restricting.

Is it any wonder that we are so divided?

I believe we’ve been restricted (and segregated) for far too long. It is time to think deeper, broader.

When I think of God, I’m referring to LIMITLESS Omniscience. I use the name “God” in this article as it is the most widely known name to represent the Highest Sacred diety, Creator, or Source.

Every religion seems to define God differently. Some, even say that God is the personage of Jesus–and then go about portraying Jesus in different ways. Even with all the variety of beliefs, I stand by the fact that We Are All Connected. And I feel people (with or without faith) have more in common than we realize.

To me, the point is that each of us should be a living testimony of God because we are a fractal of Omniscience. Taking care of our body temple, aligning with our soul, mastering our mind, thoughts, heart, emotions, and impulses. The Kingdom of God is in our own hands. Omniscience looks upon our heart and sees our intentions.

My intention by writing this article is to open the eyes of some, and provide you with a broader understanding of your neighbor. You know, the one you’ve been taught to Love.

The long version:

Thus, here are the GENERAL RULES (noting if applicable to specific religions) I discovered that can keep followers fenced in (like a herd of sheep) to a particular faith.

Defining God. Speaking of God, who is God? The organization will tell you, in fact, preach to you, about their idea of who and what God is and if there’s only one, or many. Who are WE to attempt to define God? How presumptuous of us mere humans!

Defining Heaven. Everything about what Heaven is and how to get in is taught to you via your religion. There are rules specific to that, which are primarily the rules of the religious organization, because that’s the goal of most organized religions.

Holy Book. Almost every organized religion or faith, has a Holy book, whether it be a Bible, Book of Morman, Doctrine & Covenants, Qur’an, Hadith, Torah (Pentateuch), Tanach, Mishnah, Talmud and Midrash, Upanishads, Vedas, Bhagavad Gita, Tao Te Ching, Sutras, Tripitaka, or other. There are many Holy books, yet most people are only aware of a fraction of these, much less have they bothered to read from any of them. And then, within these books, there are hundreds of various translations.

Remember that pretend phone game most of us learned in elementary school where each would whisper a word in the child’s ear next to you? By the time the word was passed around the circle, the word at the end was totally different than the word spoken in the beginning! It’s kind of like that when it comes to gaining any kind of understanding of God from one version of one book. And books can divide, especially when one group says their book describes the ONLY way to God and Heaven.

Know the “Word of God.” Whatever scripture the religion uses, you’d better read it, know it, memorize it and such, so you’ll not be tempted to go in any other direction. And only read the specific translation the faith deems “true.” Far be it from you to read any other scripture, indeed your religion will likely tell you that any other spiritual type of work is devilish.

Beliefs. Do good things. Follow the commands. And if you don’t, confess your sins to someone else and ask God to forgive you. God forbid you do anything wrong = sin. And saying there’s no God (blasphemy), well, that will land you right in some eternal burning lake of fire. Eeks!

Fellowship. It feels good to congregate with people of like-mind. And they want to keep you thinking the same way. If you think or speak outside of the box, you’ll receive everything from a discouraging look to a stern lecture. Of course each congregation tends to segregate and limit who can attend.

Membership. Following attendance, but with stricter rules, is membership. Once you’ve been attending for awhile you are invited to become a privileged “member.” And once invited, you had better become a member, else, be damned. Once a member, never question your membership or you run the high risk of being booted out, ostracized, banished, or worse. Some faiths go so far as to ever let you see your family again, as is the case with the Amish and Scientologists.

Money. To keep the faith going, build and maintain churches, pay the clergy, and so on, members are highly encouraged to donate 10 percent (or some certain set percentage) of money in tithes to the organization. And unless you serve on the budget committee, you are never to question where the money goes.

Recruit. The religion must grow and keep their numbers up–to keep the money flowing in and the morale up. By keeping morale high, it sets the organization up for boasting that their God is bigger than another organization’s God.

Conversely, though the religion wants to grow, many will limit who can join. This is limiting, restrictive, and such a paradox!

