California – the crunchy state

Yes, our original song, Sunset, is supposed to be funny. It’s tongue-in-cheek for sure. Hence, what a great song about California. I’ve always been told California was the home of crunchy moms (full of fruit and nuts). True story: When I started talking about God and Spirituality at work a few years ago, a coworker called me a ‘crunchy mom.’ (Thanks Scott!)

We watched an old movie, Sideways, late last night. It’s a relationship movie (not quite a romantic comedy) set in California and includes some beautiful scenery. The film shows a lot about the wine-making (and wine-tasting) process. My daughter and son-in-law loved it–laughing uproariously to several scenes! The movie stars Paul Giamatti, Thomas Hayden Church, Virginia Madsen, and Sandra Oh. If you’ve never seen it, you are missing a true classic! I kid California,that it’s never been a state where I wanted to live, but I give them a bit of credit, for making some great entertaining films and for their wine country. Is there anything else I’m missing? Do you like California?

It’s July 18th, 2024; We have an original rock song for you today called The Connection. This is not only one of my favorite songs my darling husband has written but inspired by one of our late-night, ‘slumber party-like’ pillow-talk conversations! Here’s the two-hundredth new music post for 2024, as I consistently uncover ways to feel better and enjoy (IN Joy) life–while we’re living! I was Richard’s muse for this song as I went into a stream-of-consciousness (SoC) rant about how when I die to this earthly plane, elements of me (my body) will come back up and through the roots and hedges to nurture and feed future generations. It’s the perfect follow-up to yesterday’s post (where I talked about the passing of three celebrities).

Creation and Destruction

‘Be careful what you wish for‘ applies here. I have long said, “You can create and destroy with the same stick.” It seems reasonable and logical that you can hold a stick in your hand and use it as a magic wand to create something, as well as use it to crush something. Notice, with that one stick in your hand, when you shake one end of it, the other end shakes as well–in the opposing direction.

We watched an old movie last night with the kids. My daughter and I both cried during Project X, starring Matthew Broderick and Helen Hunt. I think inherent in our human nature we know we’re a living being, part of the greater ALL of living things. We feel it when any other thing is hurt or killed, so even when we watch a movie that we know is fake (whether based on a true story or not, the movie is simply a portrayal of the original events).

Grateful for life

July 17th – Sad genius

It’s July 17th, 2024; We have an original upbeat rock song for you today about intelligent people. I feel it’s one of the best self-reflective songs my dear husband has ever written! Bubba Hudson adds his strong vocals to this high-energy song. And I needed this today. Steven Cooper of Nashville, TN crafted this radio-ready, pro demo to lift our spirits.

Watching society beg, borrow, and steal–(and cross over)

Here’s the one-hundred-ninety-ninth new music post for 2024, as I consistently unravel mysteries and encourage you to tap your toe, get moving, and feel better. Even when I go a bit dark, or as my husband says, “get too morbid,” I still try to focus on the good and lighter side of life. (I’ve been in a funk since reading about some celebrity passings.)

Nod to Richard Simmons (and condolences to his family and friends), who passed away the other day (I used to love his Sweatin’ to the Oldies tape)! I was up late the other night reading about his life. I am always dismayed when people who exercise and eat right die! UGH

Shannen Doherty (who was nine years younger than me!) also passed away the other day–shocking! My children (when they were teens) and I were big fans of 90210 and later of Charmed. I am still baffled why people with money (think Steve Jobs) die of cancer in this day and age. 

Dr. Ruth also crossed over to the Other Side–I was a big fan of hers! I’m glad she lived a good long life though! Dr. Ruth nearly made it to 100! I guess good humor and sex is helpful to longevity.

Tear it all down

I feel these days the ‘Left’ wants to tear it all down so the ‘Right’ can rebuild it! Or perhaps it’s the other way around with too much Capitalism, Corporatocracy, Good-old-boys club, etc. As soon as I think I have figured things out, I don’t think I know anything!

