It’s November 14th, 2024; We’ve got a modern country song for you today. Adam Cunningham offered his smooth soulful vocals in this true story song. Penned by my husband, Richard Murrey, this is a lively and poignant story from his youth–and there’s a lesson in it.

I love Richard’s life stories. Richard has taught me sooo much in the 20+ years we’ve been together. His knowledge and wisdom are broad and vastly superior to anyone I’ve ever known. That’s saying a lot too, because my parents were super intelligent and wise. Though I don’t think Richard has faced as many moral ambiguities as my parents did. Then again… maybe he has! Ha! I don’t think we can ever really know a person. We’re all just too multifaceted.

My husband and I both enjoy teaching; question EVERYTHING

I asked my daughter yesterday, “What good is all of my life experience if I can’t help people?” And my husband feels the same way. We can preach here via this blog, my books, and Richard’s original songs, but if people aren’t willing to read, listen, or learn from us, what are we (and our vast life experiences) good for?

Yes, Everything Happens for a Reason and Everything Resolves to Gratitude. Knowing that each of us (as fractals) uplifts my mind and allows me to view life as a lively kaleidoscope grand design that moves about in an ever-expanding, revolving, melodious, consciousness. Even if we have to disconnect from some people, for a time.

  2. Another excellent song and I would have loved to have you as a teacher. As one myself, I do encourage dissenting opinions in my classrooms so we can bring it out in the open. My standard line is ‘The only silly question is the one that’s never asked.’
