Integrating the Spirals: Exploring The Last Deception

Yes, the title drew me in too. I feel we’ve been deceived many times, not only by our politicians, but by the powers that be, belief systems, books, creeds, dogmas and perhaps, gasp, even unseen forces.

From watching The Lazarus Initiative’s Symposium 55, I really dug into The Last Deception: The Collapse Of The Abrahamic Spell conversation between Sacha Stone and special guest, Dave Emery. Those of you who ordered and/or are currently reading my new book, may have already noticed I pull several quotes from guests, and Sacha as well, from my time watching/listening to the interviews and conversations within the most recent symposiums on The Lazarus Initiative. I’m a Bronze level member of the group.

This talk is billed as “a forensic examination of inherited belief structures and how they continue to shape power, geopolitics, and collective psychology.” And it turns out that is a good way to describe it.

Dave opens by presenting some astonishing and albeit, controversial information and lays out a case for why we seem to do things without thinking, or things that we later wonder “why did I do that”? And that is because we’re being vicariously lived through (by angelic or fallen ones), who created a language matrix within us so we’d live out of our heads and not our hearts. It’s deep discussion that I feel I would need to listen to many times, along with reading Dave’s book, Beyond the Biblical and Into The Universe of You, to dare understand. But if this interests you, you may want to join the Lazarus Initiative and do the same. I have several other books to read first though, so I may return to this in a year or so. I will say, it interests me though it may also be misleading me or taking me off the snail’s path to veer into further mysteries! In other words, I may simply not be up to the task!

During the talk Dave said, (and I quote but also cut some out for brevity’s sake), “Christianity was taken over effectively around 325 AD, exploding very quickly into the minds and hearts of men and women throughout the mediterranean. Once the Romans became involved (think Constantine about 313 AD), it was clear to the controllers/elites trying to control the geosocial pattern and behaviors of humanity, that if they weren’t careful, Christianity could begin to action things of Melchizedek; I Am codes, sacred codes by which we were to live. The Cathars were becoming important and were totally into the sacred codes. There was a great need not just to control the narrative through the Bible that was carefully vetted and organized through the 325 AD Council of Nicea and a great need to sideline humanity from the sacredness of the Christos. As a result, it’s curious that Abraham, the instigator of the Christian one God religion, Jehovah, should suddenly, also miraculously through a servant girl, Hagar, and her son called, Ishmael, manifest a competing religion. Originally, it didn’t compete but very quickly it did. And that became (now he quoted Sacha, an excellent mechanism for ‘divide and conquer’). That would set one group of angelic humans against another. And that would spread across the world and completely control and reinforce the matrix code to ‘do as you are told’, with rules and regulations. Very little of this has actually changed (laws and orders); but some are waking up. Most continue to follow the code religiously (pun intended).”

Dave Emery’s writing on religion appears to argue that biblical faith has profoundly shaped Western history, but that human history and identity extend far beyond a strictly biblical framework. His work presents religion as part of a larger story of hidden, ancient, and often overlooked cultural forces, rather than as the whole explanation for civilization. And yes, I found myself disagreeing with Dave on a few points within his talk with Sacha Stone. But since I agree that we should “do away with dogma” in general, I do believe the person of Christ Jesus walked the earth 2,000 years ago and performed every miracle as recorded in the New Testament. I know some of you will agree with me and some will vehemently disagree. This post is mostly for those who disagree, which is why I titled it “Exploring The Last Deception.” I attempt to keep an open mind though, as that’s what I teach/share in Integrating the Spirals.

Dave’s main ideas

  • Dave treats the Bible as historically influential in law, finance, morality, and cultural development, especially in Western societies.
  • He questions why the Bible has had such a central role and uses that question as a starting point for broader historical inquiry.
  • He argues that the real human story is “way more ancient” than a book about religion or God, suggesting that religion is only one layer of a much larger narrative.
  • His language implies skepticism toward inherited religious explanations and a desire to move “beyond the biblical” toward deeper or forgotten origins.

Comparatively speaking

Dave’s writing seems exploratory, mystical, and revisionist rather than devotional or doctrinal. It is less about defending a tradition and more about reinterpreting religious history as part of a hidden framework of human development.

