I popped up out of my writing hole for a few minutes the other day to read this article about Xania Monet the other day because the subject hit close to home for us as songwriters who used to rely heavily on having our original songs produced in Nashville, TN. Here’s the article (and embedded video interview) that I recommend you watch, especially if you’re an ‘AI hater’:

Xania Monet is an AI songstress co-created by Telisha “Nikki” Jones and Suno AI. And we use Suno AI (my husband uses the paid version, and I use the free version), to create songs we wouldn’t otherwise be able to produce, physically or financially. In our opinion, the music studios have priced themselves out of existence!
Yes, my husband has spent over $100,000 in the last twenty years, no exaggeration, to have his 400+ original songs demoed in Nashville, TN. And I’m not complaining. We have an astounding collection of REAL songs thanks to those studio singers and musicians. But since my husband had a stroke in October 2022, and since I retired in December 2023, he cannot play guitar and bass like he used to and we simply cannot afford to send songs to the top music studios anymore.
Before we learned of Suno AI we sent some songs to musician friends who did the best they could to demo our songs–in their home studios and on their timetable (which tended to be a bit too slow for us). Some of those songs turned out good, but they weren’t of anything like the quality we had been used to receiving back from our favorite Nashville music studio. And I won’t even get started on how much we were paying top talent singers who kept raising their prices to sing each song! Ugh.
So, go figure. We spread as much wealth around as we could for as long as we could. Now, we just don’t have it.
Enter Suno AI. People can hate Artificial Intelligence all they want. I used to as well! After all, I’d had 35 years in Information Technology as a Business Analyst and Technical Writer so why would I want to use more tech when it came down to our soul passion of songwriting and producing? I sing and feel it in my soul when I sing, and when other incredible talents, like Adam Cunningham hit deep. I get it. We love Adele too! We want to be moved by incredible singers. But there’s a place for AI. And I do NOT understand why people are fighting it.
Here’s the thing. When one has no other choice and the choice (as it turns out) is this good, sometimes you just gotta give it a go!
My husband embraced Suno AI and has been churning out several songs a day using it since February 2025. It’s given him a certain vitality back and zest for living too! And that’s priceless to me.
I used my Integrating the Spirals process to ease me over my “hating AI” bumps and began using the free version of Suno AI to get some of my poems set to music (and I’ve used some on my YouTube channel to help share information about my Integrating philosophy too).
I can’t say we’re making any money yet from our AI generated songs, like Telisha “Nikki” Jones is with Xania Monet, but the process has been instantly gratifying and that’s not too shabby!
To get some idea of the kinds of music my husband creates, check out his YouTube channel and remember anything before Feb. 2025 was produced by high dollar Nashville studios, and anything more recent (even his redo’s) were produced by AI. Thanks!

To wrap this up, here’s one of the comments I posted on Xania Monet’s YouTube videos:

Integrating the Spirals
I’m encouraging those “over 60” to open to lifelong learning (observe and gently question their pre-conceived beliefs, aka ‘Programming’), become more aware of their thoughts and emotions, consistently move their bodies (too many are stuck in their heads and physically unhealthy), become strong, and resilient in spirit, soul, mind, body. And to question EVERYTHING!

Your reflection captures the genuine spirit of creativity, resilience, and adaptation. It’s moving how you and your husband have turned a difficult chapter into a renaissance of expression through Suno AI. The way you describe this journey — from decades of traditional studio work in Nashville to embracing cutting-edge technology — shows an open heart and a fearless artist’s mindset. 🎶

We all have different preferences. I don’t hate AI. I prefer music created by human beings with God as the source of third-party inspiration. We can all be right for loving what we love, even if it’s different.

I appreciate that too, so much, Debra. As you know, with the way I feel GodBumps, which I felt might be too much to explain AGAIN, in this post (because I have written about it so much before), I certainly get what you’re saying. I very much love and am addicted to feeling GodBumps when a REAL person sings. If only someone would love to sing OUR songs! But with the rate of speed Richard is channeling new songs through, we’d have to be millionaires to accomplish getting all that’s coming through him done/produced by REAL artists. I am now thinking Omniscience God brought AI into existence BECAUSE of this need to more rapidly get our songs and others out into the world and past the music industry GATE KEEPERS who were all about the money! Ha! Thank you!!!

It’s hard to say what people will like and not like. If we did, we’d hold the golden ticket. 🙂 I know Richard’s heart is invested in his work, by that Truth alone, God will complete the end. I try to accept what I might not know on Earth, that could carry on forever on the other side. Who knows – maybe on of Richard’s songs will be the anthem that is playing when he reaches heaven! What an offering that would be, to be a nobody who was always a somebody to God – and we had the patience and Faith to carry on based on all the Divine Possibilities. It’s a stretch when our highest hope is to know the Truth in the land of the living. I’m grateful for the Speed of AI for calculating data. Though, AI has returned the wrong answers on Google. When I tell Google AI it’s wrong, it looks again, and apologizes when it corrects the truth. 🙂 LOL

I love this so much, Debra. I’m sorry it’s taken me so long to reply though. Yes, AI is sooo quick! But as you say, it gets it wrong sometimes. I have used several and some lean Left and others lean Right, politically. You can tell when you read their answers sometimes. I think because I am to stay neutral I pick up on those things. And when I sense certain political leanings, I challenge the answers or remove them from whatever I’m using them for. I mainly use AI to help me further my thoughts, and ask new questions. I’m not using Google much at all. I am using Perplexity more. And Richard uses ChatGPT. We use Suno for song production (not for lyric generation).
I’ve got a list, but more seem to be added and popping up as I write! Ha! I’m using VidIQ for analysis of my YouTube channel and it’s not even on this list, yet:
