June 25th – In the mirror

It’s June 25th, 2024; We have a lovely original duet country song. This is one of my favorite songs of ours for the beautiful tones and melody. I also love the way these two sing together and the transformative lyrics. A radio-ready duet country love song with exceptional vocals that blend smoothly. We’ve had two versions of this song recorded (both pro demo productions) from top-rated Beaird Studios and Steven Cooper of Nashville, TN. This was the first version that Steven did.

A love song for lovers

Here’s the one-hundred-seventy-seventh new music post for 2024, as I consistently entertain and lighten the mood with our original songs. One new song each day! This love song is such a tribute to lovers!

Love is such a multi-faceted word

Because technology changes day-by-day and love grows in multiple ways (and in various directions), songs like this are timely, but can also change or feel different depending on who’s listening and what mood their in–which is why I still enjoy listening to the original demos we had done, though often the second versions are of improved quality.

Rising stars, such as Adam Cunningham, have also sang a lot of soul into many of our pro demos, and I have a playlist on my YouTube channel of my dance favorites.

Opening to love

Whispering your name

Here’s the one-hundred-seventy-sixth new music post for 2024, as I consistently impress everyone (that clicks on the YouTube links to listen) with one of ‘oh, so many’ original songs. As this gal sings, “I thought I knew love, not until I met you.” This song sure describes how I feel about my dear husband, Richard.

How do you like the videos I’ve been sharing lately? The music videos with the lyrics on the screen. Richard created these videos a few years ago and I love the look of them. I’d planned to take them out for karaoke nights but each place I tried, either couldn’t play our USB mp3 files or didn’t have a screen to show the lyrics (these videos) from a site like YouTube. I have found some excellent karaoke people but most do not invest in the best equipment.

Karaoke

As we know, technology changes day-by-day and if one is going to go out and perform or run a karaoke operation, one must do their best to accommodate their customers (and performers). We’d run our own show but feel we’re getting too old for it.

I’ve sang in church choirs, school chorus, with a best friend as a duet (she played piano), and I’ve done karaoke singing (mostly in my 30s). I’ve sang with Richard, mostly at house parties, and a few videos, but I never wanted to be a singing ‘star.’

June 23rd – I wanna be prezident

It’s June 23rd, 2024; We have a hot original pop song for you today. It’s ripe for November election time for sure! Richard wrote some hard-hitting lyrics on this one! A radio-ready pop song that is heavy on piano licks, grand vocals by Bubba Hudson, and swift production by Steven Cooper of Nashville, TN. 

We the people

Here’s the one-hundred-seventy-fifth new music post for 2024, as I consistently parade one of our original songs out to the masses. “America is not for rent,” as this song proudly states. Have a listen and let us know what you think about this energetic and timely song. We’d love for one of the frontrunners to use this song in the USA’s upcoming November election cycle!

Of course, we’d love people of integrity to lead the country, but who has integrity anymore? It seems all the contenders are criminals in one way or another. I could go down the list of sins and check most of the boxes of anyone running for President of the USA (in any election cycle)! I feel that by the time anyone gets to the place where they have enough support to run for President, they owe so many favors, that they are all compromised! I also gave up on both the Democrat Party AND the Republican Party long ago! I am an Independent through and through, and will not allow a one or two-party system to influence me.

Propaganda

As we know, the vast majority of people have been programmed since the 1940s with radio, then later, with television (TV), and now, social media. I’ve vowed to break all of my programming and conditioning.

Each time you watch ANYTHING with commercials or ads, tell yourself you’re not going to blindly be influenced by it. Speak to your mind, speak aloud if you have to, to break the spell of the propaganda.

Integrating the Soul

Integrating Spirit means we are aware of something larger than ourselves that does not bend to dogma but created and continues to support ALL–such as the Unified Field (Omniscience God). I know there is something more because I have felt it. I have experienced it. I believe we’re in an earthly body to feel and sense things. 

I am not a Buddhist because I am not an atheist–I believe in a Creator and intervening Spirit. I believe each of us has a soul and is here to align and grow with it. But I am not an evangelical Christian because I honor all religions, I don’t personalize or anthropomorphize God, nor do I believe in a literal hell (other than the hell that humans have created here on earth). I follow the Dao. The Power that creates, supports, and sustains ALL. I believe in the inherent goodness and cycles of Nature (and of most people, even people who do wrong things–as nobody is perfect).

