Here are some stats for you to bear in mind while I present notes from the free course I’m taking right now on the Circadian Rhythm and how I can work to reset my hormones:
70% of Americans are overweight or obese
55% are on psychiatric meds, with the USA having the highest use of antidepressants in the world
88% metabolic disease rate of one and three cancer rate on average.
The average lifespan was 76 years. It is now down three years. Two people are dying three years sooner and on average people are dying faster and younger. That’s not good.
Cardiovascular disease is still the number one killer. After decades of the American Heart Association, doing what they do.
Everyone seems sick, tired, and miserable.
We are not doing well.
I’ve told you before about how I learned nourishing my body is much better than dieting–as I learned while doing WildFit last year.
Dr. Stephanie Rimka says the protein study is a protein and aging study that looked at the actual protein requirements for Aging and Longevity. They did a massive meta-analysis based on some of the best protein research and the American Medical Association says we’re extremely protein deficient. This is causing people to get osteoporosis much sooner. And causing muscle mass to be gone dramatically. This is the cause of all the falls etc. It is estimated that by the time you are over 60 if you fall, there’s a 50% chance of never walking again. And the person may not fall but a bone breaks because their bones are weak. So, the takeaway here is that most do not eat a high-protein diet. Most Americans eat an adequate or minimum protein diet. We’re not talking about the protein requirements of a bodybuilder, or somebody with cancer, or wasting away disease. This is a baseline for adults. The nourishing plan I’m on also has me working to master leptin. There are five rules of leptin that people have used for years to master it. There are a lot of hormones in the hormonal system. Leptin and insulin are your two important hormones. There’s a whole bunch more of course. Leptin is your fat-burning hormone. Many get this wrong. Leptin is not your enemy. Leptin is your friend. Leptin says “burn fat baby” speed up the metabolism. Fit people often have to do some biohacking to raise their leptin. They’re trying to increase it because your body fat is an organ–yes, that white body fat you can grab.
Why have we been talking negatively to our fat? Telling her she was fat and stupid and ugly and you know she’s been saving your life. And you haven’t been kind and gracious and said thank you. Fat is an organ and endocrinal–it makes a lot of hormones. A lot of them. Leptin is one of the ones it makes when you have a lot of fat. You make a lot of leptin so then the body says, Oh, you need to burn the fat. You’re too fat. So burn fat. It speeds up your metabolism and it says I need you to stop eating. When it cuts the hunger it opens the fat stores. It does that to bring you back into balance.
When you get too skinny there’s not enough fat, right? Leptin goes really low and then it says we need to make her hungry and slow the metabolism. Stop burning that fat we can’t afford to lose anymore. And by the way, don’t let her get pregnant. That’s what leptin is doing. The problem is when you’ve gotten bigger and bigger and bigger, fatter, fatter and fatter.
Circadian Rhythm – when you eat affects Leptin Resistance
So, if we have high leptin your body thinks ‘slow’ and makes you crave and hungry. And not be fertile and slows down fat metabolism. Some supplements (like the new one I’m taking) and the five rules of leptin are helping to do that as well. It’s because you’ve been breaking those rules for years that your leptin got all out of whack, so we must reverse engineer the issue. Insulin is a beautiful hormone your pancreas makes that stores energy and shuttles energy into cells. The first thing it will gobble up is alcohol. If you have any alcohol, it’s using that first. Nothing else is happening until the alcohol is gone. Then it goes after glucose and then fructose. Then it will hunt for fatty acids. Then it will go after the deep fat stores. So, reverse engineer what you’re putting in your body. Only so much energy can go into your cells. When it’s done, it stores the energy for insulin and your fat storage hormone.
