Integrating the Spirals: We went to the Pumpkin Festival today!

Our twin granddaughters had carved pumpkins at school and the Jack-O-Lanterns were supposed to be amongst all of the ones brought to the festival. However, though we all looked, we never found them. This upset one of the girls and our son-in-law, her daddy, had to comfort her a bit (or offer her the choice of us all going back home). We knew she didn’t want to leave so soon, so we weren’t too concerned.

I would have tried to help our granddaughter, but I’ve learned not to offer unless asked. And that’s okay. I may have simply suggested she do the “Neurovascular Hold” on her forehead (to ease the fight-or-fight response) if you’re familiar with that little trick.

Richard went with us this year, I kind of forced the issue because he didn’t go last year, and we stopped into a deli/bakery for a few minutes to get out of the cold and be able to sit down. We only walked about 3,000 steps, but all of us were suffering with something, legs, hips, feet, etc. Our son-in-law’s mother went with us too, and his sister brought her little girl for a while as well. So, it was a fun time out with most of the family.

The wall of pumpkins

Our son-in-law looking for the girls’ carved pumpkins. There were also other smaller stands of Jack-O-Lanterns and we searched through them all. There were more at the festival this year than last year!
We also got to take the girls in this big store that’s part indoor flea market and part antique’s shop. People rent spaces and bring in their stuff to sell. But upstairs there’s this really cool display of vintage toy trains. I’ve seen it a couple times before but for whatever reason, it’s been hard for us to catch when it’s open when the girls are all with us. And they only run the trains from 11am-3pm on Saturdays. Thus, it’s a short window to be able to get there and enjoy it. Glad we got them in there! It made my day.

The ghosts I made for Halloween

Once home, I was in the mood to change up one of the shelves in the living room bookcase. So, here’s how that turned out:

My two clay ghosts after painting/glazing them and the second kiln firing. I can’t wait to see how they glow when I put a battery operated tea light candle underneath each of them! The Fall tree/pumpkins is fused glass that I made last year. The small bear crystal was from my mom and the dog gold crystal was in memory of our best boy, Beau (passed years ago)

Book progress

Just prior to writing this post, I sent a couple of emails out to gentlemen who had inquired about reading my book. I sent both an email of the Foreward and the chapter titles. I inquired of one who is the facilitator of an Initiative I joined a couple weeks ago. Would you like to see what I sent to them? I hope so! And please comment any ideas you might have for additional chapters or questions. This is definitely going to be the most complex book I’ve written so far, and after this, I am not sure I’m going to continue as it seems people’s attention spans are too short, and only books between 50-75 sell well. But if you feel differently, let me know.

Foreward

So many things we take on faith. That the sun will come up tomorrow. The seas will stay in place. The dwelling we live in will remain on the ground. That we will be able to eat, both due to our financial and physical abilities. And that we will even be alive with our own beating heart and brain to know who we are.

Consequently, we adhere to a lot of social and cultural norms, depending on where we live, that most we don’t give conscious awareness to, else we’d probably be more spazzed out that we are! We take a lot of things for granted. We believe most theories are true—though honestly, they are simply theories.

One of the lessons learned from writing this book, is that the phrase, We Are All Connected, envelopes myriad meanings. The phrase has also, paradoxically, taken on more of a grand overarching meaning to me as well! But as for how it applies to a person, it has dawned on me that self-love isn’t selfish because we are each a fractal of Omniscience. Each doing our individual part to ADD to the collective diamond shine and brilliance of the WHOLE. And from studying and meditating on the Oncology of Jesus the Christ, I’ve come to know that Omniscience is completely and utterly WHOLE.

Self-love means that we polish the mirror of Self every day. Thus, we shine brighter and offer more to everyone we encounter from such polishing. I won’t call it Perfection because I’ve learned that  there’s no perfection in art, and that living life is an art!

Thank you, ALL. Eternally. Much love!

Integrating the Spirals: Fall update on my plants, making Halloween art, and the house

I’m often too wordy. So, I’ll keep this short and simply give you some visual updates on what’s changed around the house. We live in the apartment attached to the back of the house, so my plants only get the afternoon sun. And the side of the house that gets the most wind is the side that shows the most wear (yes, it needs painted or siding put on it).

