June 9th – What’s she runnin’ from?

It’s June 9th, 2024; We have an original rock song about a girl that seems to be running from something. This song was written (music and lyrics) by my always curious husband Richard Murrey. This mid tempo rock song features the smooth vocal delivery from Bubba Hudson, and mixed in a pro demo, radio-ready fashion by Steven Cooper of Nashville, TN.

Story songs

Richard loves to observe people and write story songs. He’s done this for far longer than he’s known me. When we started discussing what led him to write some of these songs, he has said he was always curious about why people make this or that choice or decision in life. And that fascinates me too, being one who writes a lot about moral ambiguities and multifaceted enigmas. I’ve always believed the truth lies somewhere in between. Now that I see everything in a multidimensional way, with each of us as fractals of Omniscience, this way of looking at life has become even less about facts and more nuanced.

Yes, Everything Happens for a Reason and Everything Resolves to Gratitude. Knowing that each of us (as fractals) uplifts my mind and allows me to view life as a lively kaleidoscope grand design that moves about in an ever-expanding, revolving, melodious, consciousness. Just knowing how multifaceted everything is, and interconnected, makes me appreciate everything more (yes, even the little things), and take life more in stride.

January 8th – Adding a little fun

It’s January 8th, 2024; let’s take a little romp to the moon today, if only for a few minutes in our minds as we listen to this song and look at meerkats. Sometimes when I’ve had a heavy day (emotionally), I find a way to have more fun the next day. Always seeking to live IN Joy.

Mars

A lot of people are curious about Mars. No wonder NASA named one of the Mars rovers, Curiosity! Ha! I think it’s great to get lost in some off-world dreaming, if only for a few minutes a day. While I’m not taking any particular stance on Climate Change, at heart I’m a nature lover, tree hugger, and environmentalist because I love all of creation and am thankful every day that I have this life to experience as much of it as possible. Our Earth really is magnificent! If I never go to Mars I’m okay with that.

Here’s the eighth new music post for 2024 as I consistently offer up our originals (music and lyrics by my illustrator artist and prolific songwriter husband, Richard). It’s no wonder Richard was inspired to write this song, after working at Kennedy Space Center for 13 years.

I think we have an amazing dearth of original songs/material that filmmakers, podcasters, and such could use in movies, TV shows, video intros, and more. January 5th – Goes circular

It’s January 5th, 2024; I’m thankful my son is out of the hospital and the rest of my family is well.

I continued reading through some of my collected research this morning (for my 5th book that’s in progress). Following along on my post from yesterday, my book research circled back to family relationships. I delved into some intrigue too, when I watched a very curious video from Tucker Carlson (that was just released 15 hours ago as of this writing), of his interview of Mark Epstein. I was struck by how important it is for a family to stay in touch, though again, one can never really know someone (as yesterday’s post pointed out). Mark said he had not seen his brother in 7 years (prior to Jeff’s death in federal prison).