While I agree that the Bible has influenced our laws, financially, morally, and culturally I’m not sure that’s a bad thing. Unless of course, we do not want to be beholden to a “rule of law” and want to be sovereign individuals. But then, as sovereign individuals, who holds us accountable? Who guides our morality? And who punishes those evil doers, such as the murderers, rapists, pedofiles, etc.?

I’ll add this for your consideration, it’s part of what I’ve learned from the little pamphlet by E. Raymond Capt, “Abrahamic Covenant” that states, “Going back to the establishment of the first colonies, we find that in 1606, King James I of England, who issued the first Charter, began with these words: “We greatly commending, and graciously accepting of, their desires for the furtherance of so noble a work, which may be the providence of Almighty God, hereafter tend to the glory of His Divine Majesty, in propagating the Christian religion to such people as yet live in darkness and miserable ignorance of the true knowledge and worship of God.” And subsequent Charters in 1609 and 1611 contain the same religious reference. Pilgrim fathers who risked their lives and limbs to cross the sea did so “for the glory of God and advancement of the Christian faith.”

Now, Dave’s points seem to say that our Christian faith, and those of these early American pilgrims had been overtaken or hijacked by ethereal parties for their own intended purposes, as so to deceive us from the true Light of Christ. And perhaps that could be true, but to what end I ask? What might their goal be?

Continuing a bit more from Capt’s pamphlet, “In 1620, the Pilgrims, in their tiny boat the Mayflower, crossed the broad Atlantic to accomplish the noble words expressed in their now famous compact: “Having undertaken for the glory of God, and the advancement of the Christian faith, and the honor of king and country, a voyage to plant the first colony in the northern parts of Virginia.”

Spiral thought: A lot seemed to be going on in the early 1600s! Consider this: The Apocrypha (14 books of the Bible) were removed from the Protestant Bible, primarily in the 19th century, though they were separated by Martin Luther in the 16th century. These books—which appeared in the 1611 King James Bible—were excluded because they were not in the Hebrew Bible and were deemed less authoritative than canonical texts. Curious, like I am, about what these 14 books were and what’s in them? Stay tuned for my next post!

The Last Deception in one sentence

Emery’s writing on religion reframes the Bible as an important historical force, but not the final explanation for human history, which he believes is much older, broader, and more mysterious.

The main thesis of The Last Deception is that the Bible predicts a final, end-times deception in which Satan counterfeits God’s work and leads people away from truth before Christ’s return. And I find that interesting since Dave told Sacha that he didn’t believe in a specific person named, Christ Jesus. Unless in his book he’s referring to the return of the Christ Consciousness (and while I allow room for that, it seems illogical to me to believe in THAT yet not believe in the son of Almighty God in the personage of a man named, Christ Jesus (remember, ‘Christ’ is a title).

The piece frames this deception as more than ordinary false teaching: it is a climactic spiritual delusion tied to the “lawless one,” the restraining of evil, and the role of Satan in the last days. It presents the coming deception as a counterfeit of divine indwelling and a warning that people can be persuaded into accepting falsehood as truth.

Dave’s central message seems to be: the end of history will feature a powerful, spiritually dangerous lie, and believers need to recognize it before it takes hold. Thus, The Lazarus Initiative’s Symposium 55, held my attention through the discussion of The Last Deception: The Collapse Of The Abrahamic Spell between Sacha Stone and special guest, Dave Emery. But I will need to sit with the information for a while, and get through some other books before I delve further.

Perhaps, I am content on this Good Friday, in my current knowledge and belief system, guided by my forefathers who crossed the vast Atlantic, and the steadfastness of our American founding fathers who framed our Constitution. If only the people who now hold the power of our government would align with that and work within its framework, not against it.

While we may have been, and may continue to be deceived by our politicians, so-called leaders within the Epstein class, the powers that be, belief systems, books, creeds, dogmas and even unseen forces, one truth remains clear (at least to me), Omniscience God always prevails. May you all be blessed this Easter by remembering that our Lord, Christ Jesus of Nazareth is an eternal living being and loves each of us more than we can currently comprehend.

OM. Namaste. Amen.

UPDATED paperback book NOW AVAILABLE on Amazon! We Are All Connected: The How and The Why. An analytical mind searches for answers.

