It’s November 6th, 2024; We’ve got a new original country song; it’s a personal song because my husband has written songs on such a variety of topics. Like me, Richard views life from myriad perspectives. I’ll send it out to ALL songwriters who haven’t hit it big. Bubba Hudson sings this song well. And Steven Cooper (Nashville, TN) did a fine job on the song’s production.

This is the three-hundred-ninth new music post for 2024! This song has always reminded me a bit of Barry Manilow’s song, I write the songs. My husband doesn’t have a big Ego though. In fact, he’s one of the most humble guys I know.

Today’s a day of rest for us, after a very late night of watching election results and believing for the future well-being of America. I was hopeful the country would come together and it seems they have. The PEOPLE have spoken!

As I wrote yesterday, I was a career analyst for over three decades. I am wired to figure things out and it’s easy for me to ‘connect the dots’. But I have tried on many perspectives in my 62 years on the earth, and I know I continue to change and transform, based on how the outcomes work out. I live and learn. And I am humble enough to know, I am not always right, and thus, I don’t get too worked up over things when they don’t go in my favor. I hope my friends on the Left will be able to take a fresh look at President Trump, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., Elon Musk, and Tulsi Gabbard. I truly believe we’re going to experience a LOT of great things to come, NOW that this Presidential race and election is over and we can focus on making America HEALTHY again. No censorship. No cancel culture.

  1. I was in shock Sheila that is was that big of gap! I found something on of all places…msnbc…this tells A LOT. The only conservative on their panel said this.
    ‘I’m interpreting the results tonight as revenge of just the regular old working-class American, the anonymous American who has been crushed, insulted, condescended to,’ Jennings said.

    ‘They’re not garbage, they’re not Nazis. They’re just regular people who get up and go to work every day and are trying to make a better life for their kids, and they feel like they have been told to just shut up when they have complained about the things that are hurting them in their own lives.’

      The tide has definitely changed! Talk about GREED. MSNBC knows where the money is! When Americans are prosperous, we ALL win!
      We are watching a Russian vlogger right now and he’s excited. I think the Russians will be very happy when President Trump ends these ridiculous sanctions so we can trade again. The sanctions hurt the USA even more than they hurt Russia though. You’ll see this Ukraine thing come to an end soon, since it was really all just about the money for the B*den regime, deep state, etc. It will end and Americans will forget all about it. Mark my words.

      1. I agree…they actually shut up and let the lone conservative talk. He is so right…thats the way I felt…it turned me off to her message. At one time politicans threw mud at each other…but NOT the voters!
        Yes…I want this to be over soon…I don’t want either side to keep dying…none of them want this…the ones that are actually fighting.

      3. It’s ugly and it loses elections…they will have to reboot the party…that is the good thing to come out of it. If the democrats would get back to where they were 20-30 years ago…I would think…just think about voting for one again.
        I’ve said this a million times so excuse me…but again…why a white, straight, christian male like me would vote for them…I would have no clue. I am the devil to them.

      4. I hear you, Max. Someone said only the unmarried cat ladies voted for Kamala. But who knows really. I surely don’t.
        I am an Independent and friend to many in the LGB/Love&Light circles, but I couldn’t make sense of what the Democratic Party did, giving old Joe the boot AFTER he won the Democratic primaries and installing Kamala, THEN saying President Trump was going to destroy Democracy! They destroyed Democracy within their own Democratic Party. That didn’t pass the logic test! I started realizing just how narcissistic they were. Then again these days I see the hall of mirrors around us all.

      5. I totally agree! Plus the silence of Facebook and Twitter in 2021 and 2020…showed me they cared little about free speech. They will say well we saved lives…but no…what does Biden’s laptop have anything to do with health? It wasn’t just vaccine talk.
        The guy that taught me most about computers was a cross dresser…I didn’t care whatsoever….he/she didn’t cry victim…we treated him/her equally.
        But now…the democrat party equates equality with racism. I’ve probably dropped this quote before but it is: “When people get used to preferential treatment, equal treatment seems like discrimination.”

