Yellowstone
Baby don’t charge me for the last five episodes of Yellowstone. Ha! I want to send THAT message to Paramount Plus! We’re totally hooked on Yellowstone, having previously watched 1883 and 1923, from Taylor Sheridan. Amazing! We actually liked 1883 and 1923 better than Yellowstone, but I won’t split hairs. Ha!
I watched the video about who Taylor Sheridan is and how he got his start (the video is on IMDB under Videos at the Yellowstone link) and he’s quite the amazing guy! We love his style of storytelling and writing. And he’s an exceptional director and producer too! I couldn’t believe who he was (as we didn’t know it was him on horseback doing the fancy horse riding stuff – ‘Western Reining’), as we watched all 5 seasons of Yellowstone. Oh my goodness! And Richard, when I told him who Taylor was, remembered him as the sniper on Lioness too!

Fun fact: Richard wrote a song called, Meaner than Evil (I wrote about it previously: August 6th – Meaner than Evil) and Yellowstone had one episode called, Meaner than Evil! WOW! We sure would have wished they would have found our song by doing a title search on BMI. Maybe we can get a love song into whatever the new show they’re going to do for Beth and Rip (I mean, Kelly and Cole).

Oh, so that’s why they are charging us (or trying to) for the last several episodes of Yellowstone because we are watching it 1st half of season 5 on Paramount plus. Ugh. My daughter was just trying to explain that to us. They waited two years between the first and second halves of season 5. So confusing!

Yeah, I’m mad about what they’re doing with part 2. They’re only showing it on the regular Paramount channel. I’m not going to pay for that, so I’ll wait until they release it on Peacock since they own the rights now. The Lioness is awesome. We just finished the second season.

That’s what is confusing because we get Paramount plus free through Amazon Prime but it only allowed us to see the first half of season 5.
I hear you about Lioness though my husband doubts they (our military) really has that type of program or any women would do it. The first season was so out there, regarding the training of the lioness. I don’t know. I know service members have died during basic training so it makes me wonder.

The producers based that “special program” on the Cultural Support Teams (CSTs). These teams consist of female Soldiers trained to support special operations forces. They were active in Iraq and Afghanistan due to the religious sensitivities in those countries regarding women. Male Soldiers handling Iraqi and Afghan women? No bueno. So, they created CSTs. If you watch the movie The Old Guard with Charlize Theron, there’s a scene where they recruit a female Marine who was part of a CST. Some of these teams accomplished pretty amazing things in combat and earned awards for valor. Of course, The Lioness stretches the facts big time, but since they work for the “CIA,” who knows. 😀

Well, we haven’t seen it yet, Dawn, so no spoilers! Ha! My cousin almost told me how it ends earlier today! Ha!
My daughter thinks they will quit charging for the second half after the last live episode airs. But it sounds like some have already seen the last episode. I’m still confused! LOL