If you want to be thin, you better have a low insulin. You better change everything in your life to keep yourself living an insulin-controlled lifestyle. If you’re living an insulin-controlled lifestyle, you will be automatically living an anti-inflammatory inflammation-controlled lifestyle. Right? They all go together. They fit in so beautifully synergistically so you kind of worry about a couple of things and you’re going to cover almost everything and go to the next one. That’s a big problem in most of the diet culture. And what’s going on in different plans is going after we’re going to cut cut, cut, we’re going to restrict restrict restrict. They end up starving you have the most important thing you end up needing is protein the most satisfying, right? The thing that gives the biggest reward we say satiety is a real natural protein and a Whole Foods state will always have a ton of fat with it. Those two together, spike a very slow insulin. Insulin seems very low, but you’ve gotten tremendous energy from the fat and you’ve gotten tremendous body repair and building from the protein, protein in and of itself.
At about 30 years of age our hormones start to drop off. You say, I just eat salad. But you can only white knuckle yourself for so many weeks. And then you’re also trying to increase your activity right? You say ‘I’m gonna walk’ and ‘I’m gonna lift weights’ and ‘I’m gonna do Zumba’ and ‘I’m gonna do Pilates’. And like five weeks in, you’re gonna cry because you’re starving. Because your appetite now is through the roof. Because you haven’t been eating enough food and the most important one is the protein and the fat–that’s a real thing. And because not eating enough makes you hungry by the way and increasing exercise makes you hungry. So how do you think you’re going to do all those things without eventually breaking and going into binge-eating or ice cream mode?
You need to be super satisfied, incredibly nourished. So there’s no part of your cells that feel they’re starving. Your brain doesn’t think it’s starving. It’s not in fear. Your cells are finally starting to get nourished. We’re bringing in things we like, unlocking a little bit of fat occasionally, if you’re not metabolically flexible right now, you need to know this.
We’re combining the protein study with the leptin, mastering reset rules, and it all centers around this because it’s keeping insulin low and it’s giving you everything you need. Every essential nutrient is in the animal for everyone on Earth, period. Fact. You need protein and fat. And things such as Zinc, B vitamins, and choline. Let’s assume you’re eating five or six times a day. And that you’re leptin resistant. When you want to eat after dinner, or have late night cravings and can’t fall asleep. That’s a massive sign. You don’t need to get your blood labs drawn if that’s what’s been going on with you. Don’t strive for perfection. Take a 1% movement every day. Stay consistent and find a pattern (which, works great with Integrating the Spirals) and a practice for the rest of your life. You’ve got to live with this. You got to live with your body, your food choices, and your movement choices. Don’t start some new activity you dislike. Find fun things and play! This should be fun. Life should be full of JOY. Joyful people are always healthier. If you are’t happy now, pretend! Start practicing JOY. Focus on that this week.

Good morning. Good afternoon. Good evening wherever you are in the world.
P-L-A-Ndemic 3: The Great Awakening documentary
I finally finished tonight watching the Mikki Willis documentary called The Great Awakening or P-L-A-Ndemic 3. If you’ve heard of that or not, I will post a link to it so you can watch it for free.
And I’ve also been taking a four-week course on the circadian rhythm to help me improve my sleep. I’ve been making a lot of changes for myself in the last two weeks in regard to my sleep time, and that’s why I even probably sound a little groggy. But really I’ve been getting up with the sun. It’s such a simple change. Wake up with the sun, eat only during the daylight, and go to sleep fairly soon after the sunsets. Of course, as summer is approaching it’s about nine o’clock at night here in Florida, USA before the sun goes down completely. So I am essentially waking up between six and 7 am Eating breakfast at 8 am, eating lunch at 1 pm, eating dinner at 6 pm and not snacking in between or eating after 6 pm (we used to eat at 5 pm). That’s been a bit of an adjustment for me because I had been doing intermittent fasting for the last couple of years and I typically didn’t even eat breakfast till around 11 am. I would eat again at 2 pm and a snack at 3 pm and by 5 pm was eating dinner. And then I did quit eating after that but occasionally would have a snack or dessert–something homemade or a little chocolate, which of course kept me awake later into the night.
But after my husband had the stroke last October, it was just weird. I couldn’t sleep until 1 am or 2 am in the morning every night! It was really making it difficult for me to function well at work. Because I do have to use critical thinking and analytical processes for my day job. So I really need my sleep at night. And I had never had an issue with sleep until after I just sort of correlated that eventually it began happening after his stroke. I started staying up later and I really blamed it at least initially on getting the books done.
