It’s March 16th, 2024; Here’s an original country song with swingin’ guitar licks and piano all about cookin’ up the road kill. Get your fill with this kickin’ country tune (thanks to Steven Cooper of Nashville, TN). Road kill’s not so bad on a hot dog bun. LOL

Taste lingers

Here’s the seventy-fifth new music post for 2024, as I consistently serve up an original song from Richard’s 400+ song catalog to enjoy (or learn from) every day. This country song gives a nod to Vonns, Subaru, and State Road 395 (that runs through Bishop, CA).

The taste for places in our past lingers. Isn’t that amazing? Roadkill may not tempt you, but depending upon where you live, a lot of different foods are served up, which may surprise you. And palates do change over time.

Breaking attachments is hard to do

Screen capture: I love reviewing restaurant food (and other things) and this is an example of how many times my photos have been viewed on Google. I was kind of shocked when I got the email recently about this. 10,000 views!

Changing the way we eat is also a psychological process and can be hard to do, especially if one is addicted to food.

March 15th – Used to lies and crazy ways

It’s March 15th, 2024; Here’s an original country song with piano for you today about crying for someone that left. This country tune has some pleasing piano runs (thanks to Steven Cooper) and country guitar licks. He’d do anything for his love to return. He fell for the lies. And still cries ’cause he believes the person would stay. Ray Barnett on the vocals.

Sadness is an indicator

Here’s the seventy-fourth new music post for 2024, as I consistently offer an original song from Richard’s music catalog to enjoy (or learn from) every day. This country song is a sad but too familiar story about someone who still loves the one who lied and left.

Heartache songs

If you feel sad while listening to a heartache song, you might have some healing or clearing to do on and for yourself.

As discussed in yesterday’s article, the desires of the flesh cause pain. Most of this is attached to our lust, rather than love. Our human Material Self gets attached to someone’s presence in our life, their behavior, antics, actions, and ways. As well, our biology gets attached to their scent (think pheromones). Yes, people share a chemistry between them.

I’m starting my third year, participating in Dr. Bruce Lipton’s online group forum and monthly Live Zoom calls. I’ve learned and integrated a lot of knowledge about Epigenetics and now realize just how addicted to certain people we become.

Yes, when you grow attached to someone’s wicked ways (evil or very different ways, hurtful, vengeful, irrational, criminal, etc.), it impacts your chemistry, mood, thoughts, actions, habits, and more. Someone’s dark or dense energies can and very often do, lead softer hearts (and empaths) on a downward spiral that feels impossible to break away from. But hark! Freedom from these energy suckers is possible!

Breaking attachments is hard to do

Meme: “A circle of women may just be the most powerful force known to humanity. If you have one, embrace it. if you need one, seek it. If you find one, for the love of all that is good and holy, dive in. Hold on. Love it up. Let them see you. Let them hold you. Let your reluctant tears fall. Let yourself rise fierce and love gentle. Breaking attachments that have deep bonds is hard to do. Most of us can get through it a bit easier if we have some emotional support.

If you’re a woman, find a soulful women’s circle you can share with to find some support. You may always want to attend some 12-step program of your choice. For men, I know you want to hang with your buddies, but you might also want to find a men’s spiritual circle or 12-step program to help you as you break the love (or lust) addiction.

March 14th – All about the mojo

It’s March 14th, 2024; Here’s an original rock song for you today about getting your mojo back! This rock tune has some decent guitar runs and riffs. And Bubba Hudson’s vocals add depth. Another sweet professional mix from Steven’s Nashville, TN music studio.

Mojo is so hot

Here’s the seventy-third new music post for 2024, as I consistently blast a new song from Richard’s music catalog for your listening pleasure every day. This original rock song is all about getting your mojo going. What’s mojo? If you don’t know, perhaps recall the Austin Powers movie? Haha!

Desires of the flesh

As discussed in yesterday’s article, love is a phenomenon that science has yet to figure out. But the desires of the flesh are easy. It’s easy to fall in lust, which is a very different thing than falling in love. Lust is just the physical desire and attraction, like getting your mojo going, which definitely falls into the category of the Material Self, as presented in the pyramid diagram by William James:

I’ve been studying The Seven Principles and found this slide very interesting. The way the Material Self category is placed at the bottom and widest part of the pyramid is probably due to the fact that most humans think we are only material bodies, and rarely even think about how social we are (stemming from our Social Self), that we have a Soul (that shows up as our Ego), or that we have a Spiritual Self (Higher self).