Yes, my husband has always said I’d never be able to unalive myself because I would never be able to finish my suic*de note, alas, here I am AGAIN with an announcement involving this PAPERBACK book! LOL! I had to update my 5th book, We Are All Connected: The How and The Why. An analytical mind searches for answers because one of my most dedicated readers, Brenda F. (who wrote a beautiful review on Amazon for my Blue Eyes book), and who had waited patiently for Amazon to get the paperback made available, since it was supposed to Go Live on March 18th, but didn’t. You see, she got the first copy of We Are All Connected in paperback and then because the text was a bit blurry, couldn’t read it! She and I were both devastated!

Thus, I knew what I had to do. I had to go back into Scrivener and change the fonts on the original manuscript, (several times actually) so I could ensure the final page count was at least close to the original 629 pages so I wouldn’t have to pay to have the cover redone! And believe me, I gave Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing a piece of my mind about that! It’s not easy to update a manuscript and know what the final page count would be until it’s uploaded again–and that’s a whole process too!

Now, I’m thrilled to say the updated paperback is AVAILABLE on Amazon! Woo-hoo doesn’t begin to cover it either! And because Brenda helped me improve the paperback, I’m sending her a signed copy for FREE! That’s just how I am. I’m so happy that she told me there was an issue, as my daughter had told me she also thought the typeface was blurry, but we had thought that was because we were looking at proof copies. I seriously thought it was an issue with the printing service! Ugh. No, it was my choice of fonts. Now, it’s in Times New Roman 16 point size, and I expanding the line spacing as well. I actually thought it would expand the number of pages, so I removed some images. So, if you bought the eBook, you’ll actually see more images than will appear in the paperback. There’s a plus for you. I have no plans to update the eBook, yet. I can do it pretty easily, but I’m torn. I liked all the original images I’d included. I’m waiting to see how the eBook sells. If people like it, I’m going to leave it as is. I have a few readers actually listening to it on their phones! Apparently, there’s a setting on phones that reads eBooks to you–I didn’t know that! (Why do people do Audible books then? I don’t know. Enlighten me!)

I worked near night and day for three days to get the formatting changed. It wasn’t just so simple as changing it in one place and having Scrivener update it all the way through–though that does work beautifully if one doesn’t do what I did, and setup different styles! Ugh! It seems every time I write a book I make some silly mistake and cost myself time. And that’s exactly what happened!

So, if you’d like to help me out and order a paperback copy, I’d really appreciate it! I know it may not be your cup of tea, but I’m willing to bet you that you know that certain someone in your circle who would love to receive a copy as a GIFT! And it would mean the world to me if this book sells well. Not just for the money, but as a wink that all my work has not been in vain. Plus, I’d simply love for more people to know what I now know. I learned so much during the research of this book!

NEW paperback book NOW AVAILABLE on Amazon! We Are All Connected: The How and The Why. An analytical mind searches for answers.

My 5th book, We Are All Connected: The How and The Why. An analytical mind searches for answers is NOW AVAILABLE on Amazon! Woo-hoo!

We’re taking the WOO out of the box for sure with this one! This book has been more than 20 years in the making. If you feel drawn to big questions about how we’re all connected (science, spirituality, and real life), and are looking for the big and deep answers, this is IT! This book blends science, spirituality, and personal experience, and follows my analytical mind’s 20‑year journey for how—and why—we might truly be connected.

This book dives into quantum science, spirituality, and personal stories about connection. It explores questions like “Are we really separate individuals, or fractals of one whole?” and “What does it mean to live as if connection is real?” If that’s your kind of rabbit hole, I’d love for you to read it. I’m sooo excited!!!

Wow! Who does that?!? (And that’s why I gave Andy a shout out in the book)!

I’d sure appreciate if you’d check out, We Are All Connected: The How and The Why!

My NEW book goes LIVE tonight at midnight on Amazon! We Are All Connected: The How and The Why. An analytical mind searches for answers.

My 5th book, We Are All Connected: The How and The Why. An analytical mind searches for answers goes LIVE tonight at midnight, March 18th, 2026 (the 600+ page paperback was released on Amazon on March 21st!) The book dives into quantum science, spirituality, and personal stories about connection. It explores questions like “Are we really separate individuals, or fractals of one whole?” and “What does it mean to live as if connection is real?” If that’s your kind of rabbit hole, I’d love for you to read it. The book is large in scope. 600+ pages! MARCH 18th, 2026 –> Is Sheela na gig day! And the day my dad and I were going to meetup, but dad passed ten days prior. And that’s why I wanted to launch my 5th book on THAT DATE as a huge wink to my daddy on the Other Side!

