It’s November 14th, 2024; We’ve got a modern country song for you today. Adam Cunningham offered his smooth soulful vocals in this true story song. Penned by my husband, Richard Murrey, this is a lively and poignant story from his youth–and there’s a lesson in it.
This is the three-hundred-seventeenth new music post for 2024! Richard loves to offer a moral-of-the-story in his unique story songs. And this one serves us well, especially after watching Mad Max and Mad Max 2 last night. This radio-ready original song was produced by the wonderful Beaird Music Group of Nashville, TN. https://www.beairdmusicgroup.com
I love Richard’s life stories. Richard has taught me sooo much in the 20+ years we’ve been together. His knowledge and wisdom are broad and vastly superior to anyone I’ve ever known. That’s saying a lot too, because my parents were super intelligent and wise. Though I don’t think Richard has faced as many moral ambiguities as my parents did. Then again… maybe he has! Ha! I don’t think we can ever really know a person. We’re all just too multifaceted.
My husband and I both enjoy teaching; question EVERYTHING
I asked my daughter yesterday, “What good is all of my life experience if I can’t help people?” And my husband feels the same way. We can preach here via this blog, my books, and Richard’s original songs, but if people aren’t willing to read, listen, or learn from us, what are we (and our vast life experiences) good for?

Food is a form of healthcare

You’re not too busy
As for me and my house, we’ll listen to our inner Truth. I practice what I preach.

Everything happens for a reason
Yes, Everything Happens for a Reason and Everything Resolves to Gratitude. Knowing that each of us (as fractals) uplifts my mind and allows me to view life as a lively kaleidoscope grand design that moves about in an ever-expanding, revolving, melodious, consciousness. Even if we have to disconnect from some people, for a time.
Enjoy (IN Joy) everything and love! Be Everything All the Time. Let’s soar in ’24! And let’s (are you ready for this?) THRIVE in ’25!
Yours in expanding, caring and sharing, spiraling consciousness,
Sheila “Spiral Sister” Murrey

Exactly, Dawn. And this is why I bring God, Spirituality, and the various dogmas into the conversation on ny blog and in my books. Too many Christians are told not to practice yoga, Acupuncture, etc. and I am here to dispel the myths. Thank you!

Another excellent song and I would have loved to have you as a teacher. As one myself, I do encourage dissenting opinions in my classrooms so we can bring it out in the open. My standard line is ‘The only silly question is the one that’s never asked.’

Aww, I love that, Michael. I would have enjoyed being in your classes. I have spent my whole life having the difficult conversations and navigating them. While I coming to a win-win conclusion is a wonderful goal it hasn’t always been possible. Your standard line is the best!

Thank you Sheila. Actually, it was my senior drill instructor in boot camp who first said it.

If you would have posted that vaccine twitter in 2021…it would have probably been banned.
