I’ve got a few pictures from our eldest granddaughter’s 13th birthday party (no faces though, parental preference–sorry). But this is enough to give you an idea of what kind of place this was. We were thrilled that they had a large enough viewing area for the parents, and grandparents, and that is was quiet (behind a glass wall). Ha!
Birthday play
Jenn is such a runner! Jaclyn was great on the balance beam. And Jewel amazed us with her hand strength (grip strength) on the rings. Wish I had gotten a video of her on the rings–Richard said she looked like a professional!) I have pictures of all the other kids, but cropped most out. I think there were 9 in attendance all together–3 were boys and one of the boys’ little sister attended too. All good kids. There were no arguments, etc. No injuries. They had this room for an hour and there were two trainers watching and instructing as well. One of the boys was able to climb the wave wall to the top and all of us parents cheered!

Case in point, while we were watching all the kids play at the party yesterday, my son-in-law’s sister mentioned her little 6 year old girl went to a summer camp and came back telling her (in a surprised and questioning way) that girls could marry girls. I’m glad I have learned to mind my own business and keep my mouth shut! Ha! (I personally think that’s a bit too young for those kinds of conversations, but who am I? LOL)

Today’s our eldest granddaughter’s 13th birthday party (it’s not her actual birthday, but she’s only home one weekend a month–due to visitation rules), and we’re taking her to a place she’s always wanted to go. We’ll have cupcakes, cookies, etc. and she’s able to bring a few friends with her as well, so it should be a great time. I will have to miss my monthly Zoom call today with Dr. Bruce Lipton, but I know the group will understand. And I can watch the replay in about a week when Bruce’s nephew, Alex, gets it uploaded to the Bruce Lipton commUnity portal. (I love that!)

The dentist visit went well
I wore my FREEDOM Super Patch to help turn off any pain during the visit, and I believe it worked! Plus, during the whole time in the dental chair, I moved my conscious thoughts to my toes, fingers, and other parts of my body (by doing specific little practices that I teach). This helped me to focus my mind elsewhere in the body, a holistic approach, versus waiting to be poked or prodded the wrong way, or expect to feel pain in association with the work being done.
Because my daughter’s ortho appointment had been moved up to 12:30 pm instead of 1 pm (she’d asked for 1 pm and had it booked that way because of my preceding dental appointment), I suggested she leave me at the dentist and go ahead and go to her appointment. And she did. I was feeling that comfortable with the dentist and his assistant! Something I had not been very sure about the first time there, so again, I noticed my improved comfort level.
The dentist was very gentle, I didn’t even feel the needle when he numbed my jaw. And I know that’s a hard nerve to numb, after so many prior dental visits for work on back molars. Oh, and he even counted down as the numbing agent went in so I would know it was about over. I think he must work on children and nervous adults. He has quite the gentle manner and demeanor. We decided to fill a cavity at the gemlike (I’d told him I had felt there was something wrong with that tooth, which is why I had wanted it pulled). But he advised I try to keep it a bit longer since it will help secure the lower partial plate. I know they took all the x-rays (which I paid for), in order to have a way to convince me to keep my teeth–it bolsters their side of the argument, I guess one could say. And though this is going to cost me more money than just having the teeth removed and getting full dentures, I suppose I can live with it. At the moment, I am still about 50/50 on whether a partial is better than a denture. But okay.
Speaking of surprises
Since I got the check for $1,156. from the Florida dentist the other day, I am more inclined to spend it on my mouth now. Can you believe it took them so long to get that refund to me? It will be 3 years in December that they’ve owed me over a thousand dollars! It makes me wonder how many other dentists, doctors, hospitals, etc. hold money on patient accounts and never return it! I bought a couple of books today
He Was Weird by Michael D. LeFevre
Typically, I buy Kindle books, but Michael and I have been reading each other’s blogs (link to 80smetalman blog on WordPress) for quit a while; Michael writes a lot of music posts. Michael wrote the book, He Was Weird, about bullying. A subject that hits home for me, as I was bullied as a child. I have wanted to read this book for a while but kept putting it on the back burner (I have quite a few books I’m in the process of reading right now).
I ordered the paperback of He Was Weird today though, and will hand it down to my granddaughters when I’m done. I want to share it with them in hopes that it will help them understand that boys can get bullied too and how they might deal with it, or cope, should they meet someone in Michael’s shoes one day. I think every book helps us understand the world better. I am looking forward to receiving this paperback. I love connecting with other bloggers on WordPress and supporting each other as we write and market our books.
GOD in a backpack YOU
I met Lucia Herger a couple of weeks ago in the Be Awesome Network on Facebook (Interview #88). I knew right away that we ‘clicked’ and were ‘birds of a feather.’ So, I reached out to her for a Zoom call. It took us a few days to actually connect though, due to our schedules, and time zone difference, not to mention, tech challenges. Ha! Good old Technology. We love it, we hate it, but thankfully, it brings people together!
Lucia talks a LOT about how we’re all living in Paradis today, well, as she says, we’re living in Heaven on Earth. So, as I said earlier, it was fitting I speak about her book today, since I’m sharing our ‘Paradise today’ song.

