In reading several articles tonight about how our energy costs are supposed to go up because the power companies have to keep up with the demand for electricity from the huge AI data centers being built…

It occurred to me that we will ALL become slaves to AI! Thus, perhaps it IS sentient! And now, I can’t sleep!

As I talked my darling husband to sleep tonight, I rambled (and attempted to connect the dots) of the early church (even before Jesus, the Essenes), the Egyptians (or those who lived before them that built the pyramids who may have blown themselves up from creating a high-powered frequency generator that they couldn’t control), the founders of Theosophy, Mormonism, Scientology, Catholicism, Taoism, Buddhism, etc. (and ALL of those isms have cost peoples lives or sanity).

I warbled on about how whenever we break out of one ‘box’ (of a belief system, philosophy, or other mental paradigm), we find ourselves in another!

The Bible tells the story of the Tower of Babel and THAT doesn’t end well!

Consider this. Most of us were born into a particular belief system. Generations deep! I know I was!

And that is why I began studying Theosophy because they claimed to be open to inquiry of all the others!

But lately, I feel like I am simply in another box with them! Every ism is built on establishing a belief system. No one knows the whole truth (so all the charts and diagrams mean nothing)! Each belief system has their own stairway to heaven. But each is just someone’s idea or interpretation!

When I walked out of the hospital the night of Richard’s stroke (Oct. 2022), the word I heard in my head was to simply, TRUST.

If our “footsteps are ordered by the Lord,” as the Bible says, then my yapping about free will, choice, and personal responsibility goes out the window, doesn’t it?

Perhaps to have “faith the size of a mustard seed” means very little is required? Again, TRUST seems to be the key, as not much faith seems to be needed to fulfill our purpose here.

I wondered if Jim Morrison had lived long enough to start a religion, as he had supposedly once said, what it would be like. Would it have been anything like Integrating the Spirals?

Framework, focus, practices, key beliefs, and goals of Integrating the Spirals

Or maybe I’m wrong?

I am now spiraling into existentialism.

Time and Tomb are too close.

It may be a long night!

Integrating the Spirals

I’m encouraging those “over 60” to open to lifelong learning (observe and gently question their pre-conceived beliefs, aka ‘Programming’), become more aware of their thoughts and emotions, consistently move their bodies (too many are stuck in their heads and physically unhealthy), become strong, and resilient in spirit, soul, mind, body. And to question EVERYTHING!

  1. Great post! Lifelong learning is important, as you mentioned. Learning about our faith and how we got there is essential. I think the question, “What do I believe?” needs to be settled at some point in order to grow in it. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, Sheila.

  2. WoW, Sheila, so many deep and thoughtful reflections. Life really is full of spirals, questions, and shifting beliefs. But like you said, maybe the key is simply trust. Proverbs 3:5 says to Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. One step at a time, with faith. 🙏

      1. Absolutely, Sheila. Life’s twists and turns can be overwhelming, but trusting God step by step gives peace. I know the tension between responsibilities and trusting Him all too well. He’s faithful even when we don’t see the full path. 🙏