Guidance

I’ve often been a bit harsh when it comes to people needing religious guidance, yet I now consider myself a spiritual teacher. I have come to realize that while we strive to simply practice our beliefs, walk our talk, and so forth, sometimes we do need assistance, either from a sacred book, teacher, mentor, coach, or such.

You might also like to read the article I published a few months ago about The Book. I believe every sacred book can offer us guidance and encouragement. When people refer to the Holy Bible, I always ask “Which translation?” as I think there are so many different versions that we’d need to be ‘on the same page’ in order to have a deep dive discussion about it. I also think during the translation process a word or phrase has been altered from the original to change the meaning (purposefully or not) to suit someone’s agenda.

I think we each can grow strong enough spiritually, not to need the ‘training wheels’ of religion. I define religion as a ‘structure,’ ‘box,’ or ‘path’ that relies on discipline and duty to keep people adhering to it. I’d much rather meditate to commune with my Higher Power, God, Jesus, Krishna, Buddha, or such. But that’s because I’m a do-it-yourself, independent kind of person. I feel people need to honor that which serves them the most to grow their soul. I was always taught to study to “show thyself approved,” (biblical scripture) and thus found this to be ‘the way.’

Here’s the one-hundred-fifty-sixth new music post for 2024, as I make consistent progress in my quest to entertain and expand everyone’s consciousness with music and words.

Existentially yours

I believe a part of us exists for all time, and through all space. I write the word ‘all’ as ‘ALL’ a lot because of the experiences I’ve had, both metaphysical and ethereal. I’ve seen the whole of it ALL and I feel the ‘All That Is’ (Omniscience) permeating through everything–even rocks! I know the human body is a temple for spirit and soul, and thus, I feel it will return to the dust one day, while the spirit and soul travel on.

June 3rd – Old school sugar daddy

It’s June 3rd, 2024; We have an original rock song about the guy who raised two wives (before me). Yes, this is a true story song written (music and lyrics) by my incredible husband Richard Murrey. Bubba Hudson lent us his voice on this song and the production mix was skillfully mastered by Steven Cooper in his Nashville, TN, music studio. I imagine there were some laughs in the studio while this was being recorded/mixed. Ha!

Teaching in a new way

Here’s the one-hundred-fifty-fifth new music post for 2024, as I consistently press forward with an original song to uplift, educate, and entertain. When I first met Richard, I felt bad for him that he’d gone through so much with his two previous marriages, but later I realized, I’m glad he appreciates me more from having lived through the previous two! Ha!

Who we are today

I believe we are who we are today based on all we’ve experienced in the past. Of course, the more we can laugh while going through the process, the better, but sometimes our journeys are too difficult (to laugh at the time).

April 10th – It ain’t much but an I love you

It’s April 10th, 2024; Here’s an original country love song. It’s one of my favorite songs of ours. We rehearsed this a lot many years ago, so I carry the lyrics deep within my heart and mind. It ain’t much but an I love and I can’t go through life without kissing your sweet face. Ah!

Loving them every day

Here’s the one-hundred-first new music post for 2024, as I consistently offer one of our original songs for your enjoyment. This song is a melodic love song that grooves along with its slow-tempo beat.

Love runs deep

I’ve written a bit before a bit of love and relationship advice. And it’s funny. The more I try and simplify things invariably someone will ask for more details. My mind loves to distill complex ideas down though.

I’ve told you that ‘Love is eternal.’ Love is a phenomenon that science has yet to figure out. And the power of love bonds people together. Could it be that we carry love forward in our souls as we traverse the Universe, living life after life? It certainly feels to me that love binds and frees at the same time. Being in love is such a high. Conversely, when a loved one leaves this physical plane, we can feel so low when we miss them being in our physical reality–whether they move on or are taken by death.