Getting my books out
Blue Eyes: Ethereal Messages of Connection (was important to me) to get out – link is here: https://amzn.to/3CkilR5 Because it had been in the works for three or four years. And I really just felt compelled to get it out. And then after that, I wanted to get the second edition done on the holistic health book, which got renamed. It had been titled, Take It Upon Yourself to Live a Wholly Vibrant Life. Through some discussion with friends on Facebook we felt it needed to get renamed. It has ‘yourself’ (in the title) because it really needed to have the word ‘your’ or ‘yourself’ in it (because it all starts with YOU). Have Yourself a Wholly Vibrant Life became the main title and then the subtitle needed to point to what the book was about. Everybody felt like it was too generic before to understand what it was about. I started reversing asthma because that’s my part of the story. And then as well I did heal some other chronic ills or illnesses. I said the subtitle is reversing asthma and other chronic illness naturally and it’s important to get the word natural in there because it is what it is holistic, but it’s also it’s predominantly the natural approach. I mean, my issue was I was on five asthma and allergy medications. For many years I even had taken allergy shots, but when I changed medical doctors, specialists who were allergy and asthma specialists; this is why it’s so friggin ironic. I went to a new specialist only because we had moved at that time, and she told me that the allergy shots had been taken for two years, and lost a job over having to stay in town and take those shots every week. They weren’t even formulated correctly. So that’s really what formed the that was a catalyst for the book, I started taking all kinds of notes, asking all kinds of questions asking her what questions I should ask. Because, you know, we don’t know what we don’t know. So initially, it was just trying to figure out why I had been given the wrong medications. And, for a while, I was taking some new ones from that. The second doctor/second specialist, and then my husband’s aunt suggested to me that I try acupuncture, which I didn’t know anything about initially.
My Acupuncture health journey
I guess I was somewhat vaguely familiar with the term (Acupuncture). I knew it was Asian. Knew it was some sort of treatment, Knew it involved needles. And that’s all I knew. I mean, I was completely illiterate when it came to what acupuncture was, and I think most Americans are unless they’ve had someone in their family that has gone for an acupuncture treatment that can tell them about it.
So when my husband’s aunt told me about acupuncture and suggested I try it as well, I probably even had to think about that for a couple of months. But when I finally did, the first gentleman I saw, I didn’t vibe with him at all. He had no bedside manner at all. And I thought, well, you know, I thought this was supposed to be something different (than traditional medicine). So I asked if the place I’d gone to had someone else. I know I’m spiraling into too much of the story, but I’ll finish the thought that yes, they did. And that woman ended up being an oncology nurse. She had been in oncology for 26 years. And she went back to school to learn acupuncture because she was starting to see 13, 14, and 15-year-old girls coming in for cancer treatments for breast cancer. And she said there’s got to be what’s going on. There’s got to be a cause to all of this. And she continued practicing nursing for four or five years while she became an acupuncture physician, Doctor of Oriental Medicine, and she got a lot of flack within her Baptist church community, as well as she was above from a military family and had had at least one son in the military. So I mean that there were a lot of reasons why she didn’t kind of fit the picture of who you would think of as an American learning acupuncture I totally respected her story, and fell in love with her story. And I said, you know, I really want to share your story in a book, and I eventually want to write a book about this, but that took 13 years for me to get that book together.
Getting the books out didn’t cure my sleep issue
So after I finished getting blue eyes out on Amazon, I felt again this very strong pull to get the health book out—to get the second edition of it out. Because I had originally published it in 2018 on Smashwords so that it could go to Barnes and Noble. But I didn’t, at that time, understand enough about Amazon to be able to get it out on Amazon. So that’s the short or long story about how that came to be and why everything has fallen in such quick succession I was awake till one to two in the morning but then got back up by 8 am to roll out of bed and turn the computer on for the day job.
