I was thrilled to receive this acknowledgment a week or so ago from blogger pal and author friend, Dawn Pisturino over at: https://dawnpisturino.wordpress.com Thank you so much, Dawn!

I’ll link to Dawn’s books a little later in this post. And be on the lookout for the eleven Sunshine Blogger Award nominees I’ve posted too!

Sunshine Blogger

Sunshine Blogger Award

I was honestly surprised to receive this Sunshine Blogger Award because though my CB radio handle used to be ‘Sunshine Girl’ when I was young, and that I’ve lived in the Sunshine State of Florida for nearly 40 years… I don’t believe I spread much sunshine around in the blogosphere, though I do always attempt to entertain and educate those daring enough to read my posts.

My answers to Dawn’s questions

Part of being nominated for this Sunshine Blogger Award is to answer the questions offered by the nominating blogger, and then I have to nominate up to eleven other bloggers and give them some questions to answer too! So, the following are my short answers to the questions from Dawn:

  1. What’s your favorite pet? Why? We don’t have pets anymore but Beau and Lou-Lou were our favorites. See my previous posts: https://sheilamurrey.net/2013/07/21/lou-lou-and-beau-my-kids-with-fur/ and https://sheilamurrey.net/2015/11/01/beaus-eulogy/
  2. What’s your favorite food? Why? I love lamb (and yes, we even loved haggis when we were in Scotland–you can’t get it anywhere else!). But now that we’re vegans (again), I will say Newman’s Own, white pizza spinach, with mushrooms and black olives that I add.
  3. Do you like to cook? What’s your favorite dish to prepare? I like to cook but don’t always feel up to it, so Bean Vivo, Three Bean Chili is an easy meal to heat up.
  4. What kind of books do you like to read? Why? I read a LOT of non-fiction. To quote one of my favorite movie lines, “I like non fiction. There is so much to know about this world. I think you read something somebody just invented, waste of time.
  5. What TV shows do you watch? Why? We watch a lot of crime drama. Currently, we’re binge watching, Person of Interest with Jim Caviezel.
  6. What’s your favorite movie? Why? I have too many to list, but The Wizard of Oz is definitely in my top 5. It has an enduring story, Dorothy, fantastic dream sequence (or was it a dream?), great witches, and flying monkeys.
  7. Who’s your favorite actor? Why? Again, I have too many to list, so I’ll link to my Pinterest page: https://www.pinterest.com/spiralsister1/favorite-actors/
  8. What’s your favorite kind of music? Why? I’m too eclectic, but the first music I recall was Kenny Rogers and the First Edition, so we’ll go with Rock.
  9. What’s the most exotic place you’ve ever been? Cozumel.
  10. What’s your favorite exercise? Dancing. My daughter and I are going out dancing in two weeks and we’re going to try line-dancing and two-steppin’! I’m excited!
  11. What’s your favorite song? Why? The one my husband and I wrote together before we even started dating, Wonderin’. Here’s a link: https://youtu.be/AO9cFGRuxeA?si=XR5q9jSvR5opmUMe

About songwriting

Check out my husband’s YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/richardmurrey and specifically, any songs he put out before Feb. 2025. Go to Richard’s YouTube channel to hear all of his original songs. We counted again and he has written nearly 700 original songs!

Everything happens for a reason in the multiverse with myriad sides to every story

Yes, Everything Happens for a Reason in the multiverse and Everything Resolves to Gratitude. Knowing that each of us (as fractals) uplifts my mind and allows me to view life as a lively kaleidoscope grand design that moves about in an ever-expanding, revolving, melodious, consciousness. Even if we have to disconnect from some people, for a time.

Enjoy (IN Joy) everything and love! Be Everything All the Time. Let’s THRIVE in ’25!

Yours in expanding, coexisting (because there’s more than one-side to every story), balancing, spiraling consciousness,

Sheila “Spiral Sister” Murrey

About us

Richard and I play at the intersection of Energy, Spirituality, Health, and Music, to let FREEDOM ring for ALL! We’re down to earth (even if we are conspiracy theorists), yet not in the ground! We’re just dancing around in rhythm with the mystifying Multiverse… all humble like. But we’re always thinking, onward and upwards, so we keep exploring and creating!

My husband of 20 years, Richard Murrey, is an award-winning illustrator, plus he’s a seasoned guitarist, bass player, and songwriter (having penned nearly 600 original songs).

All of our 400+ original songs are available for song placement in TV, film, games, etc. Video content creators, filmmakers, podcasters, production companies, deejays, Vloggers, YouTubers, and more can use our original music and songs in movies, TV shows, video intros, and such. We’re also seeking bands to play our songs. If you know of any up and coming musical artist, please forward this blog article to them.

  1. That’s so sweet of you to share my books, Sheila! My husband and I are watching Person of Interest also. I didn’t like it at first, but it’s really good! You spread positivity through trying to help others. Cheers!

    1. Right, Dawn. I wasn’t sure about Person of Interest at first either though I love Caviezel. We really like the lady who plays Det. Carter and the ine who plays Shaw too. The who cast grows on you after awhile, including Harold and Fusco. I don’t know how far you are into it, so no spoilers. We are in Season 3 currently.

And it was my pleasure to share your books, Dawn. I wanted to keep them on my list to pick up the rest at some point. I just bought John Neff’s book and in the middle of reading several others.

  2. Congrats on your award. I enjoyed your Q&A… and something else in common. I doctor my frozen pizza’s with tomatoes, more cheese and other extras with a drizzle of olive oil and it’s as good as take-out. (I haven’t tried Newman’s Own white pizza, but you’re giving me ideas.) I’ll play! Thanks again. Debra

      1. It adds some moisture – and I love the taste of roasted tomatoes – I also sprinkle a bit of garlic powder. I’m glad you suggested the white pizza – I used to LOVE dominos white spinach pizza with feta. These days dominos specialty pizzas cost about $30. So, thanks back again.

      2. Oh, fun fact, my first boyfriend (who actually took me out on a date, to his sister’s wedding (with their dad chaperoning), worked at Domino’s and stopped on our way home and picked up a pizza for my mom because we were late getting me home! Ha! My mom thought it was the sweetest peace offering! I still got grounded though, as I recall.
We hardly ever had Domino’s after that.
My daughter and I both delivered pizzas. I worked for Pizza Hut and Papa John’s and my daughter worked for Papa John’s and some mom and pop place. Oh, the memories! Ha!

I will try the garlic powder too, I usually use the fresh minced kind.

      1. Yes we do…a prairie dog is the most interesting and curious pet I’ve ever had.
Oh I would like to ask you something! My wife wants me to ask also…have you ever heard of “Earthing”? It sounds up your alley since it is natural. We just watched a documentary called “The Earthing Movie”….about being grounded to earth. Walk barefoot and sleep while grounded…like something electrical. Have you ever heard of that?
