I was aware of Charlie Kirk and Turning Point USA and even donated money at some point. I knew he was hated by the Left for speaking the truth. His death is a terrible shock, and its effects will reverberate around the country. He is a martyr whose legacy will live on and grow stronger.

I’m thankful to know this, Dawn. And that you were a financial donor as well. I didn’t realize how hated he was by some until this happened because every video I saw seemed to be winning students over. Maybe it was elegant editing. Probably so.
I was worried about how things would go in my book club this afternoon because we hadn’t met in 3 weeks, and our teacher and at least half of our group are leftists, I dare say, even (gasp!) Globalists! A few are Masons.
I would write a blog about that but now, I am reevaluating just how much I want to say on my blog. Some of my family want me to quit blogging actually! (Not that I will ever have millions of followers.)
We’re all still processing this terrible event and our feelings that free speech is dead.
