As I heard someone say recently, there are some things, even some Seinfeld shows, that one couldn’t get away with creating or showing in today’s cancel culture. I hope no one is offended by Richard’s image in this video. Coaches say to “be unapologetically you,” but most people continue to judge a book by its cover.

It’s April 30th, 2024; Here’s an original rock song about extraterrestrials! Yes, go figure. A song about E.T. makes sense from a couple who used to work for the Space Center, eh? Haha! It’s April 29th, 2024; Here’s an original rock song about Energy! Would you call this hard rock or metal? Michael from 80smetalman or Gray Summers can tell me. Yes, we all need and use energy and this is Richard’s ode to all that is the energy that sustains us. This is one of my favorite songs! It’s got solid vocals from Bubba Hudson and a hot production mix by Steven Cooper, Nashville, TN. 

Deserves a space in movies

Here’s the one-hundred-twentieth new music post for 2024, as I consistently push our original songs out into the ether. Yes, The Fifth Element is a favorite movie and I believe songs like, Energy, certainly deserve a space and place in a film like that. Someone has to be making a movie or show that this song could get plugged into. Right?

But I am still skeptical since I know AI can produce audio messages in celebrity voices. I would love to chat with the real Johnny Depp though and ask him about music, so on the off chance that this is the real one and he sees this, my apologies!

Spiral thought: I still believe in Connecting and the interconnectedness of ALL even though some connections are fake through AI.

Here’s the one-hundred-nineteenth new music post for 2024, as I consistently plug our original songs. Songs that my dear husband wrote over 40 years. Some years he wrote many songs (when he lived alone in Bishop, CA) and some years not as much. But collectively, to write over 400 songs? Well, I agree that’s quite an achievement. And all because he’s such an observer of people and life!

A heart full of music

Richard Murrey has a heart full of music, that’s for sure. And this duet is a splendid example of that. He grew up playing guitar and so did his twin brothers. One of the best moments in our lives was getting Richard, Bill, and Tony together (several years ago) to sit around the house and play. I will treasure the memory of that! To me, it was as good as if we had gone to the Opry. A personal concert!

Here’s the one-hundred-eighteenth new music post for 2024, as I consistently show off our big ones. Be sure and listen to the end for the spoken tidbits. I know this song is a lot of tongue-in-cheek (or somewhere else), but it used to be one of the songs I didn’t play much.

Close to the heart

Lots of our songs touch the heart, and this one is sure close to the heart! Ha! And why can’t women simply be happy with what they’ve got?

I created the following meme on Facebook after my 59th Facebook ‘Story’ where women were either baring their breasts or rears. I know each of these people must have had their Facebook account hacked. I can’t believe any regular woman would post such vulgarity. Yes, this might have been me overreacting, but it’s still my opinion. Did I go too far? Ha!

Feelings guide us

Here’s the one-hundred-fifteenth new music post for 2024, as I consistently present one of our original songs every day. When we truly feel the sacrifice made for us, as the Holy Ghost (Holy Spirit) leads, we understand we never walk alone.

Never alone

Yes, I believe what the Bible, prophets, and sages have said for thousands of years, “We never walk alone.” No matter what religion (path) you choose to follow, it seems all are reminding us we are never alone. If not, I don’t know what comfort it can be.

Here’s the one-hundred-fourteenth new music post for 2024, as I consistently deal out one of our original songs each day, as a card dealer does at the blackjack table. All to release our songs into the world (like spores of mushrooms) to see where they may sprout and take root!

We reap what we sow

Yes, I believe it’s true that we reap what we sow. By practicing my Integrating the Spirals process, I continue to see the effects of the seasons in both increasing my awareness to see MORE, my ability to sow seeds, and the growth (or forward progress) I am making in life.