        I don’t get what my liberal friends are sniffling about. They act like President Trump is going to dismantle all help and support for them. (Like Biden dismantled all the good things President Trump did.)

        The majority of this country is NOT LGBTQ. I don’t know what the percentage is now, but it was supposedly under 5% a few years ago. Is that the tail wagging the dog? Or is there something else going on that I am not privy too?
        And yes, as a holistic health and spiritual type blogger, I am very concerned about Freedom of Speech. Oh, and I definitely care about the Hunter Biden laptop. I think it’s a smoking gun.

      7. That quote is by Thomas Sowell…it has stuck with me through the years.
        I totally agree…and the percentage of Trans is maybe under one percent…they should be equal to everyone but laws should NOT be changed to hurt the majority.
        A bill is in Congress called The Parents Bill of Rights…I talked to my representive about it. Kamala said she would kill it…that was enough for me…like I needed anything else. Basically it gave parents the right to know what their kids are being taught and if your kid was thinking about changing sex…you would actually get to know as a parent. Call me old fashion… but I like that.

      8. I totally agree, Max. Parents are the legal guardians of children for good reasons. If the parents are bad, children (of a certain age) are legally allowed to seek emancipation. But I think the Left is pushing for the ‘village’ ownership of children. I have seen that occur in hospital situations for awhile. The state owns us and wants to own our children too! It’s pushing most people over the edge!
        We follow a Canadian family who moved to Russia with their 8 children (one stayed behind in Canada for college), because of the woke ideaologies Canada is pushing. Amazing that Russia has more traditional values than USA/Canada now! And the Far Left/new Left has caused this.

      9. Justin Trudeau…I don’t know how much you know about him…is Gavin Newsom…almost a twin…he has done to Canada what Newsom has done to California but maybe worse.
        The conservative guy that will win the next election is Pierre Poilievre and he is GREAT. I would love to have him here as our president.

        Canadians are tired of it. F* Trudeau flags are everywhere up there and Pierre has a 20 point lead…so he will be the next PM next year. Canada will be conservative.
        They also want to push CRT and Gender Studies…that doesn’t bother me for high school…but for elementary? It’s creepy and sounds like indoctrination.

        Sorry for going on and on Sheila…if I did this on my blog I would lose half my readership…you are one of the few I can express my feelings! Thank you.

        Yeah, I am with you on the CRT/gender stuff and timing/age appropriate topic.
        I love talking about all of these things. I typically ride in the middle until someone upsets my sense of balance, which the Left has done quite a bit of these last few years.

      12. I agree. I have been Republican, Democrat, and for the last 20 years, an Independent. I just don’t fit in a box. Haha! But yes, I heard a gal once say she was fiscally conservative while being socially liberal, and I like that in theory, but when the rubber hits the road, those liberal ideaologies all cost money.

        It reminds me of that bit by comedian Ron White. Arrested for public intoxication. He said something like, “I wasn’t drunk IN public. I was drunk IN a bar and the bouncers threw me out INTO public.” Ha!

  2. Yes, I hope America can heal. My fear is backlashes against those who didn’t support Trump or the Republican agenda such as LGBQT persons. I believe in giving people a chance and I will do so with Trump. For example, as you know, my daughter married another woman earlier this year and she’s now fearful of what might happen to her if she was to ever go to the States. My concern would be as a father and not any political agenda.

    1. Ah, yes, I do remember. I don’t think gays and lesbians have anything to worry about. Transgender even, except those that want to change from male to play in women’s sports or groom children. I think they just pushed their agenda too far.

      Abraham has always said they aren’t in favor of quantum leaps, and I think that applies in this case.

      I haven’t written about this because it isn’t my story to tell, but I have non-binary, demi-girl and family member who was married to a woman, ow on her second male husband. My daughter and I have these discussions often about ‘people love who they love.’ And it’s all good until they come for the children.
      My granddaughters are 13 and nearly 8 yo twins, so I get it.
      Giving President Trump a chance is all I can ask. I truly look at all sides. I see much more unity on the Right than on the Left right now, and we must get out of these wars and get our physical and fiscal health back.