Working from home and caregiving
Thankfully I work at home, so I didn’t have to do anything in the morning other than just roll out of bed in turn on the computer, which I wouldn’t be able to do this job any other way. Especially now after my husband’s stroke and needing to be at home and help him with sometimes very small tasks but still you know it requires me to be here and be with him. So the point of this blog article was to tell you about the Great Awakening (Pandemic 3) why it means so much to me. I love the first two as well (Pandemic 1 and 2). They’re so well done. They’re very comprehensive. So somebody who has been sleeping under a rock the last three years and or it’s coming from a background of perhaps the Western traditional medicine and they think that we’re just lunatics for not running out to get our vaccines and things like this. Well, I haven’t come from that background. Needing to get off of medications that weren’t even formulated correctly for me (and cost me a LOT both in money and time). You can imagine my hesitancy–really a mild term for it. Skeptic is another–probably closer to the truth–word to describe how I feel (about mRNA products). Hatred might be too strong and I try not to hate anything but I just know hate will turn and come back around and bite me. I really do my best to apply principles of Christianity Taoism and Buddhism to choices and decisions I make. So I’m not hating, but I am wary, and I am concerned that a lot of people just roll up their sleeves and get things jabbed. into their bodies without knowing anything about them. And these things, these M RNA shots, they were not tested. And what testing had been done was very, very little and all the animals died. I mean, I just you know, I get that I’m paraphrasing this and so you don’t I don’t want you to believe me or quote me watching the movies. That’s all you need to do. All I had to do was hear Judy, Mikovitz and Dr. Sherry Tenpenny, and Dr. Northrup and you know, I was convinced not to do it right from the beginning. But I know a lot of people don’t follow those doctors. Or may not have heard of them. So doctors, scientists, I just happened to go from one to the next. Dr. Robert Malone. You know, there’s so many and then also, of course, I’m in a group with Dr. Bruce Lipton. And so I understand my belief plays a huge role in how my body would even accept something like that into it. He also provided a lot of wisdom early on and in the over the last three years.
Independent vs Collectivism
But watch those movies. Get hold of them, somehow one way or another, and watch them. This one was quite eye-opening in regard to socialism, communism, and what’s happening in American politics. So yeah. So I understand that. Topics such as this (Great Awakening) can be divisive. That’s not my intention. I do stand for inclusion, and I love talking to a worldwide audience and writing things for you that I feel will be helpful and uplifting. Sharing my struggles and triumphs as well. But I will say that I’m not for inclusion to the detriment of the individual. I’m super responsible and super independent. And I do believe in the power of the individual.
The Power of the Individual
So if I had to choose individuality versus collectivism, which is where Socialism, Marxism, Maoism and Communism and all that stems from–it’s that whole idea of Collectivism, doing something even at the risk to your own body for the betterment of the whole society. No, I think we need to always take it upon ourselves to take the best care of ourselves because together we form this human chain that will be much stronger when each of us is our best and our most healthy self. So I don’t just believe in letting the government handle it all. The government is a collective group of each of us. But if we lose our minds, and we’re mass hypnotized by just some sort of narrative or rhetoric or propaganda, don’t think that that serves us. I think that we need to, we need to use our critical thinking skills and apply personal analysis to our own personal health choices and decisions as well as within our family or our family structures. And then, you know, neighborhood and groups we belong to voice our opinions. Yes.
That’s why I blog and I write books, right because I want to voice my opinion. I want to help others. I want to share what I’ve learned and maybe they don’t have to fall in the same hole or, or experience the same pitfall. You know, if I can save someone a step, that’s great, then my mission has been fulfilled. But I know that I’m not for everybody.
Who would love my health book and Integrating the Spirals
I made a list of who I think would love my health book. Who I think would benefit too from the Awakend course that I’m in right now on circadian rhythm. And that would be those people who believe in Energy. I think you have to first know that there’s this energy that unifies all of every living thing in the universe. I think if you deny Energy and you deny some sort of God, Source Energy, or Divine Intelligence I think that’s where we may part ways. Of course, again, I’m not going to hate. I’m not going to put my energy in that direction because what I put out in that negative direction is going to come back and bite me later. So I think that I’d rather spend my energy. My words and, my thoughts. I would like to send those out to those who, at least can be open to receiving the information.
