It’s December 31st, 2024; We’ve got TWO original fun songs for your New Year’s Eve and to finish out 2024 and this year-long self-challenge I’ve been on! Woo-hoo! We made it through the year! These two high vibe songs are big favorites of ours!
This is the three-hundred-sixty-sixth new music post for 2024! Adam Cunningham brings his fantastic vocals front and center on both of these original songs! Gonna Open a Bar is a rock country fusion and Tip Jar is a a bit more country song–but both are full of energy! And you get to hear both sides of his voice in these solid hits. Both of these hot original songs were recorded and mixed by the aWEsOMe team at Beaird Music Group of Nashville, TN. https://www.beairdmusicgroup.com
AND
Can you tell I’m excited to finish out this year-long, self-challenge? Haha! I am! I’m sooo excited! And new things are already beginning to happen…
Did you catch the blog article I published about an hour before this one? If you didn’t see it, here’s the link: https://sheilamurrey.net/2024/12/31/new-years-eve-2024/ I’d been reading (I forget from which blogger) that if you put a frog outside your door it will bring good luck in the new year. So, I’d mentioned to Linda of Handmade Haven by Linda on Etsy, that she might consider making a frog when she started a new wood burning project. And she did! She’s so great, she went for it and sent me a picture so as soon as she posted it to Etsy, if I wanted (no obligation), I could buy it! Free shipping too! Woo-hoo! Score!

The hairy coo
I think I forgot something else. I never posted my completed hairy coo from a few months ago! Ha!
Can you see that I’m trying to tie up loose ends?

Reflecting on the year
After the numbers are in for the whole year, I’ll post my WordPress stats. But suffice to say, my readership is up, WAY UP over last year… and I know that’s because of EACH of you, opening, reading, and joining me in the comments (both on my posts and on yours), all through 2024! I’ve taken more time to read more posts thoroughly and thoughtfully comment. People know when others are REALLY reading, not just skimming their posts. I’ve honestly enjoyed getting to know my favorite bloggers this year and dive in deep with them.
I took a cue from Max over at PowerPopBlog to list each of you and your blogs to give you ALL props for encouraging me this year! Your comments and well wishes really do keep a gal focused and motivated! For sure! I hope I haven’t forgotten anyone, if so, know you are loved, and I will add you (let me know, please)! A few of you, I’ve only just begun to chat with, so I’ll be sure and do this again at the end of 2025, Omniscience willing we make it that far. Tada! Thank you, thank you, thank YOU!

If I haven’t chatted with you for a while, just know that I have you on my list and it will happen. 2025 is my year for focused attention, and making more conscious time for chatting with you! Oh, and finishing up my 5th book. Ha! Yeah, there’s still THAT.
Aaron Abke
Okay, I might become obsessed with Aaron Abke. I’m now listening to his podcast episodes and finding a lot of value in them. I have said many of the things he talks about and I kind of have felt like I was on an island! So, I’m finding it all very exciting and thrilling that we’re on the same page, spiritually-speaking. I wonder if he’s read all of Shirley MacLaine’s books too? LOL Here’s one of his podcast episodes to get you started: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-aaron-abke-podcast/id1551862919?i=1000654095882
Here’s to an ever-expanding, enlightening, brilliant 2025 everyone! I wish you ALL a very Happy New Year!

Everything happens for a reason in the multiverse and there are myriad sides to every story
Yes, Everything Happens for a Reason in the multiverse and Everything Resolves to Gratitude. Knowing that each of us (as fractals) uplifts my mind and allows me to view life as a lively kaleidoscope grand design that moves about in an ever-expanding, revolving, melodious, consciousness. Even if we have to disconnect from some people, for a time.
Enjoy (IN Joy) everything and love! Be Everything All the Time. Let’s soar in ’24! And let’s (are you ready for this?) THRIVE in ’25! or just be… Alive in ’25.
Yours in expanding, coexisting (because there’s more than one-side to every story), spiraling consciousness,

Shelia….if you don’t mind me asking…who do you pitch it to? I’ve always wondered that.
LikeLiked by 1 person
I pitch to a variety of people on social media. I have used song pluggers in LA and Nashville and have felt like it was money wasted. Most just want to critique the song. None offer ANY proof that they actually took it to one or more artists to have them hear the song.
I also did pitches on Clubhouse to supposed music people, labels, reps, whatever.
It’s a luck thing. And even Keith Richards has said so (in an interview I saw him in).

I have some I would loved to have plugged but I was afraid of what you are talking about. It IS a luck thing I believe.
I wrote one I would have liked to gave to Nick and Nite…but I didn’t know how.
It’s so hard to be heard by the right people.

Right exactly, Max. So many con artists out there. And now, Richard and I are both retired and don’t have expendable income to waste.
I do have time though now, so once I have a strategy I can hammer away on it.
I am making a list of sound engineers and producers to reach out to on LinkedIn, X, Facebook, etc.
I don’t want to lose hope!

If they play music like that, I’ll definitely go to that bar and leave money in the tip jar. Oooh, I made a rhyme.
