Integrating the Spirals: To the Ice protesters

I’m not a Veteran, but I have many Veterans in my circle, both family and dear friends, and I have worked for the Veterans Administration. I can say with confidence that most Veterans and Americans love our country and are distressed with what’s been happening in recent years.

Freedom, long fought (and died) for, appears to be eroding faster than I can type this. It’s time to take a solemn moment to dig deeper… and mine for truth. I know this is a multifaceted issue:

Dear ICE Protesters,

I speak to you as a veteran and former progressive frontline protester…

Not from a place of judgment, but of hard-earned experience.

One thing I learned over the years is that no protest reaches the national stage without consent from the very system it opposes. 

Look deeper…

Ask who’s organizing and funding these demonstrations. 

Research their backgrounds and their long-term agendas. 

You may discover, as I did, that you’re not resisting oppression…

You’re being used in a campaign to destabilize and dismantle your own country.

I know that’s a hard truth to hear…

And I know how this will likely be received…

You might think  “Mikki is just another far-right bigot.” 

But that’s not who I am…

That’s not where I come from…

I have been where you are today…

And I have been on the frontlines of countless protests just like this one.

My intention is to share what I’ve learned with hope that it might help someone out there. 

Have you heard the term, “Useful idiot?”

It refers to good people, well-meaning people…

Unknowingly advancing a cause that ultimately harms them and the people they love. 

I don’t see you as an idiot.

I see you as a caring human in a world awash with expertly crafted propaganda. 

Just like I was. 

I don’t blame you. 

I understand you.

At some point, the illusion breaks. 

The anger fades. 

The grief begins. 

You’ll start to see things clearly…

And when you do, you’ll remember warnings like this one.

Only then will you find yourself truly on the right side of history…

Not the one that’s been scripted for you, but the one you choose with open eyes.

October 16th – My mama’s eyes

It’s October 16th, 2024; We have an original traditional country song about Richard’s mother. It’s really a tribute song to ALL moms. Richard wrote this original song for his mother many years ago. He had Steven Cooper produce this using a pro male singer in his Nashville, TN music studio. We love how it turned out.

Here’s the two-hundred-eighty-eighth new music post for 2024, as I consistently give you songs of love, encouragement, and connection. In this case, a beautiful song to honor a wonderful mama. I love it when we can honor our moms.

Thoughts about triggers and healing

I got triggered yesterday when I read a blog post that had used the word, ‘misinformation.’ I realize I am too old and wise to let certain words trigger my emotions, but yet again, there I sat in my agitated and irritated state. I had to get up, do my stair-climbing, clean the kitchen, and get something to eat. I also know eating when I’m upset isn’t good for my body, but I still do it occasionally. I’m NOT perfect.

Yes, I wrote a comment to the blogger of the post. I couldn’t leave it alone. She hasn’t approved my comment though and I didn’t copy or screenshot it either, so now, I am wondering if I was too harsh. But whatever I said, it was my truth in the moment, so there’s that. If she reads this, just know that I am sorry if I was too brusk. But I meant what I said. I try to always look for the truth between the words of ALL stories, so yes, even when I read information found on government websites (because I used to write some of those), I can pick apart the good, the bad, and the ugly.

I can smell propaganda a mile away! And not all Republicans in Congress agree with President Trump, in fact, many tried to oust him when he was in office because he goes against the status quo often! He’s a businessman, not a lawyer or politician, and that’s why a LOT of people love him. They know he’s not perfect, but you generally know where you stand with him. There’s no facade, unlike 95% or more of the others. And I suppose that’s my bottom line. What you see is what you get with me. Like it or not. No perfection here! But I cannot stand to sit idly by when the propaganda machine calls people out for ‘misinformation.’

I’ll take a lesson from Gregg Braden here, and calm myself:

Gregg Braden might be called a misinformationist for saying, “There is NO physical evidence for Human Evolution.” But I agree with him. Why? Because I have studied other ‘science’ for more than 30 years that agree with him. And I am informed by a variety of sources, not just one group who typically all agree with each other. Connecting the dots

If you’re watching mainstream media (MSM), it’s no wonder you believe the rhetoric about President Trump. And if one more person calls him, former President Trump, I’m going to start calling Obama, former President Obama too! Fair is fair. And we have MUCH more reason to dislike Obama than Trump, because Obama ended the manned space flight program and cost us a job (Richard was forced to retire), and our house that we had bought brand new and only lived in for five years in Titusville, Florida. But when Trump became President, Richard was called back to work (after 6.5 years of retirement) at the Kennedy Space Center and we had our two best financial years EVER!

The truth we have lived and experienced is vastly superior than ANY propaganda (that anyone tries to cast on our minds)! That’s my story and I’m sticking with it.

Law of attraction

We all know that anything that has ever been created in the world first came as a thought, a concept, first. Therefore, thoughts materialize!

Mind your business

Your chattering mind may be telling you that negative, wrong, or hurtful things seem to happen to innocent people (and children). But dear heart, we don’t know why they came to live at this time in history, or the lessons they are here to learn. As well, other people’s problems aren’t really our business—unless of course, they ask for your help.

As well, when you get pulled DOWN by such thinking (about others), that is the law at work. Balancing ALL. ❤️🦋🌀

Now is the time

We are living in such awakened and conscious times! Yes! And we can look back and see the historical suffering that has occurred and learn from it. We are the ones we have been waiting for! We are the healers and light bringers. We can raise the vibration of the ALL!

True help

When you look at others who are confused or hurting, you desire to help. But true help, their growth—is an inside job (for them). You can be kind to them and offer them compassion, and comfort, but often growing can be painful.