The next on the list would be natural health. If you love or like or you have some affinity towards natural health and healing, then you’re my tribe and I think you’d really like my book. Have yourself a wholly vibrant life.
And then if you’re a DIY or do it yourself type or if you love health hacks your body hacker or biohacker, I think there’s a lot in it that you would get a lot out of and you would enjoy it.
If you’d love learning. You don’t ever get enough info, especially about health and health devices, and especially things you can do at home once you learn it like emotional freedom technique or EFT. When you learn that body tapping, you know, and I can teach you in five minutes to 20 minutes I’ve taught classes at a Wellness Center on it and I know how to teach in such a way that it’s very easy and it can help you a lot with your emotions. It can help you ease sadness and loneliness. depressive thoughts, not allowed to talk about anything that the pharmaceutical industry has deemed a diagnosed illness, you know, so all I can speak of are in terms of general symptoms. So yeah, if you tend to have depressive thoughts, EFT can really help with that. And it can also help plug in some new thoughts that you want to adopt. You know, if you want to be a more positive person than a negative person. If you want to be more do go busy, instead of being apathetic or lazy. It can really help with that too. So it’s very motivating and empowering. But my point is, once you learn that, it’s free and you own it and you know it, you can do it every day as many times as day as you want and I love methods like those methods that we can learn, I can learn from you, you can learn from me, and then we have it. You know, I love Reiki for the same reason. That’s the manipulation of the energy. Over the millennia, we humans have tried to help other humans by carving engraving into rocks, and doing the cave paintings and things like that. The symbols that when we connect with them, we learn or at least we attempt to learn what they were for and what they’re about can give us great instruction on how to heal ourselves and and others as well.
Learning and integrating things you can do at home
So that’s my list, I think if you want to learn some things you can use them at home. And also, I put together Integrating the Spirals because one of the biggest concerns people had that I spoke to, was that they would buy all these books and programs and they didn’t have time to implement things. Well, now I’m learning I’m seeing it firsthand with the circadian rhythm course I’m in. They’re teaching us slowly and they’re encouraging, for us to implement the changes that we’re learning about every day and every week before we progress to the next week. So I think that’s very important. So integrating the spirals does the same thing. But what it does is it just teaches you a process or a philosophy that over the course of four or maybe five sessions, we just talk it through on Zoom. Not necessarily what you have bought that you haven’t implemented, but I’m helping give you a way in which you can pull those out because the first step is you put them all in a box or tote or a bag or something like everything you’ve bought that’s physical that you have. And if you have it on your computer, you put it all into one folder, just get it off the desktop or whatever, right and just cram it all into its folder. And then once you have like all your programs and books and processes in a folder or the physical ones in a plastic tote or a box or something is that you just put them all away and you kind of allow that give yourself a week to just like not even think about them. Right? And then as we go through the four and five sessions, what we’ll do is we’ll start pulling some out and talking about them as in a group if we have a group of people. Otherwise, I’ll just end up putting the course out there. And you all can look at it and read it and digest it in whatever time it takes you to do so. And I’ll just take donations for my time of putting it together but I’m not concerned about that.
From Ireland to you
I’m doing it more to get the I want to get the structure out there because it’s all based on what I was given when we went to Ireland, and I won that entry into the Newgrange into the Neolithic ancient burial mound the tomb that I went in and it had the triple spiral engraved on the wall. And when I looked at that when I touched the stone, I got this feeling and this Some people would say a download but it didn’t all come at once. It was like this is something important and this is something that’s going to you’re going to use this and it’s going to help guide you and keep you sane and give you just this knowing that you’re on the right path and then COVID to happen. So, you know I was there in December 2019 and inside Newgrange and I was part of the last group they got to go in there for more than two years. They had closed it down a month later due to the COVID lockdowns and nobody got to go in there for the winter solstice. So for more than a couple of years, so it was it really kept reiterating and impressing upon me how important that visit was for me to be there. And I was the only winner they do a lottery to allow people in there and only 20 people a day go in for the solstice during five days over that five-day period of the Winter Solstice and so I got to go in and I was the only one from the USA that won that year to go in. So I felt like there was such a it made such an impression impression on me and there had to be such a big reason for me to be there.
