I’ve completed the Barn sketch!

I have completed my most ambitious sketch yet! It is of my husband’s old pen and ink barn artwork. I must correct my previous post about it though. I’d thought it was of a barn that had been on his parent’s farm, but Richard said it was Mr. Hampton’s barn — near Richard’s old home place. Good enough.

The girls all went back to school this Monday, and one of the back yard trees has already started to get golden leaves, so summer is over I guess. Shoot. I didn’t get to do near enough outside this summer. At least, the ground is still warm enough I can get my bare feet on the grass. I’ve been doing some of my Moves Method videos out in the back yard and THAT feels great, so I’ve gotta simply BE happy with that, and enjoy the quiet of Fall and Winter here in New England.

The old barn

I enjoyed this, though it took me several days. Granted, I was in nerve pain through it all, so there’s that. I had NO IDEA how this would turn out, or even IF it would turn out!

Completed sketch of the barn. Richard’s art (left) and my version (right). I did stop short of filling in all the grass in the foreground, as it would take up too much of my marker ink. And I thought that using a black oil pastel would detract from it overall. –Sheila Murrey
Completed sketch of the barn. Richard has complimented me many times on this. He really liked how the stacks of wood turned out on the little wagon! I can’t begin to describe how that feels. He thought me leaving the grass out makes it look more like snow in the foreground. Maybe! –Sheila Murrey

Moves Method

My new venture, mobility training with Moves Method is going well. I’ve had over a thousand views on some of the shorts for it via my YouTube channel and the TikTok shorts are gaining a lot of attention too –here’s the most recent short: https://youtube.com/shorts/vtTQnmG6ptk?si=7yEnouTEOu3XRJcS I’ve figured out a pretty good way to create a short ONCE on TikTok (even using “creator” type templates, then simply forward that video to Instagram (and Facebook). Sort of a cascading method of sharing, which saves me time and makes me feel techie all over again! Ha! More of a plan coming together, I guess you could say.

Prayers for Nepal

Continuing to pray for the people in Nepal. I have not been looking at the photos from Nepal. It’s enough for me to know what’s happened. I am not “hiding my head in the sand” either, I just feel that continuing to offer prayer is the highest and best I can do for them at this time, versus filling my mind with pictures of devastation. I’m also beginning to think I should apply that same idea to other negative/sad subjects.

Have you ever made Tepache? Life advice from Dolly, and Barn sketch in progress

I was shocked but not really sad about Dolly’s passing the other day, and Tim Curry’s passing. I think that’s because I simply don’t get that sad anymore about anything. So, not to worry, the rest of this post is going to be kept lighthearted. I’ll get into making a new fermented drink from Mexico, new job (that’s a joy), and show you a new sketch (in progress that I’ve been working on) the model of which, is my husband’s old pen and ink artwork. It’s an image of a barn that had been on his parent’s farm for years.

Good interview of Dolly with Reese: https://youtu.be/kuWmJjd0J7o?si=A9kzRlkv_EB3kuNY

I’ve been busy sketching, doing mobility training, checking in on our twin granddaughters during the days when both their parents are working and the eldest is over at her boyfriend’s house. Thus, I have been staying busy, though I enjoy my quiet times too–after all I am retired. Ha!

A few days ago I was asked to take part in a new venture, one that I had already been doing a lot of–sharing about the Moves Method on my YouTube channel –here’s the short from Day 1: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/NZ_ihXF9sb0 so you can see what I’m doing. And this will get you started if you want to join me. I’m also posting on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok! I’m super excited about this because I will actually get paid on any sales that come through my link!!! And I get to learn a LOT more about the program for myself, as well as, how to be a REAL social media influencer on TikTok, Instagram, and so on, which is all knowledge I can use to help me promote our original music and artwork. So, it’s a win-win situation all the way around for us. And “I LOVE IT when a plan comes together” as the movie line goes! Haha!

The old barn

This is taking some time, but I am enjoying it.

I’m a little farther along now, but this was how it looked when I began. I used a light brown pencil to rough it out. I’ll show a couple more steps in my next post. –Sheila Murrey

Tepache

My master herbalist friend is from Mexico and she makes a fermented pineapple drink called, Tepache. She did a little tutorial of how to make it (in the free group she and her husband run on the Skool platform–you can join if you want to). I’ll add the link in a moment. Anyway, I made this last week and it turned out to be delicious and very good for my gut! I have been eating a LOT more fermented foods this week too. All in an effort to heal my gut, whether I actually have “leaky gut” or not. Here’s a couple of photos and link to Christina and Michael’s Skool group: https://www.skool.com/herbalcottage/

Prayers for the people in Nepal. My qigong/dao teacher and healer, Lama Nicholas Packard used to live there for about 20 years. He’s passed now too, but I always think of him when I hear anything about Nepal. I also think of my friend Maria (in Florida) who travels to Nepal often. The people we’re connected to in this life make it special, don’t they. I don’t know what life would be like without them. But I know they would not want us to be sad.