March 8th is the anniversary of the day of my daddy’s soul departure–see my previous post regarding that: https://sheilamurrey.net/2019/04/19/a-surreal-vision-of-soul-departing/

I owe a huge THANK YOU to Lauren Scott (see her blog at: https://laurenscottdev.wordpress.com), who’s comment motivated every day these last few months to complete, We Are All Connected: The How and The Why. Yes, every author needs motivation to complete their work.

I had been procrastinating for a YEAR, as my fellow author and blogger buddy Michael (80smetalman: https://80smetalman.wordpress.com and https://peacefulrampage.wordpress.com ) will attest! Michael and I have been meeting on Zoom calls for more than a year, as he’s completing a second follow up book to He Was Weird, and I had been sitting on the manuscript for my 5th book for months and months. I was uninspired to finish it since my previous books were not selling and I’d been convinced it was due to Amazon algorithms pushing them down in the list. Ugh. But Lauren, wow! This one comment of hers helped more than I’d ever thought it could:

I’d sure appreciate if you’d check out, We Are All Connected: The How and The Why! Here’s the link to order it from Amazon. And when Amazon releases the paperback version, it will show up there as well.

p.s. I go back to the chiropractor next Tuesday to see what he says about my two numb toes. I hope it’s nothing serious (and maybe only related to the sciatica, which I also hope he’ll fix), so I can get back to dancing again.

Integrating the Spirals

I’m encouraging those “over 60” to observe and gently question their thought patterns, pre-conceived beliefs, aka ‘Programming’ to ease grief and suffering, and gain new perspectives–that’s why I teach Integrating the Spirals. We can become strong and resilient in spirit, soul, mind, and body. And it’s healthy to expand our consciousness and question EVERYTHING! Just observe, don’t absorb.

I asked about twenty friends if they recommended a trusted source for someone to work with me on getting any future paperback books into Kindle Create / KDP for Amazon publishing, but only one actually knew a person, one knew someone who had recently published but that person was unavailable to answer yet as they are on a cruise, and another suggested a publisher. When I told her I wasn’t looking for a publisher, they suggested a new software tool, which I think is going to be like Scrivener.

I already use Scrivener and think it could have probably did more for me to improve the formatting of my manuscript, but I am not an expert in it. Thus, I’m not going to try another new piece of software before becoming expert in Scrivener. And by the time I become an expert in that, I will either start charing money to teach others how to use it, or I will start churning out more books myself! Ha!

Again, the paperback book publishing date is: March 18th, 2026! Just days away!!! So, if you are going to order the book, please either preorder it (though I am not sure if the eBook purchases count towards bestseller status, but it sure helps me financially), or set a reminder for yourself to order the paperback on March 18th, so I have a better shot at getting a bestseller ranking on Amazon.

I’d sure appreciate it! Here’s the link to order from Amazon.

p.s. I just got Richard to dance with me and put a couple different videos of that on YouTube at the link below. One is a full view of his music room and the other is a “short” that I had to record from off my laptop, because I couldn’t create a short from the full view video. One has to create and upload a “short” from their phone. Go figure! Limited technology.

Book Launch date is set! We Are All Connected: The How and The Why drops March 18th, 2026

I’m excited to tell you that I’m currently wrapping up the final touches on the formatting for Kindle Direct Publishing to launch this much anticipated 5th book, We Are All Connected: The How and The Why. An analytical mind searches for answers. I have been working nearly night and day the last several months to birth this incredible book and believe me, I’m beat! (I don’t think I have another book in me at this point!)

Meme: I created this in Canva. I actually do have a Visual Communications / Digital Design degree, from back in 2004. But though I have paid for Canva in the past, I didn’t want to pay them again and continue to have issues with the cover, so I hired a book cover designer on Fiverr. I’ll focus on making fun memes like this in Canva for free in support of launching the new book, We Are All Connected: The How and The Why, on March 18th, 2026!

Here’s the link where you can preorder, We Are All Connected: The How and The Why. An analytical mind searches for answers. (The link will take you to my Amazon author page).

If it doesn’t work yet, it will in a few days. I’m still making final page edits (to ensure new chapters start on the right hand side page, and that the headers and footers that KDP adds, will be removed, because I already have page numbers and book title on the manuscript that match the Table of Contents. Ugh! It’s such a process!

