It’s January 27th, 2024; I love songs about ‘keeping the love’ if they say goodbye. No reason for bitterness. That only hurts YOU! As the song goes, “If you go, I don’t want to be the last to know.” Right! Communicate. Are you hearing me? “If you’ve found somebody new tell me straight and true.” Yep. Exactly. No surprises. I’ll still love you when you go.

Oh, what a concept! Let that person go. You can still continue to send them love–isn’t that what it’s all about? If you send them love, be sure to love yourself through the breakup. There are more than 8 billion people on the planet. Crying over the one lost person has always seemed silly to me–not that I take people for granted, NO! But don’t waste your tears (nor let your heart break) over someone who no longer cares for you!

An original country song

Here’s the twenty-seventh new music post for 2024, as I consistently present our original songs for you to enjoy (IN Joy) each day. After you give this a listen, let me know what you think in the comments.

The Last to Hear by Richard Murrey

Don’t cry for anyone (or anything) that can’t cry for you

My husband, Richard Murrey, has always told me not to cry for anything that can’t cry for me. I guess that’s a twist on the “don’t cry over spilled milk” thing, huh?

I hope you enjoy this original country song. Let us know. It’s got some age on it now, but some songs are timeless!

Here’s my latest meme. Maybe it fits the context of this article, or perhaps it’s a diversion. Ha!

Our newest song

I’m using an Apple Mac and am going to ‘take on’ the task of creating music videos for the new songs we write–if we develop any more. Here’s our newest song, Tell it to me:

Radio-ready songs

All the songs I’m sharing are radio-ready, sung by pro singers, and recorded by top music studios in Nashville, TN. We are songwriters currently based in Ocala, Florida. Scroll down for the Vimeo link in the About Us section of this post to see us perform one of our original songs.

May we all soar in ’24!

Find our songs on Spotify

It’s funny. Many of our original songs have been on CDBaby and TuneCore for years. Some of our songs are on Spotify at different locations. The key when you’re searching is to look for ‘Richard Murrey’ as the artist, OR ‘Chevy Ford Band.’ Let me know if that’s helpful. Here are a couple Spotify links if this helps:

Filmmakers, podcasters, deejays and so on can use our original music and songs in movies, TV shows, video intros, and such. I share this post on Tumblr (automatic feed from WordPress), Facebook, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest, Truth Social, Alignable, and Rumble. Links to all of these are at the end of this post.
All of our original songs are available at: Listen4Music.com

Sharing is caring! If any of our song videos (or posts) strike a chord with you, please share the post or the music video. We’re always grateful when you do.
