rockin’ blues – Integrating the Spirals

It’s August 31st, 2024; We have a rockin’ blues original song for ALL to help us celebrate my hubby’s birthday! This is one of our favorite songs, The Golden Years Blues. Fantastic vocals from Adam Cunningham (yes, the guy who won The Voice some years back) and aWEsOMe production from Steven Cooper, Nashville, TN. Our son-in-law mowed the yard today, so for sure, I’ll get out there and do some swinging. And Richard wants to go out to eat and drink when the restaurant opens at 4 pm too. So, yes, we’ll be having fun rockin’ today!

Rockin’ all the time

My stair climbing routine is going good, and Richard is lifting weights now too! He ordered a new 20 pound dumbbell to get himself started (or restarted) lifting again. I think we’ll put on some music loud while we do our workouts today. Hmmm

I’ll keep this short, as daughter is already here and we’re all chatting. Ah, the family life!

It’s May 21st, 2024; Here’s an original rockin’ blues song that’s sure to bring back memories of the Bayou (if you’ve ever been there). Otherwise, it may conjure images of a southern gal who trudges through the swamp. To me, this song brings to mind one of my favorite songs of all time, Swamp Woman by Stranger (whom I used to see play Live many times while I was in my late twenties and early thirties).

I don’t know if any of you have dealt with the subject this song presents, but I’m betting you weren’t laughing about it at the time. Now, you can though! Hindsight is 20-20 as they say.

Speaking of mud

No matter what is going on in the world, it’s up to each of us not to get “bogged down in the doom and gloom” as Shirley MacLaine tells us in her monthly ShirleyGram email. I’ve been a subscriber of Shirley’s for years. I love the uplifting stories she offers freely each month. She typically writes about her love of nature, animals, and of course, UFOs and things of a spiritual (unseen) nature.
