December 27th – Unusual things

It’s December 27th, 2024; Did you receive anything unusual for Christmas? Unusual things is quite the unusual song! I thought it would be a great time to share this with so many unusual things taking place in the world.

This is the three-hundred-sixty-second new music post for 2024! This original song features our friend, Jim Merrilees from Scotland on vocals. Jim heard the demo of the song and asked if he could sing and record it again (singing over the original music track). Richard agreed, and this was the result! The music track was recorded at Steven Cooper’s music studio in Nashville, TN. If you watch all the way through the music video, you’ll see everyone’s name and picture that was involved in the music track on one of the slides.

We met Jim in person when we visited Scotland in 2019. Jim sang us another song while we were there and we even danced! In fact, it was the last time I went out dancing. I had the opportunity other times, but for one reason or another didn’t dance. I would like to learn some new dances and am hoping to do that in the New Year, as we live a block away from an Opera House where they offer dance nights occasionally.

I finished reading a book last night

I finished Shirley MacLaine’s book last night, Wall of Life. I was surprised with a few of her statements, such as when she said Barbara Bush was the nicest Republican she ever met. And how she thought Donald Trump eyed her up and down once (years ago) like he was undressing her, and himself. All because he straightened his tie when he walked into the room and spotted her. I wondered why she thought she could read his mind. I could tell when a man eyed me up and down but never had all those thoughts. She must be much more perceptive than I am! On the page where she shared a photo of herself between the Obama’s, I noticed she complimented Barack (saying he was nice) but made no mention of his wife! I found that omission interesting.

It’s December 26th, 2024; Did you survive or even enjoy Christmas yesterday? Well, today we’ve got an original song that questions ALL narratives. Dogma turns the beat around and the stuff we’ve heard/been taught! It’s one of my favorite songs too. So, there’s that.

This is the three-hundred-sixty-first new music post for 2024! This original song features Bubba Hudson on vocals and the magnificent John Heinrich on the saxophone. It was lovingly recorded at Steven Cooper’s music studio in Nashville, TN.

I mean, Shirley says Dean was more funny than Jerry Lewis! (She didn’t think much of Jerry, but Dean kept her in stitches!) I love Shirley MacLaine. In ALL ways.

December 25th – Presley the elf

It’s December 25th, 2024; Merry Christmas! We’re bringing you a fun original song to go hand in hand with your merriment! Presley the elf frolics and rocks into your living space to add joy, while paying tribute to the one and only, Elvis Presley. We hope everyone’s had a jolly morning, full of love and surprises.

This is the three-hundred-sixtieth new music post for 2024! The music for this original was recorded several years ago at Steven Cooper’s studio in Nashville, TN. But when Richard wrote new lyrics, he wanted a realistic voice (like Elvis) on the vocals. Matt Dame does a great rendition, even mimicking Elvis at the end. Great job! I woke up too early and then fell back asleep and missed the girls’ opening of their ‘Santa gifts’ and emptying of their stockings. But our son-in-law, Mike, recorded it, so I got to see that. Unfortunately, both of the twins have had a stomach bug, so one went to bed early last night and missed the family Christmas movie, Home Alone. The rest of us enjoyed that together. And I had forgotten how touching that movie was (at the end). Yes, I cried a bit too! I was glad that while we had not put our nativity up, there was a nativity scene (twice) in the movie and I didn’t miss my opportunity to comment on it! Ha! We also agreed that ‘everything happens for a reason’ was loudly proclaimed in the story line. Had the 8 year old not been left home alone, the elderly neighbor wouldn’t have been reunited with his family! Aww!

My gift to you

I hope you got to hear my gift to you in yesterday’s daily music blog post. But if you missed it, here it is again. As it came back to me this morning as I came back home to lay in bed, both because I was tired, and because I felt a twinge in my stomach too! (I hope I’m not picking anything up from the girls, as both my daughter and Mike are sick too.)

Here’s my gift to you: a ‘healing audio‘ / spoken words turn to singing (no music). I would like to put it on a video at some point. Suffice to say, my prayer is that it helps you heal.

