It snowed again yesterday, so I found some examples of calligraphy I wanted to try with the new fountain pen I bought for myself for Christmas. Yes, I am a slow starter, though I was excited about it when I purchased it. But I have had renewed interest in this art form for several months thanks to a fellow blogger.

A few examples

These are from the beginning, just after filling my fountain pen with ink:

Thank you to Gray Summers for the inspiration!

My husband decided to delete his art and music website

So, if you got multiple notifications, I apologize. I felt the need to remove the link to his website from many of my former blog articles.

Everything happens for a reason in the multiverse with myriad sides to every story

Yes, Everything Happens for a Reason in the multiverse and Everything Resolves to Gratitude. Knowing that each of us (as fractals) uplifts my mind and allows me to view life as a lively kaleidoscope grand design that moves about in an ever-expanding, revolving, melodious, consciousness. Even if we have to disconnect from some people, for a time.

Enjoy (IN Joy) everything and love! Be Everything All the Time. Let’s THRIVE in ’25!

Yours in expanding, coexisting (because there’s more than one-side to every story), balancing, spiraling consciousness,

All of our 400+ original songs are available for song placement in TV, film, games, etc. Video content creators, filmmakers, podcasters, production companies, deejays, Vloggers, YouTubers, and more can use our original music and songs in movies, TV shows, video intros, and such. We’re also seeking bands to play our songs. If you know of any up and coming musical artist, please forward this blog article to them.

  1. Really good to see you have begun the calligraphy journey Sheila. Looked up your pen make as I have never seen it before. Some great reviews regarding smoothness in writing. You can buy calligraphy practice writing pads with height guidelines on them. I’ve never used them as my calligraphy discipline isn’t great. I always free style for freedom. The art of actual calligraphy is really fun and a lot of very unusual artistry an be found.

I did read one review saying the ink in their pen nibs dried and difficult to write with. I experienced similar due to the exchangeable nib sizes, leaving them for weeks not used and not flushing with water after using each one. Also, India and China inks should not be used in fountain pens. They clog up the system and ruin the whole pen and nibs. India/China inks (used in the art of calligraphy) should only be used with dip nibs only. You can buy calligraphy dip nibs too. Once you see the amount of different types of nibs…….you could go mad for choice! Fude nibs, draughtsman nibs, etc. I bought loads off eBay.

Nice flow style you have here for your journey’s start Sheila. And thank you for the link inclusion to my blog site. Much appreciated. All the best.

    1. You’re right about all of this, I’m sure, Gray. I hope to change out the nib soon. I will be sure to flush it out and clean it well. I’m so curious about the other nibs. I plan to get a lot of use out of this pen and nibs before exploring further.

I have saved a couple of your posts to use as upcoming projects too! I always link to your site when crediting you about things—you’re most welcome! (I don’t know if you saw I nominated you for a Sunshine Award a while back, too?)

      1. Good idea to use the kit you have. In school days I used an Osmiroid fine italic nibbed fountain pen, so got used to writing with that nib on a daily basis and used it for decades afterwards too. So getting familiar with consistency is the way to go.

I never knew that you put me forward for that award. That was kind of you. So thank you.

Forgot to say that it’s a shame Richard stopped his sites. But can understand. Sometimes, or indeed most times, a fresh start feels the right way to go. Motivation is a strange affair. Can be motivation to logically see that change is needed either by finding new horizons for inspirational change of the current plans or simply pulling back from (or out of completely) and finding new avenues. These deep inherent feelings speak to us profoundly at times. Over the decades a life can lead to many changes in motivational directions.

        Cheers Sheila.

      2. I can understand Richard’s deleting website scenario. The Moonfruit photography site which took two years to build? I eventually deleted due to cost. A lot of views, but no comments. WordPress is far nicer with exchange. But I have no desire of purpose to increase WordPress subscriptions for either following others just to build numbers or having followers in their hundreds or thousands if it were possible. Go with the flow and just enjoy the site. If WP got out of hand? I would run away to be honest. I suppose introvert nature has to have a fine balance of what comes into one’s life. Too much is too fraught. Too little and the human genetic need for social contact screams out for attention.

Sorry that I missed this SBA Sheila. Been a bit more lax with catching every or most blog/blogs over this 2025 period. As said before, Frankie the intense cat has completely changed life dynamic. No time anymore. Never really knew fully what this award’s existence means. Same as I never have followed the daily prompt. I know the ‘prompt’ can give sustenance to thoughts in order to provide interesting and varied blog ideas. So a very good WP format. However. My life is pretty insular in its outlook with blog ideas and has a purpose built theme restricted circle of four or five interests. Written about in theme blocks, then abandoned. Even though life has been really, really interesting in very many career and hobby/interests choices, I have no visual recall (Aphantasia) anyway. So many memories are half baked. Or in reality, completely forgotten. No spirals akin to your wonderful enquiries into life. And no comparison to your written memories, which are rich and delightful reads.

All the best and cheers Sheila.

      3. Ah, after just writing my former comment to you, I see we were both thinking/considering thoughts about Prompts, but for totally different reasons! Ha! So funny.

Yes, I have hardly ever used WP prompts either, Gray. As for the SBA, I think it’s a way to honor fellow bloggers and introduce others to our favorites. But that’s my two cents. Perhaps it isn’t good for much else. I’m an introvert by nature too. I get lost in my own insularity.

I totally understand about Frankie fellow. Cats! Ha!

        Cheers back to you, Gray!
