Integrating the Spirals: Have you heard of Xania Monet?

I popped up out of my writing hole for a few minutes the other day to read this article about Xania Monet the other day because the subject hit close to home for us as songwriters who used to rely heavily on having our original songs produced in Nashville, TN. Here’s the article (and embedded video interview) that I recommend you watch, especially if you’re an ‘AI hater’:

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/meet-the-woman-behind-chart-topping-ai-artist-xania-monet-i-look-at-her-as-a-real-person/

Creator of AI artist says there’s “a real person behind Xania” amid controversy: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/meet-the-woman-behind-chart-topping-ai-artist-xania-monet-i-look-at-her-as-a-real-person/

Xania Monet is an AI songstress co-created by Telisha “Nikki” Jones and Suno AI. And we use Suno AI (my husband uses the paid version, and I use the free version), to create songs we wouldn’t otherwise be able to produce, physically or financially. In our opinion, the music studios have priced themselves out of existence!

Yes, my husband has spent over $100,000 in the last twenty years, no exaggeration, to have his 400+ original songs demoed in Nashville, TN. And I’m not complaining. We have an astounding collection of REAL songs thanks to those studio singers and musicians. But since my husband had a stroke in October 2022, and since I retired in December 2023, he cannot play guitar and bass like he used to and we simply cannot afford to send songs to the top music studios anymore.

Before we learned of Suno AI we sent some songs to musician friends who did the best they could to demo our songs–in their home studios and on their timetable (which tended to be a bit too slow for us). Some of those songs turned out good, but they weren’t of anything like the quality we had been used to receiving back from our favorite Nashville music studio. And I won’t even get started on how much we were paying top talent singers who kept raising their prices to sing each song! Ugh.

So, go figure. We spread as much wealth around as we could for as long as we could. Now, we just don’t have it.

Enter Suno AI. People can hate Artificial Intelligence all they want. I used to as well! After all, I’d had 35 years in Information Technology as a Business Analyst and Technical Writer so why would I want to use more tech when it came down to our soul passion of songwriting and producing? I sing and feel it in my soul when I sing, and when other incredible talents, like Adam Cunningham hit deep. I get it. We love Adele too! We want to be moved by incredible singers. But there’s a place for AI. And I do NOT understand why people are fighting it.

Here’s the thing. When one has no other choice and the choice (as it turns out) is this good, sometimes you just gotta give it a go!

My husband embraced Suno AI and has been churning out several songs a day using it since February 2025. It’s given him a certain vitality back and zest for living too! And that’s priceless to me.

I used my Integrating the Spirals process to ease me over my “hating AI” bumps and began using the free version of Suno AI to get some of my poems set to music (and I’ve used some on my YouTube channel to help share information about my Integrating philosophy too).

I can’t say we’re making any money yet from our AI generated songs, like Telisha “Nikki” Jones is with Xania Monet, but the process has been instantly gratifying and that’s not too shabby!

To get some idea of the kinds of music my husband creates, check out his YouTube channel and remember anything before Feb. 2025 was produced by high dollar Nashville studios, and anything more recent (even his redo’s) were produced by AI. Thanks!

To wrap this up, here’s one of the comments I posted on Xania Monet’s YouTube videos:

Integrating the Spirals

I’m encouraging those “over 60” to open to lifelong learning (observe and gently question their pre-conceived beliefs, aka ‘Programming’), become more aware of their thoughts and emotions, consistently move their bodies (too many are stuck in their heads and physically unhealthy), become strong, and resilient in spirit, soul, mind, body. And to question EVERYTHING!

‘Thrive in 25’ – Hitting it big!

Have you ever wanted to “hit it big” with a song, book, or other creative endeavor?

We have. But then, we really are simply seeking royalties to augment our retirement income because neither Richard or myself care about awards or red carpet snobby events.

I found this information: https://www.beairdmusicgroup.com/aboutlarrybeaird the other day about the success of the gentleman who founded the Nashville, TN music studio where we spent a lot of money having our original songs demoed, some songs more than once when Richard would rewrite lyrics. This About page, astonished me–the level of success the Beaird music studio has had to date.

To me, the list of Larry’s successfully produced songs (for others) says we worked with one of the best music studios in the country. And yes, music studios use the best studio musicians and singers. Ergo, when our songs don’t hit it big, it must be our fault. Our songs must simply not be that good. That’s a shame considering we have penned over 400 original songs–NOT counting the stuff we’ve created in the last few months using an AI song generation tool.

Art class – The wave

The art class I took last Friday night with my daughter was to create a fused glass ocean wave! We really enjoyed the class, even if I had to put a slight damper on it by saying something I shouldn’t have said. Ugh. My mouth. When will I ever learn?

Here are the before and after photos:

Brought the plants outside for some sun

Don’t worry, I’m bringing them back inside by sundown. It’s going to hit 50 degrees Fahrenheit or more several days this week, but still dropping into the low thirties or even twenty degrees at night, so it’s still too cold to leave them out. As well, I keep the orchid inside all year around (it was a Florida plant that stayed indoors there too).

Peppermint, basil, lavender, oregano, parsley, and the Florida orchid.

So far, the oregano, lavender, and basil (in larger pots in the background, look like they may have survived the winter and snow, etc. but we’ll see in a month or two if they actually start growing again. That is why I took cuttings and potted them in small pots to bring some inside for the winter. I’m an experimental gardener in that way. Always adopting the “wait and see” attitude and “giving life a chance.”
