It’s September 16th, 2024; We have an original country song that features a melodious break, as well as some aWEsOMe guitar riffs. Bubba Hudson is back on vocals to sing of a post-apocalyptic story from a son’s perspective to his dad. A fitting song for what I’ll be talking about later in this post. This is a radio-ready song that one might say, offers a solemn warning, but Mother Nature shall recover. Gratitude for the beautiful production on this song from Steven Cooper’s music studio in Nashville, TN.

I bought a couple of books today

He Was Weird by Michael D. LeFevre

Typically, I buy Kindle books, but Michael and I have been reading each other’s blogs (link to 80smetalman blog on WordPress) for quit a while; Michael writes a lot of music posts. Michael wrote the book, He Was Weird, about bullying. A subject that hits home for me, as I was bullied as a child. I have wanted to read this book for a while but kept putting it on the back burner (I have quite a few books I’m in the process of reading right now).

I ordered the paperback of He Was Weird today though, and will hand it down to my granddaughters when I’m done. I want to share it with them in hopes that it will help them understand that boys can get bullied too and how they might deal with it, or cope, should they meet someone in Michael’s shoes one day. I think every book helps us understand the world better. I am looking forward to receiving this paperback. I love connecting with other bloggers on WordPress and supporting each other as we write and market our books.

GOD in a backpack YOU

I met Lucia Herger a couple of weeks ago in the Be Awesome Network on Facebook (Interview #88). I knew right away that we ‘clicked’ and were ‘birds of a feather.’ So, I reached out to her for a Zoom call. It took us a few days to actually connect though, due to our schedules, and time zone difference, not to mention, tech challenges. Ha! Good old Technology. We love it, we hate it, but thankfully, it brings people together!

Lucia talks a LOT about how we’re all living in Paradis today, well, as she says, we’re living in Heaven on Earth. So, as I said earlier, it was fitting I speak about her book today, since I’m sharing our ‘Paradise today’ song.

It’s August 12th, 2024; We have an original country song about a guy wanting to dance with his bartender, but she’s working, so she can’t dance. This is one of Richard’s favorite songs. I’m sure it’s because it brings back memories of when he played in a band at Whiskey Creek (in the desert valley of California). World news

We follow this informative guy on YouTube (yes, we mostly only watch YouTube and our DVD movies, though we do watch a few series on Paramount+ too, but we’ll be giving up on it soon–I’m tired of waiting for new seasons of 1883 and 1923. I’m also exasperated that they’ve not rerun Yellowstone, as I’m sure we’d love it too. UGH).

We get most of our foreign relations news from Alex, though I must say, I’ve been getting a lot of news from my fellow bloggers here on WordPress too! I love connecting with each one of you (via the comments and on Facebook–when we connect there), and you know who you are, from the UK, India, and other parts unknown.

I love how Alex travels around and is usually always outside during his daily videos. Of course, I love Greek men too, (haha, jk Richard! And he worries about me meeting a Chief Red Cloud someday… haha!), so there’s that. Also, I appreciate Alex because he always balances out his ‘news updates’ with a ‘clown world’ segment at the end of each video, and it always makes me laugh. Ha!