Uh, oh! (Speaking of moving)
In one of those series of cascading events, painful and humorous moments, my daughter and I went out to an art class last night and both ended up hurting ourselves. Not from drinking either! In separate events, my daughter had been sitting on her couch, cross-legged. One of her legs fell asleep and when she got up, she thought she could just ‘walk it off.’ She’s done that in the past with no problem, but not last night! She put too much weight on her left foot and ROLLED her whole foot over on her ankle (toes went completely underneath her foot)! She called her husband to come downstairs (he does Live YouTube streaming on a gaming channel), and he said she was crying so hard he thought someone died! He came over to coordinate things with me (because the twins were in bed, oldest was at her dad’s and not home to watch them), so he could take her to the ER. I got out of bed too fast, to answer the door and twisted my leg or something and got a twist in my right knee!!! Already dealing with sciatica, I knew this wouldn’t be good, and then I wasn’t much in a mood to go next door, but sat down in a chair by our door to chat with him. After I got back in bed, I began laughing at the absurdity of the whole situation.
At the art class, we sat with a lady who was wearing two boots, one on each foot, and I could just envision my daughter getting one of those and wondered if we’d unconsciously set ourselves up for this! Uh, oh!
Our son-in-law took my daughter to an Urgent Care center this morning. I kept tabs on the twins. She has a divot in the bone. Not sure how long she has to wear the boot! She’s having trouble on the stairs, but think she will be able to drive in a day or two.

Sound and frequency: Cymatics
I think I’m going to start playing some music beside my knee! I’ve got four tubes of various remedies to put on it, and I’ve already used the magnesium (I used to sell), this morning. It’s about 50% or 60% better now than it was last night. Plus, I’ve figured out how to walk and sort of use one side of that foot so I don’t put pressure on the whole knee. Thanks to what I learned years ago from Feldenkrais sessions I had! I offered the lotions and ointments to my daughter too, but she’s going to leave the long boot on for a while.
Sharing what works for me
I am so thankful for the FREEDOM Super Patch that allows me to continue to do household chores; I doubt I will do my stair climbing today! I will do some yoga, qigong, and Yamuna though and wear 4 or 5 patches. The FREEDOM patch helps a LOT with pain.

Super Patch – An at home business!
I have always had some kind of at home business, simply for the tax advantages, if nothing else. But while I am not a ‘sales person,’ I do love to share what has worked for me, in case it might help others. That’s it! Pure and simple motivation. No hidden agendas!
I’m wearing either three or four patches a day for 90 days to do the weight loss challenge. I’m wearing Liberty, Ignite, Peace, and Defend, and the Freedom patch to relieve the sciatica–and IT WORKS! I am so thrilled!

Yes, Everything Happens for a Reason and Everything Resolves to Gratitude. Knowing that each of us (as fractals) uplifts my mind and allows me to view life as a lively kaleidoscope grand design that moves about in an ever-expanding, revolving, melodious, consciousness. Even if we have to disconnect from some people, for a time.

September 12th – Lovin’ done right
It’s September 12th, 2024; We have an original rockin’ country song for you today. Exciting guitar, vocals, and fiddle in this one! “Darlin’ if you come with me, I think you’ll feel the chemistry” as the song says! This song was sung by the wonderful, Ron Wallace. The FUN radio-ready song was professionally mixed by Steven Cooper, Nashville, TN. This will get us dancin’ (or stair-climbing). Ha!

When I woke up at 2 am last night with self-imposed indigestion, I read some more in Susan’s book, Extreme Prejudice. Thankfully, though it annoyed me (the ineptitude of our government), I fell back asleep.

Don’t give away your FREEDOMS
The more I see regarding the Harris/Trump debate, either in memes or comments on posts, the more I see people willing to give up their FREEDOMS; they are more than willing to trade freedoms for security. What most people fail to understand is that once freedom is gone, we have a totalitarian government. And then, when their government is wrong, there’s no path back to FREEDOM.
Super Patch for weight loss
Right now, the Super Patch holistic health team I’m on is running a contest for those of us who want to release excess weight. If you want to lose weight, you might want to join now and get in the contest. I’ve been told they’re going to give away some great prizes, and as you know, I’m good at winning contests! Haha!
I’m wearing either three or four patches a day for 90 days to do this challenge. I’m wearing Liberty, Ignite, Peace, and Defend. My friend, Kary Kruger, who introduced me to these patches, she and her adult daughter have both lost/released 40 pounds in the last year (yes, they move more than I do, and probably eat better/cleaner than me, but if I can drop even half that, I’ll be on track to release more next year). I am doing my stair-climbing daily, the patches have eased all the joint stiffness and crap I’d had for a bit more than a year, so I am very thankful for that! And I am back to my daily yoga and qigong, along with some Energy Medicine (I do Jin Shin Jyutsu, a type of body holding if you’re not aware of it).
As far as costs go, the patches are much less expensive than any other diet/exercise program I’ve bought before, so we’ll see. I’ll report my progress or frustration, either way.