This is why breaking up is hard to do

This explains why love hurts when we focus on the material level of existance. When we love deeply, we are attached to another’s soul. We never feel they can do anything wrong, or if they do, we forgive easily and try again, knowing nobody’s perfect. But when those we love continue taking advantage of us or hurting us, we realize they don’t love us as deeply (or on the soul or spiritual levels) as we love them. That’s when we may choose to walk away. And that’s why it’s difficult. Breaking deep bonds is hard to do.

March 13th – Parental love

It’s March 13th, 2024; Here’s an original piano lullaby song for your quiet times. Mommy, Why Can’t You Hold Me? is a lullaby that encourages us to connect with our parents and the life they lived even if they’ve crossed over. This original song asks if we can see our life through our parents’ eyes. I feel Mom’s heartbeat touching my soul and the strength of Dad’s love. My prayer is that God keeps them strong. Someday I’ll feel all their love and they’ll understand all about me.

Loving our parents here or there

Here’s the seventy-second new music post for 2024, as I consistently share a new song from Richard’s music catalog each day. This song gives us space and time to see our life through our parents’ eyes. And to love them with all our hearts, here or in the Grand Beyond. Even, and perhaps especially, if we feel our parents hurt us, didn’t understand us, or we didn’t understand them–this song offers us a healing balm.

Love is eternal

I believe love is eternal. It’s also a phenomenon that science has yet to figure out. No one knows how or why we feel it, or how the power of love can bond people together. Yet, love binds and frees at the same time. It can make us feel so high, and it may also make us feel low when we’re missing the closeness of our loved ones.

“We never know the love of the parent until we become parents ourselves.” –Henry Ward Beecher

And in my experience, when we become grandparents, the love for our grandchildren proves without a doubt that our parents loved us, even if they didn’t know how to show it. Let’s find it in our hearts to always show ourselves, our parents, and others Grace.

March 12th – Don’t give a damn

It’s March 12th, 2024; Here’s an original song with snappy piano playing in a traditional country genre for you. It’s about someone who’s over wasting time on things that can’t be. He used to do his best to keep his others happy, and lovin’ them right. But they left anyway, in the middle of the night.

Living in the past

Here’s the seventy-first new music post for 2024, as I consistently share a new song from Richard’s music catalog each day. This song sings about not wasting time trying to change what isn’t to be. He doesn’t give a damn. He is on to happier times.

Don’t waste time

Richard taught me a valuable lesson many years ago. “Don’t cry for things that can’t cry for you.” It’s helped me pull out of an overly emotional stint many times.

We’re taught not to worry (as Christians), yet so many of us do. And we waste time trying to change people and circumstances. This song encourages us to let all that go. Don’t waste time. Find other things to focus on. Of course, the more spiritually discerning you are on the front end of a relationship, the less potential exists for you to waste time with someone who doesn’t align with you.

March 11th – Nothing between us but the past

It’s March 11th, 2024; Here’s an original song in a traditional country genre for you. It’s about someone staying a prisoner of their past. Have you loved and then lost because someone can’t get the memory of their former love out of their mind?

Living in the past

Here’s the seventieth new music post for 2024, as I consistently pull a new song out of Richard’s music catalog closet every day. This song tells the tale of a woman who lives in the past (her past is all she can see), and a man who loves her but senses that there’s nothing left between them but the former guy.

It happens

It’s a common theme. People who live so much in their past, in their memories, that they totally miss what’s happening, Now. These types of people prefer the comfort of past memories, even if not all of those were pleasant than the perceived risk of living life in the present moment.

Is it courageous to live in the Now? I see each new day as an exciting adventure! But I don’t think many do.

Wouldn’t it be a wonderful world (as Louis Armstrong sang), if everyone could do as Dr. Joe Dispenza suggests and “Think greater than your environment… to truly change.” This means each of us must constantly and consistently challenge our internal thought processes (our thinking) and change our habits and behaviors.

March 10th – See the world through another’s eyes

It’s March 10th, 2024; Here’s an original piano song for you. It’s all about seeing the love of God through your child’s eyes. The protagonist’s story of seeing the world through the eyes of his baby girl. She’s rolled away the stone from his heart and he’ll never be alone while viewing the world through her eyes. It’s a familiar story for many who served their country.

I can relate (a tiny bit)

Here’s the sixty-ninth new music post for 2024, as I consistently shine a light on my loving Richard’s original songs each day this year. I can relate a bit from having my esoteric (otherworldly) experiences with my less-than-a-day-old sister, Christina, whom I wrote about in Blue Eyes: Ethereal Messages of Connection –available on Kindle Unlimited, Kindle, and paperback.

