How we can expand our consciousness during cancel culture?
Whenever I pop on YouTube or open my emails, I read where one or more of my favorite public figures are either being canceled, demonetized, or experiencing some other form of censorship.
I hope you will comment and let me know what you’re currently watching, as I am feeling like a LOT of great independent journalists, health educators, and political pundits are leaving (or being kicked off) social media, and I find it disturbing. Thus, I am putting this out to you to figure out if my perceptions are accurate.

Dan McDonald—Life Regenerator got de-platformed. But I’ve learned much from ‘Dan the man’ over the years I’ve followed him and I’ve had personal diet consultations with him as well. He’s the real deal and I admire his grit. He pulled himself up by the bootstraps and worked on his own recovery and family relationships.
Russell Brand’s been demonetized. But thankfully, he’s continuing to make videos. I have followed him on Rumble, when he has to limit his time/choice of words on YouTube–but of course I love his YouTube channel because it’s easier and works on our Samsung TV (we can’t get to other internet sites on this TV–some ‘smart TV’ huh?).
Dr. Mercola had bank accounts frozen at Chase. And it wasn’t bad enough that Dr. Mercola had his account frozen but so did several of his staff. As if hurricane Ian wasn’t bad enough for this group! UGH
Now, you may say you don’t like what these folks have to say. And that’ okay. But I believe in FREEDOM and that we can learn something from everyone–sometimes we learn things that align for us and sometimes we learn how to understand those who disagree with us feel. But I believe ALL have value.
Robyn Openshaw—The Green Smoothie Girl has had employees quit and she’s been knocked off Facebook and other platforms as well, while she’s been speaking her Health Freedom truths. Again, I’ve followed Robyn for years and believe she’s a solid individual with a whole LOT to offer the public. Dethroning her is a real injustice to anyone looking to heal their body with nutrition, whether going vegan or detoxifying. I do her detox at least once a year.

JK Rowling was canceled from Twitter awhile back. I don’t know if the kerfuffle is still going on about her or not. I never read any of her books, nor watched the Harry Potter movies, but I didn’t have a problem with her tweets or beliefs. She’s entitled to her opinion and I thought a lot of people wasted a lot of time talking about her for no reason. When will people learn they cannot change anyone? (Rhetorical question.)
Matt Damon also reportedly made an anti-LGBTQ+ remark or tweet and got canceled. Give him (and me) a break. TV and elsewhere
The ‘dirty dozen’ group of doctors and influencers who got a whole LOT right and saved many people’s lives during COVID. I suppose anyone who questions the narrative is going to be canceled that raises their head above the murky waters of Pharma propaganda. By the way, I am an investor in a new movie coming out called, Pharma. I hope many of you will see it.
Kanye West and Will Smith. Okay, Kanye may have lost his mind on a few things but he’s a heck of a business man. And what can I say about Will? One slap heard round the world and he’s taken to bat for it? I mean, most people thought it was a joke or staged anyway. These people are actors. I thought Chris Rock handled it well, at least he seemed to understand why Will got upset, though yes, the slap (if it was real) went too far. At least Will wasn’t embarrassed to take up for his wife and honor her feelings (even if she over reacted).
Roseanne–I will never agree with cancel culture throwing Roseanne off her own show that she created and made a lot of “nobody’s” RICH. Talk about ‘biting the hand that feeds”! Some people are real idiots. And yes, I know I dislike name-calling and labels. So, sue me. I’ve always said we’re all hypocrites and this is one where mine shows up. Roseanne and Russell brand are two of the smartest people I follow, oh, and Danica Patrick but she’s not been cancelled–yet.

I used to love scary movies when I was a teenager too! Thankfully, the urge to watch horror has passed, and my favorite movies at Halloween are Hocus Pocus (though admittedly, I am less of a fan now after hearing more about child trafficking, ugh), and Young Frankenstein–especially after seeing the live play a few years ago. I also used to love Rocky Horror Picture Show (and we owned the DVD), but sadly the whole trans movement has turned me off from it. I loved Curry and Meatloaf though the movie had some cruel minutes and undertones. All in this paragraph is just IMHO so take it or leave it.

Expanding consciousness ALL the time
Nearly every time I have turned around this week, there’s been something new happening to expand my consciousness. Thus, I felt compelled to write about it though next up was going to be my Halloween post and why I had scheduled the shared “Munchkins” post to come out today.
I don’t often schedule posts because our life is more random and serendipitous than planned or controlled. And I like that. It’s organic the way nature intends.

Expanding experiences
Spur of the moment my daughter invited me to participate in a Facebook “Fall Shopping” multi-vendor group. I had never done one before—she has done many. I thought, “What the heck, maybe I will pick up some new blog readers, even sell a book or two. I have never seen authors in any of those groups I have been in (as a customer) to support my daughter who sells Color Street nail polish strips and more. So, I asked the facilitator/moderator/rule maker queen, and she needed one more vendor (they always want 18). She had not had an author in a group before either. Win-win for expanding consciousness. Ha!
I first struggled to get 16 of my Facebook friends IN the group. Queen facilitator said newbies like me, must have 16-20 friends in the group—we had to keep checking who got in too and send her a screenshot. UGH I almost quit right then. But I had already paid my entrance fee.
We had to send a Messenger message to each friend asking if they wanted to join before sending them the link. She didn’t want us clicking the Invite button from the top of the group page (a Facebook feature). And as a writer, okay, but I also WORK! So, I scrambled the first day to fit all the invitations in between work tasks. More expansion occurred throughout with reconnecting with new and old friends. Some said yes though and even after I reminded them, they never joined. Not sure what happened.
The vendors had to post at pre-determined and scheduled times. Anytime within an hour time slot, three times a day. I missed the first one but thankfully queen facilitator let me post my intro post a couple hours later because my 16th person fell through and I had to quickly find another just prior to my first scheduled time. UGH Aggravation or expansion, I don’t know.
Facebook Group posts
I learned something new. I am now skilled at setting “scheduled posts” within a Facebook group. Yep! Consciousness expanded.
Creativity – I loved being so creative this week. I made new memes,
New Friends – Yes, I made new friends from within the group and some of my wonderful and kind soulie sisters, like Nikki (here’s her blog) stretched herself a bit too and joined just to support me and share all about how she carries Blue Eyes: Ethereal Messages of Connection around with her (I love that my book has comforted her or helped in any way—she’s such a solid person and so kind and loving).
Doing the work – for someone like me who works from home and doesn’t get out much, this group stretched me in all kinds of ways. I had to think fast, ask, follow through, follow directions, create, entice, and offer all of the other vendors support by way of commenting on each of their posts with a minimum of five words. Yep.
Odds and Ends
In the middle of things I managed to listen to this:

But lastly, I’ll mention the new song hubby wrote (and needed me to do a quick sing) so he could send it to the Nashville studio? Yep. Here it is:
And my work tasks picked up mid-week. We received an invite to lunch next week with longtime high school friend and his wife. It didn’t require much thought to request a couple hours off work and see if our favorite restaurant was good for them. We had the usual array of odd and end things to take care of but I felt I was handling the chaos better. Maybe my BrainTap headset device is helping me after all! Ha!
