It’s May 2nd, 2024; Here’s an original country song of ours about a girl that gets around. I don’t think the lyrics are about a girl driving around town though. Ha!. We were thrilled with the elegant production mix (including piano) on this demo by Steven Cooper, Nashville, TN.

Spiral thought: I always find it amusing, nod to Dr. Longo of Old World Florida, how many of us enlightened ones (someone told me the other day they thought I was in 5D), still operate from a highly-charged ego, and are too quick to judge others as being all up in their ego! Calm down. Don’t be the pot calling the kettle black. Most of us are too hard on ourselves and need not take ourselves sooo seriously! Ha!

It’s May 1st, 2024; Here’s an original country duet song about raising a family. This was one of several songs Richard wrote to honor his mom and dad. April 30th – E.T. Blues

It’s April 30th, 2024; Here’s an original rock song about extraterrestrials! Yes, go figure. A song about E.T. makes sense from a couple who used to work for the Space Center, eh? Haha! We’ve got the E.T. Blues indeed. Humorous lyrics and a swingin’ sound. What could be better! And we even get a tad political in this one too. LOL! This is another one of my favorite songs. With vocals from Bubba Hudson and a superb production mix (including sax) by Steven Cooper, Nashville, TN.

It’s April 29th, 2024; Here’s an original rock song about Energy! Would you call this hard rock or metal? Michael from 80smetalman or Gray Summers can tell me. Yes, we all need and use energy and this is Richard’s ode to all that is the energy that sustains us. This is one of my favorite songs! It’s got solid vocals from Bubba Hudson and a hot production mix by Steven Cooper, Nashville, TN. 

Deserves a space in movies

Here’s the one-hundred-twentieth new music post for 2024, as I consistently push our original songs out into the ether. Yes, The Fifth Element is a favorite movie and I believe songs like, Energy, certainly deserve a space and place in a film like that. Someone has to be making a movie or show that this song could get plugged into. Right?

AI or will the real Johnny Depp please stand up?

But I am still skeptical since I know AI can produce audio messages in celebrity voices. I would love to chat with the real Johnny Depp though and ask him about music, so on the off chance that this is the real one and he sees this, my apologies!

Spiral thought: I still believe in Connecting and the interconnectedness of ALL even though some connections are fake through AI.

The countdown continues… we move in 1 DAY! I am picking up the rental truck tomorrow morning and then we’ll start loading. Woo-hoo! Life is a journey not a destination (to quote a line from one of my favorite songs)!

Here’s the one-hundred-nineteenth new music post for 2024, as I consistently plug our original songs. Songs that my dear husband wrote over 40 years. Some years he wrote many songs (when he lived alone in Bishop, CA) and some years not as much. But collectively, to write over 400 songs? Well, I agree that’s quite an achievement. And all because he’s such an observer of people and life!

A heart full of music

Richard Murrey has a heart full of music, that’s for sure. And this duet is a splendid example of that. He grew up playing guitar and so did his twin brothers. One of the best moments in our lives was getting Richard, Bill, and Tony together (several years ago) to sit around the house and play. I will treasure the memory of that! To me, it was as good as if we had gone to the Opry. A personal concert!

It’s April 27th, 2024; Here’s an original pop song about the big ones. “I could die playing motorboat” gives you a hint. And then the punch line of “Are they real or sili-coney.” A cool production mix by Steven Cooper, Nashville, TN. I can’t wait to hear what the guys have to say about this song! Is it too much?

Story about big ones

Here’s the one-hundred-eighteenth new music post for 2024, as I consistently show off our big ones. Be sure and listen to the end for the spoken tidbits. I know this song is a lot of tongue-in-cheek (or somewhere else), but it used to be one of the songs I didn’t play much.

Close to the heart

Lots of our songs touch the heart, and this one is sure close to the heart! Ha! And why can’t women simply be happy with what they’ve got?

I created the following meme on Facebook after my 59th Facebook ‘Story’ where women were either baring their breasts or rears. I know each of these people must have had their Facebook account hacked. I can’t believe any regular woman would post such vulgarity. Yes, this might have been me overreacting, but it’s still my opinion. Did I go too far? Ha!

It happened when I first met Richard. We spent 4 hours exchanging stories at a restaurant bar.
