Health update
We just got back home from Richard’s doctor appointment this morning. The news was ALL good! YAY! Richard’s blood labs came back good, and now our Integrative Physician can focus on helping us out with a few other health issues. After Richard starts a new thyroid medication, we make a few dietary changes, and he begins a few other supplements, he will feel 100% (and perhaps I will too)!
Richard’s iron level is back in the normal range (it had been too high for a couple of years). This is great news! We can reduce our carb intake (I think almost everyone could benefit from doing that), lower his cholesterol (she definitely wants him OFF the statin), and get his thyroid back to normal range (he’s a bit on the hypothyroidism side). Another great takeaway from today’s visit is that Richard can actually have more sodium and potassium now. And he’s thrilled about that!
I gave our doctor a Defend Super Patch and very briefly explained how it works (she was aware of Lifewave but not Super Patch yet) I told her I have two on Richard right now, one for balance, the other for energy. Before we left she gave me a few suggestions (supplements) to balance my hormones (as she’s a hormone specialist). So even though it was Richard’s appointment, I got some advice for myself as well. Menopause is putting “men on pause” as the saying goes. Ha!

I highly recommend Dr. Tenpenny
I have joined Dr. Tenpenny’s morning show before, but today, her answers were sooo good I had to share them–and all the links I collected from the chat too! If you would rather listen instead of read, play the audio (I know I haven’t given you an audio for several weeks):
Dr. Tenpenny answered two of my questions today!
This morning on the Dr. Tenpenny show, I asked her: How can people (like me) who have documented and turned their healing experience into a book (entice people to buy it)? I’m not a doctor or other qualified health pro so people tend not to listen to me and I have yet to sell one copy of my 200+ page health book (on Amazon: Have Yourself a Wholly Vibrant Life: Reversing Asthma and Other Chronic Illness Naturally). Total transparency here! Ha! I thought people weren’t buying because I’m not a health pro.
Dr. T referred me to a book called, The Holy Grail of Book Publishing with checklists and info on book launches–(turns out that it’s a 3 book set). She said, “You can’t just put a book up on Amazon and expect it to sell.” Tony Lyons from Skyhorse Publishing has told Dr. T: “A million books per year are published through Publishing houses.” So, know that competition is fierce. The best book Dr. T read was written by a mom regarding her Hepatitis B vaccine-injured baby. Dr. T advised me that a catchy book title (one that people can relate to and catches their attention) is needed. Along with a good book cover design, and a launch plan. She bought both, the Kindle and paper versions of The Holy Grail of Book Publishing–that’s how strongly useful she feels it is.
Plus, Dr. Tenpenny answered a question I had about underarm and groin rashes. Seems that’s an end to the path of lymph, so we’ll get rashes there when we are detoxing. I was thinking that’s where we sweat so it’s an EXIT point, but I hadn’t connected all the dots as of yet, so I asked. And she confirmed it for me. Tada!

February 19th – A mournful country tune – Remember
It’s February 19th, 2024; Here’s an original traditional country song that Richard Murrey wrote when he lived in Bishop, California. He was observing men who were in mourning over their significant others who had passed, and some who were simply lonely–and put pen to paper to craft this country tune.
Too sad?
Here’s the fiftieth new music post for 2024, as I practice consistency in the sharing of our original songs–one each day. Are the lyrics too sad? I would call it a ‘cry-in-your-beer’ song but I think it’s even too sad for that. It hearkens back to ‘He Stopped Loving Her Today’ except he didn’t die, only his other half crossed over (to the Grand Beyond).
I think I’ll let you listen and tell me how you take this. I’ve given you fair warning as to what it’s about:
Healing lyrics
This song gets me in my gut when I think of my Mom and Dad. I remember how Dad cared for Mom for the last several years of her life (Mom died of Alzheimer’s disease). Dad passed almost two years after Mom. Richard always says Dad died of a broken heart. All I know is Dad was sooo lonely. Intellectually, I know Dad missed his routine of caring for Mom and the yin-yang passion/arguments they’d shared for sixty years. But my heart aches that they didn’t have more good times. And as much as I attempted to help Dad, by suggesting he find a new purpose, socialize with his friends, or such, he would always tell me, “I miss her so” with his voice cracking. UGH
But I love to remember them like this, holding hands and smiling. This is a picture I took when I visited them and took my doggies–Mom loved Beau (and Lou-Lou)!
I do attempt to keep my mind on the positive side of life, so I’d prefer to look at the photos I have during healthy times, like this one. And the times when we could all get together. Ah, this song is helping me heal–layer by layer on many levels.
I look forward to having more family time with my daughter and her family when we move up north this summer. It’s going to be a slow crawl for me, mentally, to let go of all Florida has meant to me though. But I believe I can do it. Music is healing! Songs like, Remember, help me heal from the past.
I know memories shift over the years, and I always find there’s a flip side (yin-yang) to Everything.