Symbology. Some might call these statues, icons, idols, monuments, totems, or other types of engraved symbols that memorialize and pay tribute to the religion. There are caves, paintings, geometric designs (circles, spirals, wheels, and crosses) roads, hills, alters, man made items (rugs, mats, knives, beads, stained glass), celestial bodies (like the sun, moon, and stars), statues of saints or other revered entities. The list is nearly endless. If you can observe it and draw it, it’s probably associated with some religion.

Rituals. Or not. Being quiet, making certain sounds, singing, dancing, smudging, standing, sitting, or kneeling at prescribed times and places and with a certain goal in mind (to either reach or please God, or the essence of our soul). Placing hands together in prayer pose, kneeling on one or both knees, or using prayer beads (Catholics), or prayer rugs or mats (Muslims). And of course, the rituals of blessings, baptisms, and confessing one to another or to a priest (someone who’s supposed to be living a righteous life).

Prayer. Some sort of memorized prayers, or rites and methods are often taught. Along with the previous ritual involved in praying, whether it be how to pray, when to pray (at a certain time of day or night), kneeling, standing, or lying flat on the ground. In the Islamic religion prayers are directional–always toward Mecca.

Thoughts. Speaking of prayer, we are not only taught to pray, but what words make up a good prayer. We are always asking for something. Usually for ourselves more than for others, but of course, praying for a better situation for others is supposed to be the best prayers, as what we ask God to do for others, God will also do for us.

Meditation. Most Western religions do not allow meditation, either in church or outside of it. (Unity based organizations allow and encourage meditation.) Sometimes an organization will use the term meditation, but it’s use is defined by meditating on a particular scripture passage (Christian) or mantra (Hinduism). We wouldn’t want you falling into a deep mental abyss.

Clothing. Every organized religions loves to set a standard dress code, whether by written rule or by peer pressure. Each member promotes the standard to visitors begin to conform over time. Naturally, (cough) God deserves to see us in our best attire. And for the ladies, modest attire–typically a dress that covers most of the body. Some prescribe head coverings.

Buildings. The members typically always meet in a building, whether it be a church, synagogue, temple, spiritual center, ashram, or other. This almost always involves meeting in a building that someone will need to pay for, and maintain, which leads members to believe that donations and tithes must be given without question.

Security. Lock it up. Protect it. Only go to the religious building when it’s open. And be on time. The building is there for groups, not for individuals or families to take shelter during a crisis. Their insurance rates would go up. This is perhaps one of the most ludicrous reasons for NOT believing that worshippers need an assembly building in which to meet. Talk about FAITH! Oh, ye of little faith! Do you not remember that EVERYTHING belongs to God?

Defend it. Similar to Security, Membership, and Recruitment, followers of various religions typically feel the need to defend the belief. Why? Will the dogma of the faith fall apart without people ready and willing to sacrifice all to defend it?

Timing. This rule goes hand in hand with rituals and having to go into buildings. Don’t go in or out, stay seated until you are directed to stand or kneel, and exit at the end of the service in an orderly fashion.

Children. This could also come under the heading of Behavior. Don’t allow your children to be disruptive during any assembly meeting. Children must obey their parents and guardians.

Joy. Don’t smile too much, or be too happy. Serving God is serious business. Someone might think you’re up to something if you’re always joyful.

Curiousity. Don’t bother asking any tough spiritual questions. And never talk down, back to, or get uppity with any member of the clergy.

Adherence. Be sure to follow all of the rules to the best of your ability, never mind what the preacher, priest, or other leader is doing (pay no attention to the man behind the curtain). All religions teach some sort of “right action.”

Needs. Look how far down the list we find “needs.” Is it any wonder so many of us have a hard time when it comes to “receiving”?

When you need help (for a health, spiritual, family, relationship, or financial matter) call the clergy.

Do you do that? If not, why not?

Don’t you believe that they’ll be there for you? Isn’t that one of their primary duties, beside getting to know who God is, studying, and healing people? The clergy is supposed to be there for you in your time of need. They exist in these roles to pray with you, instruct, and guide you in right action. They’re supposed to visit with you in your home if need be. They’re even supposed to offer you monetary support when you need it (though it’s likely they won’t pay your bills).