I’ve really been doing a juggling act (and I’m also learning juggling right now too, in another Zoom group I’m in), because I’ve also been on social media a bit more every day to market the book… here’s a few of my posts:

It’s a big scope. 600+ pages! Book launch date: MARCH 18th, 2026 –> It’s Sheela na gig day! And the day my dad and I were going to meetup, but dad passed ten days prior. So this is… launching my 5th book on THAT DATE is a huge wink to my daddy on the Other Side!

If I ever write another book, I will pay someone to do the KDP part. The older I get the less techie I want to be, though I did have to fix a book cover error that my Fiverr book cover designer couldn’t figure out today (and it didn’t help that KDP didn’t provide a REASON for the error, when it wouldn’t upload.) Ugh!

Screen capture: View of the book cover error in KDP. I still have no idea what was wrong with it.

But here you can see my comment to the Fiverr designer of what I did to fix the error and get the book cover file to upload successfully into KDP:

Screen capture: My comments in Fiverr to the book cover designer. The last comment includes my fix.

Another dilemma I have is that I wanted to print the paperback in color, that is, with a color interior so all of the images in the book will be in color. None of my other books had color interiors, and I really wanted that for this book. But it’s 630 pages in a 7×10 size. KDP will only print in color for books under 600 pages.

I will offer a Kindle version of the book (EPUB), and all of the images will be in color, so at least everyone will have that option. Plus, the ebook will be less expensive. I love ebooks to save trees! And searching through books for various things is sooo much easier too. Hehe!

Again, the book launch date as: March 18th, 2026! Just days away!!! So, if you are going to order the book, please either preorder it or buy it on March 18th, so I have a better shot at getting a bestseller ranking on Amazon. I’d sure appreciate it! Here’s the link to order from Amazon.

Integrating the Spirals

I’m encouraging those “over 60” to observe and gently question their thought patterns, pre-conceived beliefs, aka ‘Programming’ to ease grief and suffering, and gain new perspectives–that’s why I teach Integrating the Spirals. AND I also encourage all of us to move our bodies more consistently (most of us are stuck in our heads and physically unhealthy because of it). We can do better! We can become strong and resilient in spirit, soul, mind, and body. And it’s healthy to expand our consciousness and question EVERYTHING! Just observe, don’t absorb.

Aspects of The Trinity: Christian View (Part 9 of a series)

Here’s Part 9 and the final post in this fascinating series on The Trinity, a journey I embarked upon while reading the Theosophy book, The Masters and The Path.

In Christian doctrine, the Trinity is one God in three distinct persons: FatherSon, and Holy Spirit, all fully and equally God yet personally distinct. The Holy Spirit is not formally identified as feminine in the Bible, but some biblical language (especially Hebrew “Spirit” as ruach) is grammatically feminine, and Christian tradition gives Mary a strong “Divine Mother” symbolism while still clearly distinguishing her from the Trinity.

Father, Son and Holy Spirit

  • The Father: The unoriginate source within the Godhead, who “begets” the Son and, with the Son, is origin of the Spirit; associated with creating and willing the plan of salvation.
  • The Son (Jesus Christ): Eternally begotten of the Father, consubstantial with him, who becomes incarnate as true God and true man to reveal God and accomplish redemption by his life, death, and resurrection.
  • The Holy Spirit: The third person, proceeding from the Father (and, in Western theology, from the Father and the Son), who indwells believers, gives life, sanctifies, and guides the Church.

Is the Holy Spirit “feminine” in Scripture?

  • In the Old Testament, the main word for “spirit” is Hebrew ruach, which is grammatically feminine, so passages about the Spirit of God sometimes use a feminine noun, though this reflects grammar rather than a defined female “person” in later doctrine.
  • In the New Testament, Greek pneuma (“Spirit”) is grammatically neuter, and mainstream Christian theology treats God as beyond human gender while still typically retaining masculine pronouns for Father and Son and a mix of images (some maternal) for God and the Spirit.