Racists can be kind.

Meditate. Go within yourself to ease and clear your old patterns. This will expand the consciousness of those around you, as a ripple emanating in the water as a stone is dropped in. Those with lower vibratory tendencies will shape up, or ship out (and away from you)! You’ll know this is true as you begin to lighten up, and notice many around you, in your sphere of influence, living a lighter life.

Reach out

Reach out to me if what I have said resonates with you. I am in your circle ready to share tips and practices with you as you step up your inner game.

I’ve been where you are, doubting the law of attraction and that the path of least resistance is real. I’ve valued my intellect over my intuition too. But no more. Now, I observe detached from problems and focus on self compassion, play breaks, and time basking in meditation. I was one they said was “so serious.” I’ve lightened up and know you can too.

Light workers don’t hate

Lastly, you may consider yourself a light worker. But here is a big truth. Light workers don’t hate.

So, if you are struggling with that or find yourself questioning this truth, please reach out. I would love to offer some wisdom (and a whole lot of unconditional love), I feel will offer you freedom from some of the heavier thoughts you may be thinking.

The 7th year of our annual FREE health and wellness event was the best and grandest festival yet! You’ll want to stay plugged into this blog, and the Awakening website to ensure you don’t miss next year’s festival! It’s sure to expand the consciousness of all vendors, participants, and attendees into the stratosphere!!!

Over the last seven years, the Awakening Into The Sun festival has been the muse to many artists. Artists who inspire abundant and ever-expanding consciousness in the world. We learn, grow, and LOVE! The festival’s mission is to water your seeds of greatness and help us awaken to our individual and collective authentic purpose.

Free yoga classes, free live music (from some of the best around!), health educators, art classes, and health sessions, such as: crystal bowls, sound therapy, massage, acupuncture and more were enjoyed by hundreds of participants. As well as, we enjoyed healthy food, visiting with pets up for adoption, meeting new visual artists, and more.

Our fantastic sponsors even provided a huge tent for us out in the center green lawn, with tables and chairs for everyone to relax in the shade as desired.

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed musical performances by: Duo Vida, Billy Mays III / Infinite Third, Jordyn Zentz, Eluv, Lindy Romez & Sol Y Mar, Latin Rendezvous, and Samadhi. Some people danced, others performed with their hula-hoops and continued their yoga on the lawn while watching and listening to the live music.

Our drum circle for closing ceremonies on Sunday was one of the grandest in Florida! Keep us in mind for next year… and we’ll work to give you the most aWEsOMe awakening, heart-expanding, and soul-connecting time!

It’s ANCIENT and Expansive, not NEW AGE

My path, my journey, isn’t NEW AGE. My path is an ancient and expansive one, as deep and vast as the Universe itself.

Not new age
Not new age

Besides, NEW AGE is just a label. A way of dividing us.

My friend, Dr. Alison J. Kay sent me (and her subscribers) a beautiful email today explaining it like this,

My path is not “New Age” In fact, it is quite ANCIENT.

There are SO many erroneous portrayals out there now that the enlightenment path, known today as “Awakening” during humanity’s Spiritual Awakening occurring 2012-2032, has coupled with the marketplace.

Social media memes, you tube videos, even our much beloved – and my fellow – New Thought leaders – still focus on information only, which is in the exact opposite direction of the openings required, after a certain point.

Are you Awakening? Are you open to experiencing expansive shifts in your life? You can! It’s possible! Free your mind from the whisper of limitations. Feel for the powerful energy that’s available to us ALL!

  • Work with an aWEsOMe teacher, like Dr. Alison, Sadhguru, Pedram Shojai, Jeff Primack, Dr. Joe Dispenza, or Lama Nicholas Packard, to make massive shifts

I always want to be here for you, as you have been here for me. To talk about the deep things. The things that really matter.

Talk about what matters

I know and understand that you and I might not be able to talk about these things in person. And that’s okay. You PM me on Facebook, or comment on my posts, and then we have email, Skype, or Google Hangout conversations. And every conversation, every one of you, matter to me. You inspire me to share deep thoughts via my Facebook posts and this blog, even though, I’v never personally met some of you.

I now have friends in Australia and England that I might never had had were it not for this blog. I am humbled and grateful. Not one of you has ever taken advantage of my time. For everything always happens in Divine time.

Some of you have reached out to me when you were going through  your “dark night of the soul”, perhaps because something in one of my blog posts resonated with you deeply. And I am forever changed, for the better, for our conversing on these important matters.

But it is not about me. It’s much larger than that. It’s about each of us knowing we can find someone to connect with on this beautiful planet of ours, even when we do not feel close enough to reach out to anyone.

In the dark

You have raised odd concerns and fears to me. I’ve held them close to my heart. I’ve pondered and responded only when I felt I had something I could offer. Mostly, it’s been that I care and that I’ll listen. (Well, “read” I guess is the better way of stating it.)

I feel my soul purpose in life is to listen and talk with others only about the deep things. Does that make sense?

I’ve never been a “small talk” kind of person. I like to dig deeper. I love to help connect people and assist them to heal wounds. I only hurt when others who’ve been in my circle do not (for whatever reason) find that they can talk with me. I am here. I’m available. And I am working on a way where we can all work together as we awaken.

An accountability partner

I can coach you, or simply point you to a healthier path. I can assist you to integrate all we’ve learned together. We can practice emotional freedom technique (EFT) together to ease body and mind. We can share and enjoy videos or songs together.

When you need someone to remind you to be as water, I am here. If you need God, you only need acknowledge your closeness to the Divine is as near to you as your next breath. You are never alone.