The house

The side that gets beat on by weather the most. The sun porch gets the worst of it. There’s some wood that needs replaced under the windows. The window to the far left is in our apartment (and it’s behind the head of my bed).
This is the worst of the wood that needs replaced.
Close up of peeling paint. It’s been ten years since it has been painted. My son-in-law would like to fix the wood and paint it so he doesn’t lose the architectural details, but my daughter would like to put siding on the house so they don’t have to paint it again.
This is the back side of the house, which is our apartment. Thankfully, we have this back door and deck because we use it a lot. I’d like to clean up the landscaping around the deck and have more lavender and such growing there, but I am simply not that fit to be out there digging up weeds, cleaning out what’s under the deck, placing pavers or rocks, etc. I can envision it, but will need someone else to do the manual labor.

My plants

These are all the herbs I repotted. This is how they looked on their last day outside (Oct. 8th, 2025). I’ll compare them to this picture in the spring when I bring them back outside after the winter is done. I have three pots of basil, three of parsley, two of oregano, and one of dill. I don’t expect the dill to do much over the winter, but the little yellow flowers are supposed to turn into seeds I can replant in the spring. We’ll see!
These are the plants that will stay outside all winter. Basil, Lavender, Peppermint, and oregano. I will figure out some better stands next spring to make this look prettier. But the plastic tub and lids were “what I had” when we moved in and I spent my money on new pots instead of plant stands, etc.
The big plant is actually five bell pepper plants that I started from seed in July. Yes, I started them too late in the season, so I didn’t expect they’d even do this good. They got to the flowering stage a couple. of weeks before it got cold. I expect by November it will be done. But we’ll see!

My spa room

I got all the plants repotted and moved indoors (by the window) last week. The door to the left goes into Richard’s music room. The silver tent is my Relax sauna. I love it! It’s the best thing I’ve bought for this room and my health! I moved all of my medicinal tinctures and supplements to the bookshelves too, so anytime I need a boost or am feeling unwell, I have everything I need right next to the sauna. After I get out of the sauna I can rest by laying down on the red light pad with its nine PEMF settings.
I moved my Therasage 7-modality heating pad upstairs to the lounge chair too, because I got us something for Christmas (it’s already here but I haven’t opened the box yet) that we’ll use downstairs (and it will provide us with MORE red light therapy)!

Two clay ghosts I made for Halloween

This was my first time working from a block of clay. And I had to flatten it out first, and that took more time than I’d thought it would. And a bit more shoulder and arm strength. But I got it done. After rolling the clay out, I wrapped it around two cone shaped paper forms to get it into the basic ghost shape:

flattening out the clay. We worked on the back of an art canvas to keep the table clean. And we used dowel rods to ensure we got the clay as thin as possible.
My two ghosts. This was how I left them at the studio before the first kiln firing.

I took some pictures of some of the other class attendees’ clay creations too!

Someone did a neat job on this jack-o-lantern and witch hat.
Clay ghost and pumpkins. They got three projects out of that one block of clay!
I really like this persons pumpkin! I never thought about adding anything to my ghosts.
This person added a hat to her ghost and did some cutouts on it too! This is going to look really cute when they finish it and set the little battery operated tea light candle under it!
And I loved this clay witch hat! Wow! Cute jack-o-lantern too, that they made a patch of grass or something underneath it to sit on.
Got the ghosts from the kiln and went back to the studio to paint them with glaze. I chose two different colors of glaze, a white and light gray for shading. We’ll see how they turn out. I’ll come back and update this post with a couple pictures after they come out of the kiln again.

I hope everyone’s ready for All Hallow’s Eve in a couple of weeks! And I hope everyone has fun and enjoys the spooky time. I’m looking forward to the annual pumpkin festival here!

