It’s January 15th, 2024; This original song, when I dream, takes a happy little guitar and lyrical stroll (alongside a sweet saxophone melody too) and offers us respite from the everyday. It lays out a wonderful place and dreamy space for us to relax, unwind, and love a special someone. It’s so beautiful when I dream and life is always good.
A pop song
Here’s the fifteenth new music post for 2024 as I aim to consistently offer our original songs to the public. This is a story of a man in love with a woman, from spending hours touching her face, dreaming perhaps, but enjoying the wonders of her. No fears chasing him, no drive for riches, but dreaming of a place to simply BE. When he dreams he commands space and time.
Have you been in love? Did it feel like a dream?
The gentleman in the song sings about his beloved, whether she’s real or someone he’s dreaming of, and his feelings of enjoying being in this state with her. A state of bliss. He sings of the luscious wonder of her. Have you been in love? Did it feel like a dream? That’s been my experience. It’s almost like an out-of-body experience at the height of blissful love.
Dreamy songs
I think dreamy songs can settle us and put our minds at ease. In fact, last night my cousin’s wife reached out to me with a poem my cousin wrote to her about the very state of loving bliss this song describes. We’re going to work on getting some music together and work out the phrasing to record a song just for her. She’s not sure she will want it to go public, as the poem is very intimate to her–not that it gives away specific details other than their length of time together, but it is their unique love story, thus we will honor both of them by keeping it under wraps.
I never thought about offering to take loved ones’ poems and turning them into songs, but now that I am retired and we have more time, we’re going to do it this once and see how it goes. If anyone is thinking about having a song commissioned, let me know in the comments or write to me at my email found later in this article. I love that we have the time and ability to do this and bring comfort to others.