Did I miss anything?

I’d like this to be an open dialogue, so please comment of any rules I missed, or rules you feel you should follow that I haven’t mentioned.

As I’ve written before, an Omniscient LIMITLESS God, Creator, Source Energy can never be fully understood as that would be like trying to see every glint of sun on every wave in the ocean, and more—all at the same time.

I believe for every question there is an answer, but that those answers will not cover every question because there are limitless scenarios in which one could ask the same question, thus putting a different spin on the answer.

Christians believe Jesus will return, but then they don’t believe in reincarnation. And that sounds like a logic problem to me.

NOTE: I credit my beloved mother with the phrase, “fences of religion.” How can that be? Well, I woke up early the morning of Oct. 25th, 2018, after a dream I’d had of my mother (who’s part of the Grand Beyond). In the dream, mom inspired me (and has prodded me a few times since) to write this blog article. We’re all part of Omniscience, believe it or not. Omniscience isn’t a belief to me, it’s a knowing. And the more I connect and align to the essence of my soul, the more I feel the “realness” of that knowing. OM

Tear down the fences and love one another right now. ❤️🦋🌀

My take on New Thought

About New Thought

First, the back drop I’d like to set is that one of the things humans love to do is to make much ado about nothing. We love to categorize, label, and define things, which often leads to us complicating very simple things. We also love to feel in CONTROL, by controlling situations, or people, around us.

Humans love to Control
Humans love to Control

I love to find the wisdom within the simple things. I love to look at everything from a child’s point of view. I feel this helps keep my thoughts and energy balanced.

The main points

I’ve written previously that there are many names for God, whilst Omnipotence, Omniscience, Omnipresence is above and beyond and LIMITLESS of “naming.” To say that Omni-everything is a Deity (whether personal or impersonal) with any name, still sounds limiting to me.

Oneness works for the Omni-everything, but Divineness (to me) still implies some sort of inherent “goodness.” Omni-everything is ever-living, creating and destroying. If you can find the “goodness” in destruction, then perhaps we’re sharing the same stream of consciousness.

Laws

To strictly state that there is a “Law” of anything is something difficult for a child to understand. My six year old granddaughter knows when she touches something too hot, it can hurt her. Or if she drops something heavy on her toe, that it hurts. But she does not comprehend any kind of law, not even the law of gravity, much less the law of attraction. However, could there be any kind of laws, of course, though that concept seems man-made to me, so if you think Omni-everything dictates certain precepts or laws, you’re anthropomorphizing the LIMITLESS.

One may also suggest that LIMITLESS constructs the Universes according to certain laws. I’d rather suggest that LIMITLESS organizes Universes by design. Within art, there are no mistakes. Take whatever you think Perfection is, and find the imperfection. Find a way to love that.

Through the LIMITLESS Omni-everything, we are. We exist. We BE. Whether or not we’ve lived before, most surely we live NOW. And right now we are creating our reality through our thoughts, time, attention, intention, and way of BEing. For this, we are each responsible. We are choosing in every minute, by direct focus, or not.

Entangled

Whether we realize the impact of our actions, which stem from each and every thought we have, they effect others since, We Are All Connected. We reap from what each has planted. Thoughts beget actions. But always, there are ways for us to choose.

Some people choose not to live in a house divided, or in a county where too much control is exerted over them. They CHOOSE to leave. In this way, they are creating their own reality by choosing to make a better choice for them, in their NOW.

Even people in bondage can choose to control their thoughts and find freedom there. Those who do not feel they have any choice in their day to day, can meditate and find relief. No one can ever control  your thoughts. In your thoughts is where you can find total freedom.

Conditioning

A child would not know of, or necessarily be caught up in performing rituals or services, thus dogmas and religions wouldn’t be important. However, most children understand (by way of parental conditioning) that honoring their parents, or those that care for them, is important. I find a personal fulfillment in the honoring of my ancestors, if for no other reason than I would not be here in this life, physically, had it not been for them.