Integrating the Spirals: Why I might be a Conspiracy Theorist (Part 2)

As I wrote in https://sheilamurrey.net/2025/09/08/integrating-the-spirals-why-i-might-be-a-conspiracy-theorist-part-1/, I have called myself a conspiracy theorist in the past, but now I feel I’m a “Connect-the-dots” analyst, ‘Truther,’ or ‘Conspiracy Knower,’ as my most recent purchase from The Redacted store amplifies:

Higher Education

I worked for a private university for ten years. One of the first things I learned, that’s pertinent to the subject of this blog article, was that when reading and considering any new information, to always “Consider the source.” I’ve never forgotten that. As well, I read from a variety of sources. From my university years I also learned how to have a backbone (my first supervisor hired me even when it wasn’t to her political advantage to do so-long story), how to troubleshoot, how to discern truth from lies (as one of my roles had me reporting to two supervisors from two very different departments and in essence ‘spying’ on each to return the truth to the other. It was sometimes harrowing and I had to ‘walk a fine line.’

Technically, I learned how to thoroughly investigate an issue (whether it was to determine if an ‘official’ transcript was real or a forgery from a prospective student, or the intent of a policy). I understood that just because someone said something or it was written into policy, it could be interpreted differently depending on the lens by which the listener or reading was looking through, or the time period and what was happening at the time the policy was written.

Over time I found that people will lie or ‘bend the truth’ depending upon who was signing their paycheck, or where (from whom) they were receiving their funding. Valuable lessons to have learned for sure! I wrote about some of the ‘funding’ issues I found from working for a university in my holistic health book, Have Yourself a Wholly Vibrant Life. You might wonder why I would write about ‘funding’ within a health book, but it’s a pertinent topic because medical schools receive government grants and private donor funding.

Sex, Lies, and Money

As I wrote previously, the big banks are capable of ANYTHING. Period. Full stop.

During the 2008-2009 financial crisis I watched multiple banks not only make mistakes, lose paperwork for short-sale houses (ours included and multiple times), but also hire people and then within a few days, tell those new hires that they wouldn’t be starting their new anticipated jobs after all! Talk about ‘pulling the rug out from under’ people!

The phrase, “honor among thieves’ comes to mind though I think it should be, “lies among thieves,” when thinking back on that timeframe. And I don’t think the banks have gotten any better! Who went to prison from among the fraudster bankers after that financial crisis meltdown fiasco?

And if it wasn’t bad enough that my parent’s home was taken in the mid-80s by a big greedy bank, I had to pay the state of West Virginia over $700 ransom when they allowed someone to swoop in and pay the taxes on some property my dad left me after he passed away! I didn’t get his mail in time (I did live in Florida at that time), and so I didn’t pay the property taxes within the short time frame it’s due each year. It wasn’t like it had been in arrears before either! Dad paid his taxes in person every year as soon as it was due!

So, the banks, states, and counties are ALL ready to scam people too! It sure seems much has changed since the founding of America! And there’s more than enough arguing to go around. It’s almost like these entities are all in bed together. Like they’re all having one big PARTY and we, the little guy, are NOT invited!

Screen Capture from Perplexity.ai: “Why did (the political) parties form soon after George Washington’s presidency (image 1)

Note the bullet in the preceding image that the banking industry has been disputed and debated in this country (USA) ever since the founding of it! Establishing a national bank, Federal assumption of state debts, and tariff laws! This is why we MUST “End the Fed”!

Screen Capture from Perplexity.ai: “Why did (the political) parties form soon after George Washington’s presidency (image 2)

Speaking of PARTIES, did we REALLY put a man on the moon? Well, after working for nearly seven years at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, meeting astronautical engineers (and having dinner with them), as well as, seeing all the nepotism among the employees there, backbiting, and philandering, my hunch is that we didn’t go to the moon.

The parties, and I do mean PARTIES that several engineers spoke of, involved sex and booze to the point that I cannot believe any of the astronauts or engineers could have had the clarity of mind to organize, much less accomplish, putting a man on the moon, especially with the technology available to them at the time. It was all a giant fabrication, like The Red Hot Chili Peppers sang in their song Californication, “space may be the final frontier but its made in a Hollywood basement.”

But life is not a party for me. It never has been. And I’m glad I’m not sold out to one political party over another either. I’m fiercely Independent.

I do know that I can’t control any of this. That the ‘every man’ is simply a pawn in the Globalists game. This is why I must live from Spirit, and not from Ego.

Meme: Ego vs. Spirit

They’re in DANGER now. (The Globalists.)