Mary and “Divine Motherhood”

  • The Church (especially Catholic and Orthodox traditions) calls Mary Mother of God (Theotokos), not because she precedes or “creates” the divine nature, but because the one she bore is truly God the Son incarnate.
  • She is richly honored with maternal titles such as “Blessed Virgin,” “Universal Mother,” “Queen of Angels,” “Queen of Heaven,” and “Star of the Sea” (Stella Maris), expressing her spiritual motherhood of believers and her intercessory role, yet she is explicitly not counted as a fourth divine person or as a member of the Trinity.

Marian imagery and the “Divine Feminine”

Official doctrine, however, keeps a clear boundary: the persons of the Trinity are Father, Son, and Holy Spirit alone, whereas Mary is a uniquely graced human being and Mother of Jesus, honored above all saints but always as a creature, not as a divine hypostasis.

Many Christians experience Mary as an icon of the Divine Motherhood of God: a human, creaturely reflection of the nurturing, protective, and compassionate aspects of God’s love, which some theologians also associate symbolically with the action of the Spirit.

Aspects of The Trinity: Hindu Trimurti (Part 8 of a series)

Here’s Part 8 as I wind down this series on The Trinity, a rabbit hole I decided to explore from a Zoom book club I’m part of that’s been reading the Theosophy book, The Masters and The Path.

In Hindu thought, Shiva, Vishnu, and Brahma form the Trimurti, a threefold expression of the one ultimate reality (Brahman), but they are not a “Trinity” in the same sense as the Christian doctrine of three co‑equal persons in one God. The Trimurti instead symbolizes three cosmic functions—creation, preservation, and destruction/transforming—that work together in a single, cyclical process.

Who Brahma Is

  • Brahma is the creator aspect: he represents the power through which the universe and living beings come into manifestation.
  • In many traditions he is understood as one “form” or mode of Brahman, responsible for the initiating, imaginative, and knowledge‑oriented side of reality.

Who Vishnu Is

  • Vishnu is the preserver or sustainer: he maintains cosmic order (dharma), protects the world, and restores balance when it is disturbed.
  • His many avatars (such as Rama and Krishna) are seen as interventions of the preserving aspect of the divine within history and myth.

Who Shiva Is

  • Shiva is the destroyer/transformer: he dissolves forms, ego, and ignorance so that new creation can arise, emphasizing transformation rather than mere annihilation.
  • As the ascetic yogi and ecstatic dancer (Nataraja), Shiva embodies the power that ends a cycle and simultaneously opens the way for renewal.

Trimurti and the Christian Trinity

  • The Trimurti gathers Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva as three functions or forms of one ultimate reality (Brahman), expressing a dynamic cycle of creation, preservation, and destruction.
  • The Christian Trinity, by contrast, is three distinct, co‑equal persons (Father, Son, Spirit) sharing one essence, not three functional roles of one God acting in time, so any one‑to‑one mapping (e.g., “Brahma = Father, Vishnu = Son, Shiva = Spirit”) is a comparative analogy used in interfaith dialogue, not a native Hindu teaching.

Aspects of The Trinity: Zoroastrian religion (Part 7 of a series)

Here’s Part 7 as I continue my search for The Trinity within many of the world’s religions or myths, as an outgrowth from a Zoom book club I’m part of that’s been reading the Theosophy book, The Masters and The Path.

In Zoroastrianism there are a few important triads of beings and principles, but they are not a “Trinity” in the Christian sense of three consubstantial persons in one God. Rather, they are either aspects of Ahura Mazda’s wisdom and goodness, or opposed powers in a cosmic dualism of good and evil.

Key Zoroastrian figures

  • Ahura Mazda: The supreme Wise Lord, creator and source of all that is good, truth‑aligned, and life‑giving in Zoroastrianism.
  • Asha (Asha Vahishta): The principle (and also an Amesha Spenta) of truth, right order, and righteousness, the cosmic order established by Ahura Mazda; its opposite is druj (deceit, falsehood, chaos).
  • Vohu Manah (Vohumano): “Good Mind” or “Good Purpose,” another Amesha Spenta, representing the enlightened, benevolent mentality through which humans align their thoughts with Ahura Mazda’s will.

Ahura Mazda, Asha, Vohu Manah and “trinity”

  • These three can be seen as:
    • Ahura Mazda: the highest God.
    • Asha: divine truth/order.
    • Vohu Manah: divine good mind.
  • In some modern or comparative discussions, people speak loosely of a “Zoroastrian trinity” here, but in the original theology Asha and Vohu Manah are emanations or attributes (Amesha Spentas) of Ahura Mazda, not co‑equal persons within one Godhead.

