September 16th – Paradise today

It’s September 16th, 2024; We have an original country song that features a melodious break, as well as some aWEsOMe guitar riffs. Bubba Hudson is back on vocals to sing of a post-apocalyptic story from a son’s perspective to his dad. A fitting song for what I’ll be talking about later in this post. This is a radio-ready song that one might say, offers a solemn warning, but Mother Nature shall recover. Gratitude for the beautiful production on this song from Steven Cooper’s music studio in Nashville, TN.

Here’s the two-hundred-sixtieth new music post for 2024, as I consistently bring a new original song to the forefront each day to feed inquiring minds.

I bought a couple of books today

He Was Weird by Michael D. LeFevre

Typically, I buy Kindle books, but Michael and I have been reading each other’s blogs (link to 80smetalman blog on WordPress) for quit a while; Michael writes a lot of music posts. Michael wrote the book, He Was Weird, about bullying. A subject that hits home for me, as I was bullied as a child. I have wanted to read this book for a while but kept putting it on the back burner (I have quite a few books I’m in the process of reading right now).

I ordered the paperback of He Was Weird today though, and will hand it down to my granddaughters when I’m done. I want to share it with them in hopes that it will help them understand that boys can get bullied too and how they might deal with it, or cope, should they meet someone in Michael’s shoes one day. I think every book helps us understand the world better. I am looking forward to receiving this paperback. I love connecting with other bloggers on WordPress and supporting each other as we write and market our books.

GOD in a backpack YOU

I met Lucia Herger a couple of weeks ago in the Be Awesome Network on Facebook (Interview #88). I knew right away that we ‘clicked’ and were ‘birds of a feather.’ So, I reached out to her for a Zoom call. It took us a few days to actually connect though, due to our schedules, and time zone difference, not to mention, tech challenges. Ha! Good old Technology. We love it, we hate it, but thankfully, it brings people together!

Lucia talks a LOT about how we’re all living in Paradis today, well, as she says, we’re living in Heaven on Earth. So, as I said earlier, it was fitting I speak about her book today, since I’m sharing our ‘Paradise today’ song.

Lucia and I both have a love for Omnipresent GOD and love talking about on this expanding and voluminous topic! I’m thrilled to support her by ordering her book, GOD in a backpack You. June 18th – It’s over my head

It’s June 18th, 2024; We have an original unique rock song written for heads made of clay. Richard wrote this rock song (music and lyrics) before he met me, but it suits me to a T. He’s told me many times that I’m “over his head.” He’s as profound as me though. I love the melody and guitar riffs on this song, and yes, it’s one of my favorites. Einstein Hawking way are one of my favorite lines. Bubba Hudson sings this with some emotion. A snappy, radio-ready, studio mix was done by Steven Cooper of Nashville, TN. 

Love life with no rehearsal

Here’s the one-hundred-seventieth new music post for 2024, as I consistently extrude a unique original song from Richard’s vast song catalog to educate and entertain the masses. But maybe, like The Why Files, we offer music for high IQ, critical thinkers!

I agree with Aldous Huxley in his statement, “Unlike the masses, intellectuals have a taste for rationality and interest in facts. Their critical habit of mind makes them resistant to the kind of propaganda that works so well on the majority.”

When Richard and I met for the first time in person (we’d met online and communicated for months first), we had set the date for drinks and I’d taken my two doggies with me. Our date lasted for 4 hours! I think that’s because we are both deep and critical thinkers. Our server had been working on becoming a vet tech and she made us go get my dogs out of the car, walk, and feed them because she was so worried (though it was a cool and rainy day and they were very used to traveling with me). I took them along because it had been a drive to get to our meeting spot and so they could be my excuse to leave had the date went south. LOL

I recall few times in my life where I’ve felt the ping of jealousy. I think my mom did a wonderful job of raising me not to be jealous. I also think I’ve worked on myself a lot over the years to let go of anything I was afraid to lose. Hold on loosely has been my motto since I first heard that song as a teenager. Even as an only child, I was taught to share.

Memories of promises

I try not to make promises, especially if there’s any doubt at all I can keep them. My mom never liked it when my dad would promise to take me somewhere and then forget. So, she taught me to avoid making promises to my children. Mom would say, “We’ll try,” whenever I’d ask to go somewhere or do something. And most often she would follow through.