Always integrating

I also hope you enjoyed the Jordan Peterson and Dallas Jenkins interview within the previous Integrating the Spirals post I presented for Christmas. They speak about several things near and dear to my heart. I’ll highlight a few: 1) Storytelling without propagandizing, 2) the FREEDOM we can feel and success that can find us when we surrender our Ego, 3) the synchronicity of the miraculous when we’re humble or feel we’ve failed (even while doing big things), and 4) the humanity and divinity within Jesus and perhaps ultimately within each of us.

While I was meditating the other night in the sauna, I started speaking these words. And then I was singing them for 20 minutes! After I got out of the sauna, I hit the record on the new iPhone Voice Memo app and captured this (though the melody, yes, even 5 minutes later was different). I’ll just call it a ‘healing audio‘ for now. I would like to put it on a video at some point. Suffice to say, my prayer is that it helps you heal.

December 23rd – I was blinded

It’s December 23rd, 2024; We have a sizzlin’ hot rock song for ALL today! I was blinded is another FANTASTIC song sung by the ragin’ Adam Cunningham! I’ve told you before, Adam shares so much SOUL in his voice. He amazes us! This song should definitely be a HIT! This is the three-hundred-fifty-eighth new music post for 2024! The end of the year is near! And I’m rolling out some new things on Jan. 1st, 2025 to see if I can encourage MORE communication between us ALL and more camaraderie. I’d love to begin meeting on group Zoom calls, but I know most of us have limited space in which to do so, which is one reason we blog. We can read, listen to, or watch blog posts at our leisure and private moments. And that’s a very cool thing.

We had a fantastic Christmas celebration yesterday!

Our first Christmas celebration did not disappoint! We had a great time watching our three granddaughters open many wrapped boxes with eager anticipation erupting in paper flying about the living room. And every gift was very appreciated, which is always the best! We ate lots of delicious food! Everything was yummy! I grabbed one photo from my daughter’s Facebook post, because I didn’t even bring my camera over to their house. I opted to stay fully present and engaged in every moment! We all chowed down and then the girls opened their presents. The adults opened gifts last. We received new thick and comfy long robes (we didn’t have any before, so these were an aWEsOMe gift from Marie and son-in-law, Mike)! And we received Hickory Farms meat and cheese tray with cutting board and cheese knife, from Mike’s mom and husband, which was totally unexpected! (Isn’t that cool?)

The bourbon balls I made are bottom left, and fruit cake soaked in Irish whisky is next to that in the white bowl. The holiday bacon is harder to see, it’s in my teal painted stoneware bowl in the left picture top right corner, and I love that my son-in-law’s hand is in the photo! Ha! Our eldest granddaughter is wearing the ‘let it snow’ t-shirt. We also contributed a tin of fancy cookies from Europe. My daughter, Marie, made a delicious spinach dip in a bread bowl and son-in-law made the chocolate chip cookies. YUM! We had mini corn dogs (I’d never had those before, tater tots, and lots of meat, cheese, and crackers. Marie put this whole spread together–she’s an amazing organizer! –Photos from Marie Lemire.

December 22nd – Life’s good

It’s December 22nd, 2024; We have a happy-happy, joy-joy song for ALL today! Life’s good is a rambunctious romp and tell’s it like it is! Ha! Bubba Hudson does an authentic job on the vocals and Steven Cooper puts his best on this radio-ready song production from his music studio in Nashville, TN.

Yummy treats!

I promised 80smetalman my bourbon ball recipe, so here it ’tis! Ha! I’m cooking the bacon currently, so I’ll also share that recipe. My son-in-law’s mom loved it when I made it at Thanksgiving, and asked for the recipe. So, I’m making it for her, and all of us, again today. Because life’s good!

Sheila’s raw vegan bourbon balls recipe

  • 1/2 C powdered sugar (I use organic date sugar and powder it 1 C at a time in Vitamix, use 1/2 C in the dough and leave 1/2 C as leftover to roll the balls in after)
  • 1/2 C raw organic coconut flour
  • 1/2 C walnuts or pecans
  • 10 dates
  • 1 heaping T coconut oil
  • 1/2 t vanilla
  • 1/4 C bourbon 

Prepare the powdered sugar first and set 1/2 C aside for rolling the completed balls in later.
Mix the dry ingredients and nuts first in food processor (or Vitamix on medium while pushing down with the plunger), then add dates, coconut oil, bourbon, and vanilla. Mix until a ball is formed.

Roll balls in the powdered sugar in equal parts (you can use cocoa too if you like chocolate). Chill in fridge for at least an hour before eating. The longer these sit in the fridge the better they taste!