We watched the last two episodes of The Acolyte last night (we don’t have the Disney channel but our daughter and son-in-law do). Our son-in-law has followed Star Wars forever and understands all plots and characters even better than Richard and I do–but I must say Richard nor I were very happy with the first few episodes (too WOKE for us). But I am so glad we stuck it out until the end. I think the writers did a good job of circling back around to explain a lot of things. We’ll see if Disney puts out another season of this though, because the fans have been not too happy with it (of the YouTube and blog posts I’ve seen up to this point).

Yes, Everything Happens for a Reason and Everything Resolves to Gratitude. Knowing that each of us (as fractals) uplifts my mind and allows me to view life as a lively kaleidoscope grand design that moves about in an ever-expanding, revolving, melodious, consciousness. I always say the truth lies somewhere between, and that there are multiple sides to every story (which is why I use the mirror ball and kaleidoscope in my Integrating the Spirals sessions), to teach about forgiveness and understanding. I am always happy when I see circular stories, or movies such as Sliding Doors and Interstellar that offer us insights into why people do the things they do, their intentions and motivations included if possible. The Good Wife is another episodic TV show that we never saw when it originally aired, though we had friends who raved about it. We’re hooked on it now (in syndication).

Don’t get close to the man in the mask

It’s hard to believe everything we’ve all experienced in the last four years was real. But yes, sad to say, most of us have lost loved ones, and sadly, most were kept secluded or at least six feet apart from each other–yet hugs are healing! Our connections to each other are real, whether we believe it or not. And humans need to be touched. We seek and yearn for Connection (the topic of my 5th and current book underway). No matter who becomes the President of the USA, let’s no longer take one masked man’s theory on how to handle any health crisis, okay? (Especially a man who claims he doesn’t remember what he said).

Screen capture: “Masks wore worn. People trusted the narrative.” From a Children’s Health Defense (CHD) email. My thought: Let us not forget this man behind the mask who told us HE was ‘The Science.’ We were right to question the narrative.

We watched the two latest Ghostbusters movies over the past two nights. It was so great to sit and watch these movies on our son-in-law’s big screen projector screen and laugh with my them. My daughter and son-in-law had seen Ghostbusters: Afterlife (but Richard and I hadn’t), and they’d ordered the later one, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, from Amazon and had been waiting two years to see it. Our son-in-law always makes sure we see prior shows and movies before watching any new releases. He’s super sweet that way (and he owns more DVDs than we do)! We all gasped and howled during the movies. It was a great time! What saddens me are all the years we lost due to the pandemic/plandemic and how similar the word ‘demic’ is to ‘demonic.’

July 15th – The last revolution

It’s July 15th, 2024; We have an original rock anthem song about waking the human mind. Bubba Hudson sings this timely song. And Steven Cooper of Nashville, TN provides the pro demo. Sometimes we wonder if life imitates art, or if art imitates life. When I watched the video made for this song, I take note of the scenes that align with stuff that’s happened recently. Ah, the world revolves, so why shouldn’t all else circle back around? 

Using up every resource

Here’s the one-hundred-ninety-seventh new music post for 2024, as I consistently share our hot new music to expand your consciousness and feed your soul. We’ve been querying different sources to assess every angle of the attempted assassination of former President Trump. No matter how it happened, was allowed to happen, or setup, one thing is sure–it heightens awareness of the upcoming Presidential election like few others.

Wrapping our heads around

It’s hard to wrap one’s head around all the violent situations occurring in our world. I know it’s easier to simply turn a blind eye to it all. In fact, I have shook up many on Facebook when I post things about Fauci, the emergency medical intervention, UFO’s, and such. I know and understand that waking up is hard to do. And I don’t know if becoming awake and aware will change anything! It all seems so much larger than life. It does seem to me that something bigger than ourselves is ‘pulling all the strings’–politically, financially, and so on.

We watched President Biden address the nation regarding the assassination attempt on former President Trump (via this YouTube with Candace Owens), where he spoke of our nation needing to unify.

Come together

Yes, Everything Happens for a Reason and Everything Resolves to Gratitude. Knowing that each of us (as fractals) uplifts my mind and allows me to view life as a lively kaleidoscope grand design that moves about in an ever-expanding, revolving, melodious, consciousness. The Beatles sang it best in the song, Come Together.

