An Open Letter to Those Who Think AI Art Isn’t Human Art

I’ve spent over 50 years creating.

Songs. Paintings. Stories.

But because there was something in me that needed to be shared with the world.

Not for fame. Not for fortune.

Today, I hear a lot of talk—especially from legal voices and internet critics—that “AI art isn’t real art,” that “you can’t copyright AI-generated work,” because, they say, it wasn’t made by a human.

To that, I say: You’ve missed the point entirely.

Yes, I use AI tools. I write songs with them. I bring old dreams to life with them.

But I don’t just press a button and walk away. I craft. I sculpt. I prompt.

And here’s what you don’t understand unless you’ve done it yourself:

The prompt is not a command—it’s a vision.

It’s a carefully chosen string of words, informed by a lifetime of experience.

It’s storytelling.

It’s composition.

It’s intention.

It’s authorship.

When I write a prompt, I’m not automating creativity—I’m collaborating with a tool. Just like a painter uses brushes. Just like a songwriter uses a guitar.

The brush doesn’t paint the picture.

The guitar doesn’t write the song.

And the AI doesn’t dream the dream.

I do.

Every prompt I write carries my voice. My style. My soul.

If you’ve never felt the rush of getting just the right tone, the right image, the right line from an AI that you guided into shape—then I understand why you might think it’s magic.

But let me assure you—it’s not magic. It’s craft.

And if copyright law doesn’t recognize that?

Well, then maybe it’s not the art that needs redefining.

Maybe it’s the law.

‘Thrive in 25’ – New Release! The Bullies music video

Can you sense my excitement from the subject line/headline of this blog article? This is one of the most important songs I’ve worked on to date. And it’s all about bullying. So many people deal with this, and I share a deep feeling on this topic in my soul.

The Bullies an anti-bullying song, was inspired from my reading of Michael LeFevre’s book, He Was Weird. I’ve been meeting Michael, the man behind the blogs: 80smetalman and Peaceful Rampage on Zoom. We’ve been discussing his books, He Was Weird and his in progress sequel, He Was Weird 2 (working title).

While talking about these books, I couldn’t help relive my experiences on the subject of bullying, I knew I had to get this video done so it could go far and wide. I feel I have several methods that can help children and adults regain their sense of power of the bullies in their lives. The video highlights some of the tools I use.

I’m busy almost everyday in Suno AI working on more original songs. I am enjoying the process… and I think that’s my point here. To enjoy (IN Joy) each day. And don’t let the bullies win.

It’s all on my Profile dear heart. I’m retired, writing books, promoting our original music. Sharing Super Patches for holistic health. (I didn’t used to say ‘dear’ before and always felt it a huge interruption in my day. But I’m learning to be kind.) When we know better, we do better. Right?

‘Thrive in 25’ – Thankful for artist friends like Linda

I am sooo thankful for artists friends (and blogger pals), like Linda from Creative Artworks Blog and Handmade Haven by Linda on Etsy!

I’d been reading (I forget from which blogger) that if you put a frog outside your door it will bring good luck in the new year. So, I’d mentioned to Linda of Handmade Haven by Linda on Etsy, that she might consider making a frog when she started a new wood burning project. And she did! She’s so great, she totally went for it! Linda sent me a picture of ‘Froggy’ (because we haven’t named him/her yet) and I loved it! I knew I was going to buy Froggy pronto! Linda sent me an email as soon as she posted her delightful wood burning piece on Etsy so I could order it. Of course, all along the process, Linda assured me I was under no obligation to buy it–but pretty much, I’d requested it and definitely wanted it. I knew her work and that it would be first-rate! And Froggy is aWEsOMe!

It’s December 25th, 2024; Merry Christmas! We’re bringing you a fun original song to go hand in hand with your merriment! Presley the elf frolics and rocks into your living space to add joy, while paying tribute to the one and only, Elvis Presley. We hope everyone’s had a jolly morning, full of love and surprises.

This is the three-hundred-sixtieth new music post for 2024! The music for this original was recorded several years ago at Steven Cooper’s studio in Nashville, TN. But when Richard wrote new lyrics, he wanted a realistic voice (like Elvis) on the vocals. Matt Dame does a great rendition, even mimicking Elvis at the end. Great job! I woke up too early and then fell back asleep and missed the girls’ opening of their ‘Santa gifts’ and emptying of their stockings. But our son-in-law, Mike, recorded it, so I got to see that. Unfortunately, both of the twins have had a stomach bug, so one went to bed early last night and missed the family Christmas movie, Home Alone. The rest of us enjoyed that together. And I had forgotten how touching that movie was (at the end). Yes, I cried a bit too! I was glad that while we had not put our nativity up, there was a nativity scene (twice) in the movie and I didn’t miss my opportunity to comment on it! Ha! We also agreed that ‘everything happens for a reason’ was loudly proclaimed in the story line. Had the 8 year old not been left home alone, the elderly neighbor wouldn’t have been reunited with his family! Aww!