Ahura Mazda, Mithra, Ahriman

  • Mithra: An important yazata (worthy of worship) associated with covenants, light, and justice, often invoked alongside Ahura Mazda and other deities in later Iranian practice.
  • Ahriman (Angra Mainyu): The destructive or evil spirit, the adversary of Ahura Mazda and/or the beneficent spirit (Spenta Mainyu), representing deceit, darkness, and death.
  • When Ahura Mazda, Mithra, and Ahriman are mentioned together in modern comparisons, the pattern is usually:
    • Ahura Mazda: supreme good deity.
    • Mithra: a major helper/mediator figure on the side of good.
    • Ahriman: the evil opponent.
But this is a cosmic dualism plus helpers, not a unified three‑in‑one deity.

Relation (and non‑relation) to the Christian Trinity

Because of this, any mapping like “Ahura Mazda = Father, Asha or Vohu Manah = Spirit, Mithra = Son, Ahriman = Satan” is a later comparative analogy, not something native to Zoroastrian doctrine. It can be spiritually suggestive, but it is historically and theologically imprecise.

Christian Trinity: three distinct, co‑equal, co‑eternal persons (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) sharing one divine essence, without an independent evil being.

Zoroastrian structures:

A single supreme God (Ahura Mazda) surrounded by emanations/aspects (Amesha Spentas such as Asha and Vohu Manah).

A real, opposing evil principle (Ahriman/Angra Mainyu) in cosmic struggle with the good.

Aspects of The Trinity: Jewish Kabbalah (Part 6 of a series)

Here’s Part 6 of my continued search for The Trinity, as an outgrowth from a Zoom book club I’m part of that’s been reading the Theosophy book, The Masters and The Path.

In Jewish Kabbalah, Keter, Chokhmah, and Binah are the three “supernal” sefirot at the top of the Tree of Life, often treated as a highest triad that describes how the infinite Divine first begins to emanate into creation. They are not a “trinity of persons” in the Christian sense, but three phases or aspects of Divine emanation and consciousness.

Keter (Kether) – Crown

  • Keter means “Crown” and is the first sefirah, the closest point to the infinite Ein Sof, representing the primordial, undifferentiated Divine will or pure being before any polarity or form.
  • It is described as a blinding, formless light or “hidden intelligence,” beyond ordinary comprehension, from which all other sefirot emanate; it is the archetypal source rather than a defined personality.

Chokhmah (Chokma) – Wisdom

  • Chokhmah, “Wisdom,” is the second sefirah, the first dynamic outflow from Keter, often symbolized as active, masculine, expansive, pure force or energy.
  • It is the primordial flash of insight or creative impulse, sometimes called the “All‑Father,” which pours forth limitless vitality that will later be shaped and limited by Binah.

Binah – Understanding

  • Binah, “Understanding,” is the third sefirah, the receptive, formative principle that receives the outflow of Chokhmah and gives it structure, boundaries, and intelligible form.
  • It is associated with the archetypal feminine, the “womb” of creation and the root of form and matter, turning raw wisdom‑energy into differentiated patterns that can unfold through the lower seven sefirot.

The supernal triad (not a “person” Trinity)

Later esoteric systems sometimes map this triad onto “crown–father–mother” archetypes or compare it with various trinities, but in classical Kabbalah it is primarily a metaphysical schema of emanation, not three separate divine individuals.

Together, Keter, Chokhmah, and Binah are called the “three Supernals,” constituting the highest, most subtle level of the Tree: Keter as the ineffable One, Chokhmah as outflowing force, and Binah as receptive form.

Aspects of The Trinity: Celtic Druidic traditions (Part 5 of a series)

Here’s Part 5 of my continued search to understand more about The Trinity, as an outgrowth from a Zoom book club I’m part of that’s been reading the Theosophy book, The Masters and The Path.

Taulac, Fan, and Mollac are names later writers attribute to a supposed Druidic “triune god,” but they are not securely attested deities in genuine ancient Celtic or Druidic tradition. They come from 18th–19th‑century antiquarian and occult interpretations that try to map a universal Trinity pattern onto many religions, rather than from reliable pre‑Christian Celtic sources.

Historically grounded Celtic studies generally treat this “Taulac, Fan, Mollac” triad as speculative and late rather than as authentic, well‑documented Druid belief.

