It’s February 15th, 2024; This original is a song all about me! Haha! Blushing here. Oh, my goodness! Yes, this is one of several songs my husband wrote for me, and strongly hints at my name in the title and chorus. What a follow-up to Valentine’s Day, eh? There’s the expert saxophone of John Heinrich, vocals by our wonderful Bubba Hudson, and a vibrant production mix by Steven Cooper, Nashville, TN.

A snappy jazzy song

Here’s the forty-sixth new music post for 2024, as we carry on consistently with our one-a-day song share for the year. Let us know what you think about this snappy tune! It’s got a powerful sax riff in the bridge and an uptempo beat for dancing–one of my favorite things to do!

Ooh-la-la, yes!

What is ooh-la-la anyway? Haha! I think it’s nearly inexplicable. Much like how Richard and I met after both of us had nearly given up on love.

Cupid worked up a great romance of nearly twenty years for us though! Yes, this is a love song for sure. Am I lucky or what?

Whether you’re single or in a relationship, we hope you had a lovely Valentine’s Day everyone!

As for our Valentine’s Day, I bought my own chocolates (some small batch chocolates with caramel and sea salt that was at the cashier stand at Publix–which I almost never impulse buy at the checkout) and I had previously ordered but hadn’t eaten yet, freeze-dried strawberries dipped in chocolate from Kroger. For dinner, I fried up some fresh catfish for Richard. I had a few bites to taste it and make sure it was done though. The fish was good, but I’m not a catfish fan. I made a little Indian meal of lamb saag for myself with some naan bread. (We have both really been into the naan bread recently.) So, we had a simple, but lovely day as we both allowed our bodies to heal from the crud that’s been going around. Cough-cough! UGH

Speaking of strawberries, this was us back in 2017 at the big Strawberry Festival in Plant City, Florida. We’d gotten into the concert area early so I got a selfie pic of us with no one behind us. I think this was the last big concert we attended. I wrote yesterday of the Live performances we saw in 2019 when we went to Ireland, England, and Scotland on our Sacred Celtic Journey, but failed to mention that on our last day in Edinburgh, a jazz festival was going on (at the Grass Market where we’d stayed). We thoroughly enjoyed that as well. I must find some of those pictures to share!