Richard captured a loving story within the lyrics of My Baby’s Eyes, though. A true-to-life story. And one that I believe is playing out now for many people as they leave their children to fight in seemingly endless wars.

A new world through the eyes of children

The innocence and grand love can show each of us a new world if we’re willing to see the world through the eyes of a child. No color. No race. No creeds or ideologies. No competition. No judging. No war. That is until a child reaches a certain age and begins to display what they’ve been taught.

Speaking of seeing the world through another’s eyes, we love watching the Rambalac walking tour videos. He’s typically walking through the streets of Japan, strolling through parks, and by Shinto shrines. We love the cleanliness of the cities he visits, and how respectful the people are, to each other and to their environment. I’ve included a link to his YouTube channel in my updated vlogger list in the next section of this post.

Wouldn’t it be marvelous and truly a wonderful world (as Louis Armstrong sang about), if each person could fall awake in a Spiritual Awakening to the innocence we had when we were young (before we were programmed/conditioned)?

I’m always amazed when I am ready for more new information effortlessly flows to me! And I am so thankful for the ability and aptitude to continue learning. And Omniscience God’s spirit helps me question, discern, and integrate the information that comes to me.

March 9th – Jazz song of desire

It’s March 9th, 2024; Here’s a jazz original song for you with sax! It’s all about desire. This song is full of adjectives about the protagonist’s desire. And how they “rock his world.”

One of things we enjoyed so much about having our songs produced in Nashville, TN over the years was being able to hire and incorporate the sweet saxophone sounds from acclaimed horn player, John Heinrich. This original jazz song also had vocals done by our friend Bubba Hudson, and brilliantly mixed by Steven Cooper.

Blue eyes

Here’s the sixty-eighth new music post for 2024, as I consistently present my loving Richard’s original songs daily. He’s sure something! I may not have blond hair (anymore), but I have blue eyes, and so does he. Richard even featured an image of me in the video he crafted (from when we were in Ireland in 2019):

Sweet sax

I could listen to this (with John’s playing) all day. His style and expert skills draw me right into this song and add so much complexity and richness to it. And I’m not a ‘jazz person’ much at all! Ha! But I love and seek variety. I read in another blog this morning, that’s a sign of high intellect. Hmm. Perhaps!

As promised, here are a few photos from our outing yesterday at Silver Springs State Park Campground (whilst spending time with our family–Richard’s sister):

The sun did appear for a few hours, but mostly it was partly sunny. I’m in the black ‘Kindness’ top, my hubby Richard is in the purple ‘Sexasaurus’ t-shirt (sold here), Rose (Richard’s sister is in the purple top and skirt, and her husband Alan is in the green t-shirt. There are a couple of shots of the campground with trees and foliage (one is their spot the other is the campground host spot). The green box is for recycling.

And yes, I had some time yesterday to sit with memories of my dad (who knew so much about trees), who passed/crossed over to the Grand Beyond, five years ago on March 8th. I pondered how we mere humans always seem to mark the time of memorable dates (happy or sad) and why we do such things. I will tell you that I woke up with the words to a song I’ve never cared much for because I didn’t like James Taylor, but it’s a song most of us know–You’ve Got a Friend. When the words, “I always thought that I’d see you again” came to mind, I wept. I think Dad sent me that to help me ease through any remaining remnants of grief. Aww!

Teets or knobs

What kind of tree is this??? Overall it looked like a scrub oak tree, but 90% of it or more was covered in these teets or knobs (nobs?). I did a Google Image Search but still unsure (I think it’s a fungus). Let me know in the comments if you have an idea. Curiosity may have ‘killed the cat’ but it keeps our minds sharp! Ha!

March 8th – Going to Silver Springs

It’s March 8th, 2024; Here’s a traditional country original song for you! There’s no permanent damage after relationships end, even if one was in a very bad situation (and I can think of some extremely horrendous scenarios). Each of us, if we’re still alive, has the opportunity to heal, restore, and move on. In fact, I often say, “onward and upward,” after any kind of relationship ends. This goes for jobs, friendships, etc.

Most people have a lot of trouble ending relationships though, or aren’t so resilient when circumstances change. And this is what I’d like to help people with. But folks have to be willing to change and grow. Each of us can learn from our mistakes or missteps IF we’re willing.

You’ll do just fine

Here’s the sixty-seventh new music post for 2024, as I consistently advance through Richard’s original song catalog with one new-to-you song every day this year. Even when the other is out of their mind, there’s no permanent damage. You’ll do just fine. More or less.