From walking barefoot on a dirt road during lockdown time
Integrating the Spirals came out of that because when I started walking barefoot in the sand, it was during locked down time and there was a lot of craziness going on. We were living off the grid and there were people that were driving big, jacked up 4-wheel-drive trucks and stuff by me. One time I felt like this guy was trying to run me over and I was just walking down the side of a dirt road barefoot–minding my own business. He came out of nowhere; it was kind of scary. But I was determined. I was determined to get healthy, stay healthy, stay sane not play into the fear, not be it’s hard to put into words not fall apart, maybe. And I would go to the grocery store–my son had shaved my head once during that time as well. He shaved my head and I was going to the grocery store and I would look at all the people wearing their masks (staring at me). Initially nobody wore their masks because we were in the country. There were about 10 people in the grocery store. But a few weeks into the lockdowns people were wearing the masks, and then they would look at me with the head shaved like I had cancer or I was a skinhead or something. They just looked/literally stared at me like I was an alien. Like I was an extraterrestrial so I kind of got it. I got that. People didn’t know what to do with themselves anymore. And nobody wanted to get close enough to talk either, you know, and you couldn’t really talk well in those masks. So there’s that but it just felt like I was in an episode of The Twilight Zone. And I felt like I felt like the world was sort of slowing down and it was surreal and it was profound and there was a lot we could learn during that time. But we needed to go inward and we need to meditate and we needed to walk barefoot in the dirt. And we needed to use new processes like what I’d been given, and so I started writing that down and drawing it out on big pieces of art paper and then just applying that process to everything. I put old things that I had wanted to read and study I put them in a put them away and I just tried to make space for me to embrace something new and pay more attention to the outdoors which I was living in nature and growing plants and putting in a new garden and things. So I just got it. I got a lot more out of my head and into my body. And so it started showing me when things are tight. There’s a way to loosen them up. But you have to give yourself that space. It’s never going to loosen up when without that space when you don’t give yourself that space.
Wrapping it up
So that’s the big lesson. If you remember that if you take nothing else from this but when you look at a spiral you see a dot in the middle because it’s so wound so tight, there’s no space. And then as the spiral lines start to come out from the center, they get bigger and bigger with more and more space between each of the lines. When we draw this out, you know it’s just start in the middle with a dot and wind it real tight and then start going out and in a circle around and around again, but the circle never touches itself. So the lesson there is when something feels tight to you when you’re upset when you’re holding it all in. Breathe and give your body and your mind that space to unwind. And this can be used for all sorts of things but it can help you let go and it can help you reorganize your thoughts. And then when you do start to bring things back in. You can work the spiral backward so you start very slowly and with a lot of love and grace for yourself and caring and kindness. And you only bring in one thing at a time when you’re reintegrating or implementing some of those things that you bought a long time ago but haven’t used yet because you didn’t have time. But that’s because you were in the middle of a spiral and you were busy, busy, busy, busy with no space. No time for anything else. So now when we’re working the spiral backward, we’re going to reintroduce and rework things from that standpoint of I’m only going to do one thing at a time. You know, adding it back into your already busy days. Taking care of what you have to take care of like your family and your job, your education, things like that. But, none of those other programs, none of those other books. Just put all those aside and when you do start bringing them back in, you’re bringing them back in one at a time until you can actually get whatever it was you thought you were going to get out of it. And if you start reading that book and get partway through and it’s not resonating with you then you can just lovingly give it away or donate it to a library you don’t have to feel compelled to finish it. Give yourself space and grace and time and kindness. And you’ll see it all comes down to the levels and layers, degrees and doses. That’s what makes the difference between a poison and a medicine. It’s a big topic, and why we need two hours. But don’t worry, We’ll do three 40-minute calls to keep Zoom happy and to have nature/restroom breaks. Depending upon how many want to join, I may buy Zoom again (I used to have it but class sizes dwindled), thus they hold me to 40 minutes. Usually people start to get tired after 40-minutes anyway. Again, we’ll see how this goes.