Integrating the Spirals: Update on resurrecting a Resurrection (Rose of Jericho) plant

The work of resurrecting a Rose of Jericho plant is taking a bit more time and effort than I’d imagined. I happened to notice that it was starting to gather some white mold on it and I have no idea why. But I thought it best to rinse off the mold and clean out the pie plate and go for a redo.

My soulie sister and fellow blogger, Debra sent me this plant months ago as a dried up plant. Debra wrote that I should watch some YouTube videos to understand and learn how to resurrect it, and I have. Many videos! (If you missed the first couple of posts about this plant, click or tap here and here.)

Check out Debra’s blog: Jaguar Spirit

Continuing to resurrect a Rose of Jericho

I thoroughly rinsed (in cold water) the Rose of Jericho and cleaned the deep dish pie plate.
I removed all the former shells, rocks, and crystals I’d placed in the plate with the plant previously. My thought was that they might have contributed to the issue. I had found some river rocks out in the yard, washed and dried them to use in the plate to hold the plant suspended over the distilled water.

Here’s the photo (top and bottom) of the empty, finished deep dish pie plate that I had forgot to take and post months ago:

I’d like to say this is the end of the story and the plant is thriving, but unfortunately, I checked on it a few days after I’d taken these photos and it was covered in white mold AGAIN! Thus, I repeated the process and am giving it another chance at life. I’ll take another photo in a few days, if it makes it and post another update. Fingers-crossed. Reiki given. And all of the above!

Integrating the Spirals: Resurrection plant

Today is the day! I am resurrecting the Rose of Jericho plant my soulie sister and fellow blogger, Debra sent me months ago. Debra was so gracious to send me this amazing plant and I will definitely think of her every time I look at it.

Thank you, sister Debra of Jaguar Spirit for this Resurrection plant!

From YouTube

Here’s how to resurrect the Rose of Jericho:

Resurrection of a Rose of Jericho plant

My version of resurrecting a Rose of Jericho

I placed many small crystals in the deep dish pie plate I made last year (I’ve done 3 of these painting classes so far). I covered the crystals with some new pine bark bits that were leftover from repotting my orchids. A bit of purified water and this is how the Rose of Jericho looks:

I’ll post another photo tomorrow and we’ll see how it looks!

Here’s the whole top shelf with the two repotted orchids (my first attempt at repotting orchids, so fingers crossed! Ha!

Orchids from Florida repotted and ‘watered’ with ice cubes per the directions that came with the first one when it was given to us.

I now see where I have been remiss to post the photos of the two empty art hand-painted bowls. I never took a finished photo of the deep dish pie plate, but it’s similar to the bowls just in a deeper blue.

I found one or two previous posts where I had shown the painting of the bowls in progress but never completed (after they came out of the kiln), so I will show the completed bowls now:

Integrating the Spirals: An Open Letter to Those Who Think AI Art Isn’t Human Art

An Open Letter to Those Who Think AI Art Isn’t Human Art

By Richard Murrey, a Songwriter, Artist, and Storyteller Who’s Seen It All

I’ve spent over 50 years creating.

Songs. Paintings. Stories.

But because there was something in me that needed to be shared with the world.

Not for fame. Not for fortune.

Today, I hear a lot of talk—especially from legal voices and internet critics—that “AI art isn’t real art,” that “you can’t copyright AI-generated work,” because, they say, it wasn’t made by a human.

To that, I say: You’ve missed the point entirely.

Yes, I use AI tools. I write songs with them. I bring old dreams to life with them.

But I don’t just press a button and walk away. I craft. I sculpt. I prompt.

And here’s what you don’t understand unless you’ve done it yourself:

The prompt is not a command—it’s a vision.

It’s a carefully chosen string of words, informed by a lifetime of experience.

It’s storytelling.

It’s composition.

It’s intention.

It’s authorship.

When I write a prompt, I’m not automating creativity—I’m collaborating with a tool. Just like a painter uses brushes. Just like a songwriter uses a guitar.

The brush doesn’t paint the picture.

The guitar doesn’t write the song.

And the AI doesn’t dream the dream.

I do.

Every prompt I write carries my voice. My style. My soul.