As I have taught about the rainbow, each distinct color within the visible spectrum is unique but blends at the edges to form the overall appearance of a rainbow. As does the rainbow, each of us can band together to form an alliance–if we desire it and agree. But what will we agree on? If we stand together, we are stronger, but perhaps we fear that a ‘mob rule’ mentality will leave out those on the margins? Is it possible to be inclusive when so many issues fractionalize us?

It’s June 28th, 2024; We have an original country love song for you today. This is a traditional-sounding country song. It’s gender-neutral. Here’s the one-hundred-eightieth new music post for 2024, as I consistently put forward a new original, unique song to uplift and entertain:

My second child, was why I stayed with my first husband (for the first few years).

My son (now in his 40s), was conceived after I went to the movies with my best friend and saw Endless Love. To say the film, Endless Love influenced me would be an understatement! The movie touched my heart so deeply that though I knew I was in a bad marriage, I left the theater and headed home thinking about having another baby (and subsequently, that’s what happened).

I don’t think my first husband wanted another child. He, nor his family, were that excited about us having a boy either (our first was a girl). Since I was young I knew I wanted at least two children (by the same man) because I’d been an only child and didn’t want to wish that experience on a child. Also, I had friends in my teens who had one baby by one guy and then more by others and had all kinds of trouble with visiting them, collecting child support, etc. I never wanted to deal with that!

After I had my baby boy, I began thinking about how programmed and conditioned we are by Hollywood. The movies they make in Hollywood are supposed to reflect life and human nature, but I get more and more the feeling that the ‘powers that be’ subconsciously steer us in certain directions. There’s just too much political motivation in most shows (especially Disney these days), unfortunately. I see through their charade!

I’ve forgiven my first husband (long ago) for the unhappy marriage we both endured. We fought too much. I yelled and cried too much. But we brought two children into the world who are now loving, productive citizens. I am glad we had the opportunity to live on the same off-grid property with my son a few years ago (though I was still working from home then and doing all the off-grid stuff was hard). It gave me a chance to really get to know and love my son for the person he’s become. And now, I’m getting the same opportunity with my daughter–as we live next door to her and our granddaughters. Well, life goes on, as ‘they’ say! Forgive and let live in love.

June 27th – Toy soldiers

It’s June 27th, 2024; We have an original jazz blues rock song about those who grew into soldiers. Bubba Hudson sings this slow-tempo jazzy bluesy rock story song. A beautiful tribute to our Veterans. A radio-ready original song mixed by Steven Cooper in Nashville, TN. 

Like brothers soldiers are family

Here’s the one-hundred-seventy-ninth new music post for 2024, as I consistently present a new original, unique song to educate, and in this case, honor our soldiers and Veterans:

I must say this song touches my heart. I am so grateful for the men and women who serve and have served in our Armed Forces to keep the USA free. And one of our first freedoms was the freedom of speech. 

Freedom to speak freely allows everything I publish in this blog and in our songwriting to happen. I recognize “loose lips sink ships,” and that a proper and moral government (people of integrity within it) has made our nation what it is today and that if we turn our back on the principles that made it great, we could lose it. But I also respect the whistleblowers when the government becomes too large, unwieldy, and tyrannical (or worse, dictatorial)! For these reasons, I am glad Julian Assange is now free to return to Australia. 

People lose interest in things (like fighting the good fight). I wish nations didn’t need soldiers but at this stage in our collective awareness/consciousness, some people still believe we need to rule with the heavy hand of fear (or more leaders and people in government are corrupt than I’d care to imagine). I can’t see into that murky abyss. I only know what motivates me.

If you stand for something do it now before people lose interest. Most of us have short attention spans. People grow up and grow old. This is why whatever we sincerely feel we need to do needs to be done now.

Love and honor

Yes, Everything Happens for a Reason and Everything Resolves to Gratitude. Knowing that each of us (as fractals) uplifts my mind and allows me to view life as a lively kaleidoscope grand design that moves about in an ever-expanding, revolving, melodious, consciousness. The more love, honor, and respect for ALL, the freer the world becomes. Freedom is a great lubricant to keep the ‘machine’ of a country working.