Here’s a recent comment I wrote in response to someone’s post about love and romance:

March 23rd – A very timely song

It’s March 23rd, 2024; Here’s an original country song that’s very timely. It speaks to being king of the world. And what the world would be like if we were king. Such as there would be no ethnic cleansing (genocide), the CIA wouldn’t use bugs, no babies would be sold, no overcrowded prisons would exist, diseases wouldn’t cut you short, and there would be no reason to abort. There would be no need for drugs, no one to chase, no one to race, and a smile on every face! We’re ALL God’s children. We’d make some serious changes to the human heart with more compassion, love, and empathy.

Love the human race

Here’s the eighty-second new music post for 2024, as I consistently release new music on my blog site for ALL who have ears to hear. I am always thrilled to give you songs that can penetrate hearts and resonate with the soul.

My mom taught me (when I was a wee child) how to love and care for animals. My parents grew up on farms and were taught how to ethically raise and slaughter chickens, turkeys, and cows. They also hunted deer. Yet now, we often hear of people treating other humans in ways much worse than I could ever imagine someone mistreating an animal. It’s one thing to kill an animal for food, such as the Native Americans–offering a prayer to ask for it to release its spirit while giving thanks for its life. The Indigenous people used every part of the rabbit, elk, bison, or deer in one way or another to clothe and feed the tribe. It’s a very different thing than the factory farming of animals that happens today. I cannot even fathom what we’re hearing about cannibalism happening in Haiti.

Honor ALL

When we look back in history to Animism, the 50/50 blend of Spirit and Matter ancient belief that the Native peoples followed in their day-to-day life, we can appreciate how they lived and had compassion, love, and empathy for each other and the creatures they consumed. That is nearly all but lost now, in the time of Scientific Materialism.

I have been thinking a lot lately about the three words I stand for most, and Honor is high on my list. I believe we honor each other when we take the time to let each person speak, listen intently to their words and body language, and let them know we truly hear them. Then, if we disagree, we may choose to let them know, but allow each other the right to speak. That is what Free Speech means to me. One can yell, “Fire” in a theater when the theater is on fire, and that’s exactly what’s been happening. When everything is copacetic there’s no need for anyone to scream or protest. Here are a couple of examples that bear out my point:

Hitting home

Sometimes things happen that wake us up. Sometimes something happens in our hometown (like presented in the movie, Dark Waters about my hometown in West Virginia), where friends and family live, or where we live and work. And then it gets real. If I were king of the world, these things would not be happening.

This just happened in St. Petersburg, Florida USA–the town where we used to live:

March 22nd – Just enough

It’s March 22nd, 2024; Here’s an original blues song with a sizzling hot sound thanks to production at Steven Cooper’s studio in Nashville, TN. The instrumentation on this tune embraced the snappy guitar and sweet saxophone from acclaimed horn player John Heinrich. This original blues song included the vocals from our friend Bubba Hudson, who sang so many of our songs. Just enough to keep you satisfied. Ha!

Love the soul we feel

Here’s the eighty-first new music post for 2024, as I consistently release new music right here on my blog site for everyone to enjoy. And yes, I am always delighted to give you the songs that I feel the most soul when I listen.

My parents and grandparents taught me so many lessons. Music was beloved on both sides of my family. One of my cousins (Greg, Omniscience rest his soul) on my mom’s side always had music playing in his home, and one of my cousins (John) on my dad’s side of the family is a true audiophile. I am digging into the history a bit more on my mom’s side and researching the steel guitars my grandfather and grandmother played before they had their children.

Honor our relations and ancestors

My cousin Greg was always going to music festivals. He would dress up as a fuzzy bear too! I know he and his wife, Susan, and their friends all had a blast. I think I’ve mentioned we were all at one festival, Bonnaroo, yet never could find each other. One of my biggest regrets as I sooo wanted to hang out with them.

I loved festivals too, even being an emcee for many years at a yoga and music festival in St. Petersburg, FL. As much as I loved hanging out with like-minded people during these festivals, I have been feeling for a while that it’s time for me to let my friends go. We’ll soon move to New Hampshire to spend the rest of our days with my daughter, son-in-law, and three beautiful granddaughters. I’ve already missed so much with them–especially with the 7-year-old twins. I don’t have the connection with the twins that I’ve had with our 12-year-old granddaughter for many reasons. I am sooo looking forward to hanging out with them!