It matters not to me of which religion or dogma my ancestors believed, or practiced. I am still here. I am thinking it would be better somehow if I came to be here via the LOVE they expressed for one another, but I am mature enough to realize that is not the case for everyone. Some are born outside of, and apart from a loving experience, but that does not mean they cannot find love. And it certainly does not mean they are not worth of being loved.

Feel free

Children understand that truth, love, and compassion FEELS freeing. It does not feel good to be called names (even in a joking way), and it does not feel good to be excluded or neglected.

Children do not get all that caught up in whether they’ve lived before, or whether someone leaves their experience, as long as their present moment is nurturing and fun–full of new and continuing opportunities for BEing part of something, anything!

Therefore, the use of exclusionary words, such as “only” cause divisiveness.

When you limit anyone about anything with words such as “only” you are using control, or attempting to guide them in one direction. The Omni-everything allows. Control is an illusion, and one that is best let go of, if one prefers to FEEL free.

In freedom and love,

OM

We Are All Connected.

Many blessings to you in ALL ways. OM

Me too. Until now.

From Oprah’s historic speech

“I want all of the girls watching here now to know, that a new day is on the horizon. And when that new day finally dawns, it will be because of a lot of magnificent women, many of whom are right here in this room tonight, and some pretty phenomenal men, fighting hard to make sure that they become the leaders who take us to the time when nobody ever has to say, ‘me too’ again.” Energetically stated by, Oprah Winfrey, when she accepted the 2018 Cecil B. DeMille award during the Golden Globe Awards 2018. #GoldenGlobes

https://www.facebook.com/GoldenGlobes/videos/1884721461569863/

You know, every time I watch Oprah’s Golden Globe 2018 Cecil B. DeMille’s lifetime achievement award acceptance speech, I become so emotional. I understand that it’s not just because of the words within the so well-crafted speech that connects Oprah (along with us) back to her childhood, or even her captivating and powerful delivery. Yes, her speech builds up to a certain momentum–that’s true. But, Oprah uses this time, so elegantly, to teach us a grand history lesson about Recy Taylor and Rosa Parks. And to emphasize why that lesson is so important.

Definitions matter

While I understand that we may not always share the same word definitions, personally, yes, very personally and deep, Oprah’s speech resonates with me. Why? Because I have “been there.”

History of harassment

I have been in too many situations where I have been sexually harassed, intimidated, berated, held back from raises or promotions, mentally and physically abused, and more. And whether through ignorance, immaturity, or low self-esteem (low self worth), on some level, I allowed men (and even a few women) to belittle, bully, manipulate, or coerce me into doing things that—at least at the time—were not in my best interest and made me feel even worse about myself.

Inner Strength

Yes, you may think that I am strong. And many times I had to be strong. But I am sensitive, more serious than joyful, and quiet. I studied, prayed, and doggedly pulled myself through it all, (believing always with God’s help—even when I found myself in the most brazen of situations) because I had children to raise. And while I learned, forgave, and mustered through, there were times I faltered. There were times I got angry and stood up for myself and my children. But those times were rare, because it seemed there was always someone else standing near to be critical of my stance, not knowing (how could they?) of all the prior bullshit I had endured.

Only because of where I am now can I say, “Everything resolves to gratitude.

The end game

Because now, I get the end game. I’ve glimpsed the Great Beyond that awaits us all, where all of the tiny entanglements between us, all of the reasons, and nearly inconceivable intentions will be revealed!

I understand We Are All Connected, and that we are on a mysterious, yet marvelous journey in this life. That every little thing matters. That love, faith, gratitude, and joy are our rewards, and that we can experience them NOW.

The gratitude I carry with me today having come through all the chaos, does not mean I think it’s okay for abuse or bullying to occur, nor do I think it’s okay for anyone to remain in an abusive relationship. However, I know not everyone in an abusive relationship knows HOW to ask for help, or HOW to get out. I know that they may feel trapped.