If you’ve never felt the rush of getting just the right tone, the right image, the right line from an AI that you guided into shape—then I understand why you might think it’s magic.

But let me assure you—it’s not magic. It’s craft.

And if copyright law doesn’t recognize that?

Well, then maybe it’s not the art that needs redefining.

Maybe it’s the law.

Richard Murrey

A creator who’s still evolving

Still dreaming

Still writing

Even if the skies have turned to brass

Art and music can help

It don’t have to rhyme. —Richard Murrey

‘Thrive in 25’ – Art Class: Fused glass jewelry

My daughter and I took a jewelry making fused glass art class last Saturday night–a week ago. It was fun because we did it together, but it was more tedious to me than fun. I still prefer the glaze/paint/carve art we did a few weeks ago (the mugs: https://sheilamurrey.net/2025/03/06/thrive-in-25-art-class-mugs-back-from-the-kiln/)

Fused glass jewelry pieces

I went to class not knowing we would make more than one thing, so I had put no thought into what I might create. Perhaps this worked in my favor, because as I played around with different colors and sizes of pre-cut glass, I remembered how I love cairns when we’re out hiking. Thus, I decided to assemble several. And my daughter found the little butterfly glass rounds, so I added those to a few of the pieces. A couple of the pieces I arranged in a particular order, such as the one that looks like a candle, with a couple of clouds above it and earth beneath. Had I really thought about it, I would have picked a piece of orange glass for the small flame instead of blue, but eh, it’s art!

I got a pic of my daughter while she was creating her pieces. She told me she didn’t have many photos of her actually crafting, so… I snapped one. I got photos of my tray of glass bits and a couple of ‘in progress’ photos of my glass projects. Then there’s a final ‘after kiln’ picture of my daughter’s projects as well as mine all together. Finally, the last photo in the gallery that follows is of our front enclosed porch too, so you can see where we’ll be playing games and having cocktails some evenings. When winter is completely done, she will move the snow shovels and such so it will even feel a bit roomier. Plus, we’re going to start some seeds too, in containers that will sit on the windowsills. The box under the table is for all of us to use to recycle cardboard in.

Still undecided

I’m still undecided about creating more AI generated music, so here I sit, reading other blogs, some books, and beginning a new exercise routine. Oh, right, and continue procrastinating about writing my 5th book. I just feel like if no one is buying the first couple of books (that I wrote myself, the two initial books were multi-authored books), then why bother! I know that’s probably not a good way to think, but that’s honestly where my mind has been at lately. Plus, I want to start my calligraphy writing/drawing stuff. Hmm… where do my days go?

About songwriting

Check out my husband’s YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/richardmurrey and specifically, any songs he put out before Feb. 2025. We counted again and he has written nearly 700 original songs!

Everything happens for a reason in the multiverse with myriad sides to every story

Yes, Everything Happens for a Reason in the multiverse and Everything Resolves to Gratitude. Knowing that each of us (as fractals) uplifts my mind and allows me to view life as a lively kaleidoscope grand design that moves about in an ever-expanding, revolving, melodious, consciousness. Even if we have to disconnect from some people, for a time.

Enjoy (IN Joy) everything and love! Be Everything All the Time. Let’s THRIVE in ’25!

Yours in expanding, coexisting (because there’s more than one-side to every story), balancing, spiraling consciousness,

About us

Richard and I play at the intersection of Energy, Spirituality, Health, and Music, to let FREEDOM ring for ALL! We’re down to earth (even if we are conspiracy theorists), yet not in the ground! We’re just dancing around in rhythm with the mystifying Multiverse… all humble like. But we’re always thinking, onward and upwards, so we keep exploring and creating!

My husband of 20 years, Richard Murrey, is an award-winning illustrator, plus he’s a seasoned guitarist, bass player, and songwriter (having penned nearly 600 original songs).

All of our 400+ original songs are available for song placement in TV, film, games, etc. Video content creators, filmmakers, podcasters, production companies, deejays, Vloggers, YouTubers, and more can use our original music and songs in movies, TV shows, video intros, and such. We’re also seeking bands to play our songs. If you know of any up and coming musical artist, please forward this blog article to them.
