November 15th – I’ve got a taste for you

It’s November 15th, 2024; We’ve got a fun country song for you today. There are many ways I could spin this song. Oh, yes, it’s multifaceted too! And I’ll offer three different thoughts on this song in the paragraph that follows the music video.

This is the three-hundred-eighteenth new music post for 2024! Is a bit tongue-in-cheek. I needed a bit of fun to uplift me this morning, and this song was next in line! Richard wrote this song years ago, but did a rewrite and hired a pro female singer to redo it (a couple years ago). I believe originally the music came out of Steven Cooper’s music studio. First, I’ve been researching food the past few days, thanks to Robert F. Kennedy Jr. highlighting the chemicals in our food (here in the USA), that are NOT in the same food sold in to other countries (because those other countries ban the chemicals). Also, while I love to eat for the taste, I’m now on a mission, or journey for those of you who like to use softer words, to release excess weight by detoxing–no taste involved. Second, I have a churning stomach after reading an article I just reblogged about The Onion buying InfoWars for pennies on the dollar (and turning it into a parody). So, I guess this is always why I give you a taste of politics in my blog articles. And lastly, we’ve got Thanksgiving coming up soon (in the USA), and most of us will be overeating. I don’t think over indulgence in any one thing is good for us. But who am I?

While our family has changed, we have had twin granddaughters come into the world since then (they’re turning 8 in a few months), and my parents have passed away (mom in 2017 and dad in 2019), and my son’s wife passed and we’re no longer in much contact with her children (whom I had said made me a great grandmother), and my son has remarried and we’ve not met his new wife yet (she has children from a former marriage too). Yes, Everything Happens for a Reason and Everything Resolves to Gratitude. Knowing that each of us (as fractals) uplifts my mind and allows me to view life as a lively kaleidoscope grand design that moves about in an ever-expanding, revolving, melodious, consciousness. Even if we have to disconnect from some people, for a time.

I love Richard’s life stories. Richard has taught me sooo much in the 20+ years we’ve been together. His knowledge and wisdom are broad and vastly superior to anyone I’ve ever known. That’s saying a lot too, because my parents were super intelligent and wise. Though I don’t think Richard has faced as many moral ambiguities as my parents did. Then again… maybe he has! Ha! I don’t think we can ever really know a person. We’re all just too multifaceted.

I asked my daughter yesterday, “What good is all of my life experience if I can’t help people?” And my husband feels the same way. We can preach here via this blog, my books, and Richard’s original songs, but if people aren’t willing to read, listen, or learn from us, what are we (and our vast life experiences) good for?
