Reflecting on the year

After the numbers are in for the whole year, I’ll post my WordPress stats. But suffice to say, my readership is up, WAY UP over last year… and I know that’s because of EACH of you, opening, reading, and joining me in the comments (both on my posts and on yours), all through 2024! I’ve taken more time to read more posts thoroughly and thoughtfully comment. People know when others are REALLY reading, not just skimming their posts. I’ve honestly enjoyed getting to know my favorite bloggers this year and dive in deep with them.

I took a cue from Max over at PowerPopBlog to list each of you and your blogs to give you ALL props for encouraging me this year! Your comments and well wishes really do keep a gal focused and motivated! For sure! I hope I haven’t forgotten anyone, if so, know you are loved, and I will add you (let me know, please)! A few of you, I’ve only just begun to chat with, so I’ll be sure and do this again at the end of 2025, Omniscience willing we make it that far. Tada! Thank you, thank you, thank YOU!

If I haven’t chatted with you for a while, just know that I have you on my list and it will happen. 2025 is my year for focused attention, and making more conscious time for chatting with you! Oh, and finishing up my 5th book. Ha! Yeah, there’s still THAT.

Aaron Abke

Okay, I might become obsessed with Aaron Abke. I’m now listening to his podcast episodes and finding a lot of value in them. I have said many of the things he talks about and I kind of have felt like I was on an island! So, I’m finding it all very exciting and thrilling that we’re on the same page, spiritually-speaking. I wonder if he’s read all of Shirley MacLaine’s books too? October 30th – Not many do

It’s October 30th, 2024; We’ve got a new original love song for ALL today. You’ll see that when you listen until the end. Not many do offer cleverly penned, fun lyrics with a twist. Adam Cunningham is back with solid gold vocals. (Why he isn’t the biggest star, I surely don’t know!) This is the three-hundred-second new music post for 2024! Thank you to 80smetalman for reminding me it’s leap year! Haha! It’s inspired me to share a little nighttime meditation with you all following the song. But do listen to the song first. I really think it’s a cute song! Let us know in the comments what you think of the twist!

Richard wrote this song after we went to Ireland, England, and Scotland in 2019 (on a life-changing Sacred Celtic Journey), because one of our friend, Shari Hinkle, goes fishing with her man. I don’t fish. And Richard doesn’t fish either! LOL! But that’s my hubby. He takes inspiration from people watching and listening to their stories. If you know Shari, her background picture in Facebook is of her holding a huge fish she caught! Yes, if you catch the Big One, be sure to have someone take a picture, so others will believe you when you tell your big fish story! Haha!

I love it when a plan comes together

Shari Hinkle wrote a book too! And I bought it, read it, and wrote a review for her book because I enjoyed it sooo much! (I’m currently reading 80smetalman’s book too, and will review it here when I’ve completed it as well…). Shari’s book focuses on her past life regression sessions with our lovely Patricia McGivern (our hypnotherapist), and the physical healings she manifested from the result of those sessions. It’s fascinating and incredible and I still recommend it to people who “follow the Science.”

As I explained yesterday, Western Medicine let me down in 2005 and led me to write the book, Have Yourself a Wholly Vibrant Life. My intention was to help people understand more choices were available. What’s irritating to me is that no one has wanted to read it! Go figure. I guess it has become my barometer to just how ASLEEP people are!

I won’t stop preaching the truth of holistic health until all of us do. Because not many do ‘get it,’ yet. That there are myriad ways to heal.

Results from my first art class

I’ve been so focused on marketing our original music, that you may have forgotten that I’m working on my 5th book–I forget much of the time too! I’m still researching for the book with no release date in mind yet (though I am speaking with a book publisher this week). As well, my daughter got me out of the house last night to take an art class. If you would rather listen instead of read, play the audio (and there’s a few minutes of BONUS info on the audio this time too!):

Art class

It couldn’t have been a better subject than a Highland cow or Hairy Coo (as they are called in Scotland). Having seen Hairy Coo in Scotland (in 2019) I thought I’d do better on this. I think my daughter’s version turned out much better than mine, not that it was a competition. She’s been working at the art studio for two years and has picked up a lot of great ideas, though I do believe she’s a natural at this (see the last picture from her Facebook post of us).

This is what I started with (my daughter does most all of the tracings for every class at the studio).
This was the model and what we were aiming to do. Our teacher, Jeanie, encouraged us to take a photo of the model so we could zoom in on our phones to see the details. That didn’t help me toward the end though as I didn’t add the green leaves and little dots of flowers on the coo’s head. I almost forgot the white dots on the butterfly and the blue in the coo’s eyes too! Ha!
Almost done. I added the blue to the eyes but had not added the white dots to the butterfly yet.
I think my Hairy Coo looks great at home on the new white bedside table I got in from Etsy.

I really enjoyed painting, but I will say, that I observed us during the class, and aside from a little, “What did she say we do now?” and the like, my daughter and I were very focused on our art pieces. Others in the class were talking, laughing, and drinking (yes, it was a bring-your-own wine event), and while we were enjoying ourselves, I only got down about half of my cup of wine spritzer. I saw myself as being very serious and diligent in my ‘work.’

Be the best version of who you want to be–because if you’re reading my words your soul is probably beckoning you to align with it and live up to your highest ideals.