Hope

More to my point though, is that I believe in hope, even if it’s only a glimmer, or only a fractal.

Take one step forward, then another. Hope. Ask. Share. Trust. Move forward with faith that you can heal, and that you can be free.

As my wise sister-in-law has taught me, “never let anyone steal your joy.” And there is always something to be joyful about, even if it’s only breath!

Live while you’re alive! Do things with people who fascinate you! Dream big!

Focus

Only you see life through your eyes. Only you can decide what’s right for you.

To those who do not like Oprah, or do not understand her speech, it’s probably because you have not been through hell, or not the kind she spoke about.

I would encourage you to refrain from judging her speech on snippets, pundits remarks, or whatever political motivations you might think she has, etc. because for some people (like me), her speech was so vindicating and liberating that we may never be the same!

Be IN Joy

I’ve been waiting a lifetime to hear it! And I am not alone. So, please, don’t steal our joy!

Thank you, Oprah!

Here’s to the many who will be empowered to say, “Me too. Until now.”

Be the person your Soul knows you are!

Namaste. OM

Got Problems? Opposites Attract

Law of Attraction

Why does it seem that opposites attract? Takers take too much from givers. Givers give too much and become drained, or sick. Energy vampires SUCK!

Dear one, oh sweet empath — they are drawn to you for your light.
For the healing energy of the light.
Just allow them to come.
Allow them to heal.
They will only take the frequencies they need.
They cannot take too much.
They cannot take your higher vibrations because they are not ready for them – they are not a match – no parity.
Keep refilling yourself from the light.
You will be gifted with higher frequencies as you see not what is seemingly being taken from you.
As they cannot take from you, that which you do not have. And you have a never ending, unceasing Limitless supply!

Remember some are larger magnets

Why does it seem that opposites attract? Doesn’t like attract like?
The Universe conspires to order. To balance the energies.
Perhaps it is the strength of the energies that matter?
Example of alignment opposites attract.png
WARNING — You may not want to hear this! — WARNING
In everyday scenarios we explain it thusly —
The narcissist is drawn to the empath’s light. Like a moth to the flame.
Allow them to receive the light from you that no other will give to them.
THEY actually know the truth. The truth about dualism and illusion that you fail to see. It’s all about them!
But you are hurt because you do not know that it’s also all about you!
So, you stay in your hurt place, stagnant and seemingly disconnected.
That is YOUR choice.
But separation is illusion. Even if you can’t realize it yet, We Are All Connected.
Yin and Yang.
We are here to achieve balance.
This is why you, my dear and loving hearts, always attract the assholes, liars, thieves, energy vampires, wacky, crazy, bitchy, mean-spirited, which all boil down to the fact that these people are HURTING / suffering. And here they are at your door, looking to you to heal them, help them, make them whole.
Yet, you choose to turn away.
You can.
It’s okay.
But you’ll continue to get more of the same, until you clean up your vibrations.

The point

Oh! Dear ones, you are missing a very big point.
You attract your like kind too, so that you can recharge. But is it not better to come directly to the Limitless, Ever-Living, Filling-All-Space, Creator, Source Energy — the ONE?
Hurt people aren’t of the frequency match to come to Creator.
You are their “step-up”! Perhaps you’ve heard of Jacob’s ladder?
Step up.
Step up.
Know that all of your hurt is needless. It only separates.
Know that all of your frustration is pointless. It only leads to ill health, pain, suffering.
And pain begets pain.

Focus

All you need focus on is what unifies.
All you need focus on is what uplifts.
All you need focus on is what builds.
All you need focus on is LOVE. Unconditional LOVE.
We told you this in the Be-attitudes and other ancient books.

Just BE

Be still and know.
Love for ALL.
Limitless LOVE.
Love can never die. Love has always has been. And always will be.
You can transmute all disparate energies with LOVE.
Be still and know.
Omnipresence.
Omnipotence.
Omniscient.
Omni-everything.
Yes! OM I-everything.
OM
Look at how many of your common words contain the OM to bring you back hOMe: wOMan, mOM, abdOMen, accOModate, accOMplish, anatOMy, bloOM, cOMpany, cOMpass, and so on.