Holiday bacon (borrowed recipe!)

Holiday bacon recipe. I picked this recipe up online this year from Dan’s Food Blog: https://dansfooddiary.com

I omit the pepper and I cut the bacon first, into four equal sections to make ‘bites.’ I also fry it in the skillet, I never use the broiler. Cook til your desired of doneness. When all done frying, don’t put the pieces on paper towels to drain or cool because they will stick! Just lay them on a plate and put in the fridge until time to eat. Enjoy!

On this Winter’s Solstice

I am reading my post from 2020 about my time inside the chamber at Newgrange for Winter Solstice 2019. And again, feeling all the ‘feels’ (the GOOD FEELINGS) I felt there, all the while experiencing the coldest cold I’ve ever felt, up through the bottom of my feet. I was all bundled up and wasn’t cold anywhere else, except for my feet. Oh, the dichotomy! And I’m usually the person who never has cold feet! Ha! Go figure! But I came into THIS LIFE to experience ALL. And so far, especially as an empath, I’ve been living up to that life challenge.

On being authentic

Yesterday, I wrote about how I wanted journalists to be investigative, speak truthfully, and be authentic. Well, I had this video to share also, but I felt the Shawn Ryan video trumped this one. Now, I think this video trumps the Shawn Ryan video. Sometimes, I share so much in my daily music blog posts because there’s just so many great things to share! So, here’s my favorite YouTube video about being authentic. As it turns out, according to what this man saw, being authentic is the #1 we are to be and do!

Dancing and meditating in the sauna

Believe me, last night after I finished reading The Pfizers Papers article I’m about to share, I had to dance to this song and meditate in the sauna. Anything to bring balance back to my mind, body, spirit, and soul. My mind just cannot wrap around how evil (which, I consider to be the opposite of ‘live’), the people are who caused or perpetuated (knowingly or unknowingly) the COVID debacle. At this point, I can only be happy to still be alive. And happy you are too!

I wanted to get this out as quickly as possible to everyone, but I had to finish reading it through first. I’m diligent like that. This is EXCELLENT! And I highly recommend reading through this excerpt of the Pfizer Papers so you’ll understand the importance of why we need Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. as Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary. What an astonishingly important (and sad) report! I am sharing this on my blog, SheilaMurrey.net with a few screen captures to entice readers to click and read this in its entirety. We didn’t take the shots because we follow Dr. Sheri Tenpenny, Judy Mikovitz, watched The HighWire with Del Bigtree and saw The Frontline Doctors on live TV talking about the early treatments they were doing that worked! I could NOT believe Washington D.C. didn’t organize a brain trust or Think Tank on this issue immediately when it began! It almost seemed like it blindsided everyone, including President Trump–though thankfully, he spoke up about early treatments like hydroxychloroquine!

I think I had COVID in December 2019 after a trip to Ireland. I knew something wasn’t right when I went to a walk-in clinic and the doctor asked if I had any shortness of breath. I’d never been asked that before, nor had my blood oxygen level checked when I’d had the flu in the past. (And I had a terrible flu in 2005 that I thought would kill me.) I had healed asthma from my body using natural and alternative health means in 2004–asthma I’d had from age 6 to my mid-forties and had taken up to 5 pharmaceutical medications to ease for decades. Detoxing from those meds, I think, was what had made me susceptible to the flu in 2005, but no one really knows. I wrote a book about my entire experience. Amazon has pushed it to the bottom of its category I guess, because I have not sold one copy.

It’s December 19th, 2024; We have a clever original song for you today. Fut the shuck up, goes out to all of the mainstream media (MSM) and others who just can’t seem to be investigative, real, or authentic. We need more honesty! Written a few years ago, Richard created the music video specific for 2020, when so much information was being withheld and the very experts who were trying to get the truth out were being silenced! Where was the brain trust? Why didn’t the government put together a Think Tank of experts? UGH! Hopefully, we’re beyond all of that now, and can focus on moving forward! All that ‘ease and grace,’ and ‘love and light,’ stuff didn’t get us too far in 2020-2024, but we have hope, NOW! I just hope those folks will chill (stop the anger and revenge) and JUST BE and COEXIST with those of us who really are working to Make America Healthy Again (MAHA)!