My gift to you

I hope you got to hear my gift to you in yesterday’s daily music blog post. But if you missed it, here it is again. As it came back to me this morning as I came back home to lay in bed, both because I was tired, and because I felt a twinge in my stomach too! (I hope I’m not picking anything up from the girls, as both my daughter and Mike are sick too.)

Here’s my gift to you: a ‘healing audio‘ / spoken words turn to singing (no music). I would like to put it on a video at some point. Suffice to say, my prayer is that it helps you heal.

Always integrating

I also hope you enjoyed the Jordan Peterson and Dallas Jenkins interview within the previous Integrating the Spirals post I presented for Christmas. They speak about several things near and dear to my heart. I’ll highlight a few: 1) Storytelling without propagandizing, 2) the FREEDOM we can feel and success that can find us when we surrender our Ego, 3) the synchronicity of the miraculous when we’re humble or feel we’ve failed (even while doing big things), and 4) the humanity and divinity within Jesus and perhaps ultimately within each of us.

December 23rd – I was blinded

It’s December 23rd, 2024; We have a sizzlin’ hot rock song for ALL today! I was blinded is another FANTASTIC song sung by the ragin’ Adam Cunningham! I’ve told you before, Adam shares so much SOUL in his voice. He amazes us! This song should definitely be a HIT! This is the three-hundred-fifty-eighth new music post for 2024! The end of the year is near! And I’m rolling out some new things on Jan. 1st, 2025 to see if I can encourage MORE communication between us ALL and more camaraderie. I’d love to begin meeting on group Zoom calls, but I know most of us have limited space in which to do so, which is one reason we blog. We can read, listen to, or watch blog posts at our leisure and private moments. And that’s a very cool thing.

We had a fantastic Christmas celebration yesterday!

Our first Christmas celebration did not disappoint! We had a great time watching our three granddaughters open many wrapped boxes with eager anticipation erupting in paper flying about the living room. And every gift was very appreciated, which is always the best! We ate lots of delicious food! Everything was yummy! I grabbed one photo from my daughter’s Facebook post, because I didn’t even bring my camera over to their house. I opted to stay fully present and engaged in every moment! We all chowed down and then the girls opened their presents. The adults opened gifts last. We received new thick and comfy long robes (we didn’t have any before, so these were an aWEsOMe gift from Marie and son-in-law, Mike)! And we received Hickory Farms meat and cheese tray with cutting board and cheese knife, from Mike’s mom and husband, which was totally unexpected! (Isn’t that cool?)

The bourbon balls I made are bottom left, and fruit cake soaked in Irish whisky is next to that in the white bowl. The holiday bacon is harder to see, it’s in my teal painted stoneware bowl in the left picture top right corner, and I love that my son-in-law’s hand is in the photo! Ha! Our eldest granddaughter is wearing the ‘let it snow’ t-shirt. We also contributed a tin of fancy cookies from Europe. My daughter, Marie, made a delicious spinach dip in a bread bowl and son-in-law made the chocolate chip cookies. YUM! We had mini corn dogs (I’d never had those before, tater tots, and lots of meat, cheese, and crackers. Marie put this whole spread together–she’s an amazing organizer! –Photos from Marie Lemire.

And then, we rested

New ‘old’ book: *Worlds in Collision* by Immanuel Velikovsky. Have you read this book? (Let me know in the comments.) This book came highly recommended by Alex Lipton during our monthly Dr. Bruce Lipton community Zoom call on Saturday. I hope some of the folks in the chat pictured here don’t mind me sharing their names! (Yes, I usually get permission.) I wanted you to see WHAT we were chatting about though! Let’s start getting some folks signed up for my daily expanding consciousness emails. These will be short emails every day of insights and downloads to expand our consciousness. I get many insights from my time in meditation, usually now, while in the sauna and I feel these need to be shared. As well, some of the information is not for public blog publication. See my email in the image and use that to let me know if you want to join.

As well, I will setup a monthly Zoom call, perhaps the second Monday or Thursday of the month so we can further our discussions. Music, ancient and sacred sites, crystals, whatever you want to discuss further! Also, let me know the best time of the day we can do this based on your timezone. I am on NY time, Eastern time zone in the USA. Your reward for reading this far and signing up early is that you will always be in the group for FREE! Forever, no matter if I ever start charging for it in the future (as I may have to charge something in the future if the group grows beyond whatever number of callers are allowed on each Zoom call–currently I think that’s 100 attendees).