We’re getting out of the house

It feels like Spring (maybe even Summer) here in North Florida this week! And we have family in town for a few more days, so we’re going to Silver Springs and taking a break from our apartment. Ha! I’ll share some pictures tomorrow.

Put a new spin on it

Whatever is ending, a relationship or a move from a longtime place, we can always put a new spin on it, right? See the positives. As for new relationships, look for someone who challenges you in good ways, because if you find someone too much like yourself it might be boring! Haha! No drama. New roads! Adventures await.

March 7th – Got tattoos?

It’s March 7th, 2024; Here’s a biker original song for you! Do you have tats? Or is it tatts? Hahaha! Play ‘Doctor and nursey’ while listening to this rockin’ tune. Or cow tippin’ and skinny-dippin’! Yes, Richard takes creative license on a word or two. LOL

Most people put tats on their body to remind themselves or show the world what things they believe in (their ideologies), tributes to loved ones, or favorite icons, or such. But some people just want to go with the trend, show they’re a member of a gang, club, organization, or such. They don’t always think about (or care) how others will perceive them, or use their tats as a means of identification.

In the mood

Here’s the sixty-sixth new music post for 2024, as I consistently offer one original song each day this year. Maybe one has to be in the mood to get into this jazzy rock song. I don’t know. It got my toe-tappin’ this morning.

It drowns out the lawn maintenance crew

I never knew that one of the original reasons for tattooing was to be able to identify people’s body parts. Eew! But during war times, I’ve heard that was the case. And of course law enforcement takes photos of people’s tattoos as well, as a means of identifying suspects and sometimes they catch perpetrators of crimes by making a match of the persons tats! Isn’t that shocking?

I’m always expanding my perception and perspective!

Tribute to John Prine and my cousin Greg

My first cousin, Greg Wilson (here’s my tribute to Greg), loved John Prine. And Richard has weaved mentions of John before in songs, but this original song is pure. Richard uses several song titles from John Prine’s songs to create a stunning tribute like no other.

Honor

When I do my soul work, sharing Integrating the Spirals, I find that most people do not honor their ancestors, family, or mentors. Most cannot even remember the name of the person who taught them this or that–even if that thing caused them to go down a particular career track, or practice a specific ritual, or religious path.

I love to honor my roots. I love to think about ALL who’ve walked the earth before I was born. But I am always looking for the ways in which, We Are All Connected. And because We Are All Connected, everything matters.

March 5th – Speechless!

It’s March 5th, 2024; Here’s another “new-to-you” original song (we know ALL of our originals are new-to-you), which is why I’m sharing one (or sometimes two) each day this year in this blog post way. And I’m integrating my take on the song (within each post) with the YouTube link to each. Like Prince Rogers Nelson, my husband is a genius songwriter; I wonder what would have happened to Prince (especially mentally) had he not met and connected with manager and music promoter, Owen Husney–because one cannot even begin to visualize Prince working at a retail store, or other mundane job. And way more than that, ALL of us would have missed out on the varied array of fantastic music from Prince. UGH! It’s hard to even begin to imagine what would have happened to Prince had he not been able to live his music and have it heard.

Believe it or not

Here’s the sixty-fourth new music post for 2024, as I consistently share an original song every day. Sometimes we are speechless (like when we heard the news of the unanimous US Supreme Court ruling on President Trump yesterday). But most of the time, yes, we’ve got a lot to say! Haha! It’s hard for us to keep our mouths shut. LOL

Even when Richard has nothing to say, he says it ALL! Here’s proof:

Lets go crazy!

Last night I watched this video about Prince and felt into the story of Prince’s musical journey and subsequent rise to fame. While we hold no illusions of grandeur in becoming famous or making millions, I did notice a similar musical genius between my husband and Prince. Melodies and words flow. Songs are well-crafted. Both are prolific songwriters whose songs span genres and fuse various elements. Both willing to experiment. If Richard had someone like Husney on his side, the sky might be limitless!

Dream big

I was once accused of overselling my career achievements (during the first ten years working for a private university). So, I very much relate to a 17-year-old Prince Rogers Nelson being doubted by the music industry. I note the correlating threads. Prince dreamed big because only he knew his talent and abilities.

Stops, starts, and genius

Prince played with the stops and starts in some of his songs, like the beautifully done song, Kiss. But music people thought it was a demo when they first heard it because it was so stripped down. But Prince looked up to Joni Mitchell often (which, I never knew before).

So, where do we fit into space and time? How best to use empty space? Ah, speaking of geniuses, here’s what the smartest physicists had to say on the matter:
