It’s December 30th, 2024; We’re down to our last couple of original songs to share… can you believe 2024 and this self-challenge is nearly DONE? WOW!!! Today’s song is one of our favorites. It features Adam Cunningham’s clear and rich vocals, and gives one a feeling of what it’s like to perform on stage. The song was inspired by Richard’s former live performance singing partner, Roy. Richard still talks about Roy Hood and all the shows they did together at Whiskey Creek in Bishop, CA–near Las Vegas, NV. They met Charlie Sheen, Demi Moore (when she was working on G.I. Jane), and others. Richard says that was some of the best years of his life (before me, that is.) Wink!

This is the three-hundred-sixty-fifth new music post for 2024! This original song was recorded and mixed by the fine folks at Beaird Music Group of Nashville, TN.  https://www.beairdmusicgroup.com

Show me to the stage. Music, lyrics, and video by Richard Murrey.

Tune up the guitars… setup the tip jar… shot of El Tesoro. How many songs got all this and a hat tip to George Strait?!? Love it! It’s on my dance break playlist.

Adam Cunningham does a bang up job on this original song! Why it wasn’t use on the amazing TV show, Yellowstone, I’ll never know! But we can hope that whatever’s next for Taylor Sheridan and the cast of Yellowstone, that one of our original songs will be part of it!

Balancing perspectives

Balancing perspectives is another new category I’m adding to this blog for 2025. We’ll see how it goes. The thought came to me while looking out our living/bedroom window with the new, somewhat mosaic, magnolia window decal on it. I bought this to cover the crack in the glass, and to add a bit more color to the main room. Yes, we have Richard’s artwork hanging on every wall, along with a couple of paintings (one done by me and one done by our daughter), but this design ‘spoke’ to me, so there’s that.

What a year it’s been

We’ve mostly adjusted to moving to New Hampshire, after living in Florida for nearly 40 years. But there are still things we haven’t seen yet, so we are looking forward to Spring. I want to take a train ride or two, and we may take a road trip this summer. I always consciously focus on the future, when saying goodbye to the past. And in the last 20 years or so, I’ve learned to ‘let stuff go’ with grace and ease with love and forgiveness attached!

President Jimmy Carter crossed over. I thought he was a good president, but I know some didn’t. It’s okay. He lived a good life though, and did so much in his later years with Habitat for Humanity. What a guy! This is a screen capture from the news I read this morning on 1440 news email. It’s the only news source I look at on a regular basis. We get most of our news from YouTubers. And most of those folks are in/near the places we’re we’re interested in and no mainstream media (MSM)!

Yes, I check an email each day to know what the Schumann Resonance is–here’s the link to subscribe if you’re interested in knowing this too! https://newsletter.disclosurenews.it/v6i3y5u6y3/2644436077372250832/b8v0/

Go figure! Glad the last four years are over. UGH!

Have you heard of Aaron Abke?

This is one of the new thought leaders I’m following, Aaron Abke. Have you heard of him? he’s doing something very much like what I’ve attempted to do with Integrating the Spirals, but since few have been interested in my ‘work,’ I figured I’d sit in on his meetings–at least he’s already gathered a like-minded tribe!

If you haven’t heard of Aaron, here’s how I found out about him:

And here’s his most recent email:

Everything happens for a reason in the multiverse and there are myriad sides to every story

Yes, Everything Happens for a Reason in the multiverse and Everything Resolves to Gratitude. Knowing that each of us (as fractals) uplifts my mind and allows me to view life as a lively kaleidoscope grand design that moves about in an ever-expanding, revolving, melodious, consciousness. Even if we have to disconnect from some people, for a time.

Enjoy (IN Joy) everything and love! Be Everything All the Time. Let’s soar in ’24! And let’s (are you ready for this?) THRIVE in ’25! or just be… Alive in ’25.

Yours in expanding, coexisting (because there’s more than one-side to every story), spiraling consciousness,

Sheila “Spiral Sister” Murrey

  1. I wish I was as prolific as your husband in writing songs…

It was really weird but I watched the Carter-Reagan debate of 1980…and the next day Carter passed away. The debate blew me away. The reporters asked intelligent questions that todays politicans would have stumbled and not answered. I thought…wow…America HAS dumbed down.
I was a kid when Carter was president…I liked him. Looking back I don’t think he done really well as president BUT he was probably the best human being ever in the office and I would rather be remembered for being a great human being than president.
I also think bad timing played a huge role with Carter’s 4 years… He was so honest in later interviews…he admitted that he wasn’t as open to people he didn’t know and it hurt him when dealing with Congress. He will be remembered as a great man.

    1. Thank you so much, Max! I agree that President Carter was a good man and kind soul. I sort of feel like God let him live so long so he could pay any debt he owed to society for his mistakes made as President. But that’s just my odd way of thinking. He said he worked so much with Habitat to right any wrongs. So, there’s that. I agree all of the Presidents have to make deals or concessions with Congress to accomplish anything. Bad timing? I don’t know. Maybe.
I would rather be remembered for being authentic too.

      1. Oh he was authentic…what I meant by bad timing was the Opec stuff and inflation…would it have happened anyway? The Iran hostages were another thing that really drove a wedge in it.
He did rehab his image completely…he was the first modern president…what I mean is he quoted Dylan and hung out with the Allman Brothers…the guy was hip.

  2. I’m going to miss all of these great songs, is there any way I can persuade you to carry on? I was anti- Carter while he was president but my feelings changed as I progressed in age. He tried his best for America but things were against him. My ex wife once watched a British documentary which claimed that there was evidence that the CIA secretly negotiated with the hostage takers to hold the hostages long enough to get Reagan elected. It’s just a thought.

    1. I will post a new video here and there as Richard creates them, and any new songs IF he writes anything new. But this daily music post self-challenge is done, Michael. I have really ignored other things, like reading your book and several others laying here, and doing new art (like the calligraphy with new fountain pen), and completing my 5th book (which was actually much more involved than I had initially thought it would be). Then, there’s art classes with my daughter and watching her twin girls whenever school is out, etc.
Your book is sure giving me insights as to how squirrelly kids are at school. All the taunting, fights, nasty teachers. Ugh!
I wish every kid could be home-schooled after reading the first half of He Was Weird!
Oh, and I now know why I got picked on in school. I sucked at sports!

      1. That’s all perfectly understandable, Sheila and I’m glad you’re enjoying the book. You do have a lot of activities to go on with and that’s amazing. One question, have you read the chapter where everything went right for Mark? If so, what are your thoughts?

      1. That is a pretty good summation. My left leanings back in the 80s had me thinking that the true rulers of the world, the military industrial complex, put Carter into office and them pulled the rug out from under him to show us mere mortals that the liberal ideals from the 60s didn’t work in reality.