Taulac, Fan, and Mollac are not native, independently attested Celtic gods; they arise from a 19th‑century speculative attempt to read a “Trinity” into Druidic religion based on a single, much‑interpreted Irish phrase. The triad is therefore an antiquarian and occult construction rather than a securely documented Druidic doctrine.

The key Irish phrase

  • The origin is a line quoted by later writers as: “Ain treidhe Dia ainm Tau‑lac, Fan, Mollac,” glossed as “Ain, triple God, whose name is Taulac, Fan, Mollac.”
  • This is cited second‑hand by 18th–19th‑century authors (for example in works like The Celtic Druids and The Book of God: The Apocalypse of Adam‑Oannes), not from a direct, early Druidic text, and no clear, independent tradition around these three names is preserved in early Irish literature.

How the “triad” was constructed

  • Antiquarian writers took that single formula of invocation and reinterpreted it as evidence that the Druids worshipped a formal triune deity, explicitly comparing Taulac–Fan–Mollac to Brahma–Vishnu–Shiva in India and other cultural “trinities.”
  • In these speculative systems, each name is allegorically assigned a function (for example, the third, Mollac, is equated with a “Destroyer” and then connected to biblical Moloch), but these functions come from the author’s comparative theology, not from preserved Druidic myth.

Status in modern scholarship

Authentic early Irish sources mention many gods and triadic motifs, but a fixed high “Trinity” named Taulac, Fan, and Mollac is not part of that corpus; it is essentially a later esoteric reinterpretation imposed on fragmentary and ambiguous evidence.

Modern Celtic and Druidic studies generally treat “Taulac, Fan, Mollac” as a curiosity of 18th–19th‑century comparative religion and theosophical writing, not as a reliable window into pre‑Christian Celtic belief.

Aspects of The Trinity: Assyrians and Phoenicians (Part 4 of a series)

Here’s Part 4 that continues the search into the search to understand more about The Trinity, as an outgrowth from a Zoom book club I’m part of that’s been reading the Theosophy book, The Masters and The Path.

In Mesopotamian religion (taken over by Assyrians and influencing West‑Semitic peoples), Anu, Ea, and Bel are often presented as a kind of “high triad” of chief gods, symbolically parallel to a trinity of Heaven, Earth, and the Deep. Their exact roles and names shift with time and region, but the pattern is clear.

Anu

  • Anu (Sumerian An) is the sky god, the high god of heaven and one of the oldest deities of the Mesopotamian pantheon, often seen as “king of the gods” and ultimate source of divine authority.
  • He represents the lofty, remote heavenly sphere: he allots functions to the other gods, stands at the head of the Anunnaki, and in later theologizing appears as the first “person” of the upper triad (Anu, Bel/Enlil, Ea).

Bel (Enlil)

  • “Bel” is a title meaning “Lord”; in this specific triad it normally designates Enlil, the great god of earth/air, centered at Nippur, who becomes the active ruler of the cosmos under heaven.
  • As Bel/Enlil, he is called “lord of the lands,” associated with the ordered world between heaven and the deep, and functions as the powerful executive deity—governing the earth, decreeing destinies, and heading the official divine assembly beneath Anu.

Ea (Enki)

  • Ea (Sumerian Enki) is the god of the deep (the subterranean fresh waters, Apsu), wisdom, magic, and crafts, with his main cult center at Eridu.
  • As the third of the great triad, he embodies the watery, under‑worldly but beneficent depths: source of hidden wisdom, ritual knowledge, and civilizing arts, often acting as a clever, saving deity who advises humans and other gods.

The “Trinity” Pattern

This scheme is Mesopotamian rather than specifically “Phoenician,” though later West‑Semitic and Hellenistic writers sometimes drew parallels or genealogies from it; in Mesopotamia itself it is a theological construction rather than three “persons” in a later Christian sense.

Together Anu, Bel (Enlil), and Ea were formulated by theologians as a canonical triad ruling the three great cosmic zones: Heaven (Anu), Earth/air (Bel), and the Deep/Waters (Ea), invoked in royal inscriptions and curses as the supreme divine court.

I find this last paragraph interesting and draw parallels with pagan knowledge regarding revering nature, when it looks to Heaven, Earth and Air, and the Deep Waters.
