December 7th – Merle & me

It’s December 7th, 2024; We’ve got a traditional original country song for those who love Merle Haggard. Merle & me finds Paul Pace singing the rich and smooth vocals. Sooo beautiful. We love this song!

This is the three-hundred-thirty-ninth new music post for 2024! This radio-ready tribute to Merle was recorded at the wonderful Beaird Music Group of Nashville, TN. https://www.beairdmusicgroup.com

Merle & me. Music, lyrics, and video by Richard Murrey.

What do you really own?

I finished one of the books I’d been reading yesterday, Ancient Wisdom for a New Age: A Practical Guide for Spiritual Growth, and it was the last day of the Theosophy Book Club (check my previous post: https://sheilamurrey.net/2024/09/07/september-7th-didnt-i-tell-you/), for studying this book too.

The Theosophy Book Club I meet with on Zoom had been meeting every other week to study this book since Nov. 2023! Wow! Over a year to get through it. And one of the statements in the book was, “You own nothing–not your house, your car, or even your body or the talents you have. Everything you have, even if you have “earned” it, is simply part of your fiduciary responsibility. An instrument of the universe, much more is required of you than of others.” I pondered this sentence last night and believe it’s true.

Meme: “The most valuable asset you own isn’t money. It’s your ability to think clearly in a world designed to confuse you. Mental clarity is wealth.” –Unknown

Gift of fire!

Yesterday, my daughter finished assembling an electric fireplace and shelving unit for our small living room/bedroom. Woo-hoo! We’re so happy with it too! I’m still trying to decide what to put on the bottom shelves. Follow all the steps next:

The white ‘cubes’ storage bookcases that I’d put together in Florida (and said I’d never assemble anything else like these again). My daughter had to move these from the living room to my upstairs spa room BEFORE she could even begin putting the fireplace together. Note: the small bookcase in the corner is now the plant stand in front of the window. –Sheila Murrey
Photo: My daughter on the first assembly day. It took her about 4 hours to put this together over the course of three days, but she did it all on her own! Woo-hoo!. –Sheila Murrey

Photo: End of day 2 of assembly. The side bookshelves sections are on and they have lights! An app came with this for my phone that will work the lights (different colors) and even flow with the music that’s on my phone! –Sheila Murrey

Tomorrow, I’ll show you pictures of how the spa room turned out. I moved the cube storage units myself and had to take everything out of my small bookcase so I could use it for a plant stand. The room got a pretty big makeover! Ha! But now, I am sooo happy with it.

Everything happens for a reason and myriad sides to every story

Yes, Everything Happens for a Reason and Everything Resolves to Gratitude. Knowing that each of us (as fractals) uplifts my mind and allows me to view life as a lively kaleidoscope grand design that moves about in an ever-expanding, revolving, melodious, consciousness. Even if we have to disconnect from some people, for a time.

Enjoy (IN Joy) everything and love! Be Everything All the Time. Let’s soar in ’24! And let’s (are you ready for this?) THRIVE in ’25! or just be… Alive in ’25.

Yours in expanding, coexisting (because there’s more than one-side to every story), spiraling consciousness,

Sheila “Spiral Sister” Murrey