Who taught us to be right?

Who taught us right from wrong?

When we are born as babies we only really know how to FEEL. We cry when we don’t feel good.

So, it may seem like an odd question to ask, but as we grow older it seems that we come upon this “need to be right” and that it’s actually more important for us to “be right” about anything, any topic, than it is to FEEL good. But, why?

Observations of a baby

Returning to the observation of a baby. An infant does not know right from wrong. In any sense of that. A newborn can’t talk, or do much of anything except cry when he or she doesn’t feel good. It will cry when it’s wet or dirty in the diaper. It will cry when it’s hungry. It will cry if it has pain in it’s tiny body. It can sleep, once it gets tired enough, in any situation–not even a lot of noise or a wrong bodily position can keep it from sleeping. Any parent can witness that.

Who taught us right from wrong?
Who taught us right from wrong?

Defending our side

So, why is it that as children, most definitely as teenagers and nearly all the time as adults, we will argue and fight to the nth degree when we believe we’re right about something. We’ll fuss with our parents–and go out of our way to challenge them. Argue with our friends–even the ones we like most. Contradict our beloveds. Fight with nearly anyone whose truth differs from our own.

I believe it’s because at some point, perhaps little by little, without much conscious awareness–we’re taught that it’s better to be right, than to feel good.

Human condition

And therein lies one our basic human dilemmas. And I believe one of the biggest tangles that we need to unravel (overcome), if we want to be healthy and live a peaceful life.

Examples

Someone I met (the week of April 11, 2017) mentioned to me that there’s an “aspect of ourselves” that feels bad/guilty, in his opinion after one is “born again” as a Christian, after they do something wrong.

Following that conversation, just a few days later, I met another lady (from India) who believes this aspect of internal knowing is in ALL of us. Going so far to say that her mother had told her and her siblings when they were small, that when they did something wrong they didn’t need to come and confess to her, because she said they would have to deal with their wrongdoing INSIDE of themselves! Yes, that they would certainly feel bad, maybe not immediately, but soon–all within themselves, no punishment from her or their father required!

About this same time, I began learning from Lama Nicholas Packard that we come sort of pre-packaged with virtue. We are all inherently GOOD! Aha! Our virtue may have been squashed in various ways while we were young, but we know deep within ourselves what is right.

In conclusion

I believe the Divine Spark lives inside each of us. We know “the right thing to do”, or the “right way to treat others”, though obviously, some people choose to fight, or hide from that knowing. Ah, the hiding in the Garden of Eden! Maybe, just perhaps, that was the hiding that we were being told about–not an actual bodily nakedness, but a spirit / soul hiding!

What do you think?

The Reconnected Friendship Quilt — A Christmas Story

There once was a friend (me) who let down another friend. At the time, I doubt that I had much of an idea how much I had upset the apple cart of the friendship, but thankfully, a few weeks ago, it was brought to my attention, and I was given a beautiful opportunity to genuinely apologize and heal a past hurt. And I hope, and believe it was, a beautiful healing experience for us both.

Now, for the story…

A few months ago, I saw a picture on Facebook of a wall hanging quilt that a distanced, long-time friend of mine had created. The colors and energetic patterns within each hand-sewn square really pulled me in. And though we had not talked in years, except for a few minutes at her niece’s Celebration of Life memorial service (over a year ago), well, this quilt resonated so much with me that I jumped to ask her about it! And perhaps boldly of me, I asked if she might craft a King size quilt like it for me!

Patties wall hanging quilt.jpg

I loved it! The colors, pattern, and workmanship was outstanding! To my joy, she agreed to make a King size quilt for my husband and I, but not like the one I had seen, because of the size. The quilt I had commented on was much smaller (only a wall hanging).

However, that was a good thing because it meant we would get to chat a number of times about colors, design, and so forth. I took some measurements of our bed, and asked my husband too, about colors, design, and so forth.