What does success look like to you?

I appreciate the comments I read from a few of you on what success looks like for you. You inspired me to ask this question to the broader audience.

We would love to see some tangible evidence of success for all the work Richard has put into his songwriting. All I can do, I guess, is keep harping about him and his music. I’m open to receive, have been for many years, since writing my first co-authored book where that was the title of my chapter. (I don’t believe I made a penny from that book either.) Ha! We’ve certainly paid our dues. Now, we wait for the Universe to show us!

What it all comes down to is… love

Richard and I spent a couple of hours watching Ryan and his wife discuss his spiritual reawakening. And to think a vacation in Sedona, Arizona was a part of it! Tada! I love that! I know the vortex he’s speaking of in this video too (Boynton Canyon). I’ve been there, and it’s where I used dowsing rods to SEE the vortex of the twisted ‘Energy tree’! Sometimes it takes decades to become an ‘overnight success’

I appreciate the comments and emails I received after yesterday’s post. Thank you. Sincerely.

We’re only human and sometimes get down about the long and winding road we’ve been on as songwriters. Throughout the course of my 35+ career in Information Technology, I was told many times that I had to “pay my dues.” I did. And I got paid fairly well for several years because I took risks and changed jobs, while several of the friends I began working at a private University continued to play it safe and stay at the University. So, my ‘success’ came by taking risks. And I feel good about that. No risk, no reward I guess.

I just feel at this point in our lives, it would be lovely if we would see some tangible evidence of success for all the work my darling husband has put into his songwriting. The only way I have ever been able to pull myself out of any self pity hole is to pursue other ventures. Call it changing focus or distraction. It doesn’t matter. But it works for me, every single time. And that’s where consciousness expanding topics come back into play for me. Front and center.

Expanding our consciousness by widening our aperture

Richard and I spent 6 hours watching this video last night and highly recommend it for anyone interested in expanding their consciousness. Many of the statements made by Joe McMoneagle aligned with things that have happened to me. Thus, I gleaned additional information and self-validation–including ‘hearing voices’ and the physical sensation I call, ‘GodBumps’. In other words, experiential occurrences of this nature are often difficult to prove, as there’s no tangible evidence of certain phenomena, though we know consciousness is yet to be ‘nailed down’ to any one area (in or out) of the brain, scientifically. He gets into UFO Disclosure. He speaks about multiple dimensions (that relate to what I’ve studied on the multiverse). And he talks about the metaphysical training at the Monroe Institute. Whether you believe in ‘psychics’ or not, this is an amazing interview if you’re interested in “conspiracies.”

Not to give anything away, but I felt so sorry for Joe by about hour 4 of this discussion/interview because he looked so uncomfortable! By the end, he looked sooo incredibly tired! If there was anything negative about the interview, that would be it for me. Had I been meeting with Joe, I wouldn’t have kept him sitting in that chair for that long. But that’s just me. The empath.

It’s December 17th, 2024; One of our original songs, L.E.O. ain’t high enough, almost made it into a commercial on the Discovery channel AND as a wake up call for the astronauts on the Space Shuttle! Yes, this song even had a music video created by NASA! This original song was sung by the incredible Bubba Hudson and recorded at Steven Cooper’s music studio in Nashville, TN.

This is the three-hundred-fifty-second new music post for 2024! Richard wrote this song while we were working at Kennedy Space Center, Cape Canaveral, Florida. He submitted the song to the Public Relations (PR) Department and the Press Director loved it! Even after the PR Department spent time and money creating the music video, and we got to go in there, meet the team of creators, and shake their hands–some higher up nixed the project. We had all thought the NASA music video would be played on big screens at the Kennedy Space Center’s Visitors Center and even as a wake up call on board the Space Shuttle for the astronauts.

A few weeks later, the Discovery channel called us and sent us a release to sign so they could use part of the song in one of their commercials, but that too, for whatever reason, got axed.

Richard and I are fairly positive people. But we’re getting tired of people saying they’ll do something and then totally forgetting about us like we’re a block of old cheese that nobody likes anymore.

I don’t have words anymore for how disillusioned we’ve become about getting our music noticed/heard. Thank you ALL for checking out my daily music blog posts and playing these videos. It really has helped brighten our mood and encourage Richard. We’ve learned we just need to be happy where we are and for who wants to be part of our journey.