‘Thrive in 25’ – Facebook and Instagram (Meta) needs to reinstate accounts

I’ll keep this relatively short, since I got a new job a day after my birthday… I don’t often post about specific dates, or change them a bit, due to scammers and hackers. It’s a thing after working in Information Technology for about 35 years. But I wanted to take a moment to speak about this whole Mark Zuckerberg thing. He says his company, Meta, has let the fact-checkers go and sort of apologized for allowing the Biden Administration to bully him and his employees into “following the narrative” during COVID and censoring (ahem, ‘slowing’) the stream of posts that were deemed ‘misinformation’ or ‘disinformation.’ Time will tell if he’s serious about upholding Free Speech. (Call me skeptical.)

Screen capture from an email I received from Children’s Health Defense. This is the group/org Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. was head of, but now, since he’s supposed to be President Trump’s Health and Human Services Secretary (HHS), he’s stepped down from CHD.

My new job

I couldn’t be happier! Yes, my birthday was good. But it was quiet. Our twin granddaughters were sick that day, and for a few days after, so no party for me. At first, I felt a little let down. But that feeling didn’t last too long–really! I made a conscious choice to chalk it up to ‘just another day’ and look forward to the gift my dear husband had ordered–it was supposed to arrive on my birthday or the following day. It didn’t. So, spiraling around again, I chose to let it be ‘what it is/was’. I was NOT going to drop into pity.

We used to celebrate each of our birthday by going out to a really nice restaurant, a special one that was too expensive to go to often. We did that every year, for YEARS. I emphasize that to say that I knew that probably wouldn’t happen after we moved from Florida. Mostly due to the weather here in the northern part of the USA. It’s too cold to walk outside. At least, for now, that’s my perception. And we didn’t want my daughter to have to take us to a restaurant etc. leaving our granddaughters at home. Plus, she’d just got done working a full week since her boss was out of town, yada yada. I just didn’t want to ask.

So, my daughter came over and visited with us. And wished me a happy birthday. And really, after so many years of not getting to be present with her in person on my birthday, THAT was beautiful. And should have been enough for me. Later that evening, our eldest granddaughter, she’s 13 years old, came over and also wished me happy birthday. She visited for more than an hour too, which for anyone who has teenagers knows, THAT was incredible! When she hugged me I told her, “You made my day”! And she did. That was true. Still, for the next day or two, I felt underwhelmed. I must be really spoiled, I thought to myself. I am grateful I still have my husband. I went to take a sauna and simply be thankful I have it to help me relax, meditate, and feel better.

I decided to order pizza for all of us (we live next door to each other), in lieu of going out to the fancy restaurant. But my daughter decided to split the bill with me! Aww! Even my son-in-law mentioned to her that night, “So, it’s your mom’s birthday, and she bought the pizza?” Then my daughter told him she’d split the check with me. Plus, she had to go pick it up. And we didn’t need any cake or such. We’re trying to release excess weight anyway. So no worries regarding that!

Spiral thought: Maybe my mood was a bit low because we returned to a vegan diet after Christmas. Not just a New Year’s resolution, but a return to the way we ate in 2008, with the exception that we’ll cook our meals–we’d went ‘high raw’ back in 2008 and while we enjoyed it, it was a lot of work and wasn’t sustainable for us long term.

Within a couple days of my birthday, a gentleman reached out to me via email and I nearly thought it was spam and deleted the message because it didn’t have a signature line or give me any reference or context as to what it was about! It simply said he’d had some insight at 3 AM and wanted to know if I had some time to discuss it! I decided, “What the heck?” and replied, “Okay”! All this to say, I think I needed that LOW feeling in order to prompt me to take a chance on a phone call with a stranger! Ha! I’d also been chatting on WhatsApp with my Bruce Lipton group (about 24 people, not all of whom I know), and had recently joined Aaron Abke’s 4D University group, where I’ve been fairly active, reading posts and commenting. I assumed this was a man from one of these two groups. NOPE!

I’d forgotten but I had filled out a form to volunteer my time with a new health initiative. It seemed ‘right up my alley.’ Turns out, it is! And after our pleasant phone conversation, he offered me a job! We ended with a prayer and I was on FIRE! I lit up with Energy and began researching and drafting out a presentation (still not really knowing what I was doing), to send back to my new boss and ask if I was grasping the concepts we’d discussed.

I ‘worked’ several hours on this presentation. He loved the first draft and sounds very grateful for my help. We have our first Zoom call tomorrow, so I’ll know more after that. But suffice to say, any and all ‘down’ feelings about my birthday, have completely subsided. They say, GOD WORKS IN MYSTERIOUS WAYS. And now, I believe it.

Everything happens for a reason in the multiverse with myriad sides to every story

Yes, Everything Happens for a Reason in the multiverse and Everything Resolves to Gratitude. Knowing that each of us (as fractals) uplifts my mind and allows me to view life as a lively kaleidoscope grand design that moves about in an ever-expanding, revolving, melodious, consciousness. Even if we have to disconnect from some people, for a time.

Enjoy (IN Joy) everything and love! Be Everything All the Time. Let’s THRIVE in ’25!

Yours in expanding, coexisting (because there’s more than one-side to every story), balancing, spiraling consciousness,