We did all of our chats via Facebook. This might not sound like an important aspect of the story, but trust me, it is.

I wanted a King size version of mostly brown, blue, and green–in a Native American kind of design. It didn’t have to be traditional. In fact, I would have been happy with anything–as long as Pattie made it.

Our Christmas Star.JPG

I told Pattie that I’d cherish the quilt for years to come. What she didn’t know was that in the last ten years or so, I’ve learned that mostly only the things people have given to me, or that were personally made for me, hold any kind of special emotional attachment. Other things are nice, pretty, useful, etc. but if they all went away, the only ones I’d miss, are the few that were given to me by family that didn’t give often, or were from my home state or town, or were handmade. And living in an RV for the last seven years, I’ve had to be quite discerning over size, weight, and quantity of items I chose to keep and hold dear.

All the while Pattie and I chatted about the quilt on Facebook, I didn’t know that our friendship was kind of mending too! There was healing occurring. And that’s always a good thing.

Also, at the time I commissioned this work, I had not considered how I’d get it, whether she would ship it, or I’d pick it up, etc. I certainly hadn’t given any thought to having the opportunity to meet in person, with some time to visit and enjoy a beautiful lunch!

Closeup.JPG

So, when Pattie was done with the quilt, I asked her if we could meet halfway, instead of her shipping it. That way, she could get to know my husband too, and we could have a nice lunch, somewhere midway from where we live (since we live about three hours from each other). She agreed. We talked about where we would meet. Finalizing on our plans, we set a date and time.

When the day arrived, we texted to make sure we were each on our way. I was super excited to be able to hang out with Pattie, catch up, and of course, receive our quilt.

We met at an eastern European bistro restaurant that we love. We shared some different and unique foods, and had plenty of time to relieve some of our past, share how my husband and I met, and so forth. And then came the question I had not expected.

I had not remembered or probably fully ever realized or known why we had quit talking. Thankfully, Pattie refreshed my memory, so that I had the opportunity to apologize. We held hands and tears flowed. Cleansing. Forgiveness. Allowing. I am so glad we had this time. Not just to relieve past hurts, but to understand. To process the pain that had been caused, and to allow the hurt to shift (even if only a little bit), so that over the coming days and weeks, we could “let it go.”

I know that for many of us, taking the time to be heard, to ask what’s wrong, or tell another what’s wrong, ask for forgiveness, or forgive, can be the hardest thing to do. But God, it’s so worth it!

And chatting via Facebook or text doesn’t communicate all of our emotions, plus, as we all know it doesn’t allow us to exchange vibrational energy.

I’m not perfect. I’ve made my share of mistakes in my life and I own each one, taking full responsibility.

But yesterday is gone. And today is all we have. I’m not just saying this in a philosophical way, but in a real time, honest-to-goodness, way. The person I am today is different than I used to be. I feel more deeply. I love more generously. And when I need to, I discern and draw better boundaries. But mostly, I am more open to receive.

So, this Christmas, I wanted to take this moment to tell those who have been in my life how very special they are to me. You are loved. You are cherished. You make up the tapestry of my life, because you’ve been in so many of my experiences. We may live far apart. Or we may not talk often. But you make me who I am.

You are worthy. You are loved.

Our unique experiences are each a thread within a tapestry, or quilt, of one’s life. And We Are All Connected.

Quilt with sock monkey.JPG

Note the sock monkey on the bed! He was handmade for me when I was born by a dear family friend–and he has went everywhere with me, every move, of which there have been many.

A few folks who have seen this quilt have commented of Pattie’s exquisite precision sewing and design work. So much so, that one gentlemen has already put in an order for a similar quilt.Binding and thickness.JPG

I should also add that this quilt is oh so very comfortable to sleep under! It’s not too thick like a comforter, so in Florida we can use it all year.

I only quilt with words. My husband quilts with music. But my friend Pattie quilts with fabric & thread and turns memories and forgiveness into tangible ‘heart-work’ that can (and in our case, will) last for generations.

May you be blessed for 2017 and always, in All ways.
